Great Sweeper
July 24, 2017
Works extremely well and keeps our playroom clean! We took off the top three poles and only used two so our toddler can "vacuum" her toy room. It cleans up crumbs and various debris. We tried it on the carpet where our dogs are and it cleaned it, but also had to clean the bristles extremely well before using it again otherwise hair would be left on the carpet. Our toddler loves using it and is easy to push and very easy to clean/empty.
Great! BUT Only One Brush
October 27, 2016
This is a great product, BUT it only has one brush. You would not believe all the stuff it picks up off a three dimensional tile floor. Having said that I am dissapointed in myself for not spending a bit more and getting two brushes. I am sure it would make it much easier to get close to walls and into corners. Works wonderfully for traffic areas. For the price it is great. Just keep in mind it is a push/pull single brush model with two metal catch bins that empty easily. If that is what you are looking for, and want to pick up everything from hair to dirt pieces, this is the model for you.
Pleased with quality

I've been using a rechargeable sweeper for a few years and it was always a pain. When the battery pack completely died, instead of buying a new one, decided to try out something that didn't require battery or electricity. Very glad I did! The sweeper worked well on the carpet which has a slightly raised nap. Didn't have any trouble picking up crumbs and paper bits and worked great on the bathroom throw rugs. Also worked well on the kitchen linoleum and is easy to empty. It's great to use something lightweight, but sturdy, instead of lugging out the big vacuum for spot cleaning. I'll be using it about every other day so I'll post again after using for a few months to see how it's holding up. FYI, I live in a small apartment, not a house.
No More Slobs...
October 26, 2015
At my place of employment, our work group loves to share an urn full of "Salted Peanuts in the Shell". These treats are enjoyed by all - BUT they leave behind an untidy mess of peanut skins from the task of shelling the nuts. The BISSELL Swift Sweeper was the easy, convenient answer to remedy the untidiness of our work area. This wonderful little sweeper has proven to be a most effective tool at cleaning up our peanut debris. We no longer look like the slobs we are!!
GLAD I BOUGHT IT
June 23, 2013
My wife was constantly dragging out the vacuum to tidy up the house, and I remembered that long ago I had bought a carpet sweeper which worked pretty well. So I went looking in Amazon, and checked out reviews of the various sweepers I found for sale there. While most all gave the sweepers' performance on carpet high marks, they did not fare so well on bare floors. The one exception I found was the Bissell Swift Sweep, Model 2201B, which got good grades even on bare floors. I took a chance and ordered one. It arrived a scant 3 days later; I assembled it easily, and gave it a try. It got little pieces of lint, dust bunnies, and just plain dust, easily and quickly. Of course it worked great on our carpets. My wife loves it, and so do I. One feature I liked is that the handle pieces are threaded, so that once you thread them together, the pieces won't fall apart. It doesn't take the place of a vacuum cleaning, but it sure works great to police the linty areas of your home between cleanings. I highly recommend this product.
Great Little Sweeper
June 12, 2010
I'm a low-voltage contractor. I usually work in office buildings where I remove and replace ceiling tiles in order to install cable. I bought this little gem to clean up the crumbs and small debris that always fall from the ceiling tiles. WHAT A GREAT PERFORMER!! It does exactly what I wanted it to do! And its QUIET and dustless, which is very important around offices where the phone is in use or meetings are being held. Now, don't expect too much! This IS NOT A VACUUM!!! It's a push-around spinning brush with a pan to catch what it picks up. It's GOOD ENOUGH to get the floor looking good until the night crew comes through with the real vacuums. I guess that means that it's a terrific little "light cleaner". Don't expect it to get up dust (like spilled flour) or dog hair.As to the persistent gripes that the handle falls apart, the handle is shipped in 4 segments in order to keep the box small. The ends are tapered so that they fit into one another, with a rubber cap on the top and a female threaded pocket at the bottom to attach to the sweeper's yolk. The first time I put them together, they separated after a short period. I then smacked the the top of the handle very hard (downward) against the floor and they have never budged again! If the problem ever comes back, I'm confident that 4 drops of super-glue would do the trick. It works best on medium pile carpet, can be a little harder to push on thick carpet, and performs "OK" on bare floors. In summary:-Handle is fine if you possess any amount of common sense-Works best on smaller to medium debris (crumbs, etc.)-Works best on medium weight carpet-Is NOT going to replace a real vacuum, but for what it does, its great! As always, my Amazon order came quickly!

Highly recommend it
September 15, 2017
After reading reviews of similar floor sweepers, I was persuaded this was the best choice -- and I'm really pleased with it. Easy to assemble, sturdy, good value, and it sweeps both hardwood floors and carpets well. Perfect for quick touch-ups without the hassle of a vacuum.

The screw-in handle (better than other models) comes in segments, so I left one out and it's the perfect size for my kids. It's a great way to introduce them to some basic chores around the house -- the floor vacuum is far to heavy for them, but they find this one fun.

All around, I wound definitely recommend this model.

I've used a Bissell carpet sweeper since the 70's. It never stopped working it just got so ugly I couldn't stand it anymore! The new one works as well as the old one though much lighter. I wouldn't trade it for all the Swiffers in the world! If my old one still looked as good as the one in my picture I'd still be using it!
Works really well
February 13, 2017
I was really hesitant to buy this sweeper. I can remember being little and playing with one and it worked well. I liked the idea you can grab it and use it quickly and quietly. This sweeper works very well on low pile carpets, throw rugs, wood floors and uneven slate floors. It works better than I expected. I have 3 big dogs and 3 big kids. This works well for helping clean up after all of them. Highly recommended.
Good on small grit
October 29, 2016
I got this after doing a lot of research on these manual sweepers, and I no longer have to drag the electric around. It picks up more than I thought it might. Good on small grit, dust, cat hair; works well on bare floors and carpet. Sometimes you have to go back and forth over something to get it, but the sweeper is so light it doesn't matter.
Great on carpet, not too bad on tile, superglue the handle topper
July 23, 2015
I had read some reviews for this, and they were all accurate: works great on carpet, works not too bad on tile-like hard floors, and the top handle part does not stay on. I super glued the top handle part down, and it has not been a problem since. I have two cats that shed like CRAZY, so I needed a product that was not as scary to them as a loud electric vacuum (cats shed more when they are scared, so loud vacuuming was counterproductive), and this natural sweep came through. The cats do not mind it at all, and it does a great job picking up all their hair AND their cat litter pieces off my carpeted apartment. We do not have much tile, but the small bathroom section that does seemed to be fine as well. Just superglue the handle topper down before you even begin, it saves a lot of frustration in the end

Pooper Picker Upper

Great quality product! This is what you see cleaning staffs use in commercial businesses such as movie theaters etc. I use it to clean up my dogs droppings. I live in a four-story condo building on the top floor, so my 5 pound Minpin uses one of our balconies for her business. So something like this is a requirement for me and my little muchkin :)
Easy to assemble -- just make sure to put the ...
June 29, 2017
As everyone says, the edge is flat so very little dust remains on the floor. Easy to assemble -- just make sure to put the handle yoke in the right way so the locking ridge faces the bit of plastic it locks onto, and so the comb (bumpy edge) faces the open side of the pan. That, by the way, is a nifty feature. With my old broom, dust bunnies would get entangled with the bristles and I'd have to pull them out by hand. Comb the broom and the dust bunnies drop into the pan. The locking mechanism is stiff enough (new) so that the dust pan can stand up by itself.Nice and roomy and appears to be very sturdy. I like the way the handles assemble -- it would be great if they sold a middle section for people who would like either of the handles to be larger. I'd pay a couple bucks. But best of all, Tinker the cat fell in love with the broom. The bristles must be just the right stiffness for assisted cat grooming, when I'm done sweeping up after him.
Now that said it is a great deal for a dust pan very heavy dust pan ...
March 28, 2017
First let me point out for those complaining about the height of the broom...Yes it is short, but this is not a broom for sweeping a kitchen just for sweeping stuff into the dust pan. They are supposed to be short that way you can hold both pieces in each hand. Now that said it is a great deal for a dust pan very heavy dust pan and broom is a good stiff bristled brush. Does the job it is supposed to.
Best Broom & Dustpan I Have Ever Owned
June 18, 2016
I love this broom & dustpan. When you sweep dust in the pan it leaves no dirt or dust line. The handle for the dustpan has a sturdy catch that will keep it upright and a clip that the dust broom can snap into. There is also a serrated edge on the top of the dustpan that allows you to scrape the broom clean as well. The quality is great and well made. I really don't understand a lot of the negative comments???!!!Too Short? The title and description plainly states it is 3 feet....that is the readers fault...not the broom nor the dustpan.Too Heavy? It is a great quality product. Would you rather have a lightweight plastic that might break during use?No Instructions Included? If you need instructions to put this together.....well I won't say what I am thinking....but I will say......It's not rocket science people!Just because you did not read the description correctly, why do you blame it on the broom and dustpan? That is not a fair review for the product. For the quality and price......you cannot beat it.Guess it all goes back to the old saying "She/He Wouldn't Be Happy If You Hung Them With A New Rope"!! ;-)
Nice Concept, Unique Features.
March 17, 2016
Dustpan seems pretty sturdy and the edge is flat and part of the bottom of the dustpan, there is no rubber blade that some of the dustpans have. I had one of the other pans that had the rubber edge and after a while they get damaged or fall off. This front edge slope is very shallow so it literally left no dust. You know how you have to keep sliding the dustpan back because the edge ultimately catches some dirt and it leaves a line of dirt. I found this not to have that issue, maybe its the all one piece,or the low slope angle or both but very impressed with the ability of dust and dirt to make it in the pan without that inevitable line if dust that seems to remain.. I first seen the broom had a center hole and one offset. After installing the pole in the offset hole I quickly realized what an ingenious idea. Because this is a sweeping dust broom the natural sweeping motion is not having the handle straight up and down but on an angle. For the complaints that the handle is too short, first one can go buy ANY painters extension pole and problem solved, but the reality is this broom isn't specifically made for sweeping an entire room or garage floor as you would use a typical broom, its generally more for spot sweeping. Personally for sweeping my living rooms wood floor I like to use my rubber bristle broom to put dust, pet hair into a pile. I then use this broom and sweep it into the pan. Only because the sweeping motion of the rubber bristle broom is awkward to sweep into a dustpan, so this little broom does just what I need it for. If you are looking for a broom to sweep a entire room or garage floor look elsewhere, or get a longer extension. The handle for the dustpan has a sturdy catch that will keep it upright and a clip that the dust broom can snap into. There is also a serrated edge on the top of the dustpan that allows you to scrape the broom clean as well.
Works fine for me!
January 6, 2015
I'm in a wheelchair and it is difficult to bend down to use a regular dustpan. This really fits the bill. It is the perfect height and the broom has 2 places to attach the handle. One straight and the other at a slight angle. The angle position works great for me. The bottom of the dust bin is flat and straight and seals nicely against the floor so all the dust goes in the pan and there are no annoying 'crumbs' left on the floor. I was worried when I first saw the broom that it would not sweep 'fine' dust, but it does very well. Bottom line, this works for me!

Mom's loves this sweeper.
October 29, 2016
Bought this as a gift for my 93yr old mom. Its the only cleaning device she can use and it works great for her. Lightweight and it can be stored in a small closet. Its putting smiles on my Mom's face and now Im daughter #1. No plugging in and easy to clean.
Works well and is quiet
May 3, 2013
This works fine for my use. I use it to sweep up a hard tile floor and area rugs. Superb job on the rugs, good on the floor. Get hair and dry mud/sand up easily. It is NOT meant for deep-shag carpeting. I'd highly recommend it for dorm rooms or small apartments. I live in a military dorm where everyone works different shifts, so vacuuming is a cruel way to wake up your neighbors. This is the way to go. I don't know why the exchange on base doesn't sell them.My only complaint is the clearance for the collection bins. They come too low and prevent sweeping up of larger dry droppings like popcorn kernels. I've had these in the past, and I will say the quality has gone down over the years, but they are still worth having.NOTE: The handle bail on this model does NOT hold the middle roller in. That may make it better than some of the similar models, I'm not sure.I don't know how people are using this and having it be noisy. It is no noisier than sweeping with a broom.
It's a $25 sweeper for crying out loud
September 25, 2012
There are a lot of reviews on here about the handle coming apart. Yes it does seem to work itself loose in the short week that I've owned it. But for Pete's sake it's a $25 push sweeper. If you're looking for a really durable product get a Dyson or a Hoover power vacuum. You should expect to get what you pay for. That aside, this thing does a great job of picking up the smallest debris around your house. Don't feel like getting out your vacuum and plugging it in then connecting needed adapter to get to that hard to reach spot? Just pull this out of the closet instead and knock out that crumb mess in your living room. This little vacuum gets those easy jobs that you don't want to go to a lot of effort for. Get it. If you've got an issue with the vacuum handle, take the suggestions on here and add some electrical tape or some carpet tape to hold it on. I just remember to check the handle whenever I get it out of the closet.
Smaller than expected but works well
June 18, 2012
Like previous posters, I remember my grandmother's very old, heavy Bissell carpet sweeper. She never had a vacuum cleaner; the old Bissell sweeper was good enough. This is nothing like that one. And I, too, have the same complaint about the handle: it just will not stay once you put it together. I used duct tape to secure it. This sweeper is a LOT smaller than I expected -- even smaller than the one I'm replacing.Given all that, I am still pleasantly surprised by how well it picks up debris. I used it to pick up the dirt that was all over my balcony after potting plants, and it did a great job! It also got up a lot cat hair from my carpet. I also like that it opens for cleaning by pushing the bottom instead of pulling. And, it doesn't seem to have the rubber covering on the wheels that my previous sweeper had. (I had to replace that one -- a Casabella -- specifically because 3 of the 4 rubber coverings fell off at once!) And, I do like that it is red.All in all, I would say that it's a good sweeper, but I wouldn't use it to clean large areas because of its small size.
Good sweeper, but room for improvement
November 30, 2011
This sweeper works well for me on area rugs and hardwood floors alike. It picks up a variety of messes, from dirt to cat hair to toddler snacks to bits of paper. It is easy to empty the dual trays, and it holds a fair amount of dirt in the trays. However, it doesn't work as well on super shaggy rugs, which really isn't surprising--it's hard to get anything out of really long pile. My son has a novelty rug with extra long pile; he has to shake it out and then use the sweeper on the wood floor to pick up the dirt. I don't think there is a lot that can be done to improve that, though, since even vacuums have trouble with rugs of that sort.My biggest problem with the sweeper is the handle. It simply will not stay together. It ships in sections that you then push together. But no matter how hard I shove the sections together, they eventually fall apart--often when carrying it to be emptied, dumping dirt all over the floor. If it were threaded, I think it would hold together much better than just popping the sections into place. I would definitely like to see that improvement. Other than the handle falling apart at inconvenient times, it works well. I would buy it again (maybe along with a tube of super glue!).
Saves a lot of hassle with a few little changes
September 14, 2010
I bought this hoping it would be adequate for picking up things off of our hard floors. It's easiest for me to do housework when my youngest is napping and I hate to drag out the Dyson and risk waking him. Initially I wasn't very impressed with this product but after using it for about a month, I've figured out the little quirks and am really enjoying having it.The rollers don't rotate at the same rate as the wheels. Taking the relatively short strokes with it as I had been wasn't getting the rollers to rotate enough to pick up much of anything. When I realized I needed to make longer strides with it efficiency improved considerably. Also, I've learned that if I have something big to pick up, it's easiest to just center the sweeper over whatever I want to pick up and then start sweeping. The rollers push it into the pan right away without pushing it all over the floor first so it makes it really easy to clean up the larger bits that it seemed weren't coming up when I used it before. With two very simple modifications, I've pretty much fallen in love with this product. It does exactly what I expected it to do and it's so easy to use. I can pull it out and sweep all my hard floors as often as I like with no hassle. I don't even have to touch the crumbs and hair, which I love. I've found that a few of our door mats actually come cleaner by using this than by vacuuming them. This makes cleaning up after 2 dogs and 4 kids almost effortless - quick and easy enough to stay on top of things without the stress. And that really can't be understated.I haven't had any issues with the handle falling apart and I've been using it daily for about a month. I did jam it rather hard when I first assembled it, hard enough to break the little plastic cup at the handle end, actually. I really should've saved that part for last but I wasn't thinking. Still, I carry it by the handle all the time and it's still sturdy. If it breaks it's nothing duct tape can't fix. (Is there anything duct tape can't fix?)

A sweeper that works.
August 14, 2016
This sweeper Dose The Job.....I have out door green carpet in my 25'x30' yard and sweeping leaves and small vegetation with a broom is the norm, but small crumbs are hard to get up with the broom at times....make a pile pick it up....went to the movie theater with the wife and saw the staff using a sweeper like this to pick up popcorn and crumbs off the floor, did my research and ordered this bisell and it works great. it picks up dry leaves and fills up the two conpartments pretty well with small hard to get up crumbs...this sweeper is very lite so if you have some wavey areas on your artificial turf you may have to apply a little pressure on the handle, this is not for lazy people....otherwise use an electric canaster vac and beware that the out door rug is not wet....".that can be expensive to replace"
It does a great job on the carpet pickup up loose animal hair ...
February 29, 2016
My wife and I purchased this after having a baby. We have a long haired dog and cat and our new crawler loves nothing more then to crawl around and pickup hair balls. My wife was having trouble finding time to vacuum as our baby also happens to be a light sleeper, so we looked into the carpet sweeper option, and purchased the Bissell Natural Sweep. It does a great job on the carpet pickup up loose animal hair and hair clumps. It's easy to use, lightweight, but built well enough it doesn't feel cheap. We can quickly use it while the baby is napping or in another room to catch up between time to vacuum. My only complaint is I would like it to work better on our linoleum, it sometimes just pushes the larger "dust bunnies" around and only does an okay job picking up cat litter. We did have a shipping snafu when ordering, but in typical Amazon customer service fashion I had one within a few days of making a complaint to them.
My Bissell 92NOA Sweeper Has a Redesigned Handle
October 9, 2013
After reading many reviews of non-electric sweepers, I decided to get this dual brush version. Received it today, 10/9/13, and was very pleased to find that the handle is now sturdy and SCREWS TOGETHER nicely--no hammering, taping or glueing! Looks like Bissell responded to all the negative reviews regarding the previous handle design issue. Assembly was under five minutes. The handle comes in four sections, one of which contains an internal plastic plug. This section must be screwed onto the short threaded rod at the top of the sweeper base--easy as pie. Used it on one carpet and it does the job so far. Simple assembly instructions are on the back of the box. My wife and I are taller than average and the 44-inch long handle is just fine. Another thoughtful touch is that the handle mount has a detent to hold the handle in the upright position so it can stand up and let you walk away; the handle stays up and doesn't flop down. The two brushes are easily removable for cleaning by flexing the plastic housing slightly outward where the brush axle rods protrude--nice feature. I gave it four stars since we just got it and will have to see how it performs over time.

BTW: Note that it does pick up on both push and pull strokes. Only the rear brush rotates on push (forward) stroke; only the front brush rotates on pull stroke (reverse). I think that's why there are two dust bins.
efficient little sweeper
August 25, 2013
I bought this to replace my 20-year-old bissell carpet sweeper which had outlived its long and dutiful life. with two brushes, this is more efficient. we have an australian cattle dog who sheds a lot. so having a reliable carpet sweeper that we can use almost daily is important. with two brushes, this does the job very well. one of the brushes is the standard full brush as in our old model bissell. on the second brush, the bristles are not as stiff and spread out more. with both brushes rotating and with small brushes at each of the four corners, all the dog hair and surface dirt is picked up quickly and most of the debris along the walls is picked up, too.
the reason for 4 vs 5 stars is the opening for emptying the debris. it does open wide, but it does not remain open. i have to continue to push back on the cover to hold it open while i empty the sweeper. a little annoying since i have been used to an easy-open, stay open cover while emptying.
overall, this is a keeper, one that i hope will last another 20 years.
just like the old days
March 12, 2013
I have a short hair and a long hair cat. Rather than get out the vacuum cleaner I decided to buy a carpet sweeper remembering the one my Mother used when I was a youngster. The Bissel Natural Dual Brush Sweeper was easy to put together. No problem with the handle since I'd read all the reviews others had posted regarding problems with their handle. Just followed the guide on assembly. The cat hair from my long hair cat picks up nicely but I have to roll the sweeper in one direction, it doesn't pick up good if I run it back and forth. After I'm finished I have to go and pull the hairs off the bristels, which is rather a pain and takes some time to do. My husband loves it for use on our dry wood floors. Says it works great and it's easy to empty the catch compartment. All around a good product, but not perfect for picking up hair. I would have liked it for a little less than the $25 I paid, since I can purchase a vacuum cleaner for 3x that amount that works great. Time will tell how long the item lasts and how well the bristles hold up. Unless a better product comes out for hair removal on carpets I'd purchase this item again.

Love the dustpan, not so much the broom.
September 21, 2017
The dustpan and broom set is a good set for quick clean-up. I am taking one star off because the broom is too short and makes my lower back hurt after a few minutes of using it, the broom handle is also not ergonomically designed and hurts to grip in my hand as I am sweeping. The dustpan is my favourite of the two pieces because there is less bending down to collect crumbs and orts.

Great dust pan and broom combo
May 7, 2017
The only issue that I have with it is that the set is a little shorter than I expected. So if you are really tall, you are gonna feel like you are using something that was made for a child. Otherwise that dust pan is great because it is designed with the bottom catch lip flat on the floor so it does a really great job a picking up even the smallest pieces of dirt. The broom is very sturdy and I love using the set.

It's ok, not great.
March 10, 2016
Works good for light stuff like dust bunnies and hair, but had trouble picking up the seed hulls my bird throws out of his cage and the kitty litter my cat tends to track down the hall. Plus if you don't hold it a certain way, the metal on the bottom scrapes the floor, so I'm nervous about scratching the wood. I'll use it for quick light stuff, but not as good as I expected or wanted.
Good for bare floors but doesn't pick up well on carpets
February 3, 2016
My Bissell Natural Sweep broke after two years of hard labor (latch for the dust pan cover snapped off) and I purchased this model as a replacement. I now regret that choice! The Natural Sweep did a better job of picking up loose dirt and worked effortlessly on both my wood floors and berber carpet. The Swift Sweep does a great job on the wood and the throw rugs, but it really did not do well on the berber carpet. The Natural Sweep got the dust build up along the baseboard on the berber. I like that the Swift Sweep has a smaller head so that it fits easily under chairs; however, in my opinion, it just doesn't have the same efficiency as the Natural Sweep.

This model works OK but the metal bracket attached to the sweeper will often scrape the baseboards or wall. For $5 more, you can purchase Bissell Natural Sweep Dual Brush Model 92NOA which is wider, 2 brushes vs 1, the handle is located in the center of the sweeper and doe not scrape the baseboard or wall. I would not purchase the Bissell 2201B again but would purchase the Bissell 92NOA
Does what it's supposed to depending on the surface
March 20, 2013
Pretty much does what it's supposed to. You will have to go over the carpet multiple times if it is a higher pile carpet. Works really well on low pile. Does o.k. on bare floor.update- I've had this a little while and have used it a fair amount. The handle is annoying and unscrews itself while you use it. I plan to put some black electrical tape around the handle and assume this will take care of the issue.I bought this to help control cat hair in between vacuuming, like i said low pile rug it's great. My entire upstairs is a thicker rug. The problem is two fold, first to pick up the cat fur you need to apply a lot of pressure and go over the fur several times in the same direction. If you try to use it like a vacuum going forward and backward on the backward motion all of the fur you previously picked up is tossed back out onto the rug. I'm a little bummed out because the upstairs rug is where I really have my cat hair problem. Was hoping this would be a nice interim control between vacuuming. Guess I have to go back to vacuuming every few days.
Wanted to like it
September 15, 2012
I was looking for a floor sweeper that didn't need batteries to replace my Quickshine sweeper whose batteries seemed to die every year. Unfortunately this wasn't it. The biggest issue I had with it was the fact there is only one brush in the center which makes it impossible to pick up crumbs in a corner. My other concern (which may be not be the case) was the metal plate underneath. It sounded like it was scraping tile floor which would be very bad on wood floors. The great things about this sweeper are the price, solid construction, easy to put together and it seemed to work very well on carpet. Like I said, I tried to like it, but ended up going back to the Quickshine electric sweeper.
Classic Product But Needs Improvement
December 5, 2011
These little push sweepers have been around for years. Great for general pick up of items, but there are a few small things that are annoying.1 - If you have stray strings in carpet that come off shirts, socks, etc., you might as well forget using this. It will not pick them up. It also does not do the greatest on bare floors.2 - Another big problem we have with this, is that the rubber protector that goes around the outside edge tends to fall off. After the third time it fell off, I just left it off.3 - The number 1 major issue with this, as other people have said before, is that the 2 piece handle does not stay together too well. It will pull apart. I remedied that by wrapping black electrical tape at the connection.Other than these few things, it still does a decent job for a quick clean up in between the times you vaccuum.

Okay
June 12, 2017
It's okay. I hate having to clean it and don't like that I have to go over things sometimes a few times to get them to pick up, but what do you expect for such a low price and no noise. The two areas that hold the debris open easily and empty with a bit of clearing. I have to pull the hair and debris out of the two rollers.
Not very good on hard floors. Just pushes stuff around.
April 21, 2017
Meh. It does not work well at all on hard floors. It mostly pushes the dirt and debris around. Works best for stuff in the middle of the floor, but when you don't have a lot of space to push/pull this thing past and over the debris, it won't get it. We caved and got an expensive powered one for the kitchen. This will work on short rugs and carpet.
Easy to empty
March 23, 2017
Works ok on hard surface flooring but sometimes would not pick up everything. Easy to empty. Wish the handle was foldable or collapsible because it is kinda tall. Seems to have a hard time on low pile carpet had to do many passes to pick items up. Overall easy to use and more effective than a broom and dustpan but no replacement for a vacuum.

March 13, 2017
This is not even nearly heavy duty in an sense, and can't take much pressure on it to pick up on deeper piled carpeting, but it work OK. Does an OK job in my craft room for those millions of little teeny pieces of paper that fall on the carpet and does a very decent job on the hard floor under the bird cage with flung out seeds, etc. It serves a purpose.
Not great for laminate floors
April 15, 2014
Not sure if it's because my laminate floors are too slippery, but sometimes it just pushes dirt around - takes a few sweeps to pick up some stuff.

Thought it would be lighter weight, but maybe it's better that it has more heft.

Not thrilled with this
September 23, 2017
This is very awkward to handle. The dustpan doesn't always fold back up and I'm afraid to force it in case it breaks. The brush is a little too wide to fit in the pan neatly. What I DO like is that the brush sweeps clean without leaving an irritating line of dust and it gets right into corners.
The broom handle needs to be longer..
May 3, 2017
I really like the dust pan. It is heavy duty and will stand up on its own. However, the broom needs to have a longer handle on it so that it won't hurt your wrist. It would be ideal if they included extenders for both the handle on the pan as well as the handle on the broom. In order to use this dustpan, I ended up purchasing a broom with a longer handle. Also, the Duo-Pan is over-priced.

March 31, 2017
I really didn't care for this particular product from Carlisle, because for me the metal handle may be a future issue since I bought to use at our restaurant. Using in the kitchen and wash room it will get wet, because I wash the dust pans every so often.
Too short
February 28, 2017
aaah man....Really looked forward to my new broom, wish I checked the length, I assumed it would be a little bit longer, this will work well for short people....not so much tall people.
Be Ready To Bend Over
February 22, 2017
This has to be a broom made for people under 5'3. Cannot use I'm 6'0 causes me to bend over often.
A bit short in length compared to the rest out their in the market
August 3, 2016
It's nice but it's too short. I'm 5'3", yet have to bend down a lot to sweep the floor. The dust pan is quite sturdy and the overall material is good too. However, I don't use the brush much as it gives me a back pain and feels tiresome due its short length.

Doesn't work well
April 6, 2017
Handle is too short. Your wrist will get tired quickly. I have low pile/high traffic carpet in my classroom. Did not pick up items quickly. I had to roll over them several times. If it didn't want to pick up an item, it would fling it across the room. I returned it and got a small vacuum for only $3 more.
Dissapointed look for somethig else
March 28, 2015
I bought this because it was inexpensive and there were a lot of positive reviews. I have found it to be kind of junky (the bumper fell off almost immediately) and a real pain to use. It picks up a small amount of stuff and then begins spitting it back out until you clean it. I purchased it to use on an 8 X 10 rug that has a pretty low nap, about 1/4", and I literally have to clean it 4 times to seep this one rug. Not only that it is pretty difficult to clean. It has 2 doors that fold i toward the center and when they are open it is not easy to empty. I have to push something through it , usually a paper towel, and then there is still a bunch of stuff in the brush that has to be removed by pulling it out. It is more work than getting out the vacuum which makes it pretty useless.
disappointed
November 13, 2014
I bought this item seven months ago on Amazon and it worked great until recently when it became quite inefficient in picking up dog hair on the same rugs that it had previously worked so well. The rugs are low pile and the unit was not heavily worked or abused. Cleaned the brush, but no help so I called Bissell. They said what I needed was a new brush, which when combined with the shipping charge came to approximately half the original cost of a new sweeper. I passed. Something like this sweeper should certainly last longer than six or seven months of average household use.
Smaller than advertized!
February 10, 2014
I am ashamed of Bissell to put out a sweeper that is sallmer than the advertized information. Also it is cheaply made. Using only a bristle brush that feels like a baby's hair brush. I found i had to roll over the area multiple times to get 1 flake up. Like 10 times! Took awhile to clean a 4x8 area rugs. Interestingly that it did pick up a strand of string. But it actually redeposited it into another place on the rug. I do like the double pan feature and is easily to empty. But what does this company think we want to clean our carpet, a TOY! I wish I could find the sweeper my mom had when I was growing up. Now that thing worked and the handle was a normal size. Like a thickness of a broom. This one is very narrow. I am not impressed at all!
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY READ THE REVIEWS
December 13, 2012
I unpackaged it all put it together (really easy),.. threw out the box and waited to use it. When I finally used it it barely picked up anything. I really had to keep going over the same crumbs and dust bunnies to get it to sweep it. I think that the bristles don't reach the floor enough to do the job. I was really disappointed in this product but for what it would cost to return it it wasn't worth it. I also might add that if you have a really thick carpet it might work better for you, I was looking primarily for a bare tile, floor item that would pick up crumbs etc. However a sweeper is a sweeper and it should to the same job that a broom would do. My Grandmother had one many years ago and it was like magic! This one is cheaply made also. Hope that this helps.
UPDATE ON MY REVIEW
March 13, 2012
UPDATE: YES, THIS HANDLE DOES CONTINUALLY FALL OFF NOW! VERY FRUSTRATING! SO I JUST PURCHASED BISSELL SWEEP-UP MODEL 2102-B FROM KOHLS.COM. SAME PRICE AND THE HANDLE SCREWS TOGETHER. LOOK FOR COUPONS ONLINE TO GET A % OFF AND FREE SHIPPING SO IT ENDED UP COSTING ME 15.00 AND A MUCH MORE SUPERIOR PRODUCT!!!!! I THOUGHT MY FIX TO THE HANDLE WAS GOING TO WORK, BUT IT DOES NOT!!!! MY NEW OPINION....DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT.BISSELL SWEEP-UP, MODEL 2102-B. ITS BLUE! YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY!!!!!!I work for a well-known Steak Buffet, and believe it our not, when that place closes, Servers are expected to clean the floors with a short handled broom and dust-pan. NO VACUUMS ARE PROVIDED. I noticed that several Servers purchased their own cleaning tool. Not having a lot of money, I decided to try this. IT IS AWESOME! I read all the reviews and was concerned about the handle problem. I put the handle together, went outside and tapped it on a hard surface several times, from both ends, and then attached it to the thing. That handle is going nowhere! So to test it out, I have two furry dogs. I ran it over my area rugs in the house, thought is was actually doing nothing, until I opened it to empty it. TONS of dog hair, so I KNOW this will be perfect for my job. Sure beats being slumped over a broom and dust pan for like an hour. Finishing up at work quickly and then get the hell out! GREAT PRODUCT AND SUPER FAST SHIPPING! By signing up for "prime" I got this item shipped FOR FREE AND GOT IT THE VERY NEXT DAY In fact, I will definately be purchasing another one just for my home. Totally recommend this product if you have carpet and want something to use in between big-time vacuuming. And yes, it worked just as well on my kitchen floor, which is tile!

Two stars is being generous
June 6, 2017
Doesn't work at all. Not on carpet, tile, or linoleum. I guess I'm suppose to just push it around for fun and not actually accomplish anything. Doesn't pick up little scraps of paper, dog hair, human hair, general high traffic area dirt, nothing!! Not even if you stand there and swipe the same area in different directions. I tried putting a little pressure on it to see if that would work and of course, it didn't. This has turned into a training type "vacuum" that my kids like to push around thinking they are being very helpful. I can not recommend this product, not even if it was just $20.
Not as Advertised
May 24, 2017
Not impressed. We really needed a quick pick me up at our business that has industrial carpet (no fluff). Besides having a handle that keeps coming loose, it really didn't do a very good job removing the small things we expected eliminating the need to vacuum so frequently. I cannot recommend this product.
Keep pushing
December 28, 2016
I'm not sure why there are so many positive review, on carpet it barely picks up cheerios, and only after 3 or 4 pass firmly pushing down on the handle. On hardwood/tile it performs worse, it just pushes the cheerios to the side or leaves it on the floor. I found myself picking up the cheerios by hand and putting it directly in front of the sweeper. Bottom line: for the occasional cleaning or mess it is not efficient, if you have a big mess it might be faster. I recommend getting an electric as they only cost 10 or more than this sweeper.
Not as good as a dustpan and broom
March 27, 2015
I found it easy to assemble, however I hardly ever use it because I find that a regular dustpan and broom picks up much, much more than this. I would run over the same thing again and again and yet it still would not pick it up. It was almost as if it chose what to pick up and what not to, as when I emptied it there was stuff in there, but not everything that needed to be by far. Also, it spits some of the things that it picks up out the back in tiny pieces, so then I end up with an even bigger mess than I started with. I wouldn't buy this again.
Crumbs on hardwood? Nope.
January 13, 2014
I wanted a sweeper for use on my hardwood floors to clean up under our dining room table, since I've got two young kids who make a mess at every meal. I wanted something that would be a little easier than a broom and dustpan. Unfortunately, while the sweeper seems to do a great job on little scraps of paper or anything with some mass, it does a terrible job with food crumbs, like Cheerios bits. It gets some but ends up just pushing other bits around and I have to go over and over the same areas to get it to pick up. I'm not sure whether other sweepers do a better job on hardwood, but this thing was a $20 experiment that wound up in the BUST column.

Better than nothing, but I wouldn't buy again.
September 8, 2017
The broom bristles are very firm, and it does not sweep well. The bin locks in the down position, so when you lift it, the bin does not tilt back. This also makes it difficult to empty.

First shipment had defective broom handle. When used the 2nd one, broom was so heavy I couldn't use it w/one hand w/o straining my wrist. Couldn't use 2 hands as broom too short. Previously, I have used another brand for about 10 yrs w/great success. I now have found Mr. Clean to make a much more user friendly version. Hope they improve the product.

Fine. Sticks short. The dustpan locks oddly and is difficult to unlock. Really you shouldn't buy this. 90% chance you won't like this.
Heavy and stiff.
December 27, 2016
Way too heavy and stiff. Feels like something you'd use outside at an amusement park not in a home. The bristles were stiff and started to splay out and get caught when trying to store it together. The bucket part of the dustpan would not switch to upright for storage without having to push firmly with My foot or a hand. I u fortunately had to replace it with a Casabella set because I literally couldn't stand using it. So for me, this purchase was a waste of money. One positive, It didn't leave crumbs or dust on the floor when sweeping into the dustpan though which is good. But when it's too heavy, stiff and industrial to use, then that negates the lack of crumbs.
Way too Short. Brush too stiff.
November 18, 2016
Way too short unless you're a very short person. Had to bend over to use it which is hard on the back after a while. Brush is Very very stiff. Would not recommend or buy again. Since have already used it, guess I'm stuck with it.

Not worth it, it doesn't really pick up. It picks up some of the dog hair but only one way. It basically combs the hair on the rug.
Would Not Recommend
January 2, 2014
I bought this sweeper hoping it would pick up the kitty litter around the box in my bathroom. The rug in front of it is not completely flat, so it definitely does not get the litter in the stitched areas. When it picks up any litter, it often then dumps it a few sweeps away. The trays are nowhere near full, so I'm not sure where the problem lies. Even on my flat kitchen throw rug, I have to go over items two or three times, and forget about my hardwood floor.Definitely would not recommend this for pet owners.
Piece of junk
March 7, 2013
I just put hardwood floors in the kitchen and wanted something for quick sweep ups. This is not the product to do it! It missed most of the dirt. My son tracked in some cake mud and it just pulverized it and left it on the floor. It was a bit better on the area rugs and door mat, but not worth the space to store it so I returned it.

poorly designed, difficult to use, broom not good, dust pan difficult to handle plus needed rubber gasket or something at the lip so that dust would actually go into the pan instead of stopping at the lip. Took up too much space in out tiny house. Threw it away just to quit glaring at it

Very Very Short... its a broom for kids, had the length of the stick been longer it seems like it would have worked well. As is, I don't think we will use it. I would recommend paying attention to the length of the stick.
Not good for commerical or home use
April 7, 2016
I do not normally give bad reviews, yet this item is not good for commercial or home use. Broom bristles fanned out within a week, does not sweep up well in that condition, nor can you insert the broom into the dustpan when storing. Dustpan handle has a tab which latches into a pocket when in use, good idea except you cannot pop it back out with ease when finished sweeping. Had to cut off that tab. Broom handle does not stay firmly screwed into broom head.
Don't buy this
August 16, 2015
Awkward to use as the pole on the brush is so short -maybe good height for a kid,if that's who will be using it. Bristles on the broom bend out far too easily making it more like a prickly parachute than a broom... poorly designed for storage. If I had seen this in a store, I sure would have passed it up.
