April 10, 2017
For the price - I mean you really can't go wrong giving this a whirl. I've bought three of these over the last couple of years - two for us, one for a gift and they work great - almost as great as our Leaf that we have for our main living room TV - and for a serious fraction of the price. We are located between Madison and Milwaukee, WI and manage to pick up both markets with this little antenna. I can't say how well this would work in a rural area far from major cities, but for us - it's perfect. The suction cup attachment thing is total garbage, but we just use those 3M Strips.
Works better than expected

I just got this and set it up in the back upstairs room of our townhouse. The set up scan found 51 channels. However I would guess that half come in clear enough to set as favorites. I had a nice spot on a shelf to lay the Homeworx model down flat on. The spot is straight up from where it connects to the TV set with the 4 foot length of cable it comes with.( Tip wait a second to see if the channel will come in when checking them all. I had to got through a second time to set favorites not knowing there was a slight delay)I just ordered a second one for my own room. My room differs from the room I set the first one up in that it has a lot of electronic devices used for cord cutting. I still want to have this as a fallback and also help toward any data cap as the first Homeworx model will provide. I will try to update this review to see if the second one has the same type of performance.Update: Just set up 2nd one 61 channels scanned maybe 1/2 come in well. Although this room has many electronics in it the TV set is also near a window. Was lucky to also have a nice spot wedged in the drape cover and ceiling to lay/wedge the Homeworx model down flat in similar fashion as the other room.2nd tip: There is a website called tvfool.com that will show TV Signal Analysis Results from the TV stations to your address you put in. My results had a lot of stations around 20 miles away and it seems that most if not all tvfool is showing are coming in. ( product claims 25 Miles Range )2nd Update to 2nd update: Had an extra length of cable maybe 4 ft. long bought couplers and extended the antenna for better placement hanging off the top of the window. The scan went to 63 channels however the main station that was already failing to come in was missed in the scan. But just about every other channel now comes in much clearer.
Very pleased we chose the Mediasonic Homeworx HW110AN Indoor HD antenna - works beautifully
June 26, 2015
I bought this item it was not given to me by anyone at a discount for my review as is the usual case.We decided to make the break from cable and satellite TV because it had become much, much too expensive. I didn't have a lot of money to spend on an HD antenna and HD converter box. After reading several reviews on Amazon for the Mediasonic Homeworx HW110AN Super Thin Indoor HD antenna I decided to go with it. Amazon offers a 100% money back guarantee and it cost less than $6 (at the time I purchased it) why not.?It works -- but -- after reading a review on another site -- I also had to purchase the Mediasonic HW180STB HomeWorx HDTV Digital Converter Box with Media Player and Recording PVR Function, Dolby Digital, HDMI Out (New Version) which was under $35.The two items together, totaling less than $40 work perfectly to bring in our local channels, which is exactly what they are supposed to do. You have to find just the right spot in your house in order to pick up the best reception and the most channels and this may take some experimenting. Many reviews say to get the Mediasonic Homeworx antenna as high up as you can. Others say get it near a couple of windows. Others say both.It comes with a suction cup and other equipment to mount it on the wall. However, we found the oddest place in the world to put our Mediasonic antenna. It is (no, I'm not kidding) scotch taped to a broom leaning in the doorway of our bedroom between two windows at a height of about 3 to 4 feet. But, it works! Perfectly. We not only get our local channels, we get about a dozen or so more. Oh, as far as the scotch taping, the black pole part, not the blue antenna part. For an investment of less than $40 I am saving about $70 a month. Our cable provider's least expensive service for JUST local channels was about $70 a month. We get more channels with the combination of the Mediasonic HW110AN antenna and the Mediasonic HW180STB converter box. The antenna comes with all you need to get started. You might find you'll need to buy a longer cord, but for us it was just perfect.Oh, and the picture comes in crystal clear. MUCH better than it ever did with cable or satellite TV
Great for urban use where local digital signals are dificult to get stable due to bounce with other antenna's
April 23, 2015
Finally an digital TV antenna that works great in the city. I have tried many, including clones of thus type. Our problem is we get a lot of signal bounce - we live in a city with towers and canyons around us and lots of crossed signals. One antenna is very close and overpowers other signals. For some reason, we have had the greatest success with this affordable flat unit. Out TV is on a swing arm mounted to the wall. The package includes a 3 piece suction stand mount to allow you to attach to the antenna almost anywhere. We attached the sticky round cusion to the rear panel of the TV and then applied the suction base to that and the results are a solid adhesion. By mounting it this way we can easily orient it to the optimum position for the channel selected. Now we can see each channel quite clearly, certainly the all the local digital broadcasters were now detected and CLEAR, however even some remote analog channels were discovered by our TV auto tune feature. Well done Mediasonic
Impressed totally !!! Money saver !!!
February 19, 2015
I did not buy this from Amazon , but from a different site for $5 shipped. I'm impressed. I just pasted it behind the TV with a bit of clear tape. Not even near the window.I am getting major channels including ABC , WCCO , KARE11 FOX 9 and many more. All crystal clear in HD. It was able to tune upto 30 channels. I live in Minneapolis, MN about 10 miles from downtown where major transmissions happen. Can't believe I was paying $10 each month to comcast for basic TV with lesser channels.Attaching Pictures
Buy with confidence, it WORKS!
February 13, 2015
Wow! Thin, small and EASY to install. Bonus, IT WORKS GREAT! Btw, if you have an older flat screen tv, you may get lots of hesitation, people buy the "on sale, cant believe its that cheap tv" look at the processor before you buy a tv, get at least a 120mgz tv, the processor cant handle the digital signal found in a lot of 60mhz tvs.

Great little antenna
April 3, 2017
I ordered this antenna on a friend's recommendation. I was skeptical, but figured for the price it was worth a shot. We have pulled the plug on expensive satellite tv and have been pulling in free channels off an old set of rabbit ears we had in the garage. They worked, but didn't do much for the decor. This little antenna worked straight out of the box! The cord is short, not much to work with if you have to move the antenna closer to the window. However, once I got it up in the window (I had to use duck tape, the suction on the bottom of the stand doesn't really stick, not the prettiest option, but the blinds will cover it. I scanned for channels and picked up about 6 more channnels than we were getting. We live in a mountainous area, about 25 to 30 miles from a tv station. And the channels come in HD crystal clear. Definitely worth the price. I will probably buy another one.
Works Great!
November 14, 2016
It works great for me, and you can't beat the price. I live on the 4th floor of an apartment building just outside of a major city, so I am within 15-20 miles of all the broadcast towers and have a pretty clear line of sight. I am able to receive 46 channels. The chord it comes with is only about 3 feet long, so I had to buy an extension coaxial cable to get the antenna near a window, because only about 20 channels were coming in from the original position I had. All the channels come in great HD quality, better quality than I was getting from basic cable before I cut the chord.I have a few minor complaints that keep me from giving this 5 stars:1. As I already mentioned, the short cable that it comes standard with makes it a good chance that you will have to buy an extender to get your antenna in it's ideal place.2. The antenna falls from it's place in my window a lot because the suction cup is pretty weak.3. The color makes this kind of an eye sore, but you can see that before you buy it.

July 16, 2015
Well, if you're like me the switch from analog to digital was just kind of a pain. Now, instead of static and a noisy signal, if the reception is bad it can make a performance show like "So you think you can dance" unwatchable. We had a $30 "amplified" antennae we got from target when we bought our television and I've always thought it was a horrible piece of junk, but I'm also cheap and poor, so I figured I'd give this a shot. Honestly, I was really hoping I'd get the CW - or any new channels (the CW broadcasts from the same studio as Fox here, I used to work for the news team there, but for some reason we only get Fox). I did NOT get the CW. So I guess I'll still be watching iZombie on Hulu. Reception is still not perfect - but I would say it's not half as bad as it used to be.If you don't have a digital antennae, I would start with this, since it's so cheap, provided that you live close into a town that broadcasts its own television (not some small town in the middle of nowhere, there's not going to work). It was a major improvement compared to the rabbit-ears amplified garbage we used to have.
Actually does pick up a lot of stations.
July 16, 2015
Bought this for our bedroom tv since I was buying a larger one for the den tv.. This one actually does do a good job.. Just set your channel choice to air and tell it to scan (as long as it's a newer tv with hdmi built in)..We live in a rural area with 4 broadcast stations 30-54 miles away.. This little antenna picked up all 4 stations and 16 channels.. A lot of them are repeats, but I was suprised it brought in anything, as our bedroom is on the front of the house and the stations are pointing in the opposite direction. The only problem we had is that we kept getting blurbs in the programming and because the cord to this one is pretty short (about 5 ft) there wasn't really the ability to move it around much.. We ended up hooking up a larger indoor antenna with a longer cord so we could move it around, which did the trick. We still get little blurps now and again but not as many as we did with the small antenna.. However, for being such a little guy, it really is impressive.. I didn't really believe it'd be able to pick up much of anything. For the price, it can't be beat. A longer cord would be ideal.
Works well, but had trouble getting CBS/NBC. Went to my homemade one.
April 26, 2015
Update May 9 2015 - I was able to get CBS and NBC back. I moved it around by the window until they came back. I found that I had to tape it tight to the window and also taped down the thick black part which attaches to the antenna. I then noticed I was not getting PBS very well. It would come in but would freeze etc. So, I pulled it off the window and tried my home made aluminum foil fractal antenna. Surprisingly, it worked well. It even worked while it was draped over my couch by the window. However, then it would go in and out with CBS and NBC. I taped it to the window and it would work but then not work for PBS. Really cannot explain it. Elusive at times.Anyways, I finally tried my other homemade highly simple binder clip antenna. This is not the one you see on YouTube that uses a CD case and binder clips. So I attached that and voila I got CBS, NBC and PBS. It was a little tempermental with PBS but CBS and NBC are great. I kept adjusting my homemade antenna and tada I have them all.Update May 7 2015 - the antenna fell off the window. I lost cbs and nbc. I did some research on this and seems like cbs esp is elusive. I tried to get them back but so far unsuccessful. The antenna picks up other channels well even when it was laying almost on the floor. Who knows. Anyways still a good buy.Original post: I got up to 66 channels. I have to say I got 68 with a homemade foil fractal antenna but the mediasonic allowed me to get CBS which seemed elusive. It is all about positioning though. I was able to get all the main channels I wanted making some other homemade antennas which was interesting but I spent hours experimenting. I enjoy that kinda stuff but of you want a low cost antenna just get this. You may need an extension coax cable and connection adapter though. It was critical for me to position it in a window facing Chicago. I live about 20 miles from chi town. I moved the antenna around so when I did a channel search I ended up with 50 or so found channels. Good enough. Key is I got the ones I wanted. The picture is HD too. The stand it comes with is not very useful. I taped mine to the window. I used a splitter and have it going to two different TVs. My advice is you can build your own antenna that may be just as good but for 7 dollars you get a solution that for me is just as effective. I did enjoy learning to build an antenna and seeing how many channels I could get though. I am considering buying another one and connecting it to my old cable wires which now run to my TVs and using it as an outdoor antenna covering it with a ziplock or something. Hope this helps.
Great option for the price!

This indoor HDTV antenna works great with my plasma TV in my living room. I wanted to cut the cable cord but I didn't want to go without my weekly shows. I use HULU and netflix for most of my TV viewing. This simple little antenna provided me with my local digital OTA channels along with several I didn't even know were available to me. The picture is crystal clear and there are very few interruptions or issues with the antenna.Pros:I got more channelsChannels come in HD and VERY clear.Very few/no interruptions, or issues with the clarity of the signal.at $8 on Amazon it is cheaper than I could find anywhere else, and allowed me my local channels in excellent quality.Cons:It doesn't give me the full range of channels that I could get if I were to have used a more powerful antenna but it definitely expanded my horizons. The chord is pretty short. I tried to run the antenna to a close window and it was too short to get very far from the tv.The stand they give you isn't very sturdy so I advise sticking it to a surface like your TV stand. Don't trust that it is going to stand on its own.Overall: don't go expecting a million channels. I checked with the FCC site to see what channels to expect and this antenna picked up all the ones it said would be in range. I live in Cincinnati which is decently sized so I have all the main local channels along with a few movie channels, several different PBS stations etc. Some of the faraway channels do come in for me sometimes but I don't depend on those and I learned that pretty quickly. The antenna makes for decent television options when I am not using HULU or Netflix. It lets my wife watch her daytime TV, and I can follow some of my favorite prime time network shows as well. I say you can't go wrong spending the money on this unless you know you need a more powerful antenna.P.S. bought this with Amazon Prime and it came in a little over 24 hours. I am not sure if that was because I bought it while they were in full swing for the holidays but I was pleasantly surprised that it came so fast.

Works, not for some channels.
September 9, 2017
I wanted an antenna for my bedroom tv since it's not hooked up to cable and I wanted to be able to watch local channels. It works ok. It doesn't pick up every local channel and sometimes it gets staticky. It might be because I live in an apartment and there are a lot of trees in my neighborhood. For the price I paid, it's not too bad. But eventually, I'll probably get another one that works better.
The definition of okay.
July 25, 2017
Don't let the three stars fool you into thinking it's a bad product. I don't hate it, it's just super flimsy. I knew what I was getting for the price and I'm okay with that. It does a pretty decent job picking up signals in a major city. I use it with a spare cheap 32 inch LCD TV. Buy this if you really don't care about construction quality, but just want to pick up some OTA channels for a price that can't be beat.
You get what you pay for.
March 16, 2017
The product does work. I picked up around 7 channels once installed in a window which is a far cry from all of the reviews I saw saying that there were so many channels. The problem started when I noticed it kept falling down from the window. At first I thought it was just the stickiness went away but that indeed was not the case the window gets warm and the base had started to melt. I decided to take my storm window off to keep it from getting so hot and put it in the window sill instead of on the window itself thinking it wouldn't matter. Then about a week or so later, I notice my channels not coming in again. What happened this time was much worse the antenna itself had started to warp in almost a curved pattern. I was able to bend it and get it to work again for around 4 or 5 more days and then the antenna had warped again. So I guess my biggest thing is you get what you pay for. I did not pay much for this antenna and I did not get much from it. It did work for awhile but did not pick up the amount of channels that it acted like it would. If you want a good antenna you have to pay more than 8 dollars!
About what I expected.
November 29, 2016
I wanted to buy the cheapest antenna just to test the idea out. In its defense, I have it in a less than ideal location in an upstairs bedroom. Rotate my house 180° and it might be perfect. I have moved it around to different locations and on a perfectly CLEAR day, it works great. Yesterday it registered 30 channels, though I did not get all of them(?). It gave me what I was after. Fast forward to the next morning and a typically strong local channel was pixelating. Oddly enough, the other 2 local channels that gave me the most grief were coming in better than the other one. I immediately knew the weather had turned and indeed it was now a windy, rainy morning. Part of my research showed that the one typically stronger channel is on the UHF band. The other 2 weaker ones are VHF (Ultra-V to be precise). So depending on what you are trying to pick up, this might make a difference for you. Perhaps an amplifier would help but apparently there are downsides to those. I am now considering an attic mount antenna (outside would be perfect but I'm not going there) though not having a window pointing in the direction of the antenna towers @10 miles away, it might not work so well. If YOU have a clear shot and window you can put the antenna in, it will likely work fine for you though all bets are off on how weather would affect it. I'm not moving my TV to test it!

August 17, 2015
I purchased two of these based on the many positive reviews. I live in a fairly large city and assume the TV station towers are within a 20 mile range. The first one captured all the stations, but took some time to find just the right placement of the antenna. The click mount was useless. The suction wouldn't hold for long and the antenna would slip out of the clip with the slightest movement; thus losing the signal for some stations. I had to use something else to hold the antenna. The second one had more trouble, but think it's because the TV is in a room where the signal must be obstructed from the number of walls surrounding it. I ended up having to purchase a 40 mile range antenna in order for that TV to capture all the stations. I'm going to give the second one to a family member. Hopefully it works for them. It's a great size, but needs a better mount.
Great value for the price!!
April 26, 2013
We're transitioning away from cable (we use Netflix, Amazon Prime, Vudu, etc... for all streaming content) so we wanted to find a solution that would provide us local channels. I stumbled across this little bad boy and decided to give it a shot (for the cost, I went ahead an purchased 4). Shipping was SUPER FAST!!! I ordered on a Saturday and had them on Monday. One drawback - the built in cable is too short. It really doesn't allow you much leeway to work with placement. I had to couple it to a longer cord. I found the higher up I could get the antenna, the less problems I had. You have to play with the placement of the antenna to get the best reception and channels. Right out of the box the antenna found 73 local HD channels (granted, most of the channels we ones that I'd never watch - EVER). The main local channels (NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, KDAF, CW etc.) came in loud and in super HD. Sometimes the picture will pixilate, but it's not terrible.I attempted to set up a second TV and had much more difficulty in finding a placement that would allow for good reception. Still working on that.

Maybe if you live in the heart of the city, but not if you live in suburbia.....
December 31, 2016
I was pleased with Amazon's fast shipping. I was NOT thrilled with this product. I gave it 2 stars because it was easy to install. The suction cup wouldn't stick to anything and kept coming off and sending my dogs through the roof. Maybe there isn't a thing wrong with it. Maybe it's because of where I live.... but I got ONE channel. ONE and it was the local Christian channel. It didn't matter where I put the antenna. It didn't matter what I did, I got ONE CHANNEL.
2 Star for Product

- Suction cup is flimsy and doesn't stick well. Falls off right away. These days can upgrade to a suction cup type. This is too cheap.- Wire is not really long enough to go anywhere far unless you move the TV too.- Signal strength is not great - there's probably a lot of factors to this. I live on a hill and i don't get strong att signals on my cell phone. I'm sure it has something to do with my area too. It does give me a few basic channels so it does what it's supposed to.- I had to tape this on top of my TV- The hindges are weak and keeps falling apart. - another cheap feature.- Overall a really cheap product- Paid 6.27 for it. Thats not bad.
Minuscule improvement over our 15+ year old bunny ears.
April 8, 2016
I figured for $7ish this couldn't hurt to try.We have been using some 15+ year old bunny ears with our new hdtv, and it works well except for when the weather is windy/stormy, when it cuts out. What I like:-modern looking-We picked up 3 new channels from the next state over. What I don't like:-It keeps falling off the wall even with the multi-surface sticky pad.-hard to adjust without the antennae and cord popping out of the holder.-Windy weather makes it cut out just like our 15+ year old bunny ears.Bottom line:It's just barely an improvement over the old antennae. We do pick up the 3 new channels but they are really just copies of the channels we have that are local to the next town. I thought that because it was a new antennae, it would work better than our "vintage" (ha) antennae, but it doesn't really!
Mediasonic or 1byone OUS00-0565 or Mohu Leaf?
December 23, 2015
This antenna really is a piece of junk. So I'm one of those value shoppers that can't resist a good deal. Imagine my surprise when I found this antenna for under $10.Finally after cancelling cable and subscribing to netflix, I did what everyone else did. Buy an antenna to make up for the lost local channels. My surprise quickly turned into a disappointment when we were able to get only 2 channels clearly. Maybe a few others with really bad signal. Now I bought this item on February 4, 2014 so why the heck am I writing a review now? Simple. Just by chance, I happen to see another deal on an antenna on some deals site regarding 1byone OUS00-0565 Shiny Antenna 25 Miles Super Thin HDTV Antenna with 16.5ft High Performance Coaxial Cable (which is also sold on Amazon).Keep in mind, I already knew about the mohu leaf antennas. I also know that the mohu leaf is about $40. Quite pricey to get local channels. The 1byone OUS00-0565 Shiny Antenna 25 Miles Super Thin HDTV Antenna with 16.5ft High Performance Coaxial Cable is $12.99. I was very hesitant to buy it because the Mediasonic Homeworx HW110AN Super Thin Indoor HDTV Antenna - 25 Miles Range was a piece of real junk and was not much cheaper.Installation was easy. I placed the antenna on the same spot on the window as my previous antennas and just like that. Magic! All the local channels in the Houston area! Please let this be a lesson to you and don't buy the cheapest antenna you can find. You'll just end up wasting money. There are many other reviews about this product itself, but my review really is to warn people to spend the extra couple of dollars and buy the 1byone OUS00-0565 Shiny Antenna 25 Miles Super Thin HDTV Antenna with 16.5ft High Performance Coaxial Cable or one of the Mohu Leaf antennas.

Purchased for use in a rv with a 12v TV to replace old set of basic rabbit earsunfortunately it picks up less channels than the rabbit ears but did pick up a analog channel I didnt get beforeWhen I tried this I was about 3 miles from the tv stations in a city of 80,000I also tried in different areas of the rv including on the roof and tried it when I took my rv to get fuel and to the RV shop each time searching the channels but couldn't get the channels I had with the old set up.for me..It works but not very wellI wouldn't buy again or recommend this product

September 29, 2015
Not impressed with this product. After days of trying to find a decent signal to obtain all 35 channels I should be getting in my area I was only able to find seven. Out of these seven, four of them are spanish channels and I have never heard of the other three. I bought this so that I could have the local network channels, (ie NBC, ABC, FOX) and I have not had any success locating the signals without having to resort to extreme measures like holding the device outside. The description of this product made this process seem a little easier than it turned out to be and had I of known this I would've purchased a more trustworthy product. I even had to purchase a separate coaxial cable to extend the range which would not have been a problem had I'd known beforehand. There are some trees around my complex, but I didn't think it would be a huge factor especially considerring I live in Tampa, Florida where all local channel towers here are located. I guess I was expecting a little too much due to that amount of positive reviews. At the end of the day I feel that the process could have been less stressful with a more reliable product.

but I don't like the appearance of those antennas
December 12, 2016
I bought this antenna because I decided to get rid of cable and I still wanted access to local channels. I have the traditional "bunny ear" antennas, but I don't like the appearance of those antennas, and I especially don't like adjusting them for reception.I live in a major metropolitan city, but I am very close to a mountain. The bunny ear antennas only give me a few channels and I was hoping this Mediasonic Super Thin antenna would work better than what I already had. I read some of the reviews before I bought it and based on those reviews and the price, I bought the Mediasonic Super Thin antenna.I have placed this cheap antenna on several different televisions in my house and it gives poor reception on every television. It is very flimsy too. I ended up buying a Flat Amplified Antenna which works wonderfully.
Eh.... it was cheap.
July 8, 2016
Says 25 mile range but I can't get some channels with towers right in my city. Very picky about where it needs to go in my room for certain channels. The suction cup doesn't stay so I end up using painters tape to hold it to the wall. For $6 it's hard to be too mad but I suggest putting that money towards a slightly better antenna.

February 16, 2016
The one star is for the product, not the vendor. The vendor was great. Answered questions very quickly and sent the antannae just as fast. Now for the product: I live fifteen miles from Pittsburgh, which is less than the minimum specifications necessary for it to work, or at least that is what thd vendor says. I realize there are extranneous factors involved, suck as weather, distance from the origin of the signal, etc. But as for the aforementioned settings, they are not an issue. The product should work, but it doesn't. I would return it but it isn't that much money so I don't feel like going through the hassel to send it back. I'll just chalk it up to a lesson learned - I should have bought a more expensive antannae with more range, from the very beginning.
Almost as good as rabbit ears...

I had been using an old set of rabbit ears (do they still make those?). Anyhow, I saw this at a good price and thought it was worth a try. Turns out the old rabbit ears done just as well, if not better.
Made For A Great Giant Beverage Coaster
December 27, 2014
Didn't really expect much for the price and I guess I couldn't be that disappointed because I really didn't get much out of it. In the room I purchased it for it only received 2 PBS channels without any signal issues and after using an amplifier I was able to get 2 other channels sporadically. In a room with an apparently better area for reception I was able to get the same PBS channels and 3 other channels at a slightly better signal, but not well enough to prevent the urge to rapidily punch myself in the face after 5-10 minutes of watching something and adjusting it over and over again to tune in just in time to realize that I'm not watching the same program anymore. Literally replaced it with a set of rabbit ears from a garage sale for much less and much greater success. The included suction cup can be stuck to your forehead for entertainment while you're struggling to find a good signal, though, which is at least worth 1 star.
Did not work

Maybe it is just my area, but I was not able to clearly get a signal. From time to time I could get one station, but it would start to pixelate after a few minutes. If I were to purchase another antenna it would be an amplified antenna with power.
