Five Star Reviews: | 48% Wonderful for the active gardener! August 8, 2017 I have had several of these collapsible buckets in the past, but this one is the best! About half again as large as all the others I have and a bit heavier. Easy to collapse and store. Made well! July 17, 2017 This looks like it's going to last a lot longer than a different one I bought before. Am going to put it to good use with my leaf vacuum. Good January 18, 2017 Would have preferred a larger capacity garden bucket however, this item is suited to be versatile and efficient as well as storing in tight places Lightweight Bucket December 14, 2016 I purchased the 26 Gallon Spring bucket to work with a shredder. I was surprised to see how large this bucket is and how little space it takes up when it is put away. Since it is so lightweight, filling it to the brim is no problem, since there is no added weight of the container. The material seems heavy duty as well. Fits right under the WG430 mulcher November 2, 2016 Just what I needed - it fits right under the WG430 leaf shredder.I will point out that the material is a poly/pvc coated canvas and not a cotton/duck cloth canvas, so I expect it will deteriorate in the sun due to UV rays. This is such a spacious container for garden leaves and ... August 7, 2016 This is such a spacious container for garden leaves and debris. You don't have to make a trip to the trash can every second. You just fill this up and empty it in your trash can in the end. | 69% Great light weight garden bag June 19, 2017 Built to last more than one season, let's hope it's as heavy duty as it appears. We use our pop up garden bag for plant debris and occasional dirt/rocks which is probably not recommended. Still, for a light weight, easy to stow, big payload garden bag I'll just get another one if/when this one shows signs of distress. Once they start to give up their strength, you can still use these bags for quite a long time - until the metal which holds up the bag is no longer hidden in it's channel. Even then, if you want to use it as an unstructured trash bag, it'll work that way too! Great gardening bag January 29, 2017 This a a really great product, holds a lot of garden debris and is quite sturdy. The only thing I wish was there are only two closures, as you can see in the photos when closed it doesn't completely close down, could use two more closures, but other than that I really like this. Update 8-24-17 now starting to get some small holes in the bottom. Would be nice to have some type of thicker plastic there to prevent this. Still like it though. A Tough, durable, outdoor pop-up barrel thing that I can't live without. September 20, 2016 I love this thing, every once in a while you buy a product that you think to yourself, "Dang, good thing I bought this thing because I it came in handy again, one of the best decisions I made in a long time!" When we moved to our first home in the burbs I knew nothing about lawn maintenance, little did I know that pulling weeds and stuffing them in a garbage bag would be the bane of my very existence and I'm pretty sure one of the layers in hell in Dante's Inferno. Then I saw this pop-up garbage bag, and I've essentially used this thing for everything outdoors....I of course use it for pulling weeds, trimming hedges, etc. I just put a contractor sized black garbage in there and then I don't have to worry about opening up the bag with one-hand and shoving in weeds with the other...(it's the simple things in life, am I right?) Aside from yard work, I've used it as a portable garbage can for outdoor parties a bunch of times, you could even throw some ice in there and use it a cooler if you want to (I personally haven't done that but I don't see why you couldn't). Maybe I'm blowing this whole thing out of proportion but I hate yard work so much and this help helped make it not be horrible so for that, I say thanks Fiskars. Use it for leaves or your regular garbage! May 2, 2016 Although i do believe this would be fantastic for leaves it's even better for use in your kitchen during holiday dinners! I love the fact that it pops up and can easily be stored away. I used this for passover where I cooked for 17 people and instead of constantly changing my normal kitchen garbage during holiday cooking and entertainment (easy 6-8 times), I only had to change this about 3 times. It's also easy to drag around the kitchen if needed. Dragging around my stainless steel garbage can is not easy. The garbage is sturdy and durable! The highlight of my holiday cooking! (It's the little things in life ya know?) Great addition to the lawn care repertoire December 30, 2015 Great addition to the lawn care repertoire. I have a massive oak tree in my backyard that dumps huge leaves every fall. This device has been a timesaver as I deal with these leaves. I bought some larger bags (it's a large 30 gallon bin so some normal yard bags won't fit around the rim) and was able to easily fit them over top the outside. Growing up I always remember helping my mom in the yard by holding the bag for her. With this bag holder I can do it all by myself without the help of anyone else. Keep in my the bags will get heavy with leaves (especially if they're wet) so stop filling it up once it's got to a point where you can't lift it anymore. All in all, it's a worthwhile investment as it saves quite a bit of time. |
Four Star Reviews: | 13% Does what it's supposed to. November 26, 2016 Does what it's supposed to do. Wish it were bigger, but love that it folds away when not in use. Good value. Nice Buy October 6, 2016 This is very well designed item. Light weight, durable and easy to lug around. It makes cleaning up in the yard much more efficient vs having to create big piles anduse e.g. plastic bags to do the job. In this case, fill up the collapsable barrel then cart offthe green waste directly to recycling barrell Handy garbage bag holder May 16, 2016 Works as expected, Have to use a smaller yard bag in it. Folds up easily to store flat. Four Stars January 12, 2016 Hold a lot but rather difficult to handle although it is needed when cleaning up a large area. The landscaping 26-gallon spring bucket is okay, but it ... December 6, 2015 The landscaping 26-gallon spring bucket is okay, but it fills-up too fast, which creates a whole lot of extra work. | 14% completely functional July 30, 2017 Nice product overall. I'm giving it 4 stars only because I wish there were 3 not just 2 button/eye things that keep the bag closed/compressed. The two don't seem enough, and seem too loose, so the bag is at least 3-4 inches in width when it's compressed for storage. I wish it were a tighter close. Still, perfectly usable and the material seems pretty durable. not for 30-gallon bags November 12, 2016 I took away one star because I was disappointed to discover that the the 30-gallon disposable bags that I ordered at the same time are too small to use with this, so I am not sure why this product is titled "30 Gallon". I was hoping to keep this product generally clean so that it will last longer. My solution was to pull out the handle of the disposable bag a little on each side and tie those firmly to the buttons on either side of this. It isn't a perfect solution because the disposable bag sort of floats around inside this product and doesn't catch everything, but I have no other use for the 30-gallon disposable bags and don't want them to go to waste. Someday, I'll buy a larger size of disposable bags. Significantly bigger than 30 gallons! August 2, 2016 So we use these pop-up cans as outdoor trash cans for RV camping. After our last one met an untimely end due to a broken bottle, I began looking for a replacement. This looked great, and said it fit 30 gal trash bags. Perfect!!It arrived, and I have mixed emotions. The vinyl fabric seems sturdy, and the lack of a lid suits us to a tee, we were always trying to tuck the attached lid of the old one out of the way. It looks significantly larger than expected, so I did a test with trash bags.30 gal standard black trash bag was clearly too small. Not even clothespins are going to make that usable. Ok, I've got those Husky contractor bags, those are huge! (I don't have the box to quote exact sizes, but Amazon says 39 gallon). Ok, thus is close enough. I will need to clothespin the bag flap to keep it open, as the bag won't pull down over the edges, but we usually did that anyway to avoid the bags sliding in when something heavy gets tossed. I see there are 42 gal bags, maybe I will try those when I run out of 39, or maybe I find a slightly smaller pop-up can. There's just no way this is 30 gallons. Hmm, my son just finished geometry, maybe he can calculate the volume???? 😁 Fiskars 30 Gallon Gardening Bag September 10, 2014 This pop up 30 Gallon Gardening Bag is great! I line it with a very large lawn and leaf bag and clip the plastic disposable bag on to the Gardening Bag so when I put yard clippings in it it will not slide down. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is because when it has the clippings in it and I am around the pool I have to drag it to the grass area to remove the clear plastic bag from it so I don't get clippings in the pool. From dragging it just 2 or 3 times it has started to wear out the bottom and the metal hoop is coming through. I didn't realize it would be so fragile. I do like the convenience of this bag and I might purchase another one if they have a heavy duty model. Very useful, almost indispensable..... November 7, 2013 I have owned an older Kangaroo container for years and the fabric stood up bravely to every demand in my yard duty checklist. Finally, I had to repair the metal ring that circles the bottom because it was becoming detached from the container. I also decided to purchase a second Fiskars Kangaroo. The new Kangaroo is made from a different fabric. The mesh fabric is coated and very water resistant. Good if you want to keep damp leaves and muddy plants from leaking onto your garage floor. However, after two days of use and my usual dragging and not lifting the full container, the bottom was abraded in several areas. For a taller individual with more upper body strength this would not be an issue. At 5'4' and female, I usually have to toss the filled container in my wheelbarrow to move it. For the shorter distances I must drag the container. The older Fiskars has few places where the fabric bottom has worn through, even after all these years. The older container for some reason also stands more upright, even when filled than the newer product. All-in-all, the Fiskars is well worth the purchase as the alternative is to use my wheelbarrow with leaves and garden cuttings. Not an option I like. |
Three Star Reviews: | 22% It's not perfect, but you can drag it around while collecting January 30, 2017 I attach the WORX 8 foot hose with adapter to the top of the WORX yard bag, pull the drawstring tight, then tip the bag on its side. It's not perfect, but you can drag it around while collecting, if you don't yank too hard, until it gets full/heavy. It would be much nicer if the two had a sturdier connection with a rigid ring on the bag, and a better fitting adapter. The drawstring adapter is too big for the bin, leaves collect in a pouch that forms around it. When the WORX bin is full, I stand it up, pull a 30 gallon trash bag down over it, then flip it over, which is much easier than filling trash bags directly. Not So Great When Coupled With the WORX LeafPro December 19, 2016 The placement of the handles makes it impossible to move around with the WORX LeafPro connected without causing the LeafPro to fall off. I expected the correlated products to have better integration. The materials are rugged and is useful when manually filling the bucket with yard waste October 30, 2015 The materials are rugged and is useful when manually filling the bucket with yard waste. However, when you use this in conjunction with the WORKX universal bagging attachment, it collapses and flops about like a wet noodle. The springs should be a bit stronger to hold it up to the bagging attachment when empty. That being said, it does hold about Workx mulching bags worth of leaves and helped make short work of a couple of monster piles of leaves. We've also found it very useful in getting twigs/small branches into garbage bags. So it does work nicely for the lighter work. I like this and it works as advertised August 16, 2014 Overall, I like this and it works as advertised. It is very well made and clearly is of sturdy construction. However it is much smaller than you would expect when you look at the image. I intended to put a full size trash bag in it, lay it on its side and to rake leaves or acorns into it. The issue for me was that it was so small that you can only use it this way until the bag is about 1/3 to 1/2 full. That's not what I expected. I'm keeping it and will find other uses for it, but if buying this, you should take note of the 26-Gallon size listed in the description. That's about half of a full size trash bag. a bit small March 13, 2014 I have several trees in my yard so I found this to just be too small for my needs and it is so light weight it tips over too easy. I currently use it to go around the yard and pick up small branches and weeds as it's light weight is great for hauling around the yard.To handle the leaves I finally bought a large black trash can with two wheels for outdoor use and found that much easier to use with the Worx WG504 leaf mulcher/blower. | 7% Nice container but better used for something besides weeds or gardening June 17, 2017 This is a really nice collapsible container to put weeds in other things in. However it would be much more convenient if it had even a Lift-Off cover. Because we did some weeding and put a lot of the roots and weeds in there and there's no cover so until we can get rid of it it's it's in this open container. So it will be much nicer if it had some kind of cover. But it does work does do the job but I think they would be just as good and wouldn't have to be cleaned. Copps if it was used for something else the store besides things for outside like gardening and reading it be much "Okay" but not very well made. December 22, 2016 Bottom fabric is thin so don't drag this across the driveway. The bottom on ours is pretty ripped and damaged because I usually drag it about 15-20 feet to the car. What a shame a great product has been re-designed for the worse November 27, 2016 It's a shame that this product has been re-designed for a less solid bag. We have a couple of the older bags which are made of solid material, not just plastic but some sort of canvas. These are a poor imitation. Let's see how long they last but for sure the twigs and short clippings from more solid plants we used to fill them with cannot be trusted to this more flimsy bag. What a shame... Initially excellent: holds a lot June 23, 2016 Initially excellent: holds a lot, collapses well when not needed. Lasted about six months before the dark green cloth covering the metal hoops began degrading. After 1 year of occasional use the metal hoop on the sheath around the top rim had decayed entirely and the metal spiral down the side had come out of the first 2' of its' sheath. Good design, mediocre implementation.I have been zip-tie-ing the metal hoops back onto the body of the bag with good success...perforate the bag twice, zip tie through the bag and around the hoop, and off you go for more leaves. Works! Yet Needs To Be Made Better February 12, 2015 This item was not delivered properly. I'll leave it at that. This item did not last very long. There were holes quickly, and it began to break through because of the wire tension. Ihave not had good luck with the quality of the material that they are made of.They need to be made with a stronger longer lasting material. While I think it is a great product for light duty leaves clean-up; it is not for toughwork that includes larger leaves, branches, debris, etc.,etc. Anything other than regularleaves, it is not tough enough to handle it for a complete season. This is just my opinion. |
Two Star Reviews: | 12% Basket too flimsy...not practical to connect to WorkVac. June 9, 2017 Thought it would be better than it was. It is not stable when the connection to the vacuum is being used. The weight and maneuverability of the 8' hose is too much for this basket. The seal between the two isn't too good either. Difficult putting the hose/top on to the basket. In theory it seemed like a good idea but it is not practical...too much of a hassle to be honest. Not what I expected January 16, 2017 Combersum to use, heavy, not as powerful as my cordless blower. The vacuum head is too small and unless leaves or debris is collected then using it as a viable vaccum for large areas isn't fesible. I'd like to see it be more powerful and have a larger vaccum head to vaccum larger areas. Bag wont stand up, the connection to the leaf ... January 14, 2017 Bag wont stand up, the connection to the leaf connection system comes apart even with low suction power. I will continue trying to make this work and will upgrade my rating if I do but so far its Not good Not worth it. July 28, 2016 too soft and flexible to handle the attachment.. really not worth the purchase, get yourself a sturdy can instead. It is a little hard to use but it works ... December 23, 2014 It is a little hard to use but it works enough to pick up some yard debris. Not very stable | 5% Broke in less than 1 year October 1, 2017 I've been using this to pick up leaves and I'm very disappointed in the quality. The bag has several holes in it and the wire rim at the bottom is about to completely fall off, which will make the bag unusable. For $25 I was expecting something longer lasting. Expected better from Fiskars - fell apart in less than one season September 4, 2017 The bottom seam wore out in less than a single gardening season and the wire frame is poking out. The seam is made from cotton tape, which seems to have quickly rotted from getting damp during use in the garden (but stored in dry garage). Don't you think the manufacturer would have imagined the garden might be damp and perhaps used a better solution? I expected better from Fiskars. I'd purchase canvas over this plastic one, after 5 years of experience with a Gardman ! August 22, 2016 It's great as it hangs and is lightweight, I used a canvas one by Gardman for 5 years until it finally wore out from carrying too many wet leaves & sticks. This one tore at the bottom the very first day I used it, all I did was drag it across my driveway. I'm going to attempt to repair with duct tape and super glue and guess I'll never drag it around again. I'd purchase a canvas one, more money but worth it. Disappointed as I was ready for a brand new bag ( not to be confused with James Brown's "Papa's gotta a brown new Bag"..... Not what I was expecting January 27, 2016 The Product looked great when we bought it but almost right away we started having issues. The seams just don't hold up. The material is great but the metal wire that gives it the pop up feature rubbed its way through the fabric. The dark green fabric on the bottom of the bag frayed and tore. Also the side seam blew out. I was hoping for a heavier duty bag to be used for more than just leaves. Our last generic gardening bag we used for 13 years before it finally died. I was hoping that this being a fiskars brand it would hold up to the same abuse our other bag endured. From gardening, to moving/packing, even laundry, and kids. Poor quality December 19, 2015 Great concept but poor quality. The wire coil popped out of the bottom after a year of normal use. See photo. Not worth the money! July 21, 2015 I had great expectations for this product and I feel let down by it! The spring isn't stiff enough to keep it upright when loading with anything other than leaves. If start putting grass cuttings, weed, or sticks in it the spring starts to collapse under the weight. The bottom stitching has given out and now there's hole in the bottom. I had another one of these from five years ago and it was awesome, unfortunately when I moved the bag didn't make the move! |
One Star Reviews: | 5% This is a flimsy piece of junk. Had to ... October 25, 2016 This is a flimsy piece of junk. Had to go buy a real trash can because this did not do the job. One Star November 18, 2014 this item is not strong...it collapsed when I put on a thin plastic liner... Too small November 10, 2013 It's much too small to be of any use for leaves its much too small for any thing.its much too small for any cleanup. Terrible December 14, 2012 The actual blower/vacuum works great. But the hose and barrel set up is a disaster. The tube does not sit on the top strait, and the barrel collapses and leaf chunks fall out. Lightweight November 26, 2012 Product is usually advertised as if it goes with the Leaf Collection System, but it is falsely advertised this way. It NEVER stays upright and you're always having to pick it up. Shipping it back was going to be $14+ (almost the cost of the item itself) so now it's in my garage hanging on a wall. | 5% For decoration only-not meant to be used for gardening July 10, 2017 Used it a couple of times, plenty of holes on the bottom, very flimsy fabric. Chose it based on the reviews and yes, it does look like other gardening baskets. But it's a waste of money. Bottom is thin and tears easily January 6, 2017 This seemed to be a very handy items for leaves and misc lawn debris. However, after only two uses the bottom started to tear out (see photos). Fortunately Amazon will take it back. I think this item would work OK if kept entirely on a lawn or other soft surface. If you intend to use it on your patio or walkways I would think twice, because of the very thin fragile bottom. Although we were initially happy to relieve this gardening bag and very pleased with ... August 31, 2016 Although we were initially happy to relieve this gardening bag and very pleased with how strong and durable the materiel is, we've only had it for two months now and yesterday I noticed that at the bottom of the bag, the wire has come out of the fabric. I'm not sure what to do because it's beyond the return date now. We have been using it for pretty light gardening work, so we can't see why this should be happening. It's very frustrating to purchase what you believe is a very good product, only to discover that the quality does not meet your expectations. Not a sturdy August 9, 2016 I bought this one and was a little surprise that it will not stand up and keep tipping over, so I went i bought a more expensive one and was still disappointing that will also not stand up.. The hard bottom was a great idea since were always dragging it and they wear out. But if it dont stand up when your trying to put leaves in it become a bit frustrating.. So I am returning both of them and hope i can find the one that will stand up and not tip to the side. I have a old Ryobi I found at a store that the bottom is beginning to wear out but as you can see it never tip. I did like the type of hook they use to collapse the bucket for storage and also the nice hard bottom Expensive for Poor Quality August 6, 2016 Within a month (!!!) of normal usage (weekly gardening) the thick wire frame had torn through the base of the bag. It is now in the garbage.Poor quality - naively, I believed it better to pay more for the Fiskars brand name and an assured quality product.Buy the cheap ones at least when they break, you won't feel ripped-off. Landscapers - Don't Waste Your Money! August 11, 2015 I bought (3) Fiskar 30 Gal Kangaroo Gardening bags - three weeks ago. One arrived damaged with a slice in the vinyl. One was put in my office last week with wholes in the bottom, wire hanging out so it could no longer stand upright. Today the third one is laying before me in the same condition. They are made of an extremely thin vinyl. When I first opened the package, I knew right off this was not durable. I am a Landscaper and use them everyday to hold plant material, pruned or weeded from flower andornamental shrub beds. I do not abuse them. Only put spent plant material in them. Wholes worn out the bottom week #1, Wires started coming out of the bottom week #2, Week #3 they were unusable.Lifetime guarantee.... would not have the time to keep up with the paperwork. |
