I love these! I cut my own hair and have now cut a number of other people's hair with these. When I have guests over and they happen to see these in the closet I always get asked a million questions (I'm not usually the one you'd think of when it comes to hair because I've had the same hair cut since I was 12, at one point I had bangs but that was the extent of my change up!). And for some reason I apparently have a lot of friends that like to go through my closets. I've had a few friends borrow them and I've had a few friends have me cut their hair with them. They have definitely been used a lot! And I could not be happier with my purchase!

I'm by no means a professional but I do cut my sons hair. I used to use scissors from the store that said they were for cutting hair or ones that came with the electric buzzer kits. With 4 kids that all have very thick hair I'm beyond impressed with the ease of cutting and styling that this set can do! The ease of using these allowed me to give my 18yr old an identical style that he would've paid almost $20 for at the salon. His brothers all thought he had a professional cut! Now they are all asking for me to cut their hair. Very well made, they cut through hair like butter decreasing the time it would've taken for me to do it. I will absolutely be purchasing another set when the time comes

Before purchasing this item I read the reviews on Amazon and the only negative ones were about the small size of the fingerholes in both the scissors and the thinning shears. Since I have very small fingers I went ahead with the purchase and I'm glad I did. This is a great set, very good quality, very sharp, and perfect for what I needed. And for those people with larger fingers, there is a blue plastic insert in the fingerhole that is removeable. When these are removed, the size of each fingerhole is a ring size 9. With the insert, the size of each fingerhole is a ring size 6.5.

I cut my husband and son's hair regularly. They both have said these are the best scissors I have used on their hair. Great price too

The great thing about doing your own haircuts is it grows back and next time it's better. Yeah, sure you can do it. Get them.

Save yourself money by cutting kids hairs at home (if you know what you are doing). You have been looking for that ideal set which is very sharp and precise but not expensive. Well, now you got it. This is a professional barbers’ set. It is sharp and it is accurate.

Important Point

Do not sharpen the set with electronic or manual sharpening tools. Do not use sharpening stones. These tools will dull them. The set is already very sharp and it will stay sharp for a long time. In the future if you must sharpen them, then sharpen them with sharpening leather.

Couldn't ask for a better price for these barber scissors, I usually spend twice as much for just a single pair of scissors. This are great.

I got these mainly to thin out a recent cut that I got where it was just too thick on the bottom and they work great! I was so nervous to cut my own hair but with the thinning shears theres really no messing it up. Just grab the hair in small sections and start cutting half way down and keep cutting as you pull the scissors to the end of your hair. It will pull the hair a little so make sure you hair is combed, then comb it after you pull the scissors away as there will be more hair to fall. I also used the small scissors to trim my bangs and create a frame for my face and its so easy. Just point the scissors up at an angle so the hair is not cut straight across as this will create a choppy look. Do a little at a time as you can always take some away but you cannot bring it back!

Was not to sure about these for their price, still went ahead and bought it to use for when start schooling for barber. They actually cut pretty good, still new so would have to wait a bit to see how long it last on being sharp. Will post another update of these later. So far so good and enjoy these shears. . .

Excellent for the price and purpose I wanted them for. I just do touch up type trims, no hair cuts. I do not have suggestions for every day or stylist type use.

I'm not a professional by any means but these work well for the little I know. Small finger holes and one of the screws are starting to loosen on one of the pairs...I really bought it for the thinning set but this works perfectly

Super sharp out of the box. Very great pair of scissors and thinning shears. I use them all the time and I have had them for a year. Great at-home hair cutting shears.

I have been trimming my own hair for years, but I don't have any professional training, and I am satisfied with this hair cutting set. The main appeal to me is the fact that it comes with thinning shears as well as regular shears. I have very thick, fast-growing hair in a pixie cut, so frequent thinning and trimming is necessary, but I can't afford to go to the salon every month. I used both pairs of shears on my hair tonight and found them to be adequately sharp, a good size and weight, and effective. The case they come in is nice, too. I am taking off one star because they do seem like they could be a little bit sharper, but for the price I'm still quite happy with my purchase.

So far so good. Both scissors have cut well and performed as expected. The size of the finger holds were not a problem for me. The scissors also come with the removable blue inserts, which I think would solve a lot of people's gripe about the small finger holds. For reference, you can almost pass a quarter through the finger holes with the inserts removed.

My only concern was that someone had used my scissors before. The pair of scissors I received was definitely not new; it is slightly worn from use (scuffed, etc.) and may have been a refurbished pair of scissors. Disappointing but as someone who cares more about functionality, I only docked one star as the scissors were still in good working order and maintained a relatively sharp edge.

Kind of dull but I may have been expected to sharpen on delivery. Nice set, just not super sharp.

They're certainly not perfect, but they're great for the price. The ones on the left aren't very sharp (or maybe I just don't know how to use them. idk), I haven't tried the middle ones yet, and the small ones are super sharp and cut perfectly. The handles are a good size for someone like me, but after using them for a while, they do get uncomfortable. Though that's after hours of use, so it's expected from any scissors.

Great! Except for the fact it was missing one of the scissors (the small one). I only needed the bigger two, so it only loses one star, but just something to keep in mind if you're thinking of buying these. They're still a pretty solid deal either way, and the blades on the scissors I do have seem tough and sharp, like they're supposed to be, so what's they're is good just the same

The two trimming shears are fairly good quality. Not German quality, but pretty good. The thinning shears, however, need better quality control. The pair I received were twisted, making them very notchy to use. Trying to straighten them is an exercise in futility as you have to adjust each tooth individually. Overall, I really can't complain about a $16 set of shears, but they could use a little work to be a knockout sale.

I like the case, but it's a little small and not durable. Moreover, the thinning shears are dull and hard to use.

These seem like middle of the road as far as the quality goes. Nice enough for the price but I'm sure there are better options for a little more money. The regular shears don't close all the way which was a little frustrating, and the comb is just a bit too long for the case, so the pointed end sticks through the fabric someimes.

Arrived on time, but the tips of the scissors broke off on the first day. Otherwise ok set and cuts well.

You get what you pay for. Fine for kids haircuts, but they are a bit clunky and not very sharp like I had expected. They can't be used on thick hair.

Decent shears but have very tiny finger holes.I am a big guy and can barely get my finger tips in the holes.They seem to be a little heavy also.
They appear well made just not sure I can use them

Decent for inexpensive price

Nice to have 3 different scissors, but the quality is not there. The price was good, but the quality was not. These will be used for all purpose scissors, probably not for hair.

I am sure they are good quality but they were not sharpened or are very dull.

I just received mine today and it looks ok. The sheers seems sharp. The description says you'd get a free gift in the shipment but there was none.Since Im not a professional hair cutter I was disappointed that theres no care instruction included. I always like to know how to care for my stuff. I guess I will have to consult my friend google for that part.I will update my post after my first use.For those who have used theirs, any feedback how long before it becomes dull?

The Barber Shears are great, very sharp and cut well but the salon shears are very very dull. If that is something you are wanting in the set definitely go with a different set, luckily I didn't need the thinning shears. Also the finger holes are pretty small, if you have larger fingers these would probably be very uncomfortable

These are more like hair manglers than professional shears. Even after sharpening and adjusting they continue to tear instead of cut. It's not the best look.

I have large hands. Unless your a small chick these ain't gonna fit. Plus the cloth and case were not good quality.

Holes were too small to even just use fingertips. To top it off they were full. The case itself is wonderful. Bought new scissors at a beauty supply store & kept this order just for the case.

not sharp at all, they pull hair as you "cut" .. They are thick and heavy. I rather use the scissors that come with my kid's hair clippers they work way better. The finger holes are fine if you remove the blue plastic things. They didn't hurt my fingers and are rather comfortable there. Too bad everything else stinks. (Oh and the comb is the cheapest plastic you could find, they arent the black colored ones you see on this photo. I got a yellow brush.) got 2 stars because the case is ok and the cloths cleaned my sunglasses nicely.

Two pairs of scissors are OK but don't work as well as I had hoped. The small scissors are bent at the end a surprise for steel scissors, so this pair doesn't cut hair very well at all. I ended up tossing the small pair after the first use. I wish I hadn't wasted the money, and got something locally. I would have returned but more trouble then it is worth.

The two regular scissors are jammed and unusuable. I'm giving two stars because he thinning shears seem like they should work, although they have way more resistance than they should.Also, the product didn't include those three pouches. Two of them arrived in mismatched, worn out pouches, and the third was in a 1 gallon ziplock bag.

Scissors are just ok. Do not cut with ease and do not seem to be new. Can not hardly open and close the thinning scissors. Would not purchase again.

The haircut are bend and they block when I want to use (las tijeras estan dobladas y se traban cuando quiero usarlas), no llegan a cerrar, tengo que hacer mucha fuerza para lograrlo (I need to make a lot of presure for wining). The straight scissors worked ok, meaning as expected. Nothing special. The thinning scissors got stuck (it opens but stays open halfway - have to use the other hand to pry it apart so it will close) and was useless. I though of returning it but didn't want to deal with the inconvenience.

Through the first & second cut, they worked just fine! Not amazing, but they did the job on my two year olds' hair. But they dulled after two small haircuts on fine hair. They are sort of made for small hands also, as they were tight on my aberage size female hands.

when I had received this set, the scissors and thinning shears where both dull and do not cut hair. I was highly disappointed and wont order again.

The comb it comes with is garbage, I threw it away. The case in nice and professional looking. The thinning sheers work; they blend well. But, neither pair of sheers are sharp at all! They are not worth the price, at all.

Received an item that was clearly used. The case had crust on it. The thinners had black hair specs in between the shears. And they gave two thinners instead of one scissor and one thinner. Comb was dirty. Gross

Will get the job done but is lacking any quality. Blue plastic inserts are junk and fall out. Blue rubber bump stop disintegrates with the first hair cut. ..but they do provide you with two replacements. It looks like the tensioner knob is anodized but it's not, just painted with blue paint that is already chipped half off when received. Not very sharp, had trouble cuting wet hair on a 5yr old. Case won't last long, poorly sewn. Spend more and find a better one. This is not worth it.

Somewhat dull when received. Felt like I was cutting hair with sand in the blades. Poor quality.

The hair cutter is a pain in the ass to use. So heavy that i have no idea how people manoeuvre it. I bought someoting $5 in China and it's easy to cut and light and flexible. Too bad scissors can't be shipped from China out to the international.

Terrible! These are so poor quality that they don't even open and close smoothly. There were nicks in the blades. I wouldn't dare use these on hair for fear that the blades would damage the hair. I am sending them back. I guess I should have guessed that this price was too good to be true for decent hair scissors. I'll find a better pair of scissors even though I'll probably pay more than this just for one pair--it's worth it.
