I've had these a year now, for trimming my and the grandkids' hair. Was using a 15-yr-old longer pair of shears (it is possible to be TOO thrifty, lol) until my little grandson went "Ow!" when the blades grabbed and pulled his hair instead of cutting, poor guy. These are great. They cut nicely, the shorter blades are actually easier to use than my old pair, the holes for my fingers are more comfortable, and the clear plastic shell to store them in keeps the blades unharmed as they slide around in my bathroom drawer between uses. Our hair never gets pulled anymore. Yay! I really, really like them and you can't beat the price.FYI: The lighting in the item photo gives them a golden cast, but the shears are normal steel-gray colored.

I cut my husbands hair and trim mine between salon visits and I really like them. Definitely worth it.

I actually bought four of these: one for myself, two for daughters and one for a grand daughter. As the other reviews said, it's sharp and that in itself is fabulous. Perfect if you need to trim your own bangs or even if you have a doggie that needs a couple snips between groomers. Maybe guys would find a lot of use for this too. Good buy in my opinion.

These are great! I'm a guy and I had my curly hair almost to my chest with spit ends so I bought these and learned online how to do "point cutting" on curly hair and now have it just below my shoulders and it looks really healthy and great! The scissors are high-grade and sharp. If you're going to be cutting your hair yourself make sure you buy shears like these and not use kitchen scissors!

I haven't been to a professional hair stylist in over 4 years, and like to just snip off the dead ends at home. I'd always just used kitchen shears (I know), so I decided to buy a pair that were more suited for the job. Wow. What a difference. These are super sharp and leave my hair looking very healthy!

These scissors are great! They cut through hair like butter. I even use them for trimming my horses mane and tail, and they've stayed sharp despite how thick and coarse the hairs are. Great price and great product.

Use these to trim my own ends every so often from home. They are very sharp and small enough to fit easily into my own hand while trimming ends.

Ever since a particularly bad experience at the salon I decided to take matters into my own hands and cut my hair at home. I realized that my first step was purchasing the actual scissors themselves, so I ordered these based on their approval rating and I am more than satisfied. They are extremely sharp and easy to handle, and compared to some of the other ones I had purchased they were a lot more manageable! It's been a couple of months since I bought them and they have saved me so much money, and HAIR. I mostly cut my hair when it starts getting split ends or for a light dusting here and there. Overall a great purchase.

I've wanted to cut my own hair forever to save money, but I've always been so afraid. Finally, weeks of scheduling conflicts with my salon, and desperation for a haircut drove me to the breaking point, and I decided to go for it!I'm very much a DIY person with all things beauty, so I really don't know what took me so long to cut my own hair; after using these, and following farahdhukai's video on youtube to the T, I can honestly say I will never be going back to a salon. Not that I didn't love my salon- I did! But I usually spent about $65 per cut, and the cost of all my materials was less than half that. I also know myself well, and know exactly what I want from a haircut, so after following Farah's video, I was able to trim and edit to my liking. I'm in college, and at such a high price for a cut, I could only afford to get it done every 3 monthes, and my hair was miserable by then.I have very long, thin blonde hair that's prone to breakage, and is easily weighed down by products. I know typically you wouldn't use thinning shears on fine hair, but it worked out extremely well for me- weight is the enemy of thin hair!! Good value. I'm new to cutting my own hair. These scissors are extremely sharp. I am very impressed with this pair.

I am happy with these scissors... Better than those you find in department stores at this price range. These were sharp out of the package and made cutting hair so much easier than struggling with a cheap pair. I never realized the difference until I bought these. I have noticed the rubber ring come out of the thumb hole, but its only a minor hassle as it pops back in.

Pretty good. Feel like really good quality. Unfortunately, I dropped them and now the blades certainly don't meet the same way. They also click. Other reviews were warning of how sharpt they are. I don't think they are any sharper than any other pair of scissors I've had. I'm not a hair stylist so maybe in their uses they are. I say don't let them scare but just to be safe .... Don't run with them in your hand.

I use them for beard trimming and they work pretty well. Pretty decent quality and they were nice and sharp. Would buy them again.

These have an awful smell to them that is still fading, but I kept them because they're THE sharpest scissors I've ever used. As someone who cuts their hair at home, I can't be messing around with dull scissors.But seriously, the smell is rank. Took off a star for it.

the screw holding the blades together fell out... but i was able to get a screwdriver and reinsert. the blades themselves are very sharp and seem good quality for the price.

I lost my scissors and needed a quick and cheap replacement. These aren't y favorite, but they work. They're sharp, but not as smooth and easy to use. They're fine for now though.

These scissors are pretty small. But for what I need - trimming my bangs and my husband's hair - they work. They are very sharp right out of the package. I don't know how they'll hold up over the course of years, but the first few weeks out of the package they have been good.

I was a bit disappointed in theses scissors, as the middle was a bit bowed to where it was hard to make it cut. I would probably spend a bit more for a better pair of scissors next time.

These feel "grabby" when trying to cut my hair. They seem sharp enough, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

I purchased these scissors to trim my dogs hair. I've used similar scissors for awhile and have had no problems. These work fine but are not that sharp. I usually have to cut with a certain angle for them to work well. Overall, for the price, they are okay but the quality is not the best.

The scissors are sharp and do the job, but the handles are so small and difficult to fit your fingers through...they are a bit uncomfortable. Maybe this is normal with this type of scissors, I don't know. Otherwise these are the trusted Goody brand and they'll get the job done if you know how to use them correctly.

Bought this as replacement for a not so sharp hair scissor I bought previously. This turned out to be less sharp. Gave it away.

Scissors are not that sharp and pull hair when you try to cut with them.

When they worked they were fine, but these shears did not last a month. The very small rivet was stripped.

The scissors cut fine in the middle of the blade. However, the tips of the blades don't come together right and they don't cut the hair -- they just shred it. I tried adjusting the screw and that didn't help at all.These are not great scissors if you want to cut with precision.

Disappointing. Our older cheap utility shears cut and trim better. Semi useless shears, loosened up immediately, tightened several times and they just loosened every time. Can't finely trim hair with tip of shears even when tightened although shears seem sharp.

These don't seem to be as sharp as most hair cutting shears. Cheaply made too.

These cutting shears were no good. After snipping of a couple bits of my hair, the screw that held together the two bladess came unloose and wouldn't tighten up again.

I purchased these Goody 6.5" Hair Cutting Scissors to do minor trimming on my own hair and I was disappointed to find they were dull, too dull to trim bangs. I decided to keep them and use them for household purposes but within a week the screw came out and I had to put them back together. I wouldn't recommend this product due to quality.

Had to get sharpened after only using about 4-5 times. not sharp at all. protective covers and finger rest kept come off. I didn't bother with the covers after the first couple times but I had to continually screw the rest back in until i finally lost it all together. Definitely a very cheap set of sheers.

The WORST scissors ever for cutting hair . I am incredibly disappointed - these are dull and catch in my hair nearly every cut and require a lot of snipping to get every strand. It is a big time waster. The worst bit is that I purchase a second pair right after the first so I could have one at another house but I hadn't actually used them at the time so now I am stuck with two pairs for no good reason. I recommend looking elsewhere for a quality pair of scissors.

Item is not what is shown. The picture shows a smooth pointed scissors & I received a blunt "hair thinning" scissors. I would love to contact the seller, but I can't find an option for that

Just awful. Not sharp, looks nothing like the picture. I don't know how this has good reviews. Don't bother.

These might be ok to trim a strand of 3 hairs, but beyond that they cannot handle a normal haircut. If you want a choppy haircut buy these.

These are terrible! I usually like goody products and the cutting sheers are really pretty nice. But these.... Do not waste your money... They do not cut hair, just shred and tear. (My hair is on the normal to fine side.)

I have been using another pair of thinning shears for years to trim my bangs. They always thin my bangs very well. They finally broke and I ordered these because Goody products are generally well-made.Boy, was I wrong in this case! These are so dull they would not cut my hair. The blade is very thick and extremely blunt. I couldn't manage to get them to cut even a little bit. I will be looking for better shears. I'm not positive but I believe my last pair were made by Conair and they worked like a dream.

The very first time I used these the screw fell out while cutting my sons hair. I tightened but kept coming loose. I was being cheap and bought these but I will be going with more expensive ones next time.

Broke after a couple of uses. The picture makes it look like the bolt holding them together is metal, but it's plastic. It's a shame since the blades looked fine.

Not sure what to think. Guess you get what you pay for? They seemed rather dull. I've been more impressed with Sally Hansen scissors at the same price. Only problem is they don't sell SH anymore.
