Bose, What More Do You Say?
April 2, 2017
What do you say? Bose is a Bose is a Bose. These sit elevated on my jewelry bench to the left and right and the sound literally sounds like its coming from between them right in front of me. Perfect balance. I listed to audio books for about 40-50 hours a week while I work, crystal clear. Occasionally I do listen to music and if you want some volume these will blast you if your using them how they were meant to be used. If your trying to use them like a home stereo you bought the wrong item, these are DESK speakers.
Great computer speakers for the price....
March 16, 2017
Very nice speakers for listening to music from my computer. Other's have complained about the bass, but I find it perfect for my small apt. without bothering my neighbors. I had UBL speakers for many years and the left speaker finally gave out. These are comparable to them and I am very satisfied.
A great improvement to my desk
February 27, 2016
Really great speakers for a desk or office!Pros+no blue tooth+no charging (plug into wall)+it is a 2 speaker system which is perfect for a desk or office, do you really need a subwoofer for your workspace and if so where would you put it?+professional appearance/slick as hell+loudCons-may be too many wires going on for some people (1 from left to right speaker, 1 from right speaker to outlet, 1 from right speaker to computer)A note on sound quality: I am not an audiophile but I can tell the difference between these speakers and my friends'. These speakers feel very "clear," I feel closer to the music and this may be a strange observation but when I hear any keyboard instrument played through them I picture someone actually playing because the sound is just so much more similar to a live performance than how it comes through on my speakers or headphones. The bass is also just fine in my opinion unless your passion is making the room shake or playing dubstep obnoxiously loudly.
I just received these speakers and so far I love them. The sound is Crystal clear
January 21, 2016
I just received these speakers and so far I love them. The sound is Crystal clear, and it has just enough bottom bass to sufficiently blend the sounds. There is also no static when these speakers are turned way up. All of the speakers in my home are BOSE, so of course When the older version started to age on me, BOSE was an obvious choice. but I kept those other speakers too. My other speakers have lasted for almost four years. I hope the newer version has the same duration before there are problems.

I'm a big fan of Bose so the first thing I'll say is "if it's a Bose it's gotta be good", I expected quality & I have it!I have a 22" Samsung TV with decent speakers, but I plug in these speakers & I have top notch stereo, certainly worth the $100I'll add this for you older folk, I don't hear as well as I used to & I miss a lot of what's said with the TV speakers, these Bose speakers adds clarity for me & I can hear everything said. It's not about the volume as much as the clarity.
Bose Companion 2 series III Multimedia Speakers installed on my HDTV
December 4, 2013
I just installed these speakers on my HDTV, and they are outstanding. I have them in a 400 square foot room. The sound is outstanding! I am so impressed with them that I had to write my first ever review. They installed just like they would on my computer--very, very easily. I can't believe how amazing they are especially since they were not terribly expensive.

Great value with a third party sound software
August 18, 2017
I was skeptical buying these after reading a few reviews, but gave them a try anyway. As another reviewer mentioned, if you plan to just plug and play with these, they won't have very good sound. You will definitely need a third party program, like Sound Blaster Cinema, to get the most out of these speakers. After tweaking with the settings, these sound great!A few other reviews said that the speakers they bought didn't look like the picture, but mine came in exactly like the product in the description.
Very Happy
July 20, 2017
Very, very happy with this speaker set. I bought them to replace an ancient set I was using on my desktop that had static if my phone was near (yeah, they were that old). I wanted a "cheap" set that sounded great with great bass and decided to try these. After setting up and tweaking the Realtec equalizer, the sound quality was astounding. Used Hearts "The woman in me" song to test the bass and it was 5 star. I just received them today so I'm not sure about their longevity, but if they maintain the sound they have now into the "distant" future, you can't go wrong. For those of you that place a higher priority on the "light show", you will be disappointed. They barely pulse and look more like the power is about to go out rather than following the bass. I liked the color and didn't care about the pulse aspect of it. You can turn them completely off if you like.Product was packaged well and arrived with no problems.

March 6, 2017
Item itself connected extremely easily and was a no hassle considering the separate plugins for the speakers and bass itself. The bass booms and echos smoothly with a volume that you can pump to your ears desire. (No lack of loudness) The button underneath the bass button is a press away from sending lightning like effects into your speakers. The lights themselves are gorgeous and shine transparently. They lighting itself isn't too bright nor takes away from the system at all...if anything it adds a delicious touch if you boost your bass up and watch them pulse away with your favorite tunes! Sound quality itself is very crisp and no cons were found with anything I played. All in all the item is easily worth the price and goes nicely with a cool PC setup or even for atmosphere at a get together.
Speakers...of the future!
February 13, 2017
Absolutely love the speakers, it's true that I don't see them pulsing with music like other users have experienced. However, I think that I prefer static lights rather than pulsing. It really adds a new level of sound to my Echo Dot. Not that the speaker was soft on that, but these really add a huge level of detail. I love the looks as well, such a futuristic pattern.
Don't wait! Buy Them! You won't regret!
December 27, 2016
I have bought many things from Amazon but this is my first review. Ordered these speakers for my office as most of my speakers in my house are bose, I didn't feel spending $100 on something I probably wouldn't use all the time....After they came in a week ago, I can't stay out of my office! Ive been jamming everyday since! I really hope they don't up the price on these because these are a steal and the quality is perfect for as I mentioned before, they are office speakers for me but, can be hooked up to a phone or anything with an Aux jack.In short, buy them! the sound is great, the price is perfect and the strobe/pulsating effect is cool!
Never been happier great speakers!!
December 5, 2016
Ok listen up people do not spend a huge amount of money for some speakers, stop what your doing and look no further. We just got these today and they are absolutely amazing!!!! The sound is out of this world, at first I was scared because I have had bad pass exsperience with exspensive speakers and ended up disappointed, but not this time. Go to you tube and see for your self!!!!!!!

Fair price for a base Bose speakers
November 4, 2017
Fair price for a good, but not great product.Bose makes a quality product and this is no exception. You're not going to wowed by these speakers if you're an audiophile, but if you want a good pair of speaker for videos or casually listening to music in an office this will work.PROS: Price to quality ratio this is a good buy. If you have an ear for quality speakers, music or want to use this for office use these speakers will do well. There's enough bass to give justice to rock, or rap, that being said, it doesn't have a subwoofer and if you heard a $500-$3000 sound system and think these will hit the lows and bass of a 3k system, you need to move along. The speakers are even suitable for a TV and sounds way better than a TV speaker, or a cheap bar. However it's not going to give you a theater experience. Bear in mind it's not 2.1 or 5.1, or Dolby certified speakers. No one will accuse of you having crap speakers, but no will will mistake you for being a music producer either with these speakers. The speakers perform good enough and without sound distortion.CONS:If you're looking for a home-theater sound experience these speakers will disappoint. However if you're on a budget, and have a budget of $100.00 these speakers will do the job.
VERY disappointed but now better....
September 14, 2017
I was pretty excited about the speakers until I plugged them in and played some Bill Chase and Maynard Ferguson. Very muddy sound with WAY too much bass, and very little treble. I have a Realtek HD ALC221 integrated sound card with no graphic equalizer currently available. I'll attempt to get an equalizer installed and will update this review if I'm successful.VERY disappointed in the sound quality. Would NOT recommend these speakers for purchase.UPDATE: 09/18/2017 I finally found the software to apply a different EQ and the speakers are MUCH better, though still not really worthy of the Bose name or price tag. I think that these are probably the equal of speakers at about half the cost.
Very good
June 27, 2017
I listen to a lot of music on my PC. I expected some depth & a good sound stage. Also I wanted crisp highs. Not with this set. But they are very nice to listen to casually. If you're a classical music lover, Pavarotti, and sopranos, don't expect a thrilling experience. But all in all they are quite good. If you want all of the above, you'll have to spend a lot more (over $200). If you have a deep wallet, try the Bose 301-V 29309 Stereo Loudspeakers. I have these on my Home Theater (5*)

I was so hesitant to buy these.... price... do I really need such expensive speakers to just listen to music at my desk?I love them. I am sure there are more affordable options out there... but I was going for compact... and I didn't want a sep subwoofer as I find they are less effective at a wide range of volumes.Thats the beauty of Bose... everything just sounds about right... no messing with EQ or balance or Bass/Treb volume. My music sounds good... netflix sounds fine... Go to meetings work well. I am happy
Good for Computer
March 30, 2017
Good for my computer where I can adjust the audio card settings, but deep bass sound when connected to my echo Dot. Mine quit working after 27 days and this is the only time I have ever had any bad experience with Bose. I believe it was the power adapter. Amazon sent a replacement in two days. Great Customer Service.

December 29, 2014
These are by no means bad speakers. They sound good and it sounds like you're right next to them no matter where you are in the room. My major issue with these is with the highs and lows. The high end of the spectrum, such as with high hats and shakers, are swallowed by the mid bass range, and the sub bass cuts out rather abruptly. This is an issue for me as I mainly listen to Drum and Bass and its subgenres. However, that's to be expected, and if I really wanted serious sub bass I'd need a pair with a sub woofer now wouldn't I? These are definitely much better than what I expected for speakers of this size.As I haven't owned many desk speakers, I can't say whether or not the issues are par for the course, but these are definitely better than any other speaker system that I've used.

Why are the speaker cables so short?
July 27, 2017
Had to get a pair of TRRS extension cables in order to put the front & rear speakers where I want them. 2nd Street Electronics should sell the extension cables as well. Works real well and I love the blue light but, as others have mentioned, the pulsating is hardly noticeable.Update: rear speakers seem not as loud as they should be. Adjusted balance a bit toward the rear so they're not drowned out by the front.
But it provides good sound, consisted volume levels
May 12, 2017
I was more than a little surprised at this, considering it was only $50. But it provides good sound, consisted volume levels, and the bass thumps (when you want it to). The flashing lights don't really do their thing very well, but that was't a feature I cared about. Many of these types of system also seem to have too short of speaker wires, and this is not exception. However they are longer than other models, so that got it a four out of five. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product.
GOgroove BassPULSE...is named as MAHAMA PUNCH after the Outgoing President of Ghana, John Mahama
December 21, 2016
I took the chance to buy this speaker system and I instantly named it after the outgoing Ghana President, John Mahama. I call the set the Mahama Punch for its quality and also to drum home how people sometimes overlook small stuff in favor of so called brand names. I was like, if it comes and it is not good, it would be like I lost the money somewhere but wait a minute, the set exceeded my expectations. I got it during the summer time, and playing it outside our house in Brooklyn, attracted curious eyes. The sound was so cool that I took it to Ghana, West Africa during my long vacation visit. In Ghana, my host family was bereaved the time I got there so one weekend I connected the set and boom, everybody loved the sound quality from such a portable unit. I am planning to buy a new one since I did not return from Ghana with the first one. Cool system for the price.
Great Speakers! Amazing Quality!
August 5, 2016
The GoGroove Bass Pusle speakers are amazing! I was blown away by the solid performance of the subwoofer and the two tweeter speakers. The sun is the central hub of the whole setup. From the sub you control the volume, the amount of bass and it has the on/off button for the pulsing lights. The lights supposedly "pulse"... I guess they do but it is not nearly to the extent where I would have but that in the name. It is a very weak pulse. The lights in general are a great addition to any setup. The sub is amazing has a really smooth sound. The speakers can get quite loud and are very clear sounding. But as you get to the top of the spectrum the start to sound scratchy and sounds like they might break. As long as you keep the actual volume of whatever is playing the music down to around 80-90% you should have free reign with the volume of the speakers and subs. Because of the weak pulsing of the lights I can't give them five stars especially because it is in the name. Other than that I would definitely recommend these to someone. They are well worth the price.
Buy for aesthetics and adequate sound, not for sound alone
January 25, 2016
I purchased this speaker system mainly for its color/aesthetics and read reviews assuming the sound quality would be adequate if not decent.I was more or less right and was on the verge of 3 and 4 stars. The quality of sound I would say was not as good as my $22 logitech speaker system from 5 or 6 years ago, which still are working on my other desk. When the speaker is on, the input cord absolutely has to be plugged in (green audio jack) to your computer otherwise is a makes a loud humming noise. So whenever I switch to my headphones I have to turn the speaker off altogether in the back. Even when plugged in if you move the green jack around too much or spin it in the port, you can hear distortion in the sound. These don't affect functionality too much but are rather inconvenient. So the verdict for me is, the product is a 3-3.5 star speaker system given the competition at this price tag. However I bought it with aesthetics in mind and I'm not an audiophile so the sound quality is adequate for me. It looks pretty sexy with my green setup so hence, 4 stars.
just because I like the color blue and I liked the price
August 31, 2015
I bought this as an impulse buy, just because I like the color blue and I liked the price. The reviews weren't too bad either. I didn't need anything really high end. Just something to listen to music on my laptop, phone and mp3 player.I was shocked on how good it sounded and how much power this speaker system had. Although it sounded kind of tinty, it wasn't that bad. I recieved the system relatively fast and it was real easy to set up and get going.

I didn't think there was such a thing as too much bass, but...
May 17, 2017
Nice sound, but I expect a little more at this price point. I can see how some other reviewers say that there is too much bass. (That's like saying "too much chocolate," right?) But they have a point. I like bass too, and that's one reason I bought these speakers, but it's almost as if the bass is artificially boosted inordinately in these speakers, and.... there's no way to turn it down. C'mon, Bose, how about a simple knob to adjust how much bass we want? These speakers are like a lot of other tinny computer speakers out there, coupled with a big subwoofer that you can't turn down.
They're ok
April 21, 2017
They're ok, I was expecting a little more from Bose, to be honest. I'm a Bose nut, most of my speakers are from them. These are decent, but have little bass, and an overall odd sound. The cheap old dell speakers these replaced actually sounded better. I'm contemplating sending them back; most any computer speakers you'll find will sound comparable. I should have known better, I usually avoid the lowest end Bose products, as the mid and higher end products sound much better in my experience.
Disapointing sound quality from Bose for the price
July 11, 2016
Positive: looks sturdy and well designed overall. I like bose degin in general, compact in comparison to other speakers with a subwoofer.Negative: Low fidelity sound, there is no light to indicate it is working, the cables are short. These speakers are overpriced (like most Bose products).Verdict: I'm returning them and will keep my logitech z312 which sounds actually better with deeper bass, even though a little too much) and for the 1/3 of the Bose price.
Conparison with the Yamama NX-50 Premium Computer Speakers
September 14, 2015
I bought these and the Yamaha NX-50 Premium Computer Speakers. I have had the same Sony SRS-D21 2.1 Speaker system for almost 5 years now, and I was quite content with that. I never realized how much in music I was missing out when I had those. I first received the Companion III Speakers in the mail, and tested them for about 5 days before these NX-50s arrived. What I liked about the Bose:1. Does not distort even at max volume for any type of music2. No feedback noise when volume dial is turned to the max and you are not listening to music3. No "Sharp" or "High" sounding when listening to songs that can bother some people4. Very balanced sound with slight bass emphasis5. The small indent on the volume knob is easily felt in the dark to know where you turned your dial to. I like this because I like keeping this symmetric.6. The volume knob also turns very solidly, and has a satisfying feel to it.What I disliked about the Bose:1. Sounds a little more muffled or "flat" when compared to the NX-50s. The Bose sounds very dull and has no liveliness to it (Keep in mind this is my opinion AFTER listening to the NX-50s. Before, I thought the Bose were great).2. I was not expecting the speakers to be able to hit deep lows when listening to bass heavy songs (If you want to get that earthshaking bass, get a 2.1 speaker system or install a 8" or bigger sub woofer in your car). However, the bass is really thumpy and sounds unnatural to the song in most hiphop songs. For things likes Jazz and Blues, it was great. Now for the Yamaha NX-50s!What I like about the NX-50s:1. Amazing, "colorful" and lively sounding. Expecially when playing things like jazz, classical, or any songs that don't have ridiculously low bass notes.2. Much louder and voices are MUCH crisper.3. Things like snaps, bells, and chimes all sound as if they are really in the room with you.4. Small white LED indicator light to let you know its on.What I disliked about the NX-50s:1. Feedback noise at max volume is really annoying. So keep your volume at around 70% or lower and adjust your master volume on your computer to your looking.2. Distorts at higher volumes for most songs I listened to.3. Volume dial feels like it is much poorer quality compared to the Bose dial.4. Bass rattles when it the notes are super low, and can make the voices in the songs feel like they are vibrating. Play some hip hop / rap and you will know what I mean.CONCLUSION:While both speakers are great, they both have their pros and cons. If you really don't want to spend well over $100 for desktop speakers, go for the Bose. Just know you are sacrificing some sound quality in my opinion. The Bose are noticeably more flat sounding than the Yamaha's. However, if you don't listen to them side by side, I'm sure it won't matter to you. The Yamaha Speakers sound amazing, but for more money. If you really enjoy listening to all the detail in a song, I would recommend going for the NX-50s. They are much louder, crisper, and more "surround sound" like. Just remember the pros and cons I found for both. Good luck choosing!
Great sound, however a couple areas fall short of Bose product expectations
March 6, 2015
I just set them up last night, however, I'm already ready to write my review as certain factors made my review very clear to me. The positives: Clear sound, better clear bass than many, attractive style. My experience in the past has been that Bose products were also pretty well constructed. The negatives: Buy a cable to connect it to your computer! The other reviews were not kidding in that the cord provided is jokingly short. Trust me, if you order these speakers, buy a connecting cable (1/8 inch). You will need it! Also, I really wanted the vloume nob to turn up another 1/4 rotation! For Bose speakers, I thought they would be able to be louder than their max is. Granted, they do get pretty loud for computer speakers, however, if you're expecting them to be as loud as the smaller passive Bose bookshelf-type speakers, don't; they aren't. That was a little disappointing. I expected them to be in that same range, as they are the same price as their passive stereo bookshelf/wall type speakers. The other thing that I wish they had would be an indicator light on the front to remind you whether they are still on or off. There is no light. Bose put 3/4 effort into this and needs to upgrade just a bit, however, I do like them. I also sincerely hope that future improvements will be made.
Very nice speakers
November 21, 2013
These are nice speakers with a sleek, black finish and I like they fact that there is no bright LED power indicator on the front so they are fairly invisible. Having said that I had these sitting in the little cubbies of my ancient computer hutch and there was was too much bass since they already have a lot of bass to begin with at all volumes and then with the rear-firing bass ports that made them way too bassy in the enclosed space. I returned them and bought a pair of Audioengine A2 Premium Powered Desktop Speakers - Pair (Black) for $100 more. They have a forward-firing bass port and since I already have the speakers at ear level the A2's sound better in my application because they are not angled up like the Bose.

April 21, 2017
These things lasted about 2 years for me. The quality of the product leaves a bit to be desired. Flimsy construction and the speakers seem to have rattling problems (I experienced a few times and other reviewers have mentioned them as well). They do get loud and the LED effects are decent enough. I'd say they are worth the money if you are going for looks. Be warned, now after 2 years the volume output has declined drastically. I used to keep these puppies at about half volume for jamming out and it was LOUD.Now I'm literally buying a new set of speakers because it's hard to hear some audio content with the volume at MAX (which was previously UNBEARABLY loud). All in all the product is OK. Lasted about 2 years for $60 (I think)...meh.
Decent stuff here
March 19, 2017
It really looks and sounds nice, but I felt a little saddned here, as if you try to amp the volume up past 5/8ths the max, the speakers begin to pop, same with the bass. I know their not made for car so theyre not suppose to be as loud but if it give the option to get louder, shouldnt it get louder and still work properly?
Great lights, good quality sound, but not a high volumes
September 8, 2016
The lights are beautiful! I love the blue color and it fits with my set up. The flashing has only happened on a few random times. Even with the bass and volume all the way up for everything, they don't flash. I really don't know what exactly causes them to flash on the rare occasion that they do.The sound is pretty good. I usually listen at a low volume because I don't want to bother my neighbors, but when it is at a higher volume (not even full), the speakers crackle. A lot. I intend to get full use of these for a while, but I will be upgrading once I move.
Disappointing.
August 7, 2016
For the price, you could get a better audio experience elsewhere, but I got them for the lights. They're fun for a while with the pulse they do for the bass, and with the included subwoofer they actually sound pretty good. However, the lights are much dimmer then I'd like, the wire for the two speakers is very short, and some music and spoken word things like podcasts create a buzzing on the thin plastic speakers which is very annoying. They were fun at first but now I find myself wishing I had spent the money on some higher quality speakers.I will say this, If you're only using them for gaming and want a low-light experience, I think you might be happy with them.

July 25, 2015
It looks cool, but as a speaker setup it feels fairly week. The 2 speakers are tweeters only, so they sound really week without the base component added, and even then i have to turn the base up to almost full to even get it to sound normal. You can't really turn heavy bass up on this thing, just roughly to the level where it is about normal with the mid and high ranged sounds. I'm a fan of feeling the music, and getting a bit of a kick out of the subwoofer, this didn't satisfy that need nearly as much as i thought it would. The LED's are also pretty hard to see unless its really dark, besides that you only see the led about an inch up the side speakers. The sub looks cool lit though, even in the day.Pros:cool led in the darkvery clear tweeterspriceCons:bass has to be turned on full for it to be even worth it. If you turn the bass low it sounds terrible since the unit is the only thing providing mid and bassDoesn't have much power even though its a 40w speaker setupcable wire is fairly short, not a deal breaker but it could use an extra couple feet.conclusion: if you want something that looks like and unique, go for it, but if you want something that looks cool and is a good speaker setup, find something else.
Pulse function lights up light but that's about it
February 27, 2015
Well, setting the product up is certainly a breeze, but after that is where things got a little tricky for me. The speakers appear to be quite flimsy, and the output cord for them requires a bit of forcing into it's spot. The speakers look nice, but they do not pulse! I have looked all the internet for the solution and I still can't find it. And yes, I am competent to the point I know the bass must be turned up 80% (and it certainly is turned all the way up). That being said, it was a significant reason I bought these speakers in the first place. The sound quality is about as you would expect, pretty decent for a small setup but certainly not a higher-grade sound system. For all the damn problems I have had trying to get this product to perform as it says it will, I would suggest shopping around for another speaker.UPDATE: The speakers do pulse, but only when the volume is up fairly loud.Even then, it still leaves a lot to be desired as it's a little more of glowing shake than a "pulse". If you buys these expecting an amazing light show to keep you entertained then you will be fairly disappointed

September 7, 2017
I am not sure if I was doing something wrong or these were messed up but they sounded BAD ... no highs really and just muffled sound with to much bass really. But it can;t be me cause I plugged the logitechs right back in after taking these out and the sound was astounding. These are NOT Bose quality period!
Contaminated audio connectors, unexpectedly poor audio
August 24, 2017
Speakers arrived quickly, which was great (thanks, Amazon!) but the 3.5mm audio connectors were contaminated with some kind of sticky substance that prevented good connection - there was a lot of static in the audio, like a half plugged-in cable. It was easy enough to clean, I guess, but I'd expect more from Bose. After cleaning the audio jacks, the static left, but I get odd resonance at high frequencies, which makes the audio sound harsh. I don't know if it's the cable still, or if the speakers have some other issue. Maybe I was shipped a returned set?Whatever the case, I'm disappointed. Bose used to stand for quality.
Says Bose on the front of them. They can't be.
August 15, 2017
I got these to replace a Logitech 2.1 set up for my computer that I had for a long time. I needed to simplify, upgrade my sound and to rid myself of the sub woofer which was just a dust collecting boat anchor in my den. Having had exposure to Bose products throughout my life and having been very impressed with how they sound, particularly their smaller speakers I figured I would give these a try. I don't know if it were the pair I received but everything sounded like it was under water... there was some resonant frequency that made everything sound horrific and I just couldn't EQ it out... and since both speakers sound that way I assume that's just how they sound. In addition to that they were either too loud or too quiet so I was very underwhelmed / aka disappointed with the clarity and frustrated having to constant turn things up when people were talking and immediately turn it down when there was action or music.Amazon being awesome I just returned them and with my refund I got a pair of Edifier R1280T's for the same price. I am very glad I did.

I returned these...the sound quality isn't what I'd call "BOSE". For the price, I'd expect MUCH better

The first speakers I bought were malfunctioning right out of the box; Amazon sent me replacement speakers, and they worked fine (sound was good) for 14 months (12-month warranty). I'm done with Bose.

I was disappointed with this product as I expected a little more in terms of sound and features. I planned to use this as a replacement to an old logitech 2.1 speaker system. I felt the sound was not much of a difference and without the sub-woofer the sound sounded flat. I was also disappointed with the length of the audio cable that connects to the PC. It could not reach from the right side of my desk to the left side where my desktop sits on ground. It seems as these are aimed more at laptop setup. With the price being around 100 dollars I felt there were better options where I wouldn't have to compromise and ended up returning the product.

Pros: Very attractive.Cons: Sound is merely...ok. Both speakers died within a year of purchase and I am now left with sound only from the sub. This is a poorly made, border line faulty product.
Terrible Quality
May 24, 2017
I was really excited for these. They looked cool and had decent reviews.Bought them for Xmas 2016 for my boyfriend, didn't try them until after new years. What a mistake that was -_-They are terrible. They sound grainy from day 1 and it got worse from there. They sound like they've been used a thousand times already... its May now but from day one the quality has been cheap. Want to know exactly what it sounds like? Get a speaker and press down on the cone as hard as you can, then block the second speaker altogether. That's what these sound like. Now its too late to return them and Im stuck with some awful speakers.
Worked pretty well for a few months, but then died.
March 13, 2017
Worked great for a few months. Sound was decent and they matched the PC I built. A few months later though... the sound was gone, except from 1 speaker, and the only way to get sound out of it was to crank it to max, and crank the volume on the PC to 100%. Even then it wasn't stereo anymore, and only the bass would play out of the other side. Unfortunately I had to buy another pair, since it matches my system. Hopefully this next set will last longer than a few months.
Speakers do not have good enough bass, right speaker broke within 5 months
December 14, 2016
I have changed my review due to myself not looking into this more. This system does not last. At all. Less then 6 months of use and the right speaker is already dead. The sound isnt that great either. The sound bar for my TV has better bass than this thing. Now I cant return it due to the return window being closed.Wish I could
I really do not recommend these speakers.
July 16, 2016
The sounds is scratchy at high volume, and it just tries to oversell itself with the lights. Aesthetically pleasing, but the sound quality is on the lower end of the spectrum...Pros:-Cool lights-It's compactCons:-Lights tend to look dim-Sound is scratchy-QuietI sincerely recommend you reconsider purchasing this product. DO NOT ignore the negative reviews like I did!!!!! I know there are a lot of 5 star reviews, but surely they must be fake. These speakers are really crappy.
Faulty wiring? Pretty and sounds good otherwise
July 9, 2016
The left speaker I received is faulty. It is effectively inaudible, unless I flip the back switch off and on, and unplug and replug the speakers from my computer, an undetermined number of times and in no particular order. As long as I don't touch the volume knob after that, the left speaker sounds fine.Malfunctioning speaker aside:Pros:-They're pretty.-They sound good.Cons:-It's rather annoying that the power switch is on the back side of the central part; I'd prefer it in the front.-There's a fairly bright red light on the back side of the central part which ruins the blue aesthetic. (Should probably just tape it over..)I'm rating 2 because of the faulty speaker. If it wasn't faulty, and I had assurance that these speakers would last a long time, I'd rate them a 4. The cons are minor, and the pros are exactly what you're paying for. You could probably get speakers of the same sound quality for much cheaper, so just be aware it's the aesthetic that you're paying for.

Terrible muffled sound
December 17, 2016
Quite simply the worst sounding speakers of any kind I've ever heard. I buy a lot through Amazon and this is one of my only returns ever. Avoid!
Very disappointed.

Mine have blown out after 6 months. Very disappointed.
Not As Good As Previous Model

Not As Good As Previous Model, Series II. I have both, and the sound quality of the Series III speakers is very disappointing.
Embarrassingly cheap

The first week they functioned properly. The second week the power supply broke and now they don't work.Embarrassingly cheap.

Volume output decline dramatically after just 1 year.
September 28, 2017
I've had these speakers for only a year (purchased in 2016). They were decent at first and used to have good volume output. I used to have them set at about 1/3 max volume. But even when new, the bass crackles at high volumes and the lights only pulse at the highest volumes (which used to be way too loud). Then after a year, the volume output has dropped so much I have it set to max volume now and even then my bathroom bluetooth speaker has a louder volume output. Looked at the reviews and it seems I wasn't the only one with this problem.
These speakers look great with my blue
February 8, 2017
These speakers look great with my blue, led backlit keyboard and case. That's the only positive thing I can say about them. From the moment I got them in the mail they sounded tinny and just bad. After just a few months, one of the speakers gave out and would intermittently cut back in and out for brief moments. I haven't used these speakers for a couple of months now, because I had a monitor go out. Got a new monitor, hooked everything back up and these speakers have almost completely crapped out now. At this point, one of the two speakers is barely audible with the volume turned completely up and the other one that's been having problems has completely shorted out.
Disappointing sound reproduction.
January 17, 2017
Sound reproduction is very "tinny" and shrill. No matter how much you try and equalize the sound, it will remain "tinny" and shrill. My budget doesn't allow me to buy a new set right away, so I am making them work for now; but, I will replace them as soon as possible.
1 Year and It is Useless...
March 25, 2016
I purchased this a year ago. At first it pushed sound fantastically. The LEDs still work, but it barely pushes any audio now. I have to mess with audio software to make it push any sound at all. Everything wants to push through the bass instead of the speakers. I have tried everything to see if it may have been my audio drivers or the sound card on my board, but no. This is set up on a PC that is used for watching videos and gaming. It's not like I'm playing outrageously loud songs or anything on it. I regret buying it wholeheartedly. Next time, I go Logitech.
Looks Awesome- but have had 2 defective units.
December 22, 2015
Returning my second unit. Let me just say, these look amazing! When it is all lit up, it looks very nice- but they have to function and not just look pretty. First purchase, the sub woofer was not working - no sound was coming out at all. Customer service was very friendly (agreed that my issue sounded like a defect), but just recommended returning the item through Amazon. I ordered a replacement and the second unit I received worked well, everything was sounding great. However, 2nd day into using it, all the sudden the right channel got really quiet. When panning all sound right, no sound would come out of the speakers. I confirmed this on multiple devices. I will be looking into a more solid brand for my next set of speakers.
I do not suggest this item.
October 9, 2015
Do not pulse nearly as much as I expected, instead I see a slight flicker at maxed out volume, barely noticeable unless you are looking. Sound Quality is pretty good, unless of course you are on max volume to get that slight flicker of a "pulse." Also the way the lights are designed don't properly light the plastic. The LED lights are facing out of the sockets and create very uneven lighting more or less streaks of light with very bright dots where the light is starting.Edit: Update, these speakers have done nothing but sat in place for several months and not moved. I rarely use them due to my job needing me on headset so often, about a week ago the right speaker went out and has yet to produce any sound. Still get lights but zero sound.
