Great!

This thing is awesome. We were quite impressed with the quality of photos printed wirelessly from my phone. I printed a whole bunch right away and put them in a photo album. If you're looking for professional-quality, this probably isn't for you. But it's awesome for home use for photo albums or whatever. I love it!
I LOVE THIS PRINTER
January 26, 2016
I LOVE THIS PRINTER. The one nice thing about having the old disposable cameras was the it forced you to get them developed. Since the iPhone, I have literally thousands of photos just lying around in my computer or phone memory. I don't know about you, but I would always be too lazy to go down to a Walgreen's/Walmart/Costco or whatever to get them printed. The Canon Selphy saves me this trouble and I can do it all from the comfort of my home. Thankfully the refills also average out to what they charge you per photo almost anywhere else.
Really Loved it!
August 4, 2015
I really loved it! The quality depends on whether your printing from a picture you took with your phone or a picture with a regular camera... I print taking pictures with my canon rebel and the pictures are amazing! When i print with my phone from pictures i took with it, the pictures are still good but obviously less quality! But there still good! Really loved it and will be using it alot for scrapbooking. :)
Perfect little snapshot printer.
July 29, 2015
The Canon SELPHY CP910 is a great little printer and perfect for quickly printing 4x6" "snapshot" photos. The prints come out completely dry and smudge-proof in seconds by using a four-color (including "clear") lamination roller. Most printers require minutes for the dye or pigment ink to dry and set, but not this little guy.The printer was a great hit with my grandson, as well as at a family reunion where people were directly spooling photos from their Android phones directly to the printer via its standalone Wi-Fi network (it also supports Wi-Fi access points). The Windows drivers were also trouble-free, as long as the PC can find the printer on the LAN.
For a first timer, VERY IMPRESSED
May 4, 2015
I researched products in this field for many many moons before I ultimately purchased this printer. I will say I'm very satisfied. The only *very small* ding I can give them is the picture quality isn't the crystal clear and sharp that you would get from going and having your pictures printed out at a store BUT keep in mind, you are using an app, connected to a printer, using Wi-FI that being said, the pictures come out very nicely, very quickly and very good quality. I had no problems putting the paper cartridge in, or the ink cartridge. They're both very obvious, as to which is the correct and incorrect ways for those items to be put in. I had a slight bit of confusion using the actual 'keyboard' in the menu to install our Wi-FI password, but figured that out in a very short amount of time. (It's not a touch screen, you just have to use the directional arrows) I fiddled around with all sorts of pictures in my gallery. A full color shot, a black and white photo, as well as a photo that I have used and manipulated with fun things in a photo editor program. (I've attached pictures of these as well). I am very satisfied. I was able to print out 5 with the 5 ink cartridge, and am about 1/2 way through the 36 cartridge now. Once the ink cartridge is empty, you simply get an error message that you have to replace the ink and then it resumes with the pictures in queue. The fact that there was no need to have to re do and re select the pictures I had already chosen was great. Very helpful! I still have yet to play around with the camera to printer features, or with smaller paper, but right of the box to a brand new photo app/printer/phone user, I have to say I am very impressed.

Perfect little printer to document kids - they grow up too fast!
September 22, 2016
I decided to take the plunge and get one of these so I can print photos of my son every few days instead of every few weeks, which was what I'd been doing at the local pharmacy. Before I remember to get more photos sent out to print, he's a whole new kid! I purchased one of the "package defective" units from Amazon Warehouse Deals, and I cannot be happier. Hooked the printer up to my Macbook Air via USB cable (from storage in my basement - not included with package), and I was up and running within minutes. Yes, the ink cart and photo sheets that come with the printer runs out VERY quickly, and they definitely don't let you use the ink until the last drop... but who wants to find out that you're running out of ink by wasting sheets of paper? I have noticed that the ink clogs up if you let the unit sit idle for a few weeks, which isn't a problem for me because I'm printing almost every other day. Also currently using the generic ink carts found on Amazon, and the Kirkland Signature photo paper from Costco (300 sheets per pack, $14), so far so good. I have noticed that photos, especially higher resolution ones, load very slowly via SD card in the reader - I wonder if that's rectified by using a higher speed SD card? Not really applicable to me since I plan on using this printer mostly via USB.
Paid for itself first day out!
April 21, 2016
I purchased this for a cotillion I was shooting at, and it was such a pleasure to use. It is not lightening fast but with the quality you get its amazing. It is fast just not as fast as some out there. Also it prints much faster when printing from a computer. I shot tethered to my MacBook Pro and had an assistant print from Lightroom with no issues.
Handy, versatile and quality 4 X 6 printer.
March 14, 2016
I've had this printer since July of 2010. Beautiful, sharp and well-saturated prints. I am a Mac user and this printer is 100% compatible with Macs, contrary to what other reviewers have said here. NOTE: Use only Epson ink. I tried others and it took 3 - 5 cleanings to clear clogged heads. No problems with Epson ink- besides, colors are more accurate and vivid with the genuine ink. I would recommend printing somethings on it at least once every 3 - 4 weeks. As with any printer, extended non-activity will allow ink in the printer head feed to dry and clog. The 150 sheets of photo paper that come with it is a bit of an overkill. I get about 75 prints from each ink cartridge. Almost 6 years old and prints as beautifully as the day I bought it.. And I'm a picky guy :)
Quality is great and I think better than the color laser printer ...
February 24, 2016
Don't be deceived by it's small size. I've used it for the past two years at my church's photo booth. I've churned out at least 200 pictures. Quality is great and I think better than the color laser printer I used originally. Speed was also negligible because of the manual feed I had to do with my color laser printer. So it's a nice little package for a dedicated photo printer. I don't like how you need to buy a kit that includes both the ink cartridge and the photo paper. The ink always runs out before you run out of paper.
AMAZING QUALITY in a small portable form factor!
August 19, 2015
Do not underestimate this machine, it's amazing. I thought the price tag was mainly for the convenience and portability but I was wrong. I bought two printers: The PictureMate Charm and a Canon MG5620. The Canon is an actual full size all-in-one photo printer. I hooked both up the computer, picked out a family photo, and printed a 4x6 on each. I assumed that the Canon would turn out better, or at least be the same... I was so surprised at the results. The PictureMate Charm was a LOT better than the Canon. The details are sharper, the contrast are better, and the overall lighting is more accurate. The Canon was still amazing and will still pass as being good enough for good quality. But with the picture next to the Charm the Canon lost it's shine. I put the pictures side by side in the light and asked my cousin and sister to compare the two, they both chose the PictureMate Charm photo (without knowing which is which). The one downside with the Charm is the inability to print anything larger than 4x6. If you only want 4x6, want good quality and portability then this is for you. I've tried different quality paper as well and it works with the Charm. It does not have to be their own paper.
Love it but ink runs out FAST!
November 30, 2012
I bought this to do some light scrapbooking and printing. I live in Los Angeles so convenience is EVERYTHING. After printing the first 15 pictures, my machine just told me that I am low on ink and should replace the cartridge. Seems like this is going to be a pricey little en devour but so worth it for my light usage. Quality is ridiculously amazing! The pictures look even better from the ones that come from the photo lab. Very impressive. However, you can't plug your iphone into it with the USB because it wont recognize the pictures. And you can't have the pictures on a flash drive because it will not recognize the pictures. So the only way I found it recognizes images to print is if it is on your SD card. You can just use your SD card to transfer pics from your phone then to you computer then to you SD card and then to the printer. It's not as annoying as it sounds I just wish I could pop my phone into it. Also, if the photo is too big for its printing ability, it will not adjust the size to fit the frame, it just grabs the middle. It will not let you move up or down or left or right to adjust where you want it to print to fit the frame. Again, I just got used to it. I hope this little thing works in the long run!update after a few years: It's been a couple years or more since I used this. It just stopped printing good photos. The images were green and just not okay by any means. HOWEVER, I got it back to working like new! Here are some suggestions:1. Replace the toner. ONLY use the brand name toner, don't get the after market cartridges. You'll have a TON of paper left over after each toner you go through, so just beware I think that's normal from what reviews I've read.2. Go through all the print settings and "clean" it up. I had to press "clean" about 20-25 times before I restored it. So don't give up!!3. Store this in a room temp area. It messes these machines up if they get too hot or cold. For instance don't leave this in the garageHope these tips help! I still love the convenience of having this little machine. Pretty awesome! Worth it!

Slower than the prior version 800
July 27, 2016
I have this and the prior model 800. Got this as I heard it was faster - WRONG. I was running both printers side by side at an event and the 800 was much faster. Both were direct connected and printing the same image.Quality is great like the 800, just much slower. Uses same supplies which is why I got it.
I really really like this little printer
February 1, 2016
I really really like this little printer! On the spot printing is so fun for parties and get-togethers! Anyone can print from their phones inside our house using our WiFi. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is the print coloring....not exactly like the photo but still pretty good pics.
I love this! It is small
August 12, 2015
I love this! It is small, and works great (I use my Ipad with the Canon easy-print application).Things you should know: It comes with ink and paper for 5 prints only. Each ink cartridge you buy will only produce 36 photos, and you should print them all at once, because if you turn your printer off then on again, it cycles through one of the ink sections (unless you pull it out and rewind it after it turns on)This is much like a polaroid, and the pictures are not going to look as good as they do on your ipad or from a legit photo printer / business. This is fine for me, because I just wanted to create a photo album with individual photos that I have stored elsewhere.I have thoughts to use this at my wedding as a type of photo booth for guests, so they can take one of their favorite photos with them as they leave, however, the printing process does take some time as it does color layer by layer, and depending on how many pictures you may want to print, you may be buying a lot of ink and paper for it, however, it's cheaper than renting a photo booth for a day!
Impressed me!

Handy printer with excellent photo quality
April 21, 2016
I love this little printer! I am a scrapbooker and love the ease of home printing. I think the quality is very close if not better than printing at Costco. Only negative thing so far is I was disappointed after I replaced the first ink cartridge there were some green lines on my photos. I cleaned the printer heads and after printing about 10 photos the line dissapered.
Good but also problems with this new printer
August 23, 2015
This printer does print very nice prints. I bought this printer to print pictures of cars as they enter our annual car show. We print them and give the print to our entrants (172 cars this year). This printer was bought to replace an older Epson to be used as a 'back up' for the new Epson printer. All was good for about 60 prints then wet green ink was showing on the back of the prints and the green lawn background was a lot lighter. I cleaned the print nozzel and patterns were still perfect. Thinking it was the ink cartridge I used another new one. It was ok for about 3 or 4 prints and then did the same thing with the new cartridge. My next step was to take the 1st cartridge and use it in the old printer to finish up the 1st photo card prints. All prints were perfect with no green ink. This process let the new printer cool down for about 1/2 hour. When I started up again the same thing happened after a few prints so finished up the printing with the old Epson printer.I don't know if this particular printer was bad or if it is just the printer itself. I hope not because it does make good prints pretty quickly and our entrants love having a photo of their car with them driving it. Also, our trophies for the winners of the various 'classes' are made for them to insert their picture on the trophy.I do have another long time issue with Epson; you can't buy just the print cartridge without the photo paper (500 sheets). One cartridge DOES NOT print 500 prints or even a number close to that. This is such a waste of $$ and you end up with a lot of photo paper.
Beautiful Pictures but...
June 14, 2014
This is the second Picturemate I've purchased and only did so because the memory card I used wasn't compatible with the older version. I have the Samsung Galaxy Smart Camera which uses a micro mini sd card. Reading all of the documentation before purchasing I felt confident that this printer would be compatible with a micro mini sd card using the adapter. Needless to say this was not the case. When I inserted the memory card it took about 15 minutes to load and when it did a message said no photos found. Calling tech support the rep finally said the printer could only be used with a 4G or less micro mini sd card. My card was 64g. I went to several stores to purchase a 4g sd card and all were sold out. At this point I was ready to box this printer up and send back but decided to try a 32g sd card. What did I have to lose?. Low and behold, it worked! I will keep this printer and use the 32g card when I want to print photos. Epson needs to give more information in the documentation and train tech rep to give accurate info.

January 16, 2014
The first photos I printed were very RED! After spending more than an hour trying to figure out what was wrong, I called tech support and had to wait about 20-30 minutes for someone to come on the line. When he did, I had a VERY hard time understanding him. Then after about 30 minutes of cleaning the nozzle heads 3 times, I attempted to print a photo only to be told that I was out of ink! This was a brand new printer!! I had to wait until the next day to go to Staples to buy an ink cartridge. After I put the new cartridge in, it printed beautiful photos. So in the end, I am very pleased with the purchase. However, I was not very happy spending several hours in the beginning and then having to purchase a new cartridge before I could print something out!
Works with Windows 8
January 15, 2014
I was a little nervous to order this product because all the reviews said it wouldn't work with Windows 8. HOWEVER, you can go to the Epson website and type PictureMate Charm 225 into the search box and from there you can find the page that has the driver download for Windows 8. It took less than 5 minutes to download and print my first picture from my computer! The picture quality is far superior to the quality of the HP all-in-one printer we have. I got this primarily to use for scrapbooking purposes, but I can see us using this to print all sorts of photos that would have otherwise remained on our hard drive. We also live 60 miles from the closest photo lab, so this will be a great convenience and cost savings for us. Glad I went ahead and ordered!!
Great printer but irritated that can't buy just the ink cartridges
December 3, 2011
Really like this printer. Replaced an older picture mate with this one and all the new bells and whistles are quite good. Easy to set up, looks great, and very good print quality. Also like the portability. The only thing that is quite irritating is that there is no way to buy Epson ink cartridges for it without buying the paper. I have tons of paper from my previous picturemate and have also purchased the 4x6" paper separately. I really just need some print cartridges and may have to try some aftermarket 'compatible' ones, although the reviews of those are mixed. Anyway, it is stupid to buy paper when I don't need it and I just can't understand why Epson won't sell the print cartridges. If it is still this way when I replace this printer, I probably will shop around for a different model.

Awesome starter kit. But the pictures doesn't have the best quality. I have not figured out how to sharpen the image. It doesn't have sizing options, or cropping features

small package, seems to do pretty well so far. big test coming next month. bought it for one reason, Christmas pictures. big event. may be printing 200-400 pictures in just a few hours. if it works, i got my moneys worth, if not, i will be updating my review. first ink cartridge did not make it through all the prints that came with it. other reviews stated the same. hope it makes it through the 150 pack ink/paper cartridge that i purchased. well, the first paper/cartridge that came with it went fast. the next 2 of 150 sheets did not print all prints. one only printed about 129 the other about 135. ran out of ink on both. print pack comes with 150 sheets, but not enough ink to print them. all of these were at a Christmas function, pictures of kids with Santa! what did print, looked good! will use the printer more, just want more ink!

Could have been So Good,,, Customer Service SUCKS!!!!
November 21, 2014
The Good...Service was great, the packaging was intact, and shipping was fast. The printer can print from SD card well however you cannot control the image size so using the computer is necessary to print high quality photos so they can be resized. The print quality was nice for photo booths and mobile functions. The printer is very small, light and easy to set-up independent of a computer. This printer would be a great asset for my business, but then there's...The BAD!!!!The device does not have its serial number! It is not on the device or the box. I contacted the seller, still no response 3 days later. The printer is not being recognized by my computer and drivers can't be updated because device information can not be detected. I also tried registering the product online and the device is not recognized by Canon's online registration. This is very disheartening because I'm not sure if this product is legal. I requested a return, full refund including shipping the seller never contacted me.

... used this model printer for many years and really like its quality
April 29, 2017
I have used this model printer for many years and really like its quality. My printer was getting to the point that couldn't produce perfect picture anymore. Apparently the was discontinued, so I search and bought this used one. But the prints coming out from it have "lines" on them even after cleaning the heads many times. I guess used one is used one. But I'd not put it one sale if I know it's not that good anymore.
Great for 4x6 prints, but don't let it sit for too long.
October 11, 2015
So far so good! It has nothing on my Canon Pro 100, but it differently does a great job for fast 4x6 prints.Changing my 5-star review. I found out the hard way that if it sits for a couple of months it needs to have the print heads cleaned... I am on my 12th cleaning cycle and the yellow and blue are still having issues. I ran about 300 photos through this for Christmas and if this is all I get for the price it is NOT worth it.
I used this printer for 7 months and now is broken!
January 28, 2014
That was a very good printer and I hope can stay longer that way. You should say that you can only print 1000 pictures on it and then buy a new one. I'm so disappointed.
Typical use yields 50 prints out of pack of 150
June 18, 2013
Elegant design and easy installation. Unfortunately ink is not sold separately, and a print package with 150 sheets will only yield 50 before the ink cartridge is completed.I have gone through three print packages and here is my typical experience:Plug in new cartridge. Need 4 cleanings to get satisfactory print quality. Print about 50 pictures out of a pack of 150. Go three weeks without printing. Then need 4 cleanings to get print heads working again. Get 10 more prints before the printer halts all printing. There are no print quality settings to try to stretch the cartridge, either.I understand Epson will refund you $0.35 per unused page that you return (provided you have the sales receipt, which is fortunately quite doable with an Amazon purchase).http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/PictureMate/pmguarantee.jspThis is helpful, although selling solo print cartridges would be more helpful, and selling cartridges that accommodate the necessary cleaning cycles (or designing the device so that repeated cleaning cycles are not needed) would be best.I'm disappointed with my overall experience with this printer and will probably sell it in the next month and go back to sending out for prints.
Great!... At first.
June 6, 2013
This printer was awesome when i first purchased it. But as time went on i realized it was not such a great deal.i read another review here that echoed my sentiments. The first print pack i purchased the ink lasted as long as the paper. After that, the ink runs out long before the paper.and of coarse Epsom won't sell the ink separately.no,no, that would be too consumer friendly. You almost have to run the printer daily to make sure the jets don't clog and heads don't get dirty.you end up using half of each cartridge just to clean the print heads. So, in closing : " let the buyer beware".
not cost effective
February 15, 2013
The printer works great, beautiful pictures, but very disappointed in the cost of printing the pictures, I can go to any picture kiosk and get my pictures for a tenth of the cost of printing them at home.

Not for use with I-phones
January 29, 2014
Do not be misled by the box description which states that this product is compatible with "all mobile devices." It does not work with an iPhone. I called the customer "technical" support number and was connected with an agent in the Phillippines who had to look up this information before he confirmed what I already knew. You would think that they would know immediately whether their product was compatible with the most popular phone on the planet, however, I received zero help from this company and was put on indefinite hold. I called back and got the same response, which was no response, no explanation, no remedy and no apology. Do not buy Epsom products.
Will return this
February 16, 2013
Bought this the other day. Tried printing a few pictures and discovered that it won't take cards bigger than 4 Gig. Don't have anything that small anymore. All of mine are 16 gig or bigger. Also no way to brighten or darken an image other than a few crude presets. Don't want to plug it into the computer.Since I wrote the review have tried using a 16Gig and a 32Gig SDHD cards. They both worked fine. So some cards may be fine, others not. Epson tech support told me that nothing over 4 Gig would work. Guess that don't know what they're talking about.
