Created a Large, Safe INDOOR Play Area for Babies and Toddlers
August 26, 2015
I purchased this pool for a totally different purpose than for swimming and it's been great! We have two twin grandsons who have begun crawling and pulling up recently. We use this pool on our boat dock and in our living room to keep these babies contained in a safe way. There are three air chambers for the sides and it's deep enough that the tots can't climb or fall out. We use a folded up bedspread to cushion the bottom and have thought about getting a piece of foam cut to fit the bottom, too. The pool is very large so two adults can easily get in to play with the babies. I'm sure it would make a great pool, but for our purpose as a large, safe play area, it's been AWESOME! It's worked so well, I just purchased a second one for the babies' parents to use at their house. **** see attached photo of how we're using it
updated to 5 stars after receiving the new one
July 14, 2015
first of all, I recommend you put a tarp underneath to protect it. Second of all, put it on a flat surface. This is s big pool, if your ground is sloping, you'll have 3" on one end, and 12" at the other end. I'm having issues with the first pool I got, the bottom chamber needs to be pumped on daily basis, so once I receive the replacement, I'll update my review. The middle and top chambers I have to pump up every 2 days, which is not too bad. You'll need to get electric pump with this item, don't try to do it manually....Other than that I bought some chemicals to keep it clean so that I don't have to change the water every few days, and also I recommend putting a pan with water by the pool, so that the kids step in that first to clean off their feet before getting inside. I know it's a drag, but otherwise you'll need a pool vacuum, because your water will be dirty with dirt, grass...I also cover it at night with a tarp I already had sitting in the garage, just use 4 bricks to hold it down.*update* - I did receive the replacement, and this time all 3 chambers hold the air just fine; the pool has been in use for 4 days now and I haven't had to put more air in. The inconvenience part was having to ship the old pool back. Amazon covered that charge, but you can never fold these things the way they were before and make them fit in the box. So I shipped it back in the cardboard box I received the new one in and shoved it in the Intex box as much as I could and just left that box open; it fit fine in the cardboard box. I didn't know how picky they'd be about returning in original packaging...my kiddo loves it and uses this every day. I'm considering buying a little pool vacuum too, because just the chemicals is not enough. there's still dirt on the bottom of the pool that makes the water look dirty (but at least smells like a clean pool)Hope that helps.
and it works great! There seems to be a teensy leak between ...
July 13, 2015
It was in the low 100s here last week and I saw that my neighbors bought one of these. I immediately *knew* I had to have one too. I live in a townhouse with a brick patio out back and this fit perfectly! I swept the patio really well and laid down a tarp. I did buy a $30 inflator from Home Depot to blow this up along with a sheet of clear plastic for around $3 to cover the top of the pool, and it works great! There seems to be a teensy leak between the top 2 chambers but after 3 days I haven't noticed a large amount of deflation. Hey, it's a $29.99 pool (at least on Amazon Prime it was) and as such my expectations aren't very high. It does come with a repair patch that I will eventually use when that spot is dry. I don't mind re-inflating once a week if need be. I also bought an air mattress and noodle for this pool, along with some chlorine chemicals to help prevent algae growth. I hear one teaspoon every couple of weeks does the trick so that's what I did.I predict I will have a rockin' suntan by the end of summer. I was bemoaning these hot days, and now I can't wait for them to return in full force!
used for my dogs
June 16, 2015
So far so good. I bought this for my two Golden retrievers and they love it. The pool is strong enough that they have yet to pop it. I also like that to empty the water don't bother with the valve at the bottom. We just open the air valves and the water just pours off the sides. The pool emptied in seconds. The price is great for this pool. I figured I would try it since I couldn't find a pool for dogs that was deeper than ankle deep.
Pretty nice pool
August 14, 2013
The vinyl on this pool was much heavier and appears to be sturdier than I would have expected for the price I paid which was a nice surprise. The 3 rings which comprise the outer walls are comfortable and strong enough to lean against. We used a small electric air pump (from an inflatable mattress) to inflate the pool and it was up in just a few minutes. Our grandchildren are 9 & 5 and there is enough room for even me to join them with space to splash around in ... but not really big enough for even the little one to actually swim in it. They usually only visit one day a week so we need to have something we can take up & down easily. This was just the right size for our purposes. Our yard appears to be level but even a slight variation makes a difference on this type of pool. This becomes readily apparent when one fills it to the max. One spot we put it in must be a bit steeper that we thought because when filled fairly high the side wall of the pool kept trying to bow out and spill water over the side. This did not happen in more level parts of the yard. There are 3 air plugs( one for each ring) that took a bit of practice to get them in securely. However, once tightly in place there were no discernible air leaks. At $20.00 This pool is a terrific value.
great summertime pool for the kids
August 20, 2011
this pool serves it's purpose very well. it gives the kids lots of time to play outside in it, splash, float and have lots of fun. Besides having not an easy job to clean it out every 3 days about by emptying it manually by opening all 3 air holes, emptying the water and then cleaning the bottom of it with soap and a sponge..i let the kids do all that and they LOVED it. they liked blowing it back up too with the air pump we had from a past pool that broke. we kept warning the kids not to run around the pool with bikes or scooters so they wouldn;t fall on the pool accidentally & pop it like our old one. so far this has lasted us the whole summer cause we were careful. We definately enjoyed it tremendously. i'd reccommend it to others cuz the size is nice..it;s not a baby tiny pool and not a too bigish or deep pool. it was great for my 5 year old, seven year old and nine year old!!!!! & good price

This pool is simply AWESOME with one minor but aggravating problem
June 20, 2016
This pool is simply AWESOME with one minor but aggravating problem! (The reason for only 4 Stars and not 5) All 3 chambers leak air .... no matter how tightly I push each of the two air inlets/outlet plugs. nothing seems to work. Next I will try to cover each plug with a thin coat of bearing grease in the hope that this will stop the leaks. That is, of course that it IS the plus that leak and not the seams. The leaks are not terrible but they do loose about half the air in about 72 hours. Otherwise this pool deserves 5 Stars without a doubt!
Overall love it. Fast to inflate with power inflater
August 2, 2015
Overall love it. Fast to inflate with power inflater. Not too long to fill. It's large enough for me to have a small lounger in it so i don't have to sit totally in it but still stay cool. Couple issues why not a five: 1) The plugs for the air chambers don't always stay in. they seem sturdy and well made, but for some reason pop out sometimes and make you lose the air. 2) The water drain has opposite problem. Dosn't stay open so you have to hold it for water to drain. I find it easier to deflate the bottom chamber and let the water overflow out of the top. 3) Seems you have to deflate and rinse out every couple days or week to keep clean.. I bought an intex cover which hellps but the cover is a bit of a pain to work with..I also bought chrlorine floater which I just starting using today so hope that will help too. I tried to get a pump that others I thought said they used with this pool, but I don't see how since this pool has no inside filter holes for which to took up the pump,so I returned that. Overall for the price it's a good buy, just requires a little maitneance
Great pool but watch air valves.
July 9, 2015
Great quick pool for kids. It's been durable so far with my two year old twins. It went up really quickly with my Coleman air pump. My only complaint is the three air vales pop open really easily. Especially with my kids going in and out of the pool a lot.
Great size but always a slow leak somewhere.
August 25, 2013
This is the third one I buy.The first got shredded by raccoons who got stuck in (saw the foot prints). The second lasted a season and a half. The 2nd season the bottom two rungs had slow leaks and had to be manually pumped daily in order not to have to waste and refill the water. On it's last legs,it deflated enough to let over half the water out over night. But it was colder so the air did compress more. But due to the extremely functional size that easily fits two lounging adults or three active preschoolers or two preschoolers and a huge floating crocodile, we ordered two more: one for home and one for the cabin. The cabin one is perfect yet the top rung of ours has a slow leak but since it doesn't have the pressure of containing water, is much easier to pump back up.Despite the frequent air leaks, I still like the product and would recommend it to friends, who always ask where to get one anyways. The walls are high enough to sit against and keep younger toddlers from climbing in. The walls are also thick enough for kids to perch on. And if you put interlocking foam mats underneath, you preserve the plastic and have a much more comfortable base to sit and walk on.
Great for summer fun
August 21, 2013
This pool was great for my kids and their friends to cool off during the hot Texas summer. Unfortunately it got a hole in it after the first use though. A quick patch up and they were back to splashing around like crazy. I checked out the measurements but hadn't realized how big it was until I inflated it. It was perfect for my 3 older kids (7, 6, 5) and two of their friends. We also used it blown up in the living room with pillows and blankets for our movie night.

1st one is GREAT, 2nd one was disappointing
July 19, 2016
We purchased this pool around Christmas time and filled it with plastic balls for our boys to play in. Now that summer is here my boys enjoy it in the backyard and they enjoy it so much that I decided to buy another one to set up at their grandparents home, where they spend their day while I'm at work. The minute it was set up the 2 top tiers deflated and would not hold air. My father attempted to find the source of the leak to patch it to no avail. The pool is now sitting back inside it's box and to be honest it probably will never be returned due to lack of time and effort on my part.
Not an ideal ball pit. ;)
February 17, 2016
I realize my intended use for this product is not "per label", so take this with a grain of salt. It's a decent pool, easy to blow up, nice and big. However, the valves do not stay closed. You'd hope there would be a locking mechanism or twisting mechanism to help secure the valves and hold in the air. No such luck. If you do but this for a ball out, plan on duct taping the holes. Oh, and it takes about 1000 balls to cover the bottom. Good luck.
It inflated easily enough and held water
October 2, 2015
We used this several times this summer. It inflated easily enough and held water. All in all, it did the job. The kids were happy because they could get wet.At one point we had some kind of red growth happen in the pool overnight. We cleaned it up, but the red stained the plastic bottom and has remained for the rest of the summer. We were never able to keep the top ring taut. We'd fill it with air and over the course of 6 hours it would become limp.
$25 and it lasted 2 days before the sides caved and leaks popped up so if you don't keep the cost factor in mind you will likely
August 5, 2015
Considering the cost of most things to do with kids, this is a bargain. $25 and it lasted 2 days before the sides caved and leaks popped up so if you don't keep the cost factor in mind you will likely be disappointed. We set it up inside a screened enclosure on a concrete floor with a astro turf mat underneath. Perhaps outdoors on the ground it would last longer. We bought another one a few weeks later at Target and it did the same thing, but we got out $25 worth. (actually $18 because it was end of summer sale at Target)
great size, but we had a seam split open.
August 18, 2014
Great pool EXCEPT the second time we inflated it, one of the seams cracked open, allowing air to escape. One patch is provided in the package, which I used but a few hours after inflating and filling the pool with water, it started leaking again. Since there are 3 chambers that inflate separately, water still stays in the pool but it looks funny and I'm returning for another one in hopes that it works better!Other than that, it's nice and big - plenty of room for even 4-6 adults to lounge around and cool off! It would probably seem like an olympic-sized swimming pool to an actual kid :)
Summer is Coming
April 16, 2013
Ordered this pool early because of the great price. Super fast shipping also. I have had several intex pools. I started years ago with this size and worked up to the 16' round 48" deep. Well I took the big one down due to cost vs the use of it. So purchased the small one again for the young kids. They will have a blast in it because they will be able to stand and play now. What I have noticed is this is a very thin pool not like the original intex pools. I do not look for it to hold up long because of this reason. With the test run I did I notice what others have said. The inside seams tend to leak the water to the inside chambers. But again for the 20 dollars invested here it will be fine and disposable at summers end...if it makes it till the end. However I am a intex fan and will always buy their products. They have made this line to make it affordable for All families to be able to offer a pool to their kids. The next one will be the thicker lined wall but have no fear it will be an intex pool. They are very durable brand.

Not A Happy Swimmer
June 3, 2017
This is the 3rd or 4th one we've had. We get the same one every year. I ordered early so they would still be in stock.A month or so later I inflated the pool and used it about 2 hrs when the bottom ring started to deflate. I emptied the pool and investigated. One of the seams was not joined properly. I tried using the patch but it didnt seal correctly since it was right on the seam. I cant return this since it is outside the return window, and they are out of stock anyway. NOT HAPPY.
Be prepared to re pump a lot.
June 2, 2017
Edit:After having it up for a month it is trash. Now the top ring is leaking and bottom one deflates within 12 hours so water leaks out. It just sits and fills with algae. This pool is a really nice size. It is perfect for my 1.5 year old since we didn't fill it all the way and he can run around swim and not worry about drowning or wearing a life vest. HOWEVER we have to pump it up every other day! It deflates so much that the water almost comes out. Also highly recommend a cover. I got the $15 intex one and it works well. But it gets dirty really fast so we are looking to buy a skimmer and even some chlorine tabs because it holds way too much water to refill and wash out everytime it gets dirty.
Looks good, but HORRIBLY designed air valves and DOES NOT stay inflated!
November 18, 2015
Pros:- Large size- Three separate chambers for inflation allowing for some flexibility/adjustability in terms of height- Appears to be relatively high quality with an attractive designCons:- Horribly designed air inflation valves. The valves are NEAR IMPOSSIBLE to close securely. I literally had to squeeze the valve with all my strength to try to close it securely, and given that the valve needs to be securely closed AFTER it is inflated (duh....) makes the design even more frustrating. With the pool fully inflated, you only have very little leverage to push the valve top closed, which probably means that some type of screw design would have been better. Instead, you are left with a push close valve with poor fitment.- Pool DOES NOT maintain inflation for long. Even with the valves securely closed (which is hard enough already), the pool becomes noticeably deflated within 24 hours.
Trying to find air leaks that are causing pool sides to collapse and dump the water.
November 17, 2015
10 feet long and 6 ft wide. This pool takes up more room than you might imagine when first ordering. Plan where you are going to put it carefully because it has to be on a flat location....no inclines.I would like it very much but mine has got one or more air leaks. If I can't find them today I am going to return it and not order another. I set it up two days ago, put in 6-8 inches of water but the next morning two of the 3 air chambers had partially deflated and most of the water had run out. I did a cursory look for air leaks but could not see or hear any. I filled it again with about 8 inches of water. The second night I braced each of the two long sides with a chair and when I got up this morning two of the air chambers had partially deflated, but with the chairs as support the sides didn't totally collapsed and the water did not run out.Even if I get a refund I am going to lose more than $60. I spent over $20 on outdoor carpeting to protect it from the concrete slab underneath. Also, I purchased a solar blanket to raise the water temperature from 55 degrees to 65 -70 degrees. I won't be able to return them so I will lose those investments.I am currently emptying the water (with a siphon into my pool) and most of the air... and I am going to put it in my 55 degree pool so that I can submerge it to look for air leakage. It is going to be a cold and tedious job.I will give a progress report later this evening.
Looks great but outcome is not so good
July 25, 2015
I purchased this to be able to lounge outside in the hot sun. I filled it to the max line today and followed instructions as enclosed. It was wonderful for the hour I was in it. I purchased a cover for it and installed that as well. I just went outside, about 3-4 hours after leaving it, and it is apparent the bottom part is leaking air already. Once it has drained I will attempt to search for a hole but I feel it is not the best quality of product when I literally laid in the pool today. I will try to buy a pool patch to see if that doesn't help but am sad it did not last more than once use. That is a lot of water wasted. My initial thoughts were that it would last a long time because it felt like good quality material.
Lasted 45 minutes
June 11, 2014
The longevity of this pool is way below standard. My 4 and 5 year old were able to use it for about 45 mintues before it started to rain. When I went out after the storm, the pool had collapsed on one side. I thought this might have been due to the storm and refilled the pool, added some more air and rechecked the valves. Once the water reached the desired water level the pool side collapsed again. I didn't expect it to last past summer but, I sure expected it to last a couple of months at least. It's inexpensive but it is also cheap.

Leaking air on second use.
June 26, 2017
We got one real use out of it. The second time I blew it up, the bottom ring was leaking so the pool started collapsing by the time it was filled with water.Update: Took my chances and bought another hoping it was a fluke. Second pool worked one time. On the second use the top ring was leaking. Two pools, two uses. Trash.
Cheap and No Guarantee...
August 9, 2016
As I did another product, I purchased this well in advance for my daughter's birthday party (so I was prepared). After inflating and filling with water, and before the party even started, the upper chamber (that you see with the white border on top) began losing almost all of the air. Water did not stay inside and the whole thing was a flop. No pool for the little girls and now I can't return it because it's past the return deadline. Where's the guarantee?
This pool was horrible. It arrived in good time because of Prime ...
July 23, 2016
This pool was horrible. It arrived in good time because of Prime but after blowing it up it began losing air later that evening. Each day it had to be blown up again, once first thing in the morning and then usually before bed. After a couple of days of this, we discovered a pin hole and patched it with the enclosed "small" patch, thinking we had resolved the problem. No....the next day, the twice a day routine had to continue. We can't locate any more holes but clearly there is a problem because it should not lose air this frequently. We are not impressed with the valve where you blow it up. First of all, there are three separate plug holes to blow up. Secondly, it is just a pull tab that you remove to blow up and then quickly fold back tab with the plug. It doesn't create a good seal so we don't know if this is where "some" of the air loss generates from or not. In past similar products the seal has been a screw-in plug to ensure a good seal. Oh, by the way, this pool has never been filled with water. We purchased it to house day old chicks. Just in case you may think..."that's probably how you got the hole", think again. The one hole we've been able to locate was on the outside, very top rolled edge. The chicks can't even come close. As far as it working great for our purposes to house our chicks, that has been great. If we just didn't have to blow it up multiple times a day!!!!!
Not worth it ...
July 1, 2016
Didn't last a week! The top part started losing air (and no longer was able to hold air.) the day after I inflated it, I still continued to use it despite it being deflated. A few days later, the bottom part deflated and all the water leaked out of the pool from the side. I never even filled it to the 'max' line, so I know putting too much water in was not the issue, the pool in general is defective. Waste of money, time, and water!
Wow.
August 27, 2013
We've had three others of this type of pool, so I expected this one to at least get us through the last month of summer. Well, was I ever wrong. We didn't air it up for our four very young granddaughters until three weeks ago. Within a couple of days it was sagging and water starting running out. My husband thought thought he'd possibly under-filled it since they all come with a "do not overfill" disclaimer. Dumped about 3 tons of water. Started over. Same thing, only sooner. Hmmm. Maybe the plugs weren't in securely enough. Same story, third verse. It's now on our patio (with protective mats underneath, I might add, for protection), looking like a big giant rabbit with all the air scared out of it. Soooo disappointed. Of course, after using it, there's no way it could be re-boxed and sent. Too bad. First time failure with these pools.
won't stay inflated!!
July 18, 2013
Straight out of the box, first use--it won't stay inflated. The problem is a design issue: these new plugs for the air valves that are attached, create a very tentative weak seal and the air leaks. I thought it was me and I re-inflated and pushed harder on the plugs to get a tight connection and that didn't work.. Tried taping the valves down, but no matter what I do, with water in the pool, it slowly deflates. I spoke w/ my elderly mother who ordered the same pool for her dog and she was having the same problem - she tried wine corks and duct tape? I am very frustrated because this seems to be the 'new' style for most inflatable pools and it just doesn't hold up to normal (definitely not vigorous) use. I miss the old type of valve that had an inner plug and then a screw top to keep the inner plug ...in. Why did these get changed!? martha
