It's tough to find a vitamin that your kids love. Very happy that I found these smarty-pants vitamins. We were trying a few others with no success. They tasted good and had no nutrition or they tasted like crap. This has vitamins and Omega threes built-in one and has lots nutrition. And, my kids love them. They're a little more expensive than the standard vitamin that we used to get, but when you add in the cost of the omega-3's and DHA i'm actually saving money. I'll be ordering these from now on!

I don't even know where to begin. Our 7 year old son tested off the charts for impulsivity, inattention, and hyperactivity in his ADHD evaluation and was diagnosed with severe ADHD in February of this year. He had struggled in school since kindergarten and received bad reports almost every single day from his teacher this year. He was frustrated because he couldn't control it, and we were distraught and all we wanted to was to do what was best for him. We wanted to help him so badly. I scrambled to find a doctor to set up and appointment with to discuss medication even though I am typically adverse to any medications for our family unless absolutely necessary and always seek natural methods first if possible. We were only a couple of weeks away from putting our son on ADHD pharmaceuticals. In a last ditch effort, I ordered Smarty Pants gummies and prayed with all my heart they would help. We also eliminated ALL artificial food dyes and began to eat as organic and clean as possible. After one week, we already noticed a difference. After 2 weeks, the difference was substantial. We went to his doctor appointment and she noticed such a difference that she was fully supportive of continuing our natural methods and even wrote a letter to support our decision to his school. The good reports started to come back from school and we are now almost 3 months in and we have only received a couple of semi-tough day reports. Overall his teacher has given us positive reports for weeks now and that has NEVER happened. His teacher even told us she no longer felt it necessary to have a support team meeting that they had arranged with several of his teachers and staff to strategize what to do next to help him because he has made so much improvement!!!! He still forgets from time to time and still needs redirection at times, but he was so bad before that he could barely even function and has now gone to fully succeeding and thriving! He is a completely different kid and we are eternally grateful for finding something that has completely changed our son's life and given him the ability to be the incredible kid he has always been. I tell everyone about these and joke that I would literally be their "spokes-mom" if I could because I love them so much.

After having searched for, purchased and tried numerous kinds and brands of vitamens that my teenage son could take daily, I am glad to say my search is over.These vitamens have been the best find for us. I love the fact that they are non-Gmo , which is high on my list when looking at the ingredients in kids vitamens. The bottle includes the necessary vitamen basics kids need without the ingredients and coloring they shouldn't have. I have purchased these several times and will continue to do so. The gummies are not tough to chew, they are soft and the fruit flavors are pleasant, no medicine flavor nor weird aftertaste. My son takes them with no hassle at all.

So far so good with these vitamins, my son used to use the typical Flinstones vitamins, but he would continue to get sick quite often. Ever since Nov 2015, he hasn't caught a whiff of any schools sickness, traveling in Asia, etc. I fully can feel it's not just luck, but with the help of SmartyPants. Plus I am amazed and happy to know it is rare for a multi vitamin, especially for kids, to include Omega 3. Woo! I will start recommending this to my friends who also have children, especially prone to sickness. He's also doing well in school lately, which might be a combination of this vitamins and Focus Factor for Kids.

Let me say right up front, I am an RN who doesn't believe in ADHA medications (or the rate at which they seem to be handed out, like candy, these days) So, when the public school all but demanded our 7 (at the time) y/o grandson be medicated for a disorder he has never been diagnosed with and told us "he may never catch up with his peers," we were both furious and devastated at the same time. We now home school. We noticed his lack of focus even before pulling him from public school. He's "all boy" with plenty of energy and at times has an issue with impulse control. However, he is not hyperactive, aggressive and doesn't fit many of the other symptoms of ADHA. He has since then been diagnosed with a "processing delay" and nothing else. We have always been conscious of his diet, limiting sweets, pop & HFCS, which is pretty tough in processed foods. At first, we tried a regular multi-vit. No change in a years time. Then, we saw the "Focus Formula" vitamins and tried those for three months, with little change. After reading some of the reviews, we decided to try "Smarty Pants." He's been taking them for nearly four months and the change is profound. When even a 9 (nearly 10) y/o says "I can feel the difference when I miss taking them in the morning, Mawmaw" Then CLEARLY they work!! He is more focused with his school work. He is much less improperly impulsive, but retains his active personality. I will buy them two months ahead to be sure we don't run out. Keep in mind, everyone's body chemistry is different, what works for one may not work for another. BUT, that being said, I would absolutely recommend you try these. We have been home schooling for two years Feb. 2015 and he IS caught up with his peers. He was reading at a first grade entry level in the middle of 2nd grade, in spite of ALL of the schools "interventions." OT, ST, & an IEP, (those of you with special needs children will understand what all of those are) and three of the four years of pre-school. In less then two years, he is reading at grade level, scoring "advanced" on every Math assessment and passed his OAA's with a 401!! Granted, home school definitely helped him get here but without him being able to focus, I don't know if we could have gotten him this far. These vitamins absolutely help him. I highly recommend giving them a try. They are a bit expensive but IF they work, no price is too high for his (or your child's) future.

I was searching for a multivitamin for my son with the Omega 3's and all the good stuff in a gummy form and I stumbled across the SmartyPants Vitamin Treat. I saw the good reviews and ordered them for my son. He was almost 20 mo. when he first started taking these vitamins. I was worried about how receptive he would be to eating them, but those concerns went away on the first day. He loves them! I give him 2 in the morning after breakfast and 1 in the evening after dinner. He'd eat them all day if he could. In the beginning I told him it's candy and now he's always calling out for his "nandy" anytime he sees the bottle.Probably just coincidence, but right around the time he started taking these vitamins his speech and flashcard recognition improved and his ability to mimic the words i say improved as well. He's not talking like a 5 year old, but where he was 3 months prior to where he is now is night and day. AGAIN I'm not saying these vitamins made him smarter and his speech and vocab. would've improved anyway, but who knows? Maybe they helped a little.I just ordered my second bottle and I would recommend this product to any parent out there looking for a kid friendly multivitamin.

five months ago, my vitamin D levels were at 25 ng/mL. I started taking the 2000 iu supplements for a few months but my symptoms barely improved. for the past 2 1/2 months, I've been taking the 5000 iu. I just got a blood test. my levels are now doubled -- 51 ng/mL!

Blood results from my doctor came back with a Vitamin D deficiency, so she recommended a Vitamin D3 supplement. Ever since taking this supplement, I've noticed my skin is MUCH more clear and less oily. After doing some research, turns out that Vitamin D deficiency can cause a host of health issues, including acne. 5000 IU is a fairly high dose, so I take it every other day and it works very well for me. Overall, great product and great value. Will continue to order.

After using these I noticed an immediate improvement in my mood and you get so many for the price. The instructions say just have one every other day so the bottle will last over a year, not bad for the benefits.

This really seems to help with my acne breakouts. I'd learned that low vitamin D levels can lead to breakouts, and I'm generally not one to get much sunlight. I initially took this supplement every other day as directed, but I have since been taking it once a week. Vitamin D is not water soluble, so it's possible to get too much and experience negative side effects. I'm cautious, especially with long-term use.

This was a good buy when you look at the total IU count per pill. Unless you're exposed to an hour's worth of sun per day, you are most likely Vitamin D deficient. How much you should take depends on a lot of factors including age, medications, exercise, health, other sources of Vitamin D, etc. It also depends on which study and recommendations you follow. Recommendations from 400IU to 10,000IU are common. My BIL is a big boy and gets next to no sun whatsoever (programmer). His doctors have him on 15,000IU per day. I take Vitamin D twice a day. About 6000 IU at night and another 3000 IU in the morning. Your intake may very.

This is a must have. It did wonders for my studies. If you don't know, D-3 is basically energy from the Sun. You can get this vitamin yourself from just taking sun. Tho, there are many people that work indoors and cant get outside during daylight hours. So, this is a supplement needed to build sells, to help with memory and many other things like thinning your blood and opening you blood vessels for better flow of the cardinal vascular system (heart) and clearing away cholesterol and crap building up in your blood stream. Then again, you could just EAT MORE GREENS and just stop all the madness of taking so many pills. All pills should be extracted from the plant and in cased in a veggie gel cap

I had to take off a star because my daughter said these don't taste great and they do have a slightly off putting smell. With that being said, they do have a good mix of the vitamins I was looking for. I hope to update in the future with how she does with these. I specifically bought these to help with her adhd tenancies.

kids LOVE these and think they are candy. They are super, super sweet and actually taste like candy, so beware.. The lid is not very kid proof........ Hide them because I caught my kid sneaking these thinking they were candy.. But over all my kids love them . I do find they get a tad wild after taking them so I give it to them in the morning before school.

These are exactly the same as the adult version of this vitamin. The only difference is that the serving size on the bottle is 4 for these instead of 6 for an adult. Each individual gummy is exactly the same. The other difference is that the kids version comes in a smaller bottle that costs more per gummy. Do yourself a favor and buy the adult version and give your kids a dosage of 4. Do the math from the nutrition information if you don't believe me.

My 5-year old son liked them at first. I tried them too. Very tasty. Unfortunately, he had them on an empty stomach one day and got nauseous. He has refused to take them ever since, and we had to change to a different product. I saw absolutely no change in behavior. We were on our 2nd bottle when he refused to continue taking these vitamins. Be sure your child eats before taking them. I get nauseous if I take vitamins on an empty stomach or not so full stomach. My son too. Realize it was user error and that he ate them before finishing breakfast but just a heads up.

So, I just received these and wanted to leave a quick initial review. I bought these for my 7 year old who is a picky eater and who I know is missing essential vitamins. This is his direct quote to me, "They don't smell so good...", then he pops one in his mouth, "Holy crap, this tastes great!". Hoping to see a benefit to his focus and "adhd" symptoms, I'll try to post an update in a few weeks. The kid likes them, so far so good.

One of my children loves these vitamins, and one hates them. They are crusted with a "sugar" coating, and one of my kids says it irritates his toungue, and he just doesn't care for the texture.I like the fact that they are palatable to one of my kids, and I have tasted them myself and find them to be good. I wish they had higher quality ingredients like chelated minerals for better absorption. But overall, I feel like these are a decent compromise.

Will know better over the next few weeks. NOW is dependable quality and wanted something natural to help me through the overcast winter months. The very north NorthEast is a tough place in the winter for lack of sun. Was incredibly deficient, according to bloodwork a few years ago, and am hoping this time with a natural alternative to improve my health.

I've been taking these for a week — so far, so good. I know most Americans are deficient in vitamin D. I was also told that it plays a role in balancing feelings/happiness. I've been taking this with Boron, and I feel noticeably better. Fingers crossed it continues to work! I know a week isn't that long, but I'm happy so far. I know Now is a good brand, and I've bought from them before.One heads up: Do NOT let these sit in your mailbox even for a little bit. I picked mine up not long after they were dropped off, and the gel caps were all stuck together. I'm able to pick them apart with a knife, thankfully.

Seems pretty good so far. I take a lot of supplements so it's hard for me to tell what meds have what f affect. Before I was taking another brand my doc gave to me. It was from designs for health. I honestly cannot tell a difference between this and that. Take it for what it's worth.

These are a great price and seem to be of high quality.I noticed that after taking 1 a day for a while I had trouble sleeping at night. I have since stopped taking them and had my levels tested and they were fine. I think I would only start again if I had reason to.I have heard that Vitamin D3 can cause sleeping problems at night. Ironically, I have also heard that deficiency in Vitamin D3 can also cause sleeping problems. So I guess there can be too much of a good thing.

I was instructed to take these by my doctor but to be honest, I don't think I'd know if it works unless I get more blood tests done, which is sooo not happening (I'm not a fan of needles >w< haha)The product itself is what it is though so all I can do is really assume it contains all the good stuff it says it does. Otherwise, the 'pills' look like little tiny gel beads and go down smoothly with an adequate amount of water (normal swallowing amount works just fine), and the only negative-ish comment I have about it is that it has a bit of a 'fishy' smell if you ever take a whiff of it. It doesn't TASTE like fish (though I've never exactly bit the pill apart; only swallowed), but if you just smell it with all the beads in the container, they compound to equate fish-stank.

Since you do not feel vitamin D in your system it's impossible to rate whether or not there's actually any vitamin D in these softgels. However the manufacturer is fairly reputable and I believe that I'm getting a proper dose of vitamin D. But what I do not understand is why they do not always include vitamin K2 with vitamin D3-which is very important to its effectiveness according to the newest research.

A really impressive set of ingredients but I can't convince my happy group that the flavor is the best, unfortunately.

My daughter was super into these for a few months, but then she got burnt out and rejected them. I don't understand it because they're like candy for the love of God. But I think the fact that you need to eat 4 of these in one serving was just too much.We've cycled off of this onto a different brand for now, but I hope we can get back on these since they have Omega 3s and all that good stuff that you normally don't find in a kids vitamin.

After much research I bought these vitamins for my impulsive, distractible 12 year old daughter. When she takes them, I feel they really help her to be more alert and focused. However, I am tired of begging and bribing her to take them. She absolutely hates the taste - will only eat the yellow ones. So until there is a bottle of yellow ones only, we will try a different brand.

Sure theres no HFCS but this is still loaded with sugar, and I dont want to be feeding that to my kids. Also, one serving is FOUR gummies, so the bottle goes crazy fast! I switched to Earth Star Complete Multivitamin Formula and feel much better about giving this to my children.

The concept is really great. I had my 5 year old nephew and 4 year old niece try them along with their mother and myself. My nephew liked the red ones only, my niece didn't like them and us adults thought they were sickening sweet. They had the texture of the fresh gummy drops rolled in sugar granules. The amount that they had to eat daily was way too much to take in, and the sugar they would have gotten was way too much as well.

The kids version is excellent. HOWEVER, don't try to set up monthly purchases - for this or the one for kids. Amazon obviously doesn't keep them in stock. I have waited too long for my bottle and finally cancelled because I have been waiting too long. Get your act together Amazon! UPDATE MAY 2017: so far, so good. We are trying again.

Package is nice and compact but not sure it is helping me nor I know how many softgels I should take everyday. I don't see any difference.

Who knows if this works or not. It's an indispensable element needed for proper cellular and systems function

It is there if you need it. I stopped taking it because it just seems like an unnatural amount of vitamin D

My doctor recommended I take vitamin D after finding that I was low in my bloodwork. I can't honestly say that I have felt any physical change therefore I cannot advocate for it.

I trust the NOW brand and buy many of their products. My D-3 level has not gone up adequately with pills and capsules so I have started using the spray (under tongue) type, on the recommendation of my functional physician.

The gels were all stuck together inside - took a good bit of work and many casualties to get them all broken up and usable.Only happened once (ordered these several times), but sometimes cheaper isn't always better.

They do their job don't get me wrong. My issue is these have a thick layer of sugar on them. My daughter loves eating these because they are so sugary, she calls them candy. I got these because they were rated so well and came highly recommended. I won't be getting these again.

These did not pass the taste test with my 4 year old daughter. She loves gummy vitamins but not these! They really are entirely too sugary and not in a yummy way. I had to try for myself to be sure. I ended up returning these with no issues. I love the ingredient list but they just didn't pass the taste test

Kids like the taste of the vitamins but when I received the bottle it reads that 4 a day should be taken. Just too many my twins went through the bottle very quickly . the 120 is actually a 30 day supply (if you have more than one kid , make that a week or two). Was not impressed.

I bought these for my kids to replace our preferred, but more expensive brand. These are far sweeter than the others and my kids dislike the taste. In fact, I pretty much have to force them to take them. I can't speak for how well they work as getting my kids to take them regularly is a chore.

I was surprised when it came, it says 'Kids' on it since it does not say 'kids' in product title here. I like gummy vitamins because if vitamin supplement taste good I remember to take them but these were too sweet. The gum drop was sweet and then it also has a sugar coating as well. May be just what kids want though but I'm an adult and expected the adult product.

So I decided to try these seeing as I was wanting to promote better Vitamin health through her body. However, she ate them once and will not give them a second chance. The family decided to try one and honestly I can see why she does not like them. They taste like a soft sugar chew with a dab of flavor, the texture is just too crunchy as well.I bought these back in November, so it's way too late for a refund and the bottle is still sitting completely full minus maybe 8 gummies. Luckily they were on sale, plus I had a coupon as well as sub&save.Needless to say I am going back to our original gummies. They may not be organic, but they're still natural with no added garbage.Pros:Great Vitamin content with other added benefits.Company seems to be in the right place.Cons:Texture is granulated.Tastes of pure sugar with a dab of flavor.Wrong way to go with such a healthy gummy.

Check out 36:30 in the new NYTimes/FRONTLINE documentary "Supplements and Safety" (free online). They interview a woman doing the biggest set of randomized clinical trials ever on Vitamin D supplements. While the full results won't come in until 2017, she recommended no more than 4,000 IU per day and explicitly cautioned against 5,000 and 10,000 a day based on what they're seeing so far, which is a U shaped curve where getting too much is just as bad as not enough. Someone in the Q/A on this page even mentioned they take this only every other day to prevent toxicity. That said, I talked to a relative who worked in this industry, and he said this brand is better than the quality you'll get at places like Walgreens or Wal Mart. So maybe downgrade to one of their other sizes.

This product was received in a less than good condition.The softgels were all stuck together in one " glob ".Extremely difficult to get them apart. Would NOT order again!

Pretty strong stuff, my blood test showed a level of D-3 that was well beyond the acceptable range. 2000 IU is probably a better number to purchase.

Years ago, I used to feel an immediate improvement when I took these pills. Now I feel no different. I wonder if they changed the product and made it inferior. I'm going to try a different brand of D3.

Not sure why, but I couldn't use this product after about the first 10 days....My doctor recommended I try taking vitamin D3 for muscle pain since my levels are very low. This product actually made my pain worse and nauseated me....I stopped taking it for a couple of weeks and tried again, and again about 10 day into it, I had the same results.

I received a bottle of 140 capsules, 10,000 IU, instead of 240 5,000 IU with no message indicating the substitution. Not happy with the switch.

This product made my son very sick. He had to go see a doctor because it gave him extreme heart palpitations. It was an absolutely terrifying experience, and we will never use these again. I tried to contact the seller for a refund, but was not able to.

Kids hate them and won't eat them. Say they taste terrible.

Tasted disgusting. My husband and I both tried one after our son spit his out, very uncharacteristically. He lives for gummy anything. These were nasty. Will be returning.

I had high hopes for these vitamins after reading all of the positive reviews, but they taste so awful my 4 year old refuses to take them after trying them for the first time. I thought I would just take them so they wouldn't go to waste, but even I can't stomach them. Yuck!

My son doesn't like the sugary coating on the outside, gave these to a friend to try. I tried one to see and they have a funny after taste to me.

While it may be rated as 5,000 IU it does not digest and metabolize well. I was on another brand and could not find it and tried this and my Vitamin D3 level dropped to lower levels than before I was taking any. Clearly these are ineffective.

Arrived with outer seal mangled. I removed that to see if the inner seal was intact. It was not. Money down the drain.

First time I purchased, this was a great buy. However this time, I took a good look at vitamins and appears to be some kind of dark spot in all of them as if "mold" possibly. Was not in prior vitamins purchased. Very disappointed and looks as though cannot return as past 30 day mark. Sadly these were a backup and opened too late to return. Buyers beware. Check product before consumption.

Don't know if its good or bad.Bad rating is for they put a label ON TOP of the instructions that don't come off.Seems deceptive.
