Best above ground pool we've ever bought
August 8, 2017
This is a great pool! I ordered it back in May and I wanted to give it a little while before I reviewed it. It was super easy to set up. We just leveled the ground, pulled out the wrinkles, aired up the sides and filled it up. Excellent pump that comes with it, by the way. After all of this time, the only chemicals I have put in the pool are chlorine tablets and 1 package of shock it, and I've only changed the filter once. We keep the chlorine tablets in a floater and I put a new one in every week. I shocked it once after a heavy rain and haven't had to do anything else so far.
Good

I ordered the 12x30. Its easy to setup, comes with instruction manuals, instruction DVD, the pool & the pump. You will need a hand or foot pump to inflate the top ring, and if your yard has stickers you will need to purchase a tarp. This pool also don't come with a cover so that maybe something you will want to buy later on. This size is good for 3-4 people. We also have a 5lb yorkie that has her own dog floaty that she floats around on but we don't let her on the inflatable top ring as her claws could puncture it. Overall it's a good pool, perfect for just cooling off and lounging it but it should really come with a small hand pump for the inflatable top ring and every size optionneeds to come with at least a ground cover tarp.
Great Pool, but not easy-set if your ground is not level
July 8, 2017
Great pool, we got it for a great price so it has definitely been worth it.There are 3 things to stress if you are thinking of purchasing this pool, Level. Level. Level. You can't just "wing it" and hope your ground is level. You need to check it with a level. My yard seemed level, but it actually took us 3 days to get the yard level, (a royal pain) but once that that part was complete, set up was not too bad.We have been enjoying the pool for 2 weeks, and so far it has been great. We bought the Intex salt water system to work with the filter and all we needed was four 40 lb bags of salt. Love it.
Super Pool!

We love our intex pool! Get a saltwater and sand filter. Fits five family members age 12 to 56 easily. I recommend buying a more substantial pool ladder. The one it comes with works but not super sturdy.
Cool down fast and easy with this pool!

Great Pool! Bought this to replace our 8ft Intex. Easy to put up and maintain. Love it!
Easy entry point into pool ownership.
June 25, 2016
The very first thing to note is 2 things. First, the pool is great. You can't go wrong here. Second, keep in mind, it's not just the pool you'll need. The this version of the pool comes with a pump, necessary hoses, and 2 filters. Intex sells additional filters as singles or in a pack of 6. The filters you need are: Intex 29000E/59900E.We bought the 12 foot version in May of 2016. It's worked great so far. It took about an hour to setup. I used a tarp underneath which Intex does not recommend, but we did it anyway to protect the bottom. It took about 3-4 hours to fill up the pool. This one comes with the pump and filter setup which is a must to keep the water clean. We also bought some basic pool chemicals, and both available covers by Intex. The cover we use the most is the solar cover. Where we live its around 90-100 degrees F daily. You should also have a strainer for this pool to get the leaves and larger organic matter out of the pool. The included pump/filter setup is really just the get the stuff the strainer can't get.As far as having flat ground, Intex makes a big deal about having this pool level. See the picture of our setup. It's basically like a big bag, so think of what happens when you fill a bag with water on an uneven surface. It's going to roll to one side a bit. In my case the ground is about 4 inches lower on one side than the other. The pool still works fine in my opinion, just the water is not as deep as it could be, but I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old. The 2 year old can touch the bottom with ease yet the pool is still deep enough to for my 4 year old to swim laps and for my 6.5 foot frame to swim under water.I've never maintained my own pool before so I got some water test strips, PH booster, and Chorine Sanitizer. I have to put about 1/3 cup chlorine in per week. Go easy on the PH booster because using that will increase the Total Alkalinity, I recommend the Clorox pool products. Intex recommends you change the filter every 2 weeks. The first time I changed the filter at two weeks I saw surprised at how much gunk was in it. It seems like you could clean it yourself to extend the life of the filter but will try that next time. For a season Intex sells a six pack of filters so I bought that as well. For the cost the pump is clearly cheap, but seems to be well made considering the limit budget for materials. The pump on the 12 foot pool will filter 500 gallons per hour so you should plan to leave it on for at least 3 hours on most days. Also bought Intex's foot bath to wash the feet before getting in the pool (shown in picture). That helps to keep the junk out.Final price including a few pool Toys was about $350, including the $79 for the pool. So expect to pay more than just the cost of the pool, but after searching all over for an above ground temporary pool (one with no frame and expensive pump/filter setups) I can't be happier so far with this one. Just the thing we needed to keep cool in the summer and provide some fun for the kids.Aug 2016 update:Everything is going great. At one point, I had a problem with Green Algae, but apparently so did the pools in Rio for the Olympics. I n my case the problem ended up being too much Stabilizer, which prevented the Chlorine from doing it's job. I ended up replacing my chemicals and tester strips. Make sure your test kit includes a test for Stabilizer. I purchased the AquaChek 551236 7-Way 100 Count Pool Water Test Strips and I'm very happy with those.

Sturdy
May 9, 2017
Seems much more sturdy than the El Cheapos I see sold here at the local Wal Mart and hardware stores. (We have no local pool supply folks, so you make do with what's available)Can't speak as to durability - the sun and pool chemicals just eat these things up in a few years anyway. I can say that it doesn't bend around with a heavy load of leaves in it (Used it this weekend to open the pool and clean it out).
Best net on the market.
March 28, 2017
Fantastic design. During the winter rains, hundreds of earth worms and grubs wiggle and crawl into our pool to commit suicide. I know that Oregon winters can get depressing, but a watery death is not the solution. This net does a great job of sweeping up the critters and leaves. I love the deep pocket of this net.
Cuts work time in half
November 21, 2016
I have a really bad back and have always put off trying to skim leaves out of the pool, but after the recent hurricaine Mathew I needed something so I ordered this and although its super heavy once you get the leaves in it, it really gets a lot out at one time. It slides right along the bottom seamlessly and it cut the work load in half due to all the leaves you can get at once. I would recommend this to anyone in need or troubled by leaves in the pool.
Go ahead and buy this.
July 18, 2016
I have ordered a couple of these before. This is a reasonably priced net. My local pool store is twice as expensive for pool products as what I find online and they don't even have much selection. I buy most of my pool supplies on Amazon. The shape of the rim on this help to scoop up leaves from the bottom of the pool. The reason these tear is because my pool needs to be resurfaced so the pool surface is pretty rough. But, that is my problem it's not the skimmer's fault. I recommend this.
great purchase, happy i went with Amazon on this rather than Leslies
April 13, 2016
works great, hold a lot of leaves and material seems like it will hold up for a whileWe get a lot of leaves in our pool in the Fall, like most other folks. I needed something that would get them all out quickly and the skimmer wasn't going to cut it. I'm very happy I bought this and the shipping was QUICKPROS:1. Good quality2. holds a lot of leaves3. has a lip on the front so I can push along bottom and get even small leavesCons:1. can get heavy and difficult to push with long pole
Great for scooping up from bottom of pool
April 30, 2014
This was worth the money, the angle of the front edge is perfect for scooping debri, small branches, leaves from the bottom of our pool. I have a flat paddle screen for skimming the top floating leaves and this for the bottom stuff. I then use my vacuum to get the smaller stuff. Makes the work of cleaning go faster. I have a small splasher 12,000 gal pool.Additional: 6 months later, still holding up and great deal. The angle you scoop makes the difference literally it raises the debri off the bottom into the net. Anything stirred up and floating a foot or two off the bottom you just scoop. Pool cleaning takes work so don't complain about the product, the net works great. I'm impressed and will order another when this one needs replacing. Cleaning is easier and pool is cleaner which means I am saving money on chemicals.

Loved and hated it
September 1, 2017
The set up was pretty easy but you still have to level out your yard and put pack sand down for this to really work and for a temporary pool it was a little ridiculous. Next year we are just going too buy a real pool
Great pool for 9 & 13 yr olds to splash around in.
August 6, 2017
I got this pool for my 9 and 13 year old. Ever year we have something that they can splash around in when we couldn't get to the pool. Since they are older I came across the 12 foot pool. I am a do-it-yourself kind of person....so who needs instructions (though I did use it to put together the filter). Here is what I learned. If you want an maintenance-free pool that will not cost you anything but the pool....this is not for you. First you have to find the right spot. Since there are no level spots in our yard we put it on our back patio. Only to find out that when we filled the pool that the patio is not level but it works anyway.Since it is on concrete you HAVE to put something under it such as a tarp or foam pads to prevent small holes in the bottom of the pool. Once you have this set up inflate the top ring. Start to fill with water (it will take hours). As you are doing this attach the filter. Yes, it comes with extra parts.Once the pool is filled you will think “wow! This is great!” and the kids will hop in once it is warm enough. Your excitement will be short lived. Literally one day, you will look out and your “perfect” pool is suddenly “perfectly” green. So off you go to get chlorine for your amazing new pool. Since this pool is small you pick up the small chlorine dispenser for $6 and a container of 1” chlorine tabs for $18. (This will take you through the season just so you know). Little do you know that 1” chlorine tabs can be hard to find.......Home you go with your “solution” in hand. It doesn't work. Off you go to buy $15 test strips to figure out what is wrong. Turns out because you used well water you need to increase the PH. Without the proper PH your chlorine tabs are just eroding away and doing absolutely nothing to help with your green slop. So off you go to the $#@%&# store to pick up PH Up. Follow the instructions and now wait. It works!Next is the filter. Yup. It is there for a reason. I turn it on and it begins to filter all the algae that is floating around. Please keep in mind the pool is only 5 days old at this point. Suddenly you realize that you have to go back to the $#@%&# store to pick up another filter because the one you have is green. Feeling a bit strapped for cash you only pick up one. It isn't until you get home to find out that you actually have to replace the filter every 2 weeks. When you return to the store you realize that all the filters have been sold and that you look high and low around all the other stores and they don't have your size either.....grrrrr. It is not a powerful filter & leaks which is why I gave this a 4 star rating..Once the filter does it's magic you realize that there is a bunch of junk at the bottom of the pool. Back to the $#@%&# store you go. This time to pick up a “spa” vacuum. You read the instructions and don't believe it will actually work. Stick a hose in one end and a mesh bag on the other and it will vacuum everything up. Since vacuuming is not a favorite activity you also pick up a pool cover. So another $30 and you come home with your next solution. It works like a charm. Once it is all clear you put the cover on. Please note that the cover was the best investment!!!!Now summer is under way. The kids use the pool daily. Suddenly the ring deflates. I would love to blame the kids for it but that is not the issue. Turns out that our cat has decided that this 12 foot pool is his personal water dish. Walking on the ring is quite a talent and he needs his claws out to keep his balance so he does not fall in. He also enjoys using it as a spring board and makes a game of bouncing off of it. Because our patio is not 100% level one side is a bit lower than the rest. Once the ring deflated enough that side of the pool collapsed causing a tsunami of water rushing down the back yard muddying our small pond and drowning all small rodents who had any holes in the yard. I spent days trying to find the hole. I searched for “easy” ways to find a hole and none of them actually worked. What I finally did was I inflated the ring and put my ear to it and walked around the ring listening for a slight whistle. This worked. I used a permanent marker and circled the hole (so in the future if my patch comes off I can find it again). Out to the $#@%&# store again. I find self-stick patches (yes these work and are less annoying than dealing with patches and glue!). Once applied we are back in business. Until it happens again. Since listening the first time worked I went around and found the hole within 2 minutes...dried it and patched it.Please note that the cover not only keeps leaves and debris out it also keeps animals from drowning in your pool. Turns out that our cat issue is a normal issue for folks with cats or with neighbor cats.Overall, once we got through our learning process we love this pool! The sides and bottom are sturdy for my girls. You can go to the pool store for advice but they do not carry any parts for this pool. I can't blame the product for the holes in the ring since it clearly is not a product issue but an animal one. Easy to set up (once you have the spot). Filter is so-so. I will probably upgrade that for next year. It is deep enough for my girls to use inflatable floats to float around on. We got this early in the season so we got it for a discount! Fast shipping. All of the issues with this pool has been user caused not product caused. Highly recommend this pool!
Nice pool to cool off in!
July 27, 2017
This is a nice pool and very large however I think I was expecting it to be a little deeper. It clearly says it's 30 inches but I thought that might be deeper than it was. If I sit flat on my bottom the water only comes up to about shirt pocket high. It's enough to float in and cool off. Also mine came with a very small pinpoint hole in it but I used some Flex Seal tape to cover it and have not had any problems since.
Great pool for the value.
July 14, 2017
This pool is an exceptional value for the money. I've had it for about 6 weeks now, and it's sturdy and has held up to some very hot weather and some very hard rains. The filter it comes with isn't very good, but works fine as long as you run it enough, and do your part to clean and care for your pool. Maintaining a pool this size requires some every day maintenance, chemicals, and cleaning, but it's worth it to have an affordable oasis in your back yard. The setup was pretty easy, though challenging for just one person. I'm a tall strong lady and managed by myself, but it would have gone quicker and easier with an extra set of hands.I'm confident that with the level of care I've been giving this pool, I'll get at least another season of enjoyment out of it.
Great if your willing to put in the effort
July 8, 2016
This is my 4th purchase of this pool in the last 6 years. My first time through Amazon (usually through Academy). It is holding up well and I have 11 grand kids that give it a run for it's money all summer long. There are pros and cons on different pieces of this pool. The pool (body) itself is sturdy, easy to set up and the inflatable ring works to keep the pool balanced. It must be level to start with. I put a load of sand under mine and then spray weed killer on the sand and a foot around the circumference the day before I set up the pool (nut grass can grow up through the liner.) You must clean under the inflatable rim on a weekly basis, however, to keep algae and debris from gathering under it. Just hand the kids a regular kitchen sponge and have them go around and scrub under the rim a couple of times a week. Prevention is way easier than trying to get rid of yucky stuff later. You MUST learn how to take care of the water if you want anypool to stay swimable and quite honestly the pumps that come with this one are not so good, especially if you live somewhere hot like I do (Texas.) In my opinion and experience, the pump that comes with this pool does not turn the water over enough even if you run it longer than the suggested run time. I upgraded my pump to a Hayward AG pump 3 years ago and mine stays crystal clear. A good test kit can be your savior and test (available here on Amazon about $17) the water at least every two days. Do not let the pool stores talk you into tons of chemicals either. Get the conditioner on the opening up and then just make sure the chlorine and PH stay in a good level. A good help place is[...] These guys are very helpful and their advice is free.I own a catfish pool vacuum and it is great for getting junk that settles on the bottom. The pool does not come with a vacuum, skimmer or net. You will need these things if you want the pool to stay clean and last the entire, or more than one season. The ladders get a little weakened as well if you have heavier people in your family and if your grand kids don't mind and jump off of it constantly. All in all this pool is worth the money and is good quality. It is worth the $ to me. Don't think, however that you are just going to set it up and be done with it. It does require work and daily diligence to keep it sparkling. PS Intex's customer service SUCKS!

It has many holes!
May 26, 2017
It's a fine basket. But I don't see what's so "heavy duty" about it. It rips up as easily as the non-heavy duty ones... in the end it does what it's supposed to but most of these pool baskets don't last more than a few months before they're full of holes (big ones).
Slide-able
May 9, 2017
The material of this net frame is perfect to allow it to slide easily across the pebbletech surface of my pool. My previous net appeared to have a better construction, but it had a rubber scoop lip on the front that made it impossible to slide. I am a little worried about the long term integrity of the net as it is a little thin and it is molded directly into the frame. This creates a sharp transition that I expect will result in a tear as it wears.
Sturdy and Pretty Effective
May 8, 2016
Works pretty good - sometimes has trouble getting all the debris off the pool floor (pebble tec), especially twigs and flat leaves, but otherwise, works better than most other products I've tried. Feels pretty sturdy, too. The bag shape/design hold a lot of debris and empties easily. Recommended.
A good buy!
August 28, 2015
Great net. Decided to go with one a few dollars more because we knew we would be using it so much through the year. When the first one came it had a hole in it, right at the seam and I was thinking "great!" But I chose to replace it and the transaction was flawless. They sent a new one out even before they received the old one. So it was only a day wait without the net to use. The new net came and has been very sturdy. It has some glue and net on the plastic but after all it wasn't very much money. It does its job fantastic and the C/S was exceptional. It a good buy!
Decent heavy duty skimmer bag. It's a lot more ...
July 27, 2015
Decent heavy duty skimmer bag. It's a lot more rigid than anything else I've been able to find, which helps when removing heavy debris. My pool is near a wooded area so I get lots of leaves in the bottom. After a major storm they start to pile up and this attachment does the job.Two minor downsides:1. It is an all-plastic attachment, so I'm not sure how many seasons it will last in the long term.2. The mesh holes are a little bigger than most skimmer nets so it doesn't catch very small debris particles.
Good product

I have 14" x 5' limestone slabs as coping for my inground 20'x40' pool. The poolside edge of the limestone coping is a rough cut. for some reason pieces of the limestone have been flaking off the edge and into the pool pretty much ever since I installed the coping. I wish I knew why this is happening. My brother in law has the exact same pool and hasn't had a problem with his limestone coping. Anyway, some of the pieces of limestone are rather large and my automatic pool cleaner wasn't picking them up. I couldn't vacuum them up either because I was afraid the stone chips might get caught somewhere in my skimmer lines going to the pump. So I bought this. I have used it 2-3 times already and seems to be of good construction. It fits a standard skimmer pole and the mesh basket is a good size. Oh, and I use it for leaves too which works as advertised. I would recommend it. By the way, if anyone reading this has any thoughts on why my limestone coping is falling apart, please e-mail me: bagit95@aol.comThanks.5-5-15 Update: I can't believe its been 5 years. Anyway, I just pulled this out of storage and tried to use it the other day as I was opening the pool (and still have issues with my limestone coping) and it was cracked. I noticed the plastic is eroding as well. Still works but not as well being part of it has cracked. I will however buy another one as the price is right and 5 years for any kind of pool equipment is pretty good.

Pinhole leaking water when setup
July 7, 2017
Arrived quickly. Box was slightly worn and torn. Two persons needed to set up. It's important to have a flat level surface. We placed the tarp on grass and will see if the grass grows through the bottom. I am glad I read all the write ups about this pool so I could be on the look out for leaks. When we started filling with water 3/4 of the way filled we noticed a pinhole opening. We quickly patched. The patch on the outside of the pool didn't work so we patched the inside & that didn't work. So far we have repatched the outside area three times. Haven't set up the ladder yet but will use the recommendation to set a wash bucket to clean feet prior to climbing up the steps. We watched utube videos of this pool prior to setup. Later in the season when it's been up and used we will add to this review.
Not as deep as they advertise
July 2, 2017
Bought the 12x30 pool for my girls. The pool is easy to setup, but buyers should be aware that the 30 in pool only has a water depth of 24in according to the seller(mine is only 21in deep).
Don't expect help from Intex.
June 27, 2017
There was no ladder and on all booklets and package says don't call retailer call us. Well that is a joke first off the girl that answered the phone barely spoke English after being put on hold forever they said they would never send out without ladder and Amazon must have taken it out cuz it was heavy. Thank God for Amazon they were helpful and courteous and gave me a gift card for a ladder. Unfortunately the ladder I ordered was also messed up but thats another story/bad review. The pool it's self I'd have to give a 5 star and the filter is okay but seems a little weak. Setting up was easy enough just pay close attention leveling it. We came in a quarter inch of level, yah. The kids enjoyed it yesterday cuz we could lift them in and out. The whole ladder thing is just turning into a pain and weather will be hot tomorrow so I'm putting more money out to buy one today and waiting to see if I get my money back on the other one.

Not so easy
August 30, 2016
Great material for a pool, nice concept. But this is so heavy that setting up was not easy. Three of us could not get the wrinkles out of the bottom because we didn't have enough strength to pull on the sides enough to straighten everything out correctly. The wrinkles are only a bit of a bother, the pump works, we use it because the weather has been so HOT.
Was good but dont know what caused the air ring to deflate
July 6, 2016
Only giving 3 stars because I am not sure if there is a leak in the air tube or stupid stray cats popped it. Could never find a hole. Can't return because we set it up, drained it to clean it then set it back up today and I just walked outside and the ring was deflated and the water was draining out. My kids are going to be so sad tomorrow because I am forced to throw it away and I'm out $90 now.

Mediocre at best
July 17, 2017
Seems sturdy enough for the price, with a very large net and opening for catching max debris on the warter's surface. However, scooping stuff like leaves from the bottom is difficult. The way the scoop is designed, it just fails to dependably pick up items off the bottom. I give it a solid "meh."
Good for scooping up leaves from the bottom of pool
April 8, 2017
Good for scooping up leaves from the bottom of pool. The leading edge is angled so it acts like a shovel. It works. But I would not call it Pro Heavy Duty. The plastic is a bit cheap, the bag is not that sturdy. Hope it will last long if I don't store it out in the sun.
Average net . . .
March 3, 2017
I bought this based on the reviews and the price. Seems OK for the plastic frame but the net is very flimsy and has no shape. It constantly gets hung up in the opening when you turn the net. The netting should have a firmer shape or stiffness to it so it doesn't colapse on itself everytimg you sweep the net.
Good product, Failed to meet my needs.
August 20, 2016
I purchased this product in hopes of being able to skim the pool without the need to clean the skimmer until I was done. The catch bag should have done the job, but unfortunately the screen holes were large enough that it did not pick up the pesky gnats that collect at the top of the water. I gave three stars due to the product not meeting my needs, otherwise it is a quality product for retrieving weeds from the bottom of the pool.
Okay product
May 27, 2016
I broke it within 5 minutes. I say it is "okay" because the design was pretty good and you can get a lot of stuff with it. You just have to be careful and not ask too much of it. I won't buy another one but I have had several of these over the years and they are all about the same. So I say no big deal just get this one. It is as good as the others that are similar but it is not any better.
Good size and accepts a long handle
May 24, 2016
Good size and accepts a long handle, but that's the problem. I have several different click-to-lock-on handles for different brushes, dusters, and the like--and none fits this item. Perhaps, if someone already owned an item from this company's line, the handle might fit. Rather than order yet another pole, I jerry-rigged this skimmer with a screw-on broom handle, duct tape to follow, I'm sure.

Keep an Eye on the Price
August 6, 2017
First, purchasing this thing was a nightmare, but that was the fault of Amazon. Keep an eye on the price if you're going to buy this pool. It fluctuates wildly. When I ordered it, the price was 264. Two days later is was 169 and said it was marked down from 201, so it had changed every day. As of wring this, it's 279.Okay, on to the pool. I live alone and had to set it up by myself. I also had to do it in the dark because I have a giant tortoise who likes to 'help' me with anything that I do in the yard. The hardest part was filling the top ring. Not one pump in the house had the correct size nozzle. I played around with it for about 30 minutes before I decided to run over to the store for a new pump. Luckily, I spotted my shop-vac and realized I could reverse the hose and put it on the blower (Later saw this is not recommended) but was very careful to not over-inflate.It was also difficult getting the wrinkles out of the bottom so I could add water. It would have been MUCH easier if the bottom was a different color than the sides. As far as filling it, I had the hose running for 3 hours before I went to bed and it was a little less than half full. I had to run another 4 hours the next morning to get it completely filled, but it was perfectly level and balanced when I was done. The ladder is horrible. It is way too narrow and impossible to turn around on unless you're a small child. I fell the first time I used it. Luckily it was IN to the pool and not out. I'll just use a step stool from now on.The directions leave a lot to be desired. I was excited to see that there was a DVD, until I realized it was made by a sadist. The directions to put up the pool focus on the ring and getting it level, then it shows the thing filling. BUT, when you watch the directions for the pump, you see that you need to have THAT hooked up before adding water. The pump is MIA in the directions about filling the pool. Also, in the video about the pump, even though I selected the one for my pool, it didn't show the directions for MY pump. I didn't realize until I was done and looked at the paper directions that mine was set up incorrectly. It was perfect according to the DVD, and missing 3 parts according to the paper. Now I know why there were spare parts. All in all, the pool is large and I could see where kids would have a blast in it. I got mine to do some exercising without strain on my back and it looks like it will be great for that.Update - 9-24-17I got to use the pool about 5 times. Turns out that my intense motion sickness on rides extends to water. Every time I got in, or even near, the sloshing of the pool, I got sick. So, after letting it stay up for a month, I decided to take it down. This is where it goes from 3 stars to 2 stars.Trying to drain this thing is a nightmare. The drain hole is too high, so when the water level drops, there is still about 5 inches of water along the entire floor of the pool. That's a lot. I tried taking one end and pulling it toward the opposite side to make it drain, but it won't do it because of the shape of the pool. As the pool collapses, the top ring goes toward the center, so any water is now completely trapped. There is no 'side' to use as a drain. So. I now have it down to about 3 inches and it's dark and as soon as the sun comes up, my 175 pound tortoise will see the water and climb in. That will be the end of this pool.

Set was simple. Filled with water no problem. Used it the next day. Went to use it the next day and half the water had leaked out because the rim had sprung a leak. Very hard to find the leak without loosing more water which I have to pay for. Managed to find one leak and repaired it but there is still another leak as it will not hold the air. I am the only one using it so I have no idea why it leaks air.

July 21, 2017
My original pool to be delivered was "LOST" by UPS and so my pool was not delivered for more than 3 weeks when FedEx delivered. The pool had manufactured defects as the top air ring was not adhered to the pool in approx a 2 foot area and the water would leak out. I bought the tape advertised on TV to repair the pool because returning this 150 lb pool was not a realistic option. We continue to use the pool with minor leaks since my repair. You decide for yourself if it is worth the hassle and the money

The pool itself is just fine. Sets up easy with one person. No problems with fittings or folds. However! The filter pump included with this unit gave both my wife and I a bit of a shock upon entering the pool. The unit was plugged in, but the "Test" button on the GFCI was pressed. The pump was not running. Yet both of us got it. I unplugged the unit and the problem was solved.I have not contacted Intex for a replacement, and do not intend to. They have lost my trust with this inferior equipment. I will protect myself from it, and them.
Unhappy with this purchase
June 26, 2017
This pool seemed like a fantastic buy however, I set it up in my flat back yard and as the pool started to fill up, the water would tilt to one side and one side only. Even though the rim was pretty well inflated, the walls of the pool would not gradually rise as I believed they would. It was difficult for myself to try to set it up, the lining of the pool is very thick and I had no assistance other than myself to set it up. I am not sure if the pool was defected or what happened but I felt I had to return it because it did not turn out to be what I expected it to be, needless to say I was extremely disappointed. Perhaps if it came with side bars to hold it up it would've worked better.
I would not recommend this product to anyone that has kids
June 8, 2017
The pool holds water for a little while, but because of the design, the sides are flimsy and water escapes out whenever the kids go in it. I would not recommend this product to anyone that has kids. If you just want to float on a ring, its great.

Cheap.
October 8, 2017
I have had this net for about a month.First, the positives: it is very light weight and it moves easily through the water. Much more so than my last net, which lasted about 5 years. Also, it is inexpensive. That's it for the positives. Now, the negatives - it is cheaply made. The net fabric looks like it is glued to the plastic frame. I don't expect it to last through next summer. Also, the plastic frame which the net is glued to is not the same piece as the part that your pole will attach to. They are two separate parts that are (well, WERE) snapped together. Today, as I was scooping just a few leaves in my pool, the net frame fell off the pole. When I pulled the pole out to look at it, there was still a part of the net frame attached to the pole. The net frame piece had broken off from the "attach to the pole" piece! I managed to repair it with some bailing wire, but this is not something that I should have to do after only one month!I would not buy this net again. My recommendation is to spend more money for a better one.
Cheap Flimsy Bag
April 29, 2017
The bag is made of lightweight cheap nylon.(1) Because it is so light, it constantly floats upward allowing the contents to float away. More times than not, if I slow down the forward movement even a little, the bag the bag floats forward emptying the contents into the pool.(2) I have also had problems with the

It didn't really do the trick for me. I really needed more of a fine mesh for silt as this bag is designed for much larger debris.

September 25, 2015
I bought this to replace a stanley brand net with a metal rim. The plastic on this is so thick I can't leaves that are up against the tile line. That renders it nearly useless so I went back to the stanley and this is at the bottom of the bool box. It's also harder to drag through the water. 2 stars because at least it didn't break.
... this leaf bag as functional but it doesn't look like it's going to last long
June 8, 2015
I'd describe this leaf bag as functional but it doesn't look like it's going to last long. The piece that attaches to the pole pulled out of the head after about 2 weeks of usage. I can still use it after jamming it back on but it's an indication that this product is not going to last. I give it till the end of the season at best.
It may be a good product, but it wasn't for me
March 23, 2015
I received the product last week, and I was finally able to use it for the first time yesterday. I have to admit that I was not impressed at all. The pool rake was very heavy due to it's size. When I ran the rake/net across the bottom of the pool it would not pick up any leaves. Of course, the leaves in my pool are tiny and not very abundant this time of year, but none the less you would expect it to work better than the cheap net I got when I had the pool built. Needless to say I went back to my original net, and was able to get the leaves with no issue. If I could I would return the product due to my unhappiness with it.

Item Not Very Sturdy
September 2, 2017
We were very disappointed in this product. It had problems inflating at first, and then it only lasted about 2 months before it stopped inflating at all. We have it fully fenced in, so it was well protected. We assume it was probably already damaged when we got it and it just got worse over time. Our kids are so disappointed, since they loved the pool when it was working.

August 14, 2017
this was my second intex pool just alike this one didn't have the correct number of holes for the filtering system and then after it was filled up to the intake the hole is cut too big so it constantly leaks so next year I will have to modify but will have to put up with the constant leak because the cost of water to fill it up again would be more than the additions of water every other day or so. very dissatisfied with the quality because I had one before I know this should be better got a lemon pool hope the seams are sown better the the rest of the pool was measured and made. Will think twice about getting my third one from Intex
Expected it to last a couple of years but no..
August 13, 2017
Don't expect to get more than 1 season out of this pool.. Our first filter failed first time we put it up this year, thankfully it was under warranty and Intex replaced it. Then 2 of the hoses rotted and dumped 1/3 of the water out.. Hoses are very cheaply made. All season we have been having to blow the ring up every few days. Could not find any leaks other than the fill valve had a slow leak, no way to repair or patch that.. So after fighting the ring and finding the pool drained 6-8 inches every few days because the ring lost pressure we gave up and drained it..
Don't waste your money!!
August 3, 2017
Horrible horrible horrible! Can't believe I wasted money on this piece of crap. Had a leak right out of the box. Tried patching it and there was another one somewhere else. It said in the enclosed instructions there was a ground cover, nothing like that included. We had it set up for not even 10 days (while constantly trying to keep it filled) and after giving up and taking it down, the backyard smelled like something from the walking dead! Bought it for our kids to have something to cool off in but it was a janky piece of trash.
Very disappointed. Go with a metal supported pool.
July 19, 2017
My yard is very flat and it still wouldn't work. I don't see how people give this a good rating unless they live in a new community where the house was just built and the land hasn't settled yet. I didn't set it up right away because I was waiting for my grandchildren to come to town and now it's too late to return the pool. Very disappointed. Go with a metal supported pool.
leaking seams
June 20, 2016
I was very disappointed in this Intex product. We just put the pool up for the kids yesterday and all the seams started leaking. We are having trouble getting hold of someone at Intex to get us a replacement. I have had Intex pools before and never had problems but with this one it has been a headache.

Buy one with better quality
September 12, 2017
I just got this today to replace my really nice heavy duty net that wore out after 7 years.Well this is a really poor substitute. The net is not deep enough, so if you reverse direction instead of the net folding over and keeping the leaves in it opens up and the leaves float out. The leading edge is very soft plastic. I have a pebble tech bottom and after 5 mins of use about 1/4" of plastic is already gone. I won't return this because I have used it and it is what it is.... JUNK.Do not waste your money.
Net is glued on.
May 17, 2017
Poorly made. The rest seems to be sturdy however parts of the net are just glued on. I don't imagine this will last more than a week. I notified Amazon of damage and they sent another one free of charge-great customer service. However the second one is also messed up.
Junk product
April 29, 2017
Puchased this item. I really liked the way it felt, large capacity bag, felt well made. Used this net for about 20 min cleaning leaves from pool after big wind storm. When I was emptying net I noticed that the net was already torn. Didn't even survive 1 pool cleaning. Highly disappointed. Need to use better quality netting material and this thing would be awesome.
Cheap plastic breaks easily
May 2, 2016
We have had the net for 2 months and it already broke. When not in use the net stays in a box out of the sun. I was cleaning my pool today and the net broke off from the base that clips in to the pole.
We had high hopes.
August 24, 2015
This net is bigger than most and feels sturdy. But then the little metal rivet that holds the neck part to the net part fell off... somewhere. So now every once in a while the whole net just falls off of the pole.Actually to clarify: the net part falls off of the neck part. The neck part stayed attached to the pole. Why was this made into two pieces anyway?!
NOT Heavy Duty!!! Broke after 4-5 times of normal use!
April 17, 2015
Product Review - NOT Heavy Duty!!! Broke after 4-5 times of normal use!Heavy duty means solid construction of a product, durable material and withstanding unusual tension. The construction of the pole connector is definitely NOT Heavy Duty. It is attached to the rake by two small rivets. Unfortunately, one of the rivets came loose and the pole connector fell apart from the rake. I suppose I can use crazy clue or some sort to attach the connector back to the rake. But why claim "Professional Heavy Duty" if your product cannot withstand normal use?Amazon Review - Bad Return/Refund PolicyOrdering from Amazon was fine. I purchased this product on Mar 10, 2015. Today is April 17. Amazon offers no Return, no Refund or Exchange after 30 days of purchase on this product. I understand if the product is in good working condition, there is no excuse for consumer to return it. But this is a malfunction, defected product. As a consumer, I am not satisfied with both product quality and Amazon return policy.
