STRONGLY RECOMMEND
September 20, 2016
We went camping and used this cooler from a Thursday until a Sunday. It was in sunlight some of the time but not direct sunlight the entire weekend. This cooler was amazing! It is huge that is for sure!! It held everything that we needed and kept everything nice and cool. On sunday when letting the water out of the side of the cooler we still had ice in it! (and that's after our four year old kept opening it and not shutting it all the way)
Great BIG cooler
June 22, 2016
I was looking for a cooler that would hold the 130 cans I like to take with me to the water park and this one is perfect! On a more serious note, this cooler is very very nice. It holds a LOT of stuff and keeps everything cold just like it promises. It has 4 spots on top to hold beverages and the cooler itself is big enough to serve as a mini table. The top opens as a whole or you can chose to just open one side as it is split in the middle. This cooler is BIG. That being said, it fits nicely in the trunk of my car so it is not so big that it becomes a problem. The rugged wheels and sturdy handle were an absolute must for me, as dragging this thing around would not be much fun if it didn’t roll. I think this might be the last cooler I ever need to buy as I can see it lasting many years and it does a great job of keeping everything cold. I highly recommend this product. As a consumer who relies on reviews when making purchasing decisions, I hope to provide my own input on products in order to help others as well. This cooler is AMAZING! It will pay for itself if you camp or tailgate often! I went on a 4 day trip and loaded it up with 4 frozen gallon bottles of water and one 25 pound bag of ice (to provide loose water to fill in the gaps and keep everything cool). By the end of the 2nd day of the trip I realized I had better pull OUT 2 of the bottles if I wanted anything to drink. When I got home I had about 2 pints of UNFROZEN water in the gallon bottles, and about 1/3 of the bagged ice was still frozen. Now granted, this was in Nothern CA during weather in the 70's but I suspect that I would have found it performing very well even in hot weather. I am VERY satisfied with this purchase.By the way, it IS very large, but will still fit comfortably in a bear box with over half of the box left to spare for other essentials that need securing while camping.
Such great coolers! We bought 2
June 18, 2016
Bought these when they were on sale. Such great coolers! We bought 2. I like that the handle to wheel them is not telescopong. Seems like most coolers on wheels have a handle that pulls out. In my experience those tend to break. This one is durable. Like being able to reach in and grab without opening the lid. Especially nice for camping whe you need the ice to last a lomg time. Great purchase for us! So happy with these coolers
Perfect Size! Great Quality!
January 16, 2016
I was actually extremely worried buying this because of all the reviews saying how "gigantic" or "huge" this thing was but I decided to take the risk anyway because the price was so good and I needed something reliable to take with me on my road trip from Florida to Maine. Needless to say I was very happy and relieved when it arrived at the quality and the size of it. This cooler fit's perfectly and easily into the back of my SUV "2015 rav4 if that helps anyone for size reference" and I took the liberty of taking some pics as well for size reference to help out other potential buyers so you know what you are dealing with. Dunno why as of this writing no one else thought it a good idea post up pics but I am here to save the day!
These really work!
October 21, 2015
Purchased a couple of these for a wedding. Due to logistics, I needed one to keep 18 bottles of champagne cold for 3 days and another filled with beer and soda. They worked like a charm. The champagne one which was kept closed still had lots of ice on the third day as did the other one which saw constant opening and closing. Temps were in the 80's.

Very good cooler. Used it for a trip on a bus and it worked well keeping many drinks cool.

For the price, this is one of those coolers you just have around. Size and price are the best for options.

it's wonderful. arrived in excellent time. packaged well. perfect. but it is too large. it was a gift. so they wish to return it and purchase another coleman cooler that is a bit smaller. too bad. it was a great price and very good product.

Works great. Has a little more room than the unit it replaced. Any larger and I'd have trouble fitting it in the back seat of my car.

Melted expectations
September 3, 2016
So I bought the 75 quart cooler for a weekend camping trip. What caught my eye was the fact that it said it would hold ice up to 5 days. I figured 3 days would be a breeze. Yeah, no. By Sunday I had nothing but water and a few sorry ice cubes holding on for dear life. So I thought, maybe it was too hot outside and I would give it another chance to hold up to the hype. Disappointed again. This time it was a one day party. I left it outside for 2 days to see if the ice would start melting and it did. So, I wouldn't hold any hopes of this keeping things cold for 5 days, but it's a large capacity cooler and I like that part. Not a huge footprint either. Fit into my crossover with no problem.

Its a bit awkward to pull when full. Its very heavy! If the handle was longer, it would be much easier to pull.
Really good for the price
June 13, 2016
This ice chest is big, yet seems compact at the same time. The extra long handle was just convenient enough for someone who is 6'2". Someone taller will still be bending some to pull it. Kept items and ice cold for a couple days, but it was only about 1/5 full and the ice I was using was small and melted easily. I could tell a full cooler would stay cold for days. The only con is the drain plug is up above the wheel axle. So you have to have it at a pretty steep angle to actually drain water out.It is insanely good value (purchased for $40) compared to other ice chests. I will never have it away from an ice machine for a week, so a high end cooler was useless to me anyways.
I love the two flaps to open
January 12, 2016
I know they post the dimensions, but be aware this is a larger than "normal" sized cooler. The wheels are durable (have wheeled it across campus at work full of ice + beverages just fine). I love the two flaps to open!

great on size - but the drain hole is half way up the side of the cooler - so you have to stand it on end to drain. other than that - it's great.

Good product, holds items cold for 2 days if completely shut & with enough ice. Only wish there were wheels as this size cooler gets a bit heavy with the contents
Worth the cost
August 14, 2017
Nice cooler, probably won't last as long as our original Coleman but for what it's made of, we should get our use out of it.
It does the job
October 18, 2016
I purchased this during a lightning deal price- so for that price it gets 5 stars, but for the normal price i'd give it 4. Upon arrival the plastic had a few small dents in it (not an issue). The hinge works well, but it seems very likely to break after some prolonged use where it's attached to the cooler wall- I will be using some epoxy to give it durability. Handles are sturdy and drain works as it should, It's a simple cooler for single day uses like a picnic, tailgate, bringing frozen food home from the store, beach, etc.
Not bad!
May 1, 2016
This little cooler is an essential for camping! Who doesn't camp without one (unless you're backpacking). It actually kept everything nice and cool throughout the trip and it does it's job. I wish it was a little bigger because if you want a size that's big enough to hold enough booze and food, this may not cut it for you. Plus, to me, it felt a little cheap. Maybe I'm confusing "cheap" with what is actually "lightweight and convenient" but it just lacks a little bit for me.

The price isn't bad, but I would probably just opt for a slightly bigger one that's at least 64 quarts + with wheels for the ultimate convenience. Again, this product is exactly as described, but I'm not sure if I 100% love it.

Seems to leak a lot of cold out. The outside of the cooler (while sitting in my kitchen) got condensation and felt cold to the touch. This leads me to believe that it isn't insulated enough. Holds quite a bit for camping.
Spring for one with better hinges.
July 17, 2016
We purchased this cooler a few weeks ago to take camping with us. The first thing I noticed are the flimsy plastic hinges (if you can even call them hinges..) attaching the lids. I doubt they are going to last long. They are just a piece of plastic that is thin in the middle where it creases to bend. The lid does not stay open, you have to hold it up. And I'm afraid someone is going to try to push the lid back too far and snap the hinges right off. I do like that it has wheels and is fairly easy to maneuver. Wish the drain spout sat a little lower, you have to tilt the cooler to drain most of the water out. And it is difficult to open the lid when closed, there's not much of a lip to hold on to to pull it open. My kids can't open it (but maybe that's a good thing?). As far as keeping things cold, it works about as well as our other coolers. I bought it because it was big, has wheels, and it's cheap. We will see how long it lasts, we have lots more camping trips to go on this summer.
Fair enough.
June 6, 2016
Good cheap cooler. Don't expect Yeti levels of ice preservation; I still had to add ice daily on a trip where the temps were in the high 80s, but I picked it up when the price was at $39.99 so I don't feel like I can complain too much. Very roomy and I like the wheels.
Hinge broke when we opened the lid
April 7, 2016
First time we used this cooler the screws came out of the hinge that opens the lid , not happy with that at all. It does keep things cold
High capacity, but not a 5-day cooler.
February 13, 2016
I ordered this cooler for a weekend camping trip. It was the perfect size to fit our food for the weekend, a couple jugs of water (one frozen), some ice packs, a 24-pack of beer and ice to top it off. I love that the top is divided so you can keep frequently used things on the one side so you don't have to open the whole chest every time you need something. However, the product says that it's a 5-day ice chest. All of our ice was melted in less than 3 days. We didn't have it sitting in the sun at all. Although our everything was still "cold" there was no ice which means that if we had been camping for longer the food would have eventually gotten warm. I was a little disappointed. Also, when i used the handle to pull it from the car to the campsite and back, the end by the wheels dragged making the journey a little slower. It seems like the wheels on this are slightly to small.

March 28, 2017
Its pretty nice, a little thin walled for my liking but it worked for my camping trip, needed to add ice everyday because it melted fast down in Key West, I like the drain plug at the bottom, definitely needed it to drain that melted ice
cheap cooler. in more ways than one.
June 16, 2016
The hinges are not, they are strips of flexible plastic. My old coleman 48 had actual heavy duty hinges. The walls are only 3/4" thick; 1/2" thinner than the old coleman cooler. I wouldn't trust this to keep things frozen all day in a hot environment.

It is OK for my primary use; keeping things cold when filled with cold water and placed in a cool environment. But it isn't something I would trust for frozen food in the back my car for a few hours in the summer.

Not well made

the size is great and the wheels and roller handle work well
August 2, 2016
I used this cooler for the first time this week and when I lifted it by the handle to get it down a step out of my house, the handle snapped in my hand. Sadly, it's past the return window so I'm not sure what can be done, but I'm hoping Amazon or Rubbermaid will be willing to replace the cooler. Otherwise, the size is great and the wheels and roller handle work well.
Does NOT hold ice for 5 days, not even close
July 12, 2016
I was not optimistic of this claiming to hold ice up to - key words - 5 days, and it did not. Might be a little better than cheaper versions, but i am not impressed. i think the only coolers that will hold this claim are very expensive. A few days, fine, but don't count on this to hold up to its claim

June 15, 2016
This is not what I would consider a five day cooler. It's well built, and if all you need is a cooler for a day trip, it would do just fine. I had 70 juice boxes and 20 pounds of ice and it was melted in 26 hours. My igloo 5 day performed much better.
2nd day use and the hinge broke
March 8, 2016
Here in Hawaii it kept my ice for 4 days. I just can't believe it. I just used this cooler for the second time and the hinge broke.
Broken Handle after 1st use.
January 19, 2016
Out of the box , one of the white handles was poorly installed and a metal reinforcement piece stuck out about 1/2". I tried to push the handle back-in a little because I needed the cooler for a camping trip the following day. After my adjustment the handle reinforcement was still exposed about 1/4". After the first use, the blue plastic reinforcement to secure the handle is now half way ripped. I'll likely only get one more use before the handle breaks for good. The other handle held up, but the quality control to ship a visible defective product is poor. I will go through the return process with Amazon.

Buy This for Instant Disappointment
January 9, 2017
Looked good, seemed good. Stuff stays cold, but what the heck...one of the handles fell off the second time we used it. My wife was picking it up from the car's back seat, and oops, one handle fell off. That's just lame. Very disappointed. This should not happen. I thought Coleman made better stuff, this was like a piece of cheap Chinese-made junk.

KEEPS ICE FOR 24(read 6) hours! Totally false advertising.

One day we even left it closed and I had a sun reflector on it blocking any sun from heating it up, while it was under a free in 70 degree weather. Ice gone in less than 8 hours and we didn't open it once because we were hiking. My trader joe's freezer bag would have kept stuff frozen longer.

Cheap hardware
June 24, 2016
We did like it, but the second time we used it, one hinge snapped in half on the top lid and the other has the screws pulling loose. There was no foul play or rough handling with the lids at all, it was not overfilled, and we were careful opening the lids. The hinges are made of a cheap plastic, they were not durable enough. We literally only got two uses out of it and it may have been opened maybe 20 times. I expected it to last more than the 3 months we had it.

My cooler arrived with the bottom corner badly dented as though it was damaged/dropped before the plastic had a chance to fully harden/cure. It's so lightweight that I wonder if there is any insulation actually inside it. Ice begins to melt after a few hours. If you need something to keep ice for a while, this is not it.
