Getting a great product for a good price you can't go wrong.

This is now my fourth Cheetah product. And just like the other three you will get more then you pay for when you buy cheetah products. Very well made and some parts better then you expect. You also will not be hunting for parts that were not included because they give you more then just about anyone else i have ordered from.Everything from nuts, tools, screws and even extra parts the that should have come with the device you bought like the mounting screws for a mount that was not included with the projector but cheetah did include 2 two size models. Also they included A cleaning microfiber cloth and A mini led button cell flashlight and the extra long HDMI cable that no one else I have yet tried bothered giving. You should have no problem with this unit and it will fit just about any projector configuration. This is my opinion and I have not been paid. I did not get a discount and no I Don't work for them I just have to make sure I give credit when it's do.
Nice universal projector mount, sturdy and easy to install - Absolutely fantastic customer service - Acer H5380BD Projector
December 3, 2015
I purchased this mount for my Acer H5380BD Projector. I am very happy with it. The mount initially is set up to be attached to the projector at 4 locations, but my projector had 3, so I took off 2 of the arms and there was an open screw between them to make 3 evenly spaced arms. My projector's intended mounting holes were too close together, so I ended up removing the little adjustable legs and using those holes instead. There is a little piece of plastic that looks like a contact lens that goes in the ball joint - it's important to put it in there so the projector stays locked in one place. I ended up just using the mounting plate and not the included extension arms, but it's nice to have that as an option.

As for SPN Performance's customer service, they are amazing! My initial order was missing the hardware - so all the little screws and washers. I sent them an email and the next day got a call from a very nice representative (Emily) saying that they were sending me an entire replacement unit, free of charge, and shipping it 2nd day. In addition to that, they told me I could keep the one I got for replacement parts!! It is so nice to work with a company that puts customer satisfaction first and foremost. So since I had extra parts, I tried mounting my projector both with and without the extension arm which can be seen in the pictures - it was nice to be able to try both ways.

The included HDMI cable is nice and long and is a nice bonus as well. Highly recommended product at a great price.
Great buy! works great for Epson 2030
January 21, 2015
I have Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 2030 and the Cheetah mounts worked well had all the parts I needed and the 12ft cable and the velcro wire ties were a welcome bonus. The mount is well made, heavy duty enough and versatile. Is also came with all the parts and screws I need for my projector and with more parts than shown in the picture to fit different size of projectors. I picked this mount because of the ball joint makes it easier to move the projector angle. The Mounting points on the Epson projector are off center and only 3 points, I was worried that the mount would not fit but after I took a look at the extra parts I was able to figure out how to setup the mount easily. So far it is working great for the 7lbs Epson 2030 Projector.
Great purchase
December 19, 2014
This mount did everything i needed it to. It had two different sized arm pieces. The arms are fully adjustable in both length and angle. The mount came with 4 bolts with concrete anchors and 3 different screw sizes to fit multiple projector sizes ( i was able to test with an Optoma HD65 and my recently purchased Optoma W311). For the W311, it took about 5 minutes to get the mount attached to my projector, which includes switching out the arms for the shorter ones and positioning the main connection point to where i wanted it for my setup. Photos show package contents, projector with mount alone and final setup.

If you are looking for a fully adjustable projector mount, i would highly recommend this one.
Very beefy mount for the price

****Updated****

I just wanted to post an update over two years later I received a package on my door step. Turns out they read my review and sent me out a new mount they said was redesigned from my 2 year old one. I initially had some issues and had to modify the mount. This new mount while I haven't installed it yet looks great. More importantly for a company to reach out and 2 day ship a brand new mount is going way above and beyond.

Awsome company highly recommend buying from them.

****old review****

I installed the mount onto my HD20 and while "universal" I had to get creative to attach it to the mount. (i ended up have to flip the mounting tabs upside down to get it to work). It's very sturdy and I can't imagine a projector it couldn't support.

The negatives are the height adjustment is limited, and fine tuning the aim of the projector is not as fine as i'd hope.

I will rate it on feel and how easy it was to put together
July 9, 2016
Unfortunately I am not fully able to review this product because it doesn't fit my projector. In no way was it the fault of the sell I just did not read fully. I will rate it on feel and how easy it was to put together. I did take a star because the instructions were hard for me to read (very small writing on diagrams) bit with some common sense I was able to assemble it with out mounting the projector. I received this product at a discount for my unbiased review.

For the price I even made it work on a 3 hole projector and is super.
Pretty good for the price, but with some drawbacks.
January 3, 2016
pretty good ceiling mount. In the end, does just what it is supposed to do (suspend a projector at a given orientation from the ceiling). Worked well for my situation. Liked that I could adjust the distance from the ceiling. A few things keep this from being 5 stars. (1) difficult to adjust left-right projection angle after mounted. Even if mount is at perfect angle to screen, the orientation of the 3 mounting screws on the projector may not allow for an exact 90-degree angle. (2) the provided ceiling mounting hardware is a bit tricky to use. In the end I did use it on 2 holes, but the others I mounted to the stud with wood screws. (3) the directions were poor. I'm pretty handy and was able to figure it out as its pretty intuitive, but some simple directions would have been nice.

Hi Everyone... Can anyone help me with the part where the mount is actually attached to the ceiling... I am confused as to how to install that in the ceiling. What type of bolts are those?
GREAT CEILING MOUNT

The only con with this product was the toggles for the ceiling mount, they are horrible, your better off getting some real toggles from the hardware store, other than that, this thing is unbeatable for the price

Difficult to adjust, but customer service is amazing
February 22, 2017
I have an Optoma 142X, and because its mounting holes are very close together, it was difficult to adjust the arms of this mount to fit - I had to take off all the extensions, substitute the smaller ones, turn one backwards, and try several different arm orientations before I found one that fits.As others have mentioned, it's difficult to adjust the ball joint of this mount precisely using the two screw knobs. And unfortunately the outer extension pole doesn't attach tightly to the inner pole, so even if you do get the ball joint to be tight and properly adjusted, the projector can still wobble because of these loose extension poles.Several people and the instructions mention a clear plastic disc spacer to go in the ball joint. Because I read this in the reviews prior to buying this, I was very careful to look for it when I opened the package. But it was nowhere to be found! On the positive side, the mount is very solidly constructed with an attractive finish. And even better, the customer service from this company is amazing -- I was contacted immediately after writing to them, and they helped through the issues I had.On the whole, it's a very good value for the money.
Don't waste your time - UPDATE - please read
November 27, 2016
12/10/16: UPDATE - I too was contacted by SPN customer service in response to the negative review I published. I was told there was a new version of this mount and that there was a known issue with the current design when using heavier projectors. Jaden in customer service went above and beyond what I was expecting by sending me the updated version at no additional cost and then calling me back to confirm that I had received it and that it was working. I can tell you that the "ball and socket" on the revised version are much larger and hold the projector much more securely. Mount works great now. If you are ordering this, make sure you are getting the new version. Hats off to Cheetah customer service. I ordered this mount for my Epson Home Cinema 3100. I decided to try the Cheetah mount based on the number of reviews on Amazon. It mounted up just fine and the materials feel very heavy duty. Unfortunately, these are about the only positive things I can say about this mount. This has to be the most difficult mount to adjust that I have ever used. There is tremendous wobble in the extension tubes even after tightening to the point that the tubes feel like they are going to bend. Adjusting the horizontal, pitch and yaw positions are extremely difficult given the two thumb screws and the ball design. The projector moves after you tighten the screws. I am unable to fine tune this mount to get a level projected image. I hear mention of a new and much improved design yet I can't imagine the mount I received as being this "improved" version. I am very disappointed with this mount so far and will be replacing it with a more expensive unit.
What I like: - Ceiling plate mount design- easy to install ...
August 15, 2016
Latest Update Jan-18-2017I am updating the rating to 4 star to appreciate the effort vendor made to satisfy their customer. They were following up each stages upto installation to make sure the new redesigned unit fits and works well.Latest update - Jan-3-2017Cheetah Mount sent a replaced unit. the new unit per cheetah, is modified design to hold the projector better. Ball joint design looked similar. But better than previous one. It holds the unit better.I must accept the fact that the vendor was keen on fixing the issue and followed up with the replacement unit.Just bought this one. Summary.-Easy assemblyAdjustment and holding tight:- Not good at adjustment and holding projector. Had adjust alignment every other day. Ball joint does not allow to adjust and hold tight.- 360 works, left /right tilt does not work. up/down, below average. unable to adjust or hold.- Go with something that is flexible with adjustment and holding the placement /angle of projector. What I like:- Ceiling plate mount design- easy to install- Easy assembly- not many parts to identify and find a way to fit.- not many screws to adjust the projector position. What I don't like:- Little heavier.- Joining part - Ball portion to the projector. It is unsafe while you adjust. carelessness may lead to crashing the projector in the floor. couple of time it detached while attaching.- Adjustment- It appears it has all the options, 360, up, down, left and right. But adjust the projector into the center of the screen is a challenge despite lens like cover included in the ball joining.- unsure if this was a defective piece.- connecting string- no use of connecting projector to that string if the ball joints pulls out completely while adjusting. It has to be connected in the top , above the ball joint somewhere to hold projector to avoid accidents.Problems- - Gravity pulls the weight and the ball joints moves a bit after tightening. - turn knobs- clockwise knob push the projector down, anti clockwise knob moves the projector up - once adjusted it hold the position but slight changes after a while, unsure why.-
Steady Mount for the price.
June 14, 2016
I gave this 4 stars because after I reconfigured it about 5 times, I finally centered the mount in the middle of my projector. Don't expect it to hold position with the wing screws if you aren't centered on the projector. They just can't hold the lopsided weight. So it works once centered and holds position very well. My gripe was the extension length wasn't nearly as adjustable as I had hoped. I ended up just using the plate and mount, ditching the extension posts. The HDMI that came with it was decent, nothing really special here.Update: I can't say enough about SPN performance! They were super eager to assist in my issues and help out. You don't find customer service like that these days. Will certainly use them for my future mounting needs!
Decent, but ball & joint isn't great.
January 7, 2016
This is a pretty good mount. I set it up with an Epson 2045 and while it initially appeared to bias extremely forward due to some weird mounting hole placement on the Epson, I was able to spend a bit of time and get it set up to hold right above the center of gravity, which is basically right on top of the rear mounting hole. It tooks some monkeying but if you swap to the smaller extension arm it is doable. The ceiling mount attached nicely, although I swapped out the provided screws for a set of drywall mounts. The problem I have with this unit is the way that the two pieces connect. It uses a ball & joint connection, and while it is quite versatile it can be pretty difficult to adjust precisely, and you have to re-adjust it every time you take the unit down. For that reason I'm taking off a star, since it's not a problem in the day-to-day use, but is obnoxious when changing a bulb or cleaning filters, or anything else that requires taking the projector down. I would also not suggest this mount to someone mounting it underneath where people walk. While I don't have upstairs neighbors, it is prone to vibrations that are quite annoying while I'm running the dryer. The included HDMI cable is good quality, and a nice length. It was a little short for my setup but I made it work.

November 18, 2015
Overall its a nice mount, and fit my new BenQ HT3050 with no issues. Once I had it mounted to the ceiling is where I see this mount fails :( Even with the little rubber piece the directions say to use, I was not ever able to get my projector where I wanted it without it still moving. I thought I had it just right and everything tightened and taped out the screen size on my wall. Projector mount was holding, so I painted the wall where the screen was going to go, and the next day the projector moved a little. I have tried to get the projector to line back-up, but its a loss cause. Returning product and going with a different style mount. Looks like I might have to do some touchup painting as well :(Customer service has contacted me and were very helpful. They feel I had a defective product and we wanting to replace. Since I already returned the mount they offered one of their other products to me at no cost. Giving them another star as customer service has been top notch.

Eh, not bad
July 22, 2016
It's not the greatest. I still have mind in a box as it doesn't fit my projector, but that was my fault when I ordered it. I'll keep it as a backup one day for a cheaper unit. It's clunky but low cost.
very bad instructions on how to assemble this thing

very bad instructions on how to assemble this thing. Very little wording and had to rely on pictures that didn't really make it easy at all to assemble. Good quality but a complete pain in the butt right out of the box
Not good, not bad.

This mount is OK for the money. I had to make the holes slightly bigger so that the screws would go in. I also bought toggle nuts to use instead of the hardware it came with, which I didn't trust at all. It also took some time to get the legs to attached to my BenQ W1070, but I was able to get it to work, and after I bought more washers because the screws provided were slightly too long, it worked great. It seems sturdy for now, but only time will tell if it stays in position.

To mount, or not to mount. That is the question.
August 2, 2017
I decided to mount my Optoma UHD60 to the ceiling. (Pro-Tip, this mount isn't compatible with the Optomoa UHD60 4K Projector). While the instructions were easy to read and follow, the construction of the device is solid, it's a great machined black and there aren't any sharp corners.Pro:BlackSturdyStrongMounting hardware included.High quality 15 foot HDMI cable.Cons:15 foot HDMI cable can't handle 4K/60 HDR feeds. It flickered and cut the signal in and out. I presume a 1080p signal wouldn't max it out.Mount holes stop at M5, my projector was an M6. Had to run to a hardware store and grab M6 bolts and bore out the holes a tad on the hardware.Telescoping poles are bolted in instead of spring action.Overall, this is a great mount. I was able to quickly set it up and mount the projector above my bed to project on a 92" screen in my small bedroom. It gives the illusion of a movie theater. I do experience some over-time sag as others have reported, but I think I might replace some of those washers with gripped washers instead. What more could you ask for, for the price. My project was 4 hole mount, but this easily is able to change size and shapes of almost any mounting capability.
Excellent build, bit difficult to install.
November 28, 2016
I recently purchased this mount and installed it for my Benq HT1075.Overall, I think it's a decent mount, but my main gripe comes with the tightening of the ball joint. More on that later. As far as pros go, the mount is made out of very sturdy material. The lag bolts includes did the trick in securing it to the 2x4 it was mounted on. I only used 2 lag bolts with some extra screws. With some ingenuity this should be a great budget mount for anyone. When installing the mount, I thought it was a bit odd the mount went from a 7" bracket-base distance to the extensions' (which have to be used together) total distance of ~17" at a minimum. No biggie, I have a saw, so I cut it down to what I needed and moved on with my day.Next, my mount package only came with 5 bolts to attach the pole pieces together. This left a considerable amount of wiggle where the two extension poles are connected. Thinking back, I doubt another bolt would have solved my problem considering the bolts aren't tight in the holes and there isn't any tightening between the two poles. Also, not a biggie, but I have some shims and putting those in made the pole solid as a rock.Onto my main issue, the ball joint. In order to tighten this thing, you have to loosen the bolts above the joint, and then adjust it by grabbing the plate to do the final touches of positioning the projector image. You can't move the projector, because the brackets that attach to the plate will flex when moving and tightening the bolts. The plate is the most solid part, so that's what you'll have to use to adjust. Then, while holding the plate and making sure its where you want your projector, you have to tighten each side at the same time. If you don't, you'll risk the projector moving while tightening and holding. Its definitely a two person job. Also, those bolts don't seem to hold the projector very well. A little bump and you're off once again. Something that was a little stronger for tightening that final bit would have been awesome. But after that long rant. I think this is a decent product for the price. It is made of out strong material, but the installation process requires a bit of ingenuity.
Garbage ball head
July 19, 2016
I'm conflicted with my rating, if I could give 3.5 stars I would. The mount and tubes are made really well and it was very easy to put together. The ONLY thing I have to complain about is the ball head. Two set screws make it almost impossible to adjust and tighten with one person. If you tighten the screws too much, the metal stud gets indented and you need to turn the shaft the set screws are in or it'll never stay put. The set screws could actually work if the socket was a bit thinner and could make a decent connection to the ball. Of course thinner metal has its own problems... Using both rubber disks make the pad too thick and I feel like the mount is less secure this way. I think it's a good product, but I would have happily paid $20 more dollars to have less frustration. It would be 5 stars if it had the right head. The Supplied HDMI cable is awesome!
I will be returning this mount as I do not feel comfortable that it will win the battle against gravity holding ...
April 26, 2016
Update: 5/5/16 - I was contacted by Jaden from SPN Performance. He instructed that in order to "lock" the projector I would need to twist each of the 2 screws 1/4 of the way at a time until tightened. Unfortunately, I hurt my back so getting up on a ladder and holding onto a 30lbs projector at this time is not a good idea. Jaden though was awesome and showed me what I can do to get this fixed and also refunded my money for the trouble. This company has great customer service and I wish nothing but the best for them. I've already ordered another mount and I am currently waiting on that to come in to try and do this all over again.Original Review: I installed this on my Epson 5030UB. After setting this up and realizing that my projector's life is hanging on by 2 screws attached to a ball joint I am now fairly worried. After tightening the two screws to the ball joint, my projector is still not in any type of "locked" position. The projector has a mechanism that opens and closes the lens screen. This fairly small movement, causes the entire projector to move out of position. How is this possible that I cannot lock my projector in place. I will be returning this mount as I do not feel comfortable that it will win the battle against gravity holding my projector in the air above a glass table and not being able to lock the projector in place.

October 25, 2015
I give this mount 3 stars because it's functional and that's about the only positive thing I have to say. I have several issues with it though... The telescoping tubing has so much slop between the inner diameter of one pipe and the outer diameter of the smaller pipe, that I had to shim it with electrical tape to prevent it from having up to 1/4" of movement/slop. Also, the way you adjust the aim point is very difficult because the ball joint is very sloppy and will creep after you've tightened everything down...causing you to have to aim your projector past where you want it and hope that you've guesstimated the right amount of creep for when you let it go. This product has the fit and finish of something I would kludge together in my garage with some spare metal tubing, a hacksaw, and whatever bolts I have laying around.I don't have any experience with a alternative product, but I would suggest spending an extra $50 to avoid the headache caused by this minimal quality product. YMMV.************ UPDATE **************I'm updating my review after being contacted by the manufacturer. They contacted me in response to the above review in order to get feedback to improve their future product. They were very professional on the phone and mentioned that their next model will address most of my issues. On top of that, they gave me a full refund on my purchase. While my comments on the current product are unchanged, I would consider the newer model if one ever comes out.
Mount up
March 7, 2014
I have to give this mount only 2 stars.I will start with the good:1. Cable run for wires through the tube2. Nice finish3. Very configurableNow to the negatives:1. The room for the wires between the mounting bolts and the inside of the tube is pretty small. Do not expect to run many or any larger wires as you have to have room for the bolts to go through the middle of the tube.2. One of the corners on the ceiling mounting base was bent. I can deal with this as I was able to work it back flat with out cracking the finish.3. Mounting lengths not flexible enough on the lower sizes. While this may not be an issue if you have 10 foot ceilings, with the 8 foot ceiling you either have to choose between right up next to the ceiling or roughly 18" down. This puts the projector right about where the top of my head is. I am really not considering this as a full negative as it only really applies to those with 8' ceilings or that have a ceiling fan in the middle of their room which keeps them from hanging it close to the ceiling.4. While trying to tighten up the bracket as a whole (where the pole goes into the ceiling bracket) I noticed that the width of the base plate arms and the tube are enough different that when you put in the "upper bolt" it loosens the lower bolt. The bracket ends up coming toward the tube at an angle. Even with what I felt was excessive tightening, the tube is still loose in the bracket.5. THIS IS THE BIG ONE... If you look at the picture of the item, you will notice the bracket that attaches to the projector. The issue I am having is that the connection between that middle plate and the ball joint that allows for swivel is a pressure joint. There are a couple of problems with this design. The one I have is loose. This was making it near impossible to get the projector to stay aimed. Every little vibration in the ceiling (front door closing, Sub woofer pounding) caused the projector to move slightly. I was able to take the plate apart and pound on that pressure fitting a bit to get it tighter but it is not solid still. The only fix I can see (other than replacing it) would be to take it apart, drill out the pressure fitting and tap the hole to put a machine screw in. The second issue with this is that I can see with the extra movement it could eventually loosen up over time to the point where it would allow the projector to drop. So do not mount a heavier projector to this mount.6. The screws for tightening up the ball joint tend to grab on to the joint and twist it while tightening up. I had to place the projector in an un-aimed position and tighten it up. Then, if it over shot the final spot (or under-shot) I would have to start over. It took quite a while to get the projector aimed just right. Finally, I would like to address another review on here. The other reviewer warns away from this mount for Acer projectors. This is due to the small spacing between the mounting holes on the projector. In case you do not heed the rest of this review and go ahead and purchase this mount, I will attempt to explain how to get the mount to work. They provide an extra set of legs for the part where you mount the projector. If you take those and replace the longer ones and turn them backward so that they point in toward the middle, this will space them just right for the screw holes on the Acer.Good luck with this mount, you may need it.*EDIT*I was recently contacted by a representative of the company. I was impressed by their professionalism and prompt response to my feedback. Since the contact from the company does not fix the issues with the mount, but they are working on redesigning the product, I will bump this up by one star.

Although the steel is heavy and the design is mostly good, there are two big problems
February 17, 2017
Here's whats wrong: Although the steel is heavy and the design is mostly good, there are two big problems: (1) The ball and socket arrangement is very hard to adjust, although you would think it would be good. A much better design would be to limit the motion to horizontal and vertical only, as with the design of some other mounts, so you could do vertical tilting, followed by horizontal adjustment, or vice-versa . Any small tilting of the image on the screen could then be corrected with shims on the base of the mounting plate. The problem is exacerbated if the projector is heavy and particularly if the mounting screw socket positions do not allow the projector to be suspended at the exact center of its mass. This is true of my Optoma 142X, for example. Even with its meager 5 lb weight the projector wants to tip badly at an angle. I solved this problem by attaching a turnbuckle from the rear of the projector to the ceiling mounting plate of the ceiling mount, but it took a lot of time to do this. (2) Another reviewer mentioned the connection of the metal ball post to the projector mounting plate. This is simply a force fit, not involving bolts. There was play in my connection, so the projector could wobble. I did several hours of modification, using lathe and drill. The connection now has a very solid (and much safer) bolted connection. If you have reason to suspend the projector at an distance from the ceiling greater than that if neither extension tube were used, but less than that of any single tube, you will have do some cutting. I have everything perfect now but it took a couple of days.
Loose ball mount leads to projector movement
January 16, 2017
I like Cheetah products, but this one seems to have a defect. The ball mount is just too loose and cannot be tightened enough to keep the projector in place. My projector is large, but I would expect a projector mount to be able to hold a large projector in place without issue. My projector needs to be held in a slightly tilted position, but the ball mount slowly slips over the course of 3-4 days. Aside from my projector image always being 1-2 inches higher than I would like, it is an easy to install product, and I generally like Cheetah products. I believe I will be buying a new mount soon.
don't recommend for projectors with off-center balancing - BenQ HT1075
December 10, 2016
I purchased this mount for my BenQ HT1075. The first unit I received had an issue with the plate that attaches to the ball mount being loose, so I could never get decent screen alignment that would stay in place. I contacted customer service and they promptly sent me a new mount. The new one I received had a tight connection where the ball joint is pressed into a metal plate, so I was excited to have my problem solved....the problem was then that with the way the projector moves while adjusting the set screws, I tried leaving the set screws tight and manually adjust the the projector to offset the drift. Big mistake, because the metal plate is too thin and that made the pressed connection loose, resulting in the same problem I had with the first unit I received. The customer service was great, just a bad design element has me tired of messing with it and now looking for a new mount.

This product is probably good in some situations - but not in mine. I have a predetermined screen size, and need the projector to stay as still as possible. This mount uses a ball and socket connection that is nearly impossible to line up. You really need to guess, tighten it, and hope it stays still or moves into the position you desire. When you get it lined up (usually took 2 people and 10 minutes) it would slowly move again. My projector is an Optoma hd142x. The brackets are off center. Other reviews seem to agree that off-center projectors don't do well with this mount. Unfortunately, I will need to purchase a different mount. The positives of this mount - it doesn't cost a lot, it comes with a twisted veins hdmi cord (which I had never used and prompted me to later buy more from that brand), it is very adaptable for vaulted ceilings, and is easy to set up if you don't have a pre-set screen.

I thought this mount was nice, until I had to install it on the ceiling. No matter what, the projector does not sit tightly. I can tighten the screws in the correct position, but there is still play and the projector is able to move about, making it EXTREMELY frustrating to try to fit it within a screen/frame on the wall. I would steer clear of this product for this reason. I bought it about a month ago, and I just missed out on the replace time. Not too happy about that!
Not compatible with Epson 2030 projectors

Quality of the product was ok but returned for a refund after finding that the mounting bracket is not compatible with my projector (the Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 2030).

The screws that came with this walk projector holder are too small and slide in and out of the projector mount and the projector so it will not hold the projector.

As others mentioned, tightening the small screws is very stressful. This doesn't fit the three screw projector properly. I bought this for my InFocus 4800 projector and it was a waste of money.

This is the worst experience I have ever had
September 18, 2017
This is the worst experience I have ever had. This is a real Peace of you know what. All the parts , nuts, bolts, washers were all over the place in the box. I spent about 5 hours going to the store to try to find the missing bolts and washers and drilling holes in my Ceiling getting sheet rock dust all over me only to find out that it doesn't have the right piece for the swivel nut and will not be able to be put together! I am furious and would urge anybody who is thinking of buying this product to stay away from this do not fall into the trap that I did!

This is my first review of any product. It is almost impossible to get the projector alignment correct with this mount. I have a Epson HC2045 and spent days to get the correct alignment but failed. Finally I gave up and bought a VIVO projector mount. With VIVO only one person is needed for alignment since the projector hangs safely in the mount and you can adjust pitch, roll and yaw independently. With Cheetah you need two person, one to adjust and one to hold the projector. So you can imagine how that will work out. It is very difficult to synchronize and once you get correct alignment, after sometime it will shift and will lose the alignment. My advice would be stay away from this product, not sure how this is the best seller.
cannot make fine adjustments to projector - renders it USELESS
April 27, 2017
The mounting part is nice and easy to install, but you cannot make minor adjustments to the projector once you hang it - it just hangs there and moves easily to the slightest touch. So its useless - now I have a useless pole hanging in my media room and if I have to but a different mount, I will do more damage to my ceiling having to mount it elsewhere
Doesn't stay where you put it!!
March 23, 2017
We got this mount about 6 months or so ago and at first it was fine, but over time it just started slowly moving and every time I go to adjust it, it never stays where I put it! If this thing actually stayed where we put it then it would be great, but its so frustrating because our picture never seems to be straight and is always off the screen now because the thing won't stay in place when I tilt it up, it always wants to move down! Thinking about getting another mount at this point because this thing is so infuriating!

The bottom portion would not fit into the top portion (where the swivel ball mounts). Even with force it would not slide in. This is clearly an issue with tolerances within the manufacturing process. Hopefully, it is isolated to a batch.

I almost never write reviews, but this is a product that has driven me crazy. AVOID this product at all costs. Do yourself a favor and get a quality projector mount. There are so many issues with this product, but the one that drives me the craziest is the inability to hold the projector tightly. Whereas most other projector mounts allow the projector to stay wherever you set it, this projector mount will not. Ive put all the correct screws and even tried crazy gluing the metal bracket to the metal disk with no success. There are 2 serious design flaws that blows my mind how they were not even caught in testing.#1: There is a metal dish that attaches to a bracket on the piece that attaches to the projector. This attachment is loose. you cannot tighten it because its welded on to another piece but not to the dish itself. If they simply would of not welded this piece and put a screw that attaches to the bracket, this would have solved this issue. The projector will always shift a little from where you set it. This will drive you crazy.#2: The extension poles are not snug so when you bolt the poles onto each other, there is a gap that also adds to malalignment issues. Again the projector will always shift. When you are mounting a projector, especially a short throw, mm make a huge difference. This mount will be inches off giving you horrible alignment. Even if you get it perfect it will shift over time. Worse, if you plug/unplug a cable to the projector, this will result in enough force to make it shift again.Do yourself a favor and get a real mount, especially considering how much money you drop on the other projector components.
