Five Star Reviews: | 54% There are no reviews yet | 7% I’ve had this washer for 2 years now. I ... November 6, 2017 I’ve had this washer for 2 years now. I have no complaints. When reading the other reviews I think it’s operator error. Great washer May 21, 2017 I've read most of the reviews and think it's user error. Tangled clothes? You do know what a washing machine does right? Mine works great never had an issue. I use the Tide pods in mine and haven't seen any spots. |
Four Star Reviews: | 15% There are no reviews yet | 4% After a month, works great, no issues. April 30, 2017 Just had the washer a month, bought at Home Depot. Works well. no issues. Quiet, and spins the clothes drier than our old agitator unit. Most of our loads are small, just two of us, but we like it so far. |

Two Star Reviews: | 0% There are no reviews yet | 7% Does a fair job of cleaning clothes, but rust is an issue... October 24, 2017 I purchased the Cabrio washer/dryer set in 2012 to handle laundry for a family of four. We probably average 5-7 loads per week. Until now, we have been fairly satisfied with the washer, other than the fact that it's noisy and tends to skitter around under heavy loads. The Cabrio does a good job of cleaning most of our clothes. But within the past 6 months, rust has begun to form around the inside of the top lid, including the compartments for detergent and bleach. I've been through a fair number of washing machines in my 60+ years, but rusting has never been a problem. We use the Affresh tablets that Whirlpool recommends on a monthly basis, and leave the lid open to air out the inside of the machine. I doubt that I would buy another Cabrio unit unless Whirlpool can improve this aspect of this product, including something like a 10-year rust warranty. This thing stinks. April 2, 2016 I have tried and tried to like this machine and wish I had decided that it doesn't work well while I could still return it. Frankly, this washer is so bad, if I had a few thousand bucks laying around I'd just go buy a different washer and take this one to the dump. I have tried changing detergents, using less detergent, using more detergent, using the deep water setting on every load, making the load size smaller (Sidebar -- half the reason I bought this washer was for the capacity!), made sure to use the cleaning cycle, on and on. And still, I often have laundry that is noticeably still dirty. The attached picture is a pair of pants -- that have just come out of the washer for the second time. If I had to do it again, I absolutely WOULD NOT buy this washer. |
One Star Reviews: | 31% There are no reviews yet | 82% Without a doubt the worst purchase I have ever made October 27, 2017 Without a doubt the worst purchase I have ever made. EXTREMELY poor design. Uses VERY little water, clothes do not get clean, leave white streak marks over everything, makes loud straining noises, takes FOREVER to do a small load of clothes. JUNK. RUN. Yesterday I did a small load (7 things) used deep water wash, extra rinse, etc etc. Took an hour and a half and the 2 pair of black pants had white streaks (probably undissolved detergent) all over them and had to be rewashed twice. I'm using the recommended detergent, using the "clean machine" feature and have had it serviced and spoken with customer service twice. They say it's NORMAL. Oh and did I mention that half the time the clothes end up in a wadded wrinkled ball? I can't even believe Whirlpool would stand behind this worthless machine. Go to Amazon and check out the review there as well. Shocking. NCA942F365WS June 6, 2017 Well at least I'm not the only person who wasted a big chunk of cash on this disapointing household essential. RUN AWAY from it! You'll be better off with the $300 Roper! The lid is heavy and doesn't stay up. It is CONSTANTLY dropping on my head when I'm unloading laundry (did I mention the lid is heavy?). It's SO efficient with water that it never comes close to cleaning your clothes... Even if you pre-treat, forget it. That stain isn't coming out. You may as well hand wash. We wanted a big tub for washing bed linens. Forget it. It never balances the load and leaves you with a soggy mess of sheets. Can you rebalance the load by hand and then just put it back on spin??? NO. You cannot. Your only choice is another 20 minute cycle to re-rinse and re-spin... Better hope you moved everything around just right or you're going to have another soggy mess and another 20 minute cycle. Anybody out there like to soak your whites? Well forget that too. No such option with this. I even tried filling the tub with hot water from the sink to soak my whites. Nope... It senses the water and drains it. Even if the washer is off. Don't buy this washer! Terrible February 20, 2017 We have one similar to this. It is terrible. The clothes get tangled, there is not enough water & they do not get clean. I get so disappointed every time I use it.Update: Do not but this washers. Go to their Facebook page. I emailed & called them to not evasion. I just can't believe it. Here's my update. Just got off of the phone with Whirlpool. As a Whirlpool family- this company makes my heart hurt. I never thought I'd be so angry & hurt. They offered platitudes, "laundry tips & for ME to pay for a serviceman to come out & look at my washer. Incredible. Never again Whirlpool. I just wish I could stop others from purchasing these washers. It's such a big purchase for people. And to have it not work. My senior citizen mom literally cries when she uses hers because it doesn't work. She's started washing clothes by hand😔. She's 74 years old!!! WORST APPLIANCE I EVER BOUGHT December 30, 2016 This is probably the WORST appliance I have ever bought.1. The clothes often come out of the cycle with large dry spots. The machine "sprays" water on the clothes - they are not submerged in water. How can it be clean if it never even got wet??? I just washed a load of sheets and even used the "deep water" setting...the sheets still came out with large dry spots where they were unwashed.2. Clothes often emerge with chalky detergent on them where the detergent wasn't fully dissolved...because the machine doesn't use enough water.3. Dark clothes often come out with dark oily spots on them. This drives me crazy. If I wash a navy polo shirt or t-shirt or black cotton pants they will have dark oily spots all over them and need to be rewashed.4. The machine is LOUD.5. Because of all these problems i feel like i always need to try and wash everything with hot water on the "deep water" setting, which takes over an hour for the cycle to finish, and even then there is no guarantee the clothes will be clean.I can't believe this machine is even on the market and hasn't been recalled. It's awful... I wish a had returned it when i had the chance! The only thing this washer is good for is as a doorstop June 26, 2016 The Cabrio has been NOTHING but trouble from the day it was delivered. First, the suspension rods had to be replaced, then it was the motherboard (control panel), then it was the water level sensor, now there's something between the agitator and washtub. Also, somehow, coins are getting under the agitator, into the drain pump and clogging the drain, thereby flooding the room. The only thing this washer is good for is as a doorstop! The only positive thing I can say is that the dryer doesn't suck. Please save your money, as well as your sanity, and don't buy this washer. Cabrio quits before it's 3 years old. May 10, 2016 We purchased our Cabrio model WTW5600XW3 on June 1st, 2013. It worked fine for almost 3 years. Then it started to not spin out. I checked all the suggestions from the troubleshooting guides and found nothing wrong. Sometimes we could get it to finish by restarting it on rinse and spin. But now it won’t start. If we unplug it and restart it, it seems to start then quits. I called Whirlpool and they gave me 3 options. To spend over $300 to have them fix it and get another year warrantee. To have a Sears man come out and fix it where they would supply the parts if I would pay for the service call and labor. The other option was that I could get a discount on another machine. I don’t want to put any more money into this washer and I don’t want another Whirlpool. Don’t buy this Whirlpool washer. They don’t last! |
