After a couple weeks though the softness has "packed down" and I can see why people recommend getting gel inserts for them. I wear Rockport 10.5 EE dress shoes and even though I purchased a 11 Wide, these shoes were too narrow and I ended up returning them shortly after receipt. Not heavy boot at allJanuary 14, 2015 It has two top boot string lips instead of holes. Which are great when you wanna take the boots off quickly when you get home. But when your working outside the boot strings come off the lip. You almost have to tie extra tight or your upper ankle/ leg will go through tonge and there will be a gap where your heel is while walking. I would prefer a boot with string holes instead of these metal string lips. Very comfortable when walking for a eight hour shift outside with snow/slush on the concrete. After 4 weeks of heavy use, an eyelet came off (this happened after 2-3 days) and most of the covering on the laces was gone. I was ashamed to wear them in public. The winter weather in the surrounding Great Lakes area renders these boots useless at temperatures 20 Fahrenheit and below. Walking in snow these boots get cold at any temperature.
