Used this to change a lightbulb on my staircase. It's been bugging me for ages, and I finally did it. I've also used it around the house to install curtains and such.

This ladder is sturdy and versitile. It can do a lot of stuff.

Perhaps my favorite part is how strong it feels. When I climb up, I don't feel any give. None. For a 230 pound man, it is comforting.

There are only two things that you need to consider when choosing if this ladder is right for you.

First, standing barefoot on this is tantamount to torture. I'm not sure how they did it, but they managed to design these to be incredibly uncomfortable to bare feet. You've been warned.

Second, this is HEAVY. Surprisingly heavy. Look at the weight and lift something comparable. Some of you out there will have a hard time moving it around. Im a tall strong guy, but even I can strain a bit when moving it around.

I'm using the ladder a lot for home renovation projects that I've been doing in my new-to-me house. After purchasing this, I worried that I should have gotten the next size up (15 ft I think?), but this size has proven to be everything that I've needed for my one-story home, with the addition of not being too big or cumbersome to store and carry around. It's probably just at the very minimum that I need though, and my house is not very tall. I've used it in both the a-frame and the straight leaning form. The adjustment mechanisms were hard to use at first, but now that I'm more used to it, or maybe because they've loosened up with use, they are fine.

The model 13 is not 13 feet. It only extends to 11 feet. This is a misprint by Amazon. The back of the pamphlet that comes with the ladder lists the little giant model #s available with some quick states. Also, Model 17 extends to 15 feet. Model 22 extends to 19 feet.

My husband loves the thing so far. Haven't used it on stairs or fully straight but seems to work well at the different levels in the bent positions. My only complaint would be its super heavy. I have a bad back and cannot carry it myself. But it's a metal ladder so it's expected it would be heavy.

This is a great ladder, but I have a couple of issues. Because it was offered a slightly used, I did not expect perfection; however the tape used to hold it together for shipping tended to pull off the instruction labels on the legs. I addition, one of the wheels at the bottom is broken. It works, but will eventually break off I think. Aside from these minor issues, this Little Giant is avery good quality ladder, and I am pleased with it.

Excellent product. A little stiff and difficult to adjust when it first arrived but, once we applied enough force to get the latches to work it could we configured in all of the positions advertised enabling us to change light bulbs in a chandelier over a flight of stairs as well as in a 15 foot high ceiling. Very sturdy, stable and safe. Will serve all our very challenging needs for maintenance around our home.

This is a great all around ladder. I just used it to clean my gutters and didn't have any issues. The ability to scale it down and put it away is really nice for saving space. When locking it into place the two buttons on top are easy to use as well, just push them in and adjust how you need it. The ladder almost feels like it wasn't going to hold my weight though and I am under 200 pounds. I guess having a more sturdy feel to it would make me feel better climbing around on it. I think for the price and the functionality this is a good choice. When using it indoors you can adjust for using it on stairs which was great because I have 2 floors and a hallway between the stairs.

The only reason for 4 stars is that it’s heavy. Glad I got the Alta-One 250 lb rating. The next model up would have added weight and in our house don't have anyone near 250lb. We moved to a condo and it has lots of steps and some high ceilings. This ladder replaced my old wood 6 ft. I needed a ladder that could reach the attic access door. The A frame mode is good to reach the attic access panel and push it to the side. Then convert to the straight mode to access the attic. All this while working in a walk in closet. It is more bulk and weight then my old 6 ft wood but this ladder can do more higher and I only want to have one ladder. Also I did get some grease on my clothes from the ladder. I guess as part of the build process the factory uses some grease to make the adjustable parts move easy. So just a warning you should look the ladder over when extended and maybe wipe off the grease. I do agree that standing on the ladder for any period of time you need hard sole shoes. I did buy the work platform but have not used it. I have used the ladder in the fully extended position to reach and clean a high interior window without an problem.

Due to a hurricane, we used this little number quite a bit after our purchase. It held up okay and didn't have any of the structural failures or finger pinching I read about. However, it's a pretty wobbly and the steps/rungs are very, very narrow. You definitely need someone to hold the bottom steady if you are using it extended. On the plus side, the wheels made it easy to maneuver and it folds up and stores nicely. I will eventually replace it with a stronger one, but it was what we could get in the time we needed it. I gave it three stars because it is just ~ meh.

I expected it to be taller. I'm not sure of the difference between the smaller one as I thought this one would be folded at this height. I cannot get into my attic with this.

great ladders but the dont work with my walk planks there is not enough space to slide them in so i have to put my walk planks on ladder jacks they are nice but it was disappointing they didnt work with my walk planks like my gorilla ladders do

It's okay, for the price I expected a bit more like the work platform. I was also surprised to see you can't make the scaffold without purchasing extra stuff (although I did expect as much from the picture). It will certainly do the job of a 13ft (actually it's 11ft) ladder.

Ladder versatility performs well, but the ladder is very heavy. Also, it bounces or flexs when in the extended configuration (used as an extention ladder). Overall quality is quite good.

It's heavy and awkward to handdle. Also the locking system is not good. I fell on the floor and had to take time off from my work for days. I had buy an another ladder which is safer than this for my project. I will still keep this ladder because it's difficult to return it.

home depot selling similar 22ft.gorilla ladder for $150 and werner ladder for $100. ladder is good priced to high.

When i opened the box one of the orange locks used to extend the ladder came broken, it also has a few minor scratches which i don't care too much about, but the one broken lock makes it more annoying to open, extend and close. I don't like that my only 2 options are to repacked and ship back a big heavy ladder or just be stuck with it. I don't mind keeping it, it still works, although more difficult with the broken lock. However i don't think i should have to pay full price for a defective item.

Seems a bit unstable when fully extended. Quite overpriced in comparison to other brands. 2 dim stars is all i can afford to spare for this item.

Worst ladder ever. This ladder is so heavy and impractical. It is like carrying dead weight. The wheels are worthless because the ladder has to be at the exact angle to the floor to engage them. I have had contractors struggling to move this around. Please go for a lighter weight material.

I bought this brand when it first came out. They used to make quality ladders. Unfortunately, their quality control has much to be desired. This ladder came apart the first day I used it. One of the locking pins came loose. The plastic covers fell off. Nowadays, this ladder resembles more a toy than a construction ladder. It's not a safe ladder, do not buy it.

Arrived broken! Ladder Too complicated to open

Not so good. Safety mechanism broke almost immediately.

Cheaply built. Several of the orange plastic pieces on the steps fell off within the first week. I am afraid to extend the ladder, as it does not appear very sturdy. Not worth the money.
