Five Star Reviews: | 67% Great pillow September 11, 2017 This nursing pillow is fantastic. I started out with three different nursing pillows and this is the only one that my baby likes. Makes nursing so easy! Recommend! Happy mom and baby! July 14, 2017 My daughter just had a baby and is nursing. Bought the pillow for her. She and baby fell in love with it on first use. Excellent product. I love this nursing pillow May 23, 2017 I love this nursing pillow. The angle of it keeps my daughter's head higher than her body which is great because she has had issues with milk coming out of her nose and this definitely helps. Excellent May 22, 2017 Very good that I went ahead and bought a nursing pillow. This also works well to prop up baby while bottle feeding breast milk. Is a great price. Wish I had with my 1st child! February 9, 2017 Way better than a boppy! I have a long torso & this is seriously so much better for nursing. It doesn't squish down or slide out like others . It's much more firm & stays in place. Also provides great support! Great for couch-free nursing November 3, 2016 I debated getting a nursing pillow because I didn't want to get carried away with baby paraphernalia and we have a small apartment, but this pillow has saved my wrists as my baby has gotten heavier. I love this pillow. I went with this design because I don't really hold my baby in the cradle position, and I didn't want his feet to be even with his head (he leaks a lot of milk out of his nose if he's too flat). This is a great design for that, although you do have to flip the pillow when you switch sides. It's especially useful for nursing at the dinner table or when we're watching a movie in bed--or pretty much any time I can't sprawl on a couch (although I often use it for the side that doesn't have the couch armrest). I'll also take it in the car so I can nurse in the back seat if I'm out and about somewhere. It also doubles as a book stand, giving me somewhere to prop my book (or phone, let's be honest) while I'm nursing. My one disappointment was that it didn't just come with a cover, but I actually made one out of an old sheet and just left the end open like a normal pillowcase, and it works great (and I am NOT a seamstress). All in all, a great purchase I do not regret! | 72% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 16% This nursing pillow is nice because one edge is lower than the other and ... June 30, 2016 I found this pillow at my pediatrician's office in the nursing room and decided to order it.This nursing pillow is nice because one edge is lower than the other and I like that it has a cotton shell. This pillow does not come with a cover and I did not purchase a cover to use with it (it can be used with or without a cover). The best thing about this plow is that you can just throw it in the washer and dryer! I personally have figured out that nursing pillows are a bit cumbersome especially in the middle of the night , but this is a good pillow and it's useful as a way to support your arm when sitting and holding a sleeping baby. I like it a lot to rest arm and baby while ... June 2, 2016 Very firm and the large end is a lot more plump than a boppy. Used for bottle feeding not nursing. The cover is really hard to put on you have to wrestle it on it's very tight. I like it a lot to rest arm and baby while feeding. I don't use it for baby to be propped up on alone. The quality of the pillow is excellent. Many note that the pillow often times slide ... March 22, 2016 The quality of the pillow is excellent. Many note that the pillow often times slide away from you, it does. Please take measurements from your lap to your breast for a better idea of how large this pillow is. It really is big! Which is nice. Not sure if I will keep it though. The curve that forms to your body is quite awkward..making it slide away constantly. Nice pillow August 11, 2015 This is a nice pillow and has worked pretty well. It took some getting used to in the beginning, just to find the most comfortable positioning with baby. It was great for a newborn but I still use it from time to time with my 6 month old. My only complaint is that the one pillow case made for it is crazy expensive. However you can easily machine wash this, which I have done. This pillow was great while I was learning to breastfeed June 24, 2015 This pillow was great while I was learning to breastfeed. It is soft and very supportive. Some of the stitching has been pulled, such as with velcro and the like, but it seems cosmetic only and a very durable pillow. I like this pillow for its asymmetrical feature, because it helps keep your baby at the right angle in the early weeks, but it was inconvenient to have to flip the pillow over to use it on the other side at each session. I'll probably just go with a boppy next time. but don't like how flat it gets quickly during use June 21, 2015 I've used a Boppy in the past, but don't like how flat it gets quickly during use. I bought the Gia pillow and think it's a much better design. I love the thickness and how it curves. No more leaning over to feed the baby.I gave it only four stars because the covers are so expensive, do I have just a "bare" pillow. Also, at times my newborn slips down between me and the pillow. It's a little too wide for my build. But I like it much better than a Boppy. | 14% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 8% ALMOST awesome (but really not) March 7, 2017 I really wanted to love this pillow. It is, in fact, ALMOST awesome. I had that same problem that everyone else is complaining about, with the baby disappearing down the gap between the pillow and my body. I'm a petite mama, and the "tail" of the comma bumps up against whatever back support I'm using and keeps me from pulling the pillow tightly against my belly. If the length of the pillow had been a tad shorter, I think it might have worked out better. As it is, this pillow is useless to me. Not great for propping up newborn December 6, 2016 Kinda thick for our newborn to properly use as a support pillow--he slumps down when I attempt to nestle him on it-- but it works great for nursing. So, it meets 1 of 2 expectations so far. Back to boppy.. April 20, 2016 Too bulky. Every time I try to use, it slips off my lap & baby gets jolted around while I'm trying to hold it in place.. Or she fall in between it & my lap. Honestly I'm using as a knee pillow while I sleep to avoid hip pain.. Works for that. It's fine.. July 12, 2015 It's fine... but I wish I had stuck with a regular boppy pillow. With this one, if you want to change sides you have to flip it so the larger side moves. I thought it would be nice to be able to put the smaller bit behind my back, but it's ended up being a slight inconvenience. Not so good for breastfeeding. May 27, 2014 It's a really nice and well made pillow (good fabric). While I really like this pillow itself, unfortunately no so much when job needs to get done. Pillow works perfect when bottle feeding. However, I wish it would work without much of a hazel while breastfeeding. I have to pretty much put my baby up on my shoulder to switch sides, not a very practical thing at all. I think three stars is well rated in my opinion, just because I bottle feed occasionally and it works great. Not really helpful April 12, 2013 I have this pillow for six months now and have not been able to use it to help with nursing since it is too large for my torso. My baby does not like it either so the only thing it is useful for is back support while I am sitting on the sofa. Between this and its cover, $50 wasted. | 8% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 6% It's a nice pillow but I couldn't figure out how to make ... April 30, 2017 It's a nice pillow but I couldn't figure out how to make the shape work, it was returned because the shape made things more uncomfortable than without. Awkward and huge May 18, 2016 I bought this because I thought it would be helpful to use after my csection, when my belly was tender and it was hard to hold up my newborn, but it was awkward, huge, and didn't help any. I went back to using my My Brest Friend pillow or my Mini Snoogle pillow instead. Returned. I don't really like it, cause it's REALLY bulky April 30, 2016 I don't really like it, cause it's REALLY bulky. Also, it's pretty hot where I live, and the baby doesn't like the pillow cause he gets too warm from it. You can use it as a regular weirdly shaped pillow though :) Not very useful September 14, 2015 Didn't find it to be particularly useful for its purpose. Does not hold baby very well and was just kind of inconvenient. Even more inconvenient as the baby grows. Too big, and didn't like the shape. July 22, 2014 Too big, bulky, and odd shaped. I personally never found this useful and would have much rather had a boppy or another traditionally shaped nursing pillow. It is a good quality though, I'll give it that much. But I definitely regret this purchase. disappointing November 28, 2012 I think the concept is good but this pillow creates a valley where the baby can fall into between you and the pillow, maybe it will work once the baby is much bigger or if your breasts are ginormous, but the baby is too far away from my breasts if he is laying on the flat part of the pillow, I think I will end up getting a "my breast friend" pillow instead | 3% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 3% Awkward fit April 4, 2017 I Don't recommend this pillow at all. It's very awkward to use and my baby falls into the crack between the pillow and me. It is more trouble than it is worth. I wish I could return it. Very firm January 18, 2013 The pillow was too firm and was not very comfortable to use but that may be a personal choice some people might feel comfortable in it horrible for a newborn May 22, 2012 I got this due to the great reviews but have found it to be so much trouble and caused severe breastfeeding frustrations which is frustrating in the critical first week...i kept having to flip it every few minutes to accomodate my newborn...and it is way too bulky.i cant compare it to the boppy as ive never used one.. but i found at the pediatrics a pillow that blew my mind. Look for My Brest Friend recommended by lactation consultants, the back support is a life saver. | 3% There are no reviews yet |
