Five Star Reviews: | 78% Brown Columbia Jacket February 9, 2017 Great jacket. I don't think its really any warmer than the next coat, but it is good. Fits pretty normal, and the outside fabric seems pretty tough. Hopefully it lasts as long as my other Columbia Jacket (going on 12 years). Light weight, thin, warm January 13, 2017 Nice jacket, light weight and thin, but warm. The color of 'pond' is more green in real life than it in the photos. I wasn't quite sure about it at first, but it's growing on me. Hubby is pleased with it. Excellent jacket/Fits well/Warm for it weight/Good wind protection. December 12, 2015 Fits nicely. Sleeves not too long/fit well.(I always have problems with my jacket sleeves being too long/rest of jacket will fit ok,except sleeves. Not here)Not a superwarm jacket/but very warm for it weight. Wore it outside when it was 45 degrees with a thin sweater and I was good..Also noticed, I don't really sweat in it/even when I overly warm in it.Also, really good at cutting the wind. Weird, you can the feel hitting from the outside/but no air leaks inside. Neat.(also looks good on me/elegant enough for work and good for wearing on weekend when I go hiking) Undercover Burrito Police March 1, 2015 Warm, much warmer than my old 2 piece Columbia jacket (with a second layer jacked attached on a zipper). The silver layer inside the jacket looks pleasing (not sure if it does its heat reflecting magic or not but knowing you look like an undercover burrito police is great! The pockets inside have a weird material that sticks to your hands if you have any dry skin or any other imperfections. It's kinda weird but you will get used to it. Also during snowfall I found a lot of snow inside my pockets so it's probably best to keep them closed. The tiny pocket on a sleeve is cute and jacket also has another pocket inside (at about same level the frontal chest pocket is located) that is huge - I managed to put a Nexus 7 in it and it was fine (as fine as it gets when you need to cary such a heavy thing in the chest pocket. Overall, huge success, would buy it again probably when this one gets old. Excellent Jacked for Reasonable Cost January 28, 2015 I wore this on some very cold days (around 10) and on my first day skiing in many years. I like how it is comfortable and light while keeping me warmer than I'm used to for a jacket this thin. When it is very cold, you will still want some layers underneath. The zippers are well done and don't catch, with several convenient locations. The pocket for the ski googles worked great but is not noticeable when it is not used. It looks good and I like how the cuffs on the wrists have sleeves inside that keep the warmth in without any fuss. Excellent jacket for a reasonable cost. Great outdoors jacket January 3, 2015 Jacket is pretty warm, water proof, and very light and flexible. These are the 3 reasons I bought it. I live in GA where it only gets really cold for a few weeks a year and have mostly worn it in 40+ degree weather so far and have been very pleased with the performance. I imagine if the temperature was in the thirties I'd have to wear an extra themal layer underneath to keep warm, but I'd rather do that than wear a bulky, heavy coat. With that said it makes for a great outdoors jacket or light coat for 35+ degrees, but you might want to go with something heavier if you're in a colder climate. | 72% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 15% Just a little too large, gonna try a medium. August 27, 2017 I put the jacket on and immediately knew that it's warm. It's well constructed (although I haven't subjected it to the trials of the slopes yet), and it seems to run a little large. I'm 6'1-2'' and 180lbs, and although the sleeve length is perfect, it runs a little long and a little loose. I'm going to try a Medium and see if it fits better, since I'm more of a slim basketball build versus a bigger football one, to use a comparison. Smelled like stale laundry June 7, 2017 Didn't realize the jacket I'd receive would be used. Smelled like stale laundry, lots of animal hair, fuzz in the velcro, and a bank statement in one of the pockets. It does fit well, seems like a good jacket, and there are no more available so I'll keep it. Decent price. Great with some quirks. March 27, 2017 at 6'2" 245lbs and a long torso I normally take an XL Tall in just about any other brand (shirts, coats, etc.). XLT for this coat was enormous however, with really long sleeves. The regular XL fit much better, but even so, the sleeves are cut abnormally long. I've gotten used to it and like that they overlap gloves by a fair amount, but it was an odd decision in the tailoring of this coat. Also the snow skirt is a bit high in this coat, and even when not in use, pulls the interior of the coat in right around my stomach (which is reasonably flat). The result is that the coat feels small around the middle even though it's not. All of that aside, I really like the insulation and exterior fabric. With a light fleece on, this coat can handle some very cold weather without a lot of bulk. It would be perfect with a few zip vents, but it's still a great coat at a very reasonably priced. Great stylish jacket March 6, 2017 Great stylish jacket, not as warm as I thought it was going to be but otherwise it's a very good quality coat. Best for spring/fall weather. Bought a medium, my usual size, but seemed ... November 4, 2016 Bought a medium, my usual size, but seemed too big.. Returned and ordered a small. Seems very warm, we'll see how well it insulates in the snow. Shipping was fast. Not bad! February 6, 2015 A bit long in the rear area, if you are expecting a true medium that is. The weight of the material is good but I would wear this for skiing/snowboarding DURING THE DAY. The Omniheat Technology really only works if you are moving and if it is dark outside and you've just stepped out, you will feel the cold bc you haven't warmed up yet. I only wear this jacket if it's 30 degrees or above. Besides that I do layer up. It is well made. | 18% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 2% ... worn extra large for a long time and feel comfortable that I can order that size and not worry ... November 28, 2015 I have worn extra large for a long time and feel comfortable that I can order that size and not worry about fit. This Columbia jacket is very snug across my middle when zipped. They skimped on material. Should be an inch wider. It's a pain to send it back so will have to wear a snug jacket. Jacket was too big. Returned it, but found ... October 30, 2015 Jacket was too big. Returned it, but found the same one at Columbia Outlet in smaller size. My son loves the omni heat jackets | 6% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 3% Large and small January 31, 2015 Will probably have to send back; the sleeves are too long and the width through the hips was too small; couldn't zip the jacket. Clothes quality problems, there is no product labels and price tags January 29, 2015 Clothes left cuff damage, a long knife and India. | 2% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 2% Nice jacket but not warm February 11, 2016 Fit of the jacket is great. Construction is great. Has all the bells and whistles. Nice and long since I'm a tall guy. Fits really snug over the forearms though and I don't have Popeye forearms. It was the same with a different Columbia jacket I tried on too. Why Columbia? I was looking for a jacket to get me through a Pennsylvania winter. Alas this jacket is not it. Got the jacket in February. First time I wore it was about 30 degrees and windy out. I was wearing a heavy long sleeve thermal shirt over a tshirt underneath the jacket. As soon as I walked out the door I could instantly feel the cold on my forearms. Probably because the heat reflective material does not extend down the arms? Boo, hiss. While I was cleaning snow off of the car I could just feel the cold start to penetrate this jacket. Later in the week it was in the twenties and breezy and as I sat in the already warmed up car I could feel the cold from the car seat on my back as I drove. This might be good for a nice sunny 40 degree on the slopes but not a gray cold 20 degree day in February in PA. Alpine Action? Really? Fabric ripped open after 5 weeks March 9, 2015 The outer fabric ripped along the seem after only 5 weeks of use. I just wear it to and from work. No physical activity of any kind. Very disappointing considering the price of the jacket. | 2% There are no reviews yet |
