FIRST IMPRESSIONS AT TIME OF PURCHASE:Not great. Drips for several minutes after every use. Drips continuously while heating even if the temperature setting is low, apparantly the condensate return line is insufficient, and I have triple checked that it is clear and unobstructed. Also the faucet valve started leaking out the top of the fixture recently, only about a month of use. The plastic hose delivering the hotwater to the outlet gives a very strong plastic flavor. I'd return it if I could.UPDATE, 07/29/2017This product is working better and better. Initially I was unhappy with it but almost a year now, it's great. Maybe there was a break-in period? Don't know, but the constant dripping has stopped, the off flavor is gone, and it works trouble free. My revised opinion is very favorable. I'd recommend to others to go ahead and get it, and be a little patient while it breaks in. The more you use it the happier you'll be. I would buy this again.

Just bought and installed this, so reserve the right to update if problems come up..but wanted to share some installation tips. As others have noted, the faucet doesn't seem to match up with anything for connections. Also, the instructions say to use a saddle valve or put a t into your supply line. I don't have access to my supply line, so had to go a different route. My shutoff valve coming into the cabinet from the wall has a single outlet to connect to the cold water of the primary faucet. I thought I would have to replace the valve with one that has two outlets, which would require turning the water off at the street. Was happy to find a different brass fitting at Home Depot which allowed me to simply shut the valve off, disconnect the cold water supply line to the main faucet..install the brass fitting with two outlets and then reinstall the supply line to the faucet. So now I have a spare outlet available to run to the new hot water faucet provided in this set. The problem (or problems, rather) are that the outlet from the brass fitting is a male as is the supply line leading to the valve from the provided faucet...the second problem is the supply line connected to the faucet is relatively short. I saw a review where someone was able to solve this with a 4 foot dishwasher supply line. Rather than having that much coiled up behind the sink, I purchased two 12 in supply lines and a coupler. This left a female connection at each end to connect to the faucet supply line and the outlet of the new valve fitting without too much extra coiled up behind the sink.So my hardware store list:2 12 inch supply line hoses1 brass couple to attach the two hoses1 brass splitter to put on my shutoff valve for the cold water supply1 outlet splitter, since I only had two electrical outlets under the sink..the one in a switch for the disposal and the other for the dishwasherTotal was about $30.I've noticed the sputtering others have seen if I have the heater too high, but turning it down seems to help. Otherwise, the faucet is great quality, very heavy and matches our current brushed nickel fixtures. The tank warms very quickly and within a few minutes of plugging it in was getting 190 degree water. Installation was actually pretty easy after I laid it out on the table and did a dry run of how everything would need to come together. It fits fine under the sink with a disposal in the center and recycle and trash bins under there too.So far, very happy with the purchase and wasn't put out by having to spend a few bucks for the installation parts.

I had a previous insta-hot that had the plastic tube in the wrong place. The tube melted, water ran everywhere. I was not happy. Looking for a replacement I came across this brand. I know Waste King. They make excellent garbage disposals as well as other kitchen appliances.This is well built. I feel only a slight heat on the case when water is boiling hot.The water heats from room temperature to boiling in a few minutes. This device keeps boiling hot water all day. I have this on a timer so I'm not heating water when I am sleeping.I am happy. The construction is excellent. Installation is straight forward. The faucet is well made and feels substantial. This is a quality unit that I can recommend without reservation.

If you are replacing any previously installed dispenser with this one, you will be very happy. You need to purchase only one item from HD or any hardware store. I purchased a Lasco 3/8" female comp x 1/4" comp brass (#17-6755) under $5.00. The reason you need this adapter is the manufacturer uses 3/8" braided line to the water source. Kinda stupid of them since standard is 1/4" and most people are splitting off of there 1/4" ice maker line, AND they already have 1/4" braided lines which they use for the connection on the corner of the unit! They can eliminate most of the negative reviews by making both braided lines 1/4", but they don't read the reviews, so just purchase the adapter to connect their 3/8 to your 1/4 and live with it. No need to change to 3/8 and mess around since the reducer works fine. One tip- make sure the unit under the sink is mounted close enough to connect the 1/4" line from the faucet to the corner of the unit directly, thus avoiding to use the supplied plastic quick connects. Also the plastic line that attaches to the middle of the unit is pretty stiff, so do a pre hook up, take it off, then get under the sink to install. This will stretch the hose end a little to make it easier to attach it, before getting in the cramped quarters under the sink.The faucet is nice looking and comes in a felt bag to avoid damage and this added touch makes the manufacturer look good and they want to protect your investment. Some people complain about the the hot water coming out slower than their previous unit, but it really isn't a problem since your filling up a cup, not a bathtub.

This item comes with most of what you need, but not everything. The faucet this comes with is excellent. You will need a few tools, like a drill to mount it, tape measure, wood screws, two standard wrenches, a basin wrench, plus whatever you need to hook into your current cold water to a 3/8 pipe inlet connector on this dispenser. I did call support to ask some questions and they were very helpful and knowledgeable. I ended up splitting off my R.O. water system (pH filter required). Although this unit has a stainless tank, the heater coil is made of copper, (to help heat up quickly). Straight installation of the unit not including all the prep or hook into the cold water line if you aren't already set up takes about 30 minutes. If you are like me and have a very small space and a HUGE garbage disposal you have to take out and want to hook into your water filtration system, this will take much more time. Keep in mind that the faucet will need to be mounted properly because you will have some water run-off from the lever during use. When mine does go out, I WILL be buying another one just like it.If you don't run your tap water through several layers of filtration, you will be required to clean it more often to prevent it from going out. If yours lasted 11 months, then I'd clean it every 6 months. The actual measurements are: Depth 8" Width 7" Height 12"(including inlets).Update: 06/18/2015 This item is still running like a champ! No issues at all with it and we use it multiple times every day.

Wow. I've purchase 2 Insinkerator hot water dispensers in the past (installed them myself), and the quality of the Waste King appears to be (from the outside) much, much better than the Insinkerator. The last Insinkerator I had was a stainless steel tank, but the connections that come out of the tank are all plastic, and eventually leaked. It isn't even that they eventually leaked that made me angry, it was that these plastic connection pieces were custom made for the Insinkerator tank, are not universal connectors, and can't be replaced because they are specialized. I think Insinkerator does this on purpose, because when I called them about the fittings, they said they couldn't give me the parts, and that I would need to buy the whole tank. Also, the Insinkerator is practically double the price of the Waste King. The faucet that comes with the Insinkerator is all chrome-looking plastic, where as the faucet that comes with the Waste King IS ALL METAL, and the hoses that come out of the Waste King faucet are BRAIDED metal lines with metal compression fittings. Both ports that come out of the Waste King are metal too, not plastic like the Insinkerator, and one is copper tubing and the other looks like stainless steel.There is one thing that is not right about the faucet that comes with the Waste King, and that is the compression fitting on the water source tube is a three eighths inch compression fitting, yet the quick connects that Waste King provides with the tank accept only one quarter inch tubing. I was afraid to use the plastic quick connect fittings anyway for fear of leaking (even though Watts makes and sells the same kind of quick connect fittings at H0me Dep0t). The directions that come with the Waste King even say to connect the water source tube (three eighths inch) on the faucet to a one quarter inch tubing. I bought metal fittings and a three eighths inch tube at HD, connected it all, and on the first attempt, there were no water leaks. I hope I'm not disappointed.

Love the variable temp control defantly worth the extra bucks we don't drink water all that cold because of the little ones

I followed the instructions in setting the water cooler up and have had no problems. It works great and the water tastes great. I ordered the black model, but got the silver one. It doesn't matter to me, but I was surprised that there was no communication by the seller about this.

Got this filtration system a couple of weeks ago and I am very satisfied with it. It is stylish, the stainless steel type of look matches perfectly with my other kitchen appliances; it feels built with high quality; and it is working great on dispensing both hot & cold water. This is a great product overall. I am very happy with this purchase.

I have been using the Honeywell dispenser for the past week and I have to say it has surpassed my expectations (and they were high). First and foremost, it works very well. Both the hot and cold water work perfectly for each need. I particularly like the convenience of the ready-to-serve hot water as it allows me to brew my tea and other hot beverages on the spot! Second, it is very well built and feels solid. Installing it is very easy and intuitive. Importantly, make sure you have a level surface as it works better. My recommendation is that you used the supplied anchor screw to fix to the back wall to keep it in place; specially if you have 2 young kids like me! Talking about kids, the kid's safety on the hot water works very well.

Important to note, I ordered this with the Honeywell HWB101S Filtration System. This is an amazing product I discovered they have which replaces the need for ordering water bottles! This is placed on top of the dispenser and is filled with regular tap water and has a filtering system. I strongly recommend adding this product!

I've installed this several weeks ago and it seems to be working well and without any major issues. The faucet itself appears to be of high quality and looks very nice. Time will tell if the tank system will hold up over years of use. The only issue I noticed is if you turn up the temperature setting too high on the tank. If you do, then you may get some hot water spurting out the faucet from time to time. I resolved this by dialing own the temp setting until this phenomenon stopped. The water is still plenty hot for hot drinks.Also, I added a filter system to the hot water which works fine but takes up more room under the sink.

I've had this installed about three weeks ago and so far it's working great. I Had it installed by a plumber who stated he's installed this brand several times and hasn't heard any complaints. I was looking to replace my Insinkerator brand but they didn't have a faucet that went with my new kitchen faucet. The Waste King faucet I purchaed with the tank is brushed nickel and goes well with my new Kohler stainless faucet and soap dispenser. I will say that it doesn't get quite as hot as the Insinkerator but hot enough. The price of the Waste King is far less than the a Insinkerator brand.

We purchased the Waste King to replace our Insinkerator model that lasted only two years. Hopefully, the Waste King will hold up better. The fact that it costs substantially less makes the prospect of replacing it again more palatable.What we really like about the Waste King is the taller spout that also swivels; the Insinkerator spout was about half as tall and it was fixed to the position that we had selected during installation. This makes the Waste King way more versatile.If you are a do-it-yourselfer like me, I forewarn you to be prepared to make a run to the plumbing store for a brass fitting. There was no way that the fittings included were going to connect to the 1/4" copper supply line... even though the instructions showed that they did. The fitting required was somewhat "exotic"; I spent a good 20 minutes in a well-supplied plumbing shop going through drawer after drawer until I found exactly what I needed.We have been using this unit for about a month now... hot beverages, cooking and even some cleaning chores. So far, we are pleased with it's performance.12JUL'17 UPDATE: We have been using this unit daily for nearly 3 years. I upgraded my ranking from 3☆ to 4☆ because it has performed so well. What keeps me from giving it a 5☆ ranking is the tricky installation and the occasional drip of hot water into the sink.

There's a lot of confusion about what's in the box, and about what adaptors you might require. The terrible instructions add to this. So, I had a few interactions with the manufacturer, Anaheim, including with their Director of Operations, who settled these issues definitively. (You WILL have parts left over.)You've got three hoses to worry about, only the first one is interesting:1) The cold-water supply line to the faucet (the braided/blue hose) has a 3/8" male compression fitting. Let's look under YOUR sink:IF YOU HAVE A 3/8" SUPPLY LINE installed (e.g. from a saddle valve or a T) you'll use no adapters or fittings: If the copper tubing has 3/8-inch outside diameter, it goes right onto the hose, using the nut & brass ferrule provided.IF YOU HAVE A 1/4" SUPPLY LINE (MORE LIKELY!)then you need an adapter (not included). Anaheim Manufacturing (Waste King) recommends the Watts LFA-157, available here on Amazon.IF YOU HAVE NO INSTANT-HOT SUPPLY LINE YET, I suggest you install a tee with a 3/8" compression fitting. The LASCO 06-9111 looks right, to me, if your kitchen faucet's supply line has a 3/8" female compression fitting (most do, these days). This tee goes between the faucet and its supply. Optionally add a stop valve, unless you want both your faucet and this hot-dispenser to share a shut-off. (This would be more robust than a saddle valve. I don't trust any such self-piercing things.) But read on...NOTE: The water tank's supply hose has a MALE compression fitting, so it will accept that 3/8" O.D. copper tubing, but it's the opposite of the female fitting that's probably on your faucet hoses. So if you have a shutoff valve or a tee (like the Lasco 06-911) with a 3/8" (male) compression thread, you'll need a short braided supply hose with 3/8" female compression fittings on each end to resolve those two males. That's the USUAL faucet supply line, so it's easy to find. For example the LASCO 10-2512 here on Amazon.2) The braided/red hose, from the faucet to the tank's corner, has a 1/4" compression fitting. This can go DIRECTLY onto the 1/4" stud on the tank, using the nut and ferrule provided. You ignore that white quick-connect fitting, here.3) The neoprene hose, from the faucet to the tank's center, attaches directly to the tank, with a clamp. Again, no added hardware is needed; just the two clamps provided.ELECTRICAL NEEDS:Of course you'll need an electrical receptacle. It should be a GFCI, for current code, sure, but also for safety. Bear in mind that this tank draws 11 amps when it's heating. If it's on a 15-amp circuit, it shouldn't share that circuit with anything: your dishwasher or your disposal will overload your wiring. If you share a 20-amp circuit with both your dishwasher and your disposal, you are very likely to trip your circuit breaker if you use your disposal while the dishwasher is running, and if you're unlucky enough to have this hot-water tank kick in at the same time.If you can install a dedicated outlet, that would be best. But you should not hardwire this unit (despite some comments elsewhere); cutting off the plug to do so would violate warranty and electrical code, and would be discourteous to anyone wishing to service or replace this heater.Anaheim Manufacturing knows they've got a problem with their instructions, and with added confusion caused by their including fittings that you probably don't need. They are working on this. And on training their support staff.PS: I'll edit this further, in response to any corrections or comments from you-all. After all the time I spent figuring this out, I'd like to contribute a useful answer!EDITED: To add detail & clarity about the supply-line's fitting, now that I've done the install. Also more regarding the electric loading.

The unit works well and has an attractive faucet that matches the regular faucet in our kitchen. This a replacement for one that had started leaking. I installed it myself and found the instructions confusing. They attempted to color code and number the parts bags and match those colors and numbers to the instructions, but things must have changed since the original design and parts didn't match up with the instructions. I eventually figured out what they really meant, and I was able to do the installation. The device works as expected.

This is actually my second one of these. I had one in the old house for a few years, then bought the exact same one off Amazon as soon as we moved into the new house. It's a great convenience, and we use it every day. I've never had a problem with this one or the old one that was a few years old.I really wanted to give it 5-stars, but my experience with the installation annoyed me so much I had to knock a star off. Other than the install - it's a 5-star product.Here's my beef with the install: (Keep in mind I installed the same one a few years ago, so I'm getting frustrated despite the fact that I've had practice!)1. The inlet line from the cold water supply is a 3/8" compression fitting, meant to hook up to a 3/8" copper pipe.2. In the package, they give you a 1/4" quick-connector with a nice little screen filter, and tell you install it on the supply line, and they tell you to go buy some 1/4" copper and some sort of fitting to hook it up to your existing sink's water supply.3. A 1/4" pipe does not fit into the 3/8" connector that goes into the valve on the faucet!!! The instructions make no mention of this, so there's one wasted trip to home depot buying the wrong parts...4. The line FROM the faucet valve that goes to the tank actually is 1/4" and fits the quick-connects they give you, so at least you can use one of them - BUT, after you figure out the first part, this means you have to buy 2 different sizes of piping to make all the connections! I tried to connect the 1/4" compression fitting off the faucet directly to the copper filler tube on the tank but couldn't get it tight - I don't recommend this because you have to get 2 wrenches in the tight spot under the sink and try to tighten it down without twisting the braided line all up. I ended up using a 3" piece of 1/4" tubing and a quick-connector.I'm hoping by writing this I can save people some frustration and maybe cut it down to one home-depot trip. Here is the list of stuff I used:1. Watt's 3/8" adapt-a-valve (LFPBAV-666) (my existing sink line is 3/8, I think that is pretty standard). This thing is great because you don't have to mess with anything upstream of the existing shutoff valve in your house. I'm not a fan of saddle valves, and it's nice to be able to shut it all off under the sink if there is a problem without shutting the whole house off.http://www.amazon.com/Watts-LFPBAV-666-Adapt---Valve-Compression/dp/B004VT4ZI4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1365525450&sr=8-2&keywords=watts+adapt-a-valve2. A braided stainless faucet/dishwasher connector with the same 3/8" OD female connections on both sides. I used a 20" long one from Home Depot, model #7223-20-38-6. Connect one end to the supply line Adapt-A-Valve 3/8" male threads, and the other end to the cold water input that goes to the water heater's faucet (3/8" male threads on the braided stainless line attached to the faucet).3. Watts 1/4" brass insert and delrin sleeve (2pcs per pack). This is a little brass tube that goes inside the 1/4" poly tube and lets you use the compression fittings that are meant for copper. Use the delrin sleeves that come with this instead of the brass sleeves that come with the other fittings, because the brass can cut the tubing or the tubing can slide right out of the Brass. This is for the 1/4" poly tube that connects the filler line coming out of the Faucet (use compression here) to the tank (use the supplied quick-connector).4. Watts 1/4" poly tubing to connect the filler hose from the valve to the tank. Three bucks at home-depot, I don't see it on amazon. I used about 4" of this was all.

The hot water very hot all the time. But the cold does not get as cold as i used from other dispensers

The water levers on this are pretty cheesy. so far we haven't had any problems, but they are the weak link. The unit is nice looking.

Hot water is really hot! Love it! Only issue is that it's sometimes difficult to remove water bottle from the top of the cabinet. Protective cap sometimes hangs up on the ring.

The Freestanding water cooler works great for cold water but I'm not able to get the hot water to work. Also, the unit came with a dent on one side in shipping I guess.

Works great, looks great. I gave it 4 stars because it is on the noisy side...you can hear the cooling system hum from across the room.

Faucet drips when the heater turns on (as others have said) but does stop when the heater is off. I didn't find it terribly difficult to install, possibly because I was overly prepared for a major problem, based on other write-ups. The connectors provided are push on type (similar to Shark Bite), but the hoses provided have screw on compression endings. So the connectors are totally useless. The braided hose that is supposed to connect to the water supply is 3/8", but the instructions show to connect it to a 1/4" copper tubing. An adapter is not provided; I had to Gerry Rig something to make it work. It would be nice if the manufacturer used a braided line with a 1/4" compression connector that could be screwed directly to the 1/4" needle valve they say to use. :-/

This is a replacement unit for a Quick & Hot unit we had that lasted just over two year. This unit already went out in September, 2016 and we bought it in mid July, 2016. Called the company for a replacement and I have to schedule a service appointment rather than send in for a replacement unit. The company even told me that I would have to pay the invoice for the service if it is found that the reason it does not make hot water anymore is not covered by the warranty. This for a unit that is just under 2 months old- BUYER BEWARE!!!Having Instant Hot Water is great but this unit is not as reliable as I would like and AMC is making replacement a real hassle!

Faucet decent quality unlike standard Insinkerator models, but water flow system is inferior.I had a working insinkerator system but bought this because I wanted a better faucet. The insinkerator uses a 4 tube system while the various Hot-n-go brands use a 3 tube system. The difference is that the insinkerator has a steam escape line while the Hot-n-go systems try to dispose of steam through the regular hot water output. This system is noisier, with quite noticeable noise as it periodically reheats. It also drips some hot water periodically as steam pushes water out of faucet. The Insinkerator system draws water back down from the faucet when off so that hot water is instant. This system leaves a slug of existing cooled off water in the faucet which must come out before hot water flows. The amount is small but significant if you want a cup or less in that it dilutes down the hot water in the cup.

The day after I received this unit and the faucet, I proceeded to remove the old, leaky, defective unit that came with the house that we bought 6 months ago.I read all the reviews about the installation issues and thought to myself that the company that pairs the heater unit and the faucet must surely have updated the instruction sheet by now. After all, it has been more than 2 years since people have been complaining about the poorly written installation instructions. Nope, it is still terrible. I wanted to know which connector is the cold water input, and which connector is the hot water exit to the faucet. I discovered this by searching the web. So - here is the summary of my research:1. The cold water supply line is pretty clearly marked and if you choose to put a water filter inline, this is the place to put it. You can get a simple, replaceable, inline water filter for less than $15 at Amazon.com or most of the big box stores. The 1/4" plastic tubing from the inline filter is visible in the photo. You may need to get an adapter to hook up to the supply source, since the line connector is a 3/8" compression type MALE fitting. The adapter that I used (acquired from a local big box store) is visible in the picture from the male 3/8" blue labeled supply line to the compression fitting that connects to the plastic line (with brass insert) from the water filter.2. The braided red hose, from the faucet goes to the connector on the corner of the heater using the attached 1/4" compression fitting. (see my photo) You do not need to use the white quick fitting that is included. This was one of the things that was very confusing to me.3. The 1/4" neoprene hose connects to the center connector, through the 3/8" compression adapter (see my photo), which delivers the hot water to the faucet.It is important to make sure that these two connections are connected to the proper lines. It might work by reversing them, but it is designed to deliver the new supply of cold water to the bottom on the heater, and the heated water is taken from the top. After discovering which was which, I was able to quickly finish the installation.IMPORTANT: Do not plug in the heating unit, until after you are able to run water from the faucet. The heating unit must be filled with water or you will burn out the heating element.

Well, I read reviews about it leaking and hoped mine wouldn't but after 3 months of daily use (multiple times a day), I woke up to find hot water leaking out of the faucet, a constant stream. We had to turn it off. It also leaked around the bottom of the faucet at the countertop. I'm super bummed because when it worked we absolutely LOVED the instant hot water every morning for coffee and tea. On the plus side, I contacted the manufacture of the tank (because I could no longer return to amazon) and they instantly without questions hooked me up with a repair company that will come out and replace the faucet for free. I am impressed with Anaheim Manufacturing Company in the speediness of making this right for us.

The unit seems to be working fine,with the exception of 1 thing. When you try to dispense the hot water, if you push the handle in a certain way, water leaks from the handle area. The unit was installed by a plumber, and once the water temperature was adjusted to the way we like it, everything else seems to be ok. I have tried to call the warranty phone number included with the unit, but i only receive a voice mail which asks you leave your number and your call will be returned the following day. So far I have left 2 messages and no calls have been returned.

It's very loud when sitting on tile, so i have it resting on a towel. It works, but wish I wouldn't have too, it doesn't look very nice with a towel shoved under it..

After setting up and operating for my mom she noticed a constant humming. I adjusted the feet and tried squaring it to the wall and the humming went away for a while. It returned louder. Its just a lot of plastic joints and while buying online saved some dollars so you get what you pay!

Compact so fits in kitchen well. 3 gallon bottle fits best but if more than one person is using it the water goes fast

I like the water cooler/hot water dispenser. It is quiet when the water comes out and when it switches on. But the push handles for the water are plastic and could break easily and am not sure how long they will last. The bottom storage area is not cold inside so it's really just for show. We'll see?

It works very nice. Have concerns about the plastic knobs to push on to release water. How long will they last? I use mine all day long. Also can the knobs be replaced or not.

I have no issue with the product as they come, but I do have an issue that they all seem to last 3-3.5 years, and then something goes bad. Since installing originally in 2010 I had to replace the tank twice already. The original one stopped heating water. The first replacement started leaking after 3 years and 2 months. The new one is working so far, but I think the appliance without moving parts should last more than 3.5 years, especially if you charge that much for the unit that costs under $35 to manufacture. At least offer longer warranties, like some other companies.

Hot water heater installed and is working great, but the faucet drips whenever the boiler runs. I thought this was due to the water getting too hot and this being a release mechanism, but even with the water temp turned way down (where the water is warm), the faucet still drips. I would love to just exchange the faucet and not uninstall and repackage everything, but we'll see how that goes given my experience with an all or nothing return policy @Amazon. Provided everything worked this would have been an excellent product, that it shipped faulty = 2 stars since I have to do it all over again.

This product worked nicely for 14 months, and then suddenly, it stopped making hot water in Feb. 2017, which was 2 months after the warranty expired. The water flows freely, but its cold. So I contacted AMC but unfortunately they were of little help. They emailed instructions on how to reset, which didn't fix anything. Since my unit is 2 months beyond warranty, they would not give a replacement, offer repair or even a discount to purchase a new unit. (They very politely said they were sorry about my problem.)Prior to the Waste King H711, I had the Insta Hot system for 4-1/2 years and it was still functioning perfectly. I changed because of a recommendation from a contractor during my kitchen remodel. :-(So it cost me $120 to have it installed the first time, and probably at least that much for installation of the replacement. But this time, I am replacing with an InSinkErator product which carries a 3 year warranty in home warranty for close to the same price.

Leaks consistently and I have to turn the temperature down to get it to stop, but I want to leave it at the max temp so I don't have to use the microwave. Still microwaving water :(

*** See UPDATES below ***ORIGINAL REVIEWThis unit, manufactured in December 2014, was bought on March 2015 to replace the second InSinkErator dispenser to become corroded in less than 2 years of use. It arrived well packaged and had all the manufacturer's components; both the Coronado faucet and the tank are nice looking, and the flexible hoses are clearly tagged. Given that under the sink we already had attached to the cold water pipe a T-connector with safety valve for 1/4" tubing (as well as a GFCI receptacle for an electric line capable of supporting the operation of both the dishwasher and this 11W dispenser), my first impression was that it would be a very quick job. I was mistaken.One long look at the enclosed manual (Revision J [English] -- the PDF file from the Amazon webpage link to the user manual is Revision G) was enough to bring a feeling of impending doom. It was not that it had been written in Taiwan's Cantonese and then poorly translated to English with a web engine; actually, the printed text is often well written, with plenty of figures and highlighted text boxes. The problem was that the instructions did not seem to match the hardware.After some deliberation and checking reviews, particularly the images uploaded by reviewers, it was clear the manufacturer did not include all the necessary pieces for an easy installation, and that a trip to a local hardware store was needed. The INPUT to the tank first has a 3/8" braided hose but the water must first go through a 1/4" quick-connect fitting with a coarse filter, so one needs pieces of both 3/8" and 1/4" pipe. The hose connects to the tilt valve of the faucet; from there the water goes through the second braided hose, which has a 1/4" compression fitting, and then the second quick-connect fitting (without a filter inside) to reach the tank.Given what was available at the store I came up with the following system for the input, shown in Fig. A : [1] a short 1/4" copper pipe (attached on one end to the T-connector's valve) connects to [2] the 1/4" quick-connect fitting filter; this connects to [3] another short piece of 1/4" pipe that attaches to [4] a 1/4"-to-3/8" compression adapter that connects to [5] a short piece of 3/8" pipe whose other end connects to [6] the braided, 3/8" hose via a compression fitting; the hose connects to the the faucet's valve. (Note: a 1/4 to 3/8 inch adapter was not available in the store; it was built by combining pieces from different adapter parts.) Figure B shows that : [1] the other braided hose, which comes from the faucet's valve, attaches to [2] a short piece of 1/4" copper pipe via a compression fitting; the pipe connects to [3] the second quick-connect fitting, which connects to [4] the 1/4" tank inlet pipe extruding from one of the corners on top of the tank.The OUTPUT of the tank, also shown in Fig. B, needs no additional parts : the [5] 3/8" metal tube extruding from the center of the tank's top is attached to a metal hose connector whose nipple receives one end of [6] the neoprene tube; its other end attaches to the nipple at the end of a threaded tube of the faucet (which serves to mount the faucet on sink). Soaking the neoprene tube in warm water facilitates its mounting on the metal nipples.The tools I used, shown in Fig. C, were : [1] an adjustable wrench; [2] a (bent) bike cone wrench; [3] a pipe cutter for [4] 1/4" and 3/8" copper pipe; and [5] a knock-out punch. The cone wrench, which fitted the provided mounting nut, was used to mount the faucet on the sink, instead of a more expensive faucet wrench; it was bent to fit in the tight space at the mounting point. The punch was used to enlarge an existing 1" mounting hole to a three-leaf shamrock format matching the tubing arrangement at the bottom of the faucet. Only small pieces of additional tubing are needed, so I bought the shortest pieces on sale of 3/8" and 1/4" copper pipe. I have taken one star because obtaining and then putting together the additional parts for the water input took a considerable amount of time. Once all tank connections were made the faucet mounted, there were no leaks whatsoever.The tank MUST be filled with water before power is applied to the unit; else, the self-resetting thermal fuse of the heater will interrupt the circuit for about 30 minutes. The thermostat control dial on the tank makes it very easy to adjust water temperature. A negative aspect of the unit is that the position of the faucet's spout can be changed too easily, even by lightly bumping into it. This is a problem since the hand could be burned if the spout were directed at the handle lever. Also, unless water pressure is reduced, the water is dispensed with force (sometimes in three divergent jets, instead of a single jet) and one may get splashed with hot drops. I have taken another star because of this potential risk.The manufacturer should carefully revise the installation instructions (which are not only confusing but often also too busy), add an aerator to reduce the force of the water jet and avoid divergent multiple jets, and include a few short pieces of 1/4"and 3/8" tubing and an adapter to facilitate installation.UPDATE - April 2015After several instances of people getting splashed with hot water I decided to install the aerator the manufacturer ought to have installed. For that I bought an aerator repair kit METAL MESH. I unscrewed the tip of the faucet, removed its white plastic tubular insert (it has a black O-ring facing the faucet's tube), and then I cut the mesh using the white plastic insert as a round cutting guide. I placed the mesh in the end of the faucet's tip, replaced the plastic insert in the tip, and screwed the tip on the faucet's tube. There is little or no splashing now.UPDATE - October 2016After some 19 months of use, the dispenser developed a perforation in a plastic component (see below) that produced a water LEAK every time the device was used. Because of the geometry of the sink cabinet where the body of the dispenser had been installed, the leaks were not immediately detected and the water completely damaged the wood board that serve as the floor of the sink cabinet. I decided to look inside the device to find what part had failed and see if a replacement part could solve the problem.Figure D shows the metal enclosure after removing the dispenser as seen from the front side. The red arrow points to the oxidized spot on the back of the enclosure that was splashed by the leaking water from the device. Figure E shows the actual body of the hot-water dispenser as seen from the back side. The red frame (and the magnified view of this area in the inset) shows a circular opening in a squarish flat chamber made of white plastic on the back side of the device from where the water leaked out. This hole --located next to a partial hole produced by some manufacturing error that almost perforated the chamber, and above a heavily oxidized screw-- is a normal part of the dispenser, where it seems to help equilibrate pressure inside this chamber. The leak originates from a plastic (silicone?) membrane inside the chamber, which one of the FAQ answers in the manufacturer's website describes as "bladder that allows the water to be vacuumed back into the unit."Figure F shows the chamber (isolated from the body) after the screws that secure its halves were removed. Between these halves, like the contents of a sandwich, is the membrane, which can be barely seen on top of the right half in the figure due to the low contrast between the plastic of the chamber and of the membrane. Figure G shows the membrane more clearly against a dark background; the red circle encloses the slanted rip in the membrane that produced the leaks. (The central white square-like stain is actually embedded in the plastic membrane.)Since its warranty is of only one year, I will contact the manufacturer, Anaheim Manufacturing Company, which is a division of Moen Inc., to see if a membrane replacement can be provided. The unpleasant discovery that a normally inaccessible, low-cost plastic membrane can make this dispenser leak and damage under-sink structures is an absolutely weak design point in what had seemed to be a well-rated hot-water dispenser at the time I bought it. A water-sensor alarm under this device should be considered a necessary additional equipment to avoid water leak damages. I have reduced my rating from three to two stars.UPDATE - November 2016When I contacted the manufacturer to buy a replacement, I was asked to email them a photograph of the defective piece. Since the problem had occurred not so long after the one-year warranty had expired, they decided they would send me a replacement for the tank. It arrived today: it seems to be a new dispenser and not a refurbished one, ready to be connected to the pipes of the prior installation. This speaks highly of how Anaheim Manufacturing Co. deals with their customers -- the success of online shopping is predicated on accurate descriptions, fast delivery, and good customer service with no-hassle returns. Unfortunately, the two-star rating is maintained since it is due to the design of the device and not the service this company provides its clients.

This is my favorite thing about the remodeled kitchen. Having hot water on demand is super handy.UPDATE: Changing my review from 5 stars to 2 starsI had this professionally installed and worked great for about 1.5 years. Then, it suddenly stopped working. It no longer heats water. I contacted the manufacturer and followed instructions to reset the internal fuse and nothing worked. Even though it is just months out of warranty, the manufacturer would not offer any sort of replacement or discount on a new one. They also told me that it could not be repaired. This is a really disappointing lifespan for something like this.

bought this for a bit more money about a year and a half ago. The hot side stopped working after about a year. The cold side was never very cold even after adjusting the temp screw at the back. Water taps are plastic and feel cheap... The loading feature broke a few months ago. The unit leaked half a 5 gallon container on the floor.

The thing works great, but makes a very loud buzz when the refrigeration unit kicks in. I regret throwing away my old one. It sometimes made a hum, but you could hit it and it'd stop. But this thing is so loud that I can't hear the tv over the noise, and it's in the other room! I might try opening up the back and seeing if I can remedy this, but don't make my mistake and buy this!

5 minutes into having this machine plugged in, it started smoking.... Disappointed because I have been waiting for it and now I have to wait another week for a new one. It was also shipped with very little to no protection..

First, I received a defective, physically broken item in an open package. Then, after working for six months, the blue spigot started leaking leaving a large pool of water on the floor. Now I am trying to figure out how to buy a replacement part and I cannot find an easy way. When it is working, it is good, but overall, I have enough headaches with it.

I had to change my review from 2 to 1 star. After about 2 months the unit started to spit out waterat random times WITHOUT any intervention from me. Finally it got too much and sent email toAnaheim manufacturing who called back within 3 hours.The rep went through a litany of weak reasons why it is my fault (installed incorrectly, pinched hose,hose too long, water pressure too high). basically told me:Buck up buttercup this is the way it was engineered and YOU LIVE WITH IT. (no help from them)There were 2 things wrong with the unit (so far)Had the exact same model for 5 years and finally stopped heating water. I am sure it wasfrom lime buildup so I bought an exact replacement (so I thought)1. They provided NO 9/16 socket to tighten the faucet to the counter. What is needed is adeep socket wrench that also had a large interior diameter opening (for the post itself). Otherfaucet vendors provide specialty tools, so should they.2. They did not provide any connection pieces to attach the cold water line to the shut-off valveother than a compression fitting, which does not work on the water lines from the faucet. Fittingsshould be included to match the faucet to a non-compression shut-off.

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. This has been a lemon since day one. Moen was very accommodating and lovely to work with at first. But once we passed the one year mark, we were S.O.L. and they were rude and dismissive. To sum it up, this thing has NEVER stopped dripping in 1.5 years. They've replaced the tank and faucet a couple times. Moen has even go so far as to tell me that dripping of hot water dispensers is normal...but I'm telling you a constant drip like this is NOT! I had a plumber out to adjust our water pressure (which gave gave some temporary reprieve...until it started dripping...AGAIN)! We've trouble shooted every way we were told. End result: we have yank this sucker out, buy a new unit (NEVER NEVER NEVER Moen or WasteKing ever again!), and pay for installation to the tune of about $500+ (which does not include the money we originally paid for this, or it's installation, or plumber visits, or water bill from excessive dripping). As they say, "cheap is dear" and this is certainly no exception. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the money and headache. Spend a few extra bucks to get something better.

I purchased this 6 months ago. My husband is a plumber and he installed it. It worked fine for 5 months then it started loudly spitting water out at random intervals. We turned the heat down and it stopped spitting water out but now the water doesn't get hot at all. I contacted the seller and they do not comply with Amazon return policy. They have their own terms and since it has been over 30 days I am out of luck. Needless to say this has been a complete waste of money.

Most of the positive reviews on this product appears to be Fake. I would stay away from this product at any cost. I have changed two of these units in less than two years and the company is refusing to honor their warranty in my last attempt to get this product serviced. I would not pay $1 for this peace of garbage. Keep your money and invest it in a more reputable company and something that does not break every year.

Purchased this product to replace a previous unit that started leaking. Read the reviews and seemed like it would be a product that would last for at least a few years. A week after the warranty was up it started sputtering, barely dripping and then just stopped working. Pulled out the manual unhooked and cleaned lines, hooked back up sputtered worked for about 1 week at a small drip and then stopped again. Unhooked everything again, almost burnt ourselves when it started randomly sputtering. After that it worked, very slow stream, for about 2 weeks if you pulled the handle the opposite. It seems crazy to replace the handle at almost $200 when the first one barely made it a year. For a product this expensive it should work for more than a year. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I got this product because it was better rated than the AS-1300-C model, which only got a 2 star rating. I was dismayed when I got the box and the outside said H711-U-SN, but the inside box had the aforementioned model number. To start with, the installation was not easy, and we were replacing an InSinkErator model that had died after 9 years of service. My husband could not get the "quick connect fitting" to go on the pipe. He finally had to go to Lowes and get another attachment that fit. I can only guess the company changed the size of the pipes, but didn't change the size of the connectors. After finally getting it installed, the faucet dripped constantly. The trouble shooter said to turn down the heat, which we did. It finally stopped dripping when we turned it down enough, but then the water only came out luke warm. After about 2 days, it started dripping again. I have had it turned off (so it's not heating at all) and it still drips (about 2 gallons a day). There are no kinks or twists in the hoses, and no number to call to find out why it's doing this. I got this product because our less expensive InSinkErator model didn't get good ratings, so I thought we were one of the few that had good luck with it, so althought we never had a problem with it, I thought I'd go with this better rated model (although I'm still not sure which model I got). I regret getting this as we will probably have to rip it out (after it took my husband 4 hours and a trip to Lowes to get it in) and return it.

Bought this in February. It is December, no more cold water in our household. Can't afford another one. That wouldn't make any sense anyway

This water cooler is VERY LOUD when cooling water. It is so loud you have to raise your voice to talk to any body in the room. You also have to turn the TV up load to hear over it. Would not buy again and too late to return.

This water cooler was a huge disappointment. It would only get the water temperature down to about 50 degrees. It has an adjustable thermostat on it but it cautions in the product manual that over adjustment of the thermostat voids the warranty. Rather than risk losing my money I returned this item.

Made cheap the pieces that are used are very weak, the cold isn't really cold, 5 gallon bottle doesn't sit well on the dispenser. I wish I never bought this item. Only good thing I can say about it is it dispensers water.

Decided to try after reading mixed reviews. The dispenser nozzles, are very cheap plastic, just a matter of time before they break.
The worst, the strong plastic water taste... YUK !!. I cleaned all of the plastic pieces, flushed with plenty of water, and still get a strong plastic taste.
Not worth the money.
