Five Star Reviews: | 70% However I have used it to make apple Sharlotka and a beet chocolate cake and was very pleased with its non-stick quality March 3, 2017 This is not a complete review as I yet have not made cheesecake with this springform. However I have used it to make apple Sharlotka and a beet chocolate cake and was very pleased with its non-stick quality. The true test will be a cheesecake to see if it is truly leek-proof. I will update the review based on how the cheesecake comes out but for now, I don't have any complaints. Great pan June 26, 2016 Really like this pan, but I have never had a Nordic Ware Pan that I didn't like and that was not of the highest quality. Have some pretty old Nordic bundt pans and they are all still like new and will last forever if taken care of. I only give Nordic Ware pans as gifts, as well. Really like the interchangeable bottoms. Have only used the fluted bottom so far and cake comes out great and looks really nice. Also, no leakage as with some other springform pans. Great for the pressure cooker February 24, 2015 Nice sturdy pan that truly doesn't leak. I bought it to make cheesecake in the Instant Pot pressure cooker....it fits with space to spare. Makes a full recipe, just gives you a really thick cheesecake. If you make cheesecake in the pressure cooker, you will never do water bath in the oven again. GREAT PAN FOR A DECENT PRICE December 25, 2014 I bought this pan because I had to replace my Kaiser La Forme 9" springform pan. The coating started to separate on the sides of the pan which now made the pan useless. I did not want to spend that much money again as I don't think it was worth it so I decided to give this one a try since it got good reviews and was at a good price point. I have to say that I'm very pleased with how it performs. It's lightweight, non-stick, and due to the base being flat (not having a rim around the base) it was easy to slide my cheesecake onto a serving plate. Clean up was a breeze too. It was really easy to get the cake off the sides of the pan so that's a real plus. I can't vouch for it being leak proof (which a lot of pans say they are but water always seemed to seep in somehow even after I double wrapped the pans in foil before placing them in the water bath) because I now place my springform pans in a fat diddio pan slightly larger than my springform pan before placing it in the water bath, which guarantees it will be leakproof. I would highly recommend this pan and would definitely buy it again!. Excellent !!! The best for CheeseCake December 14, 2014 Wow! It is amazing spring form pan! I can make a delicious and beautiful cheesecake! I made it for my husband birthday! Here is the proof of it! I attached some pictures best springform pan I've ever had November 17, 2010 I own a retail bakery and after a couple of our springform pans got dented up trying to fit the ring on the base, I decided to try another brand. I picked up one of these to try and it's the best springform pan we've ever used. Very easy to put together (saves time in a busy bakery). So we decided to replace all our existing springforms with these. Great product. | 81% Smooth sailing July 18, 2017 I finally treated myself to some "real" tools after being commissioned to make my mom's wedding cake. She despises fondant, and I cringed at the thought of making a buttercream cake because I was worried the icing would come out lumpy and gross. This tool worked great for me, and although it didn't come out perfectly lump-free like fondant would, it was pretty darn close. I will be keeping this tool for future cakes; my only wish is that I had bought one sooner so that I could lend a more professional feel to my cakes. More than I bargained for and happy for it :) July 18, 2016 For some reason I thought it would be smaller...then realized that 12" is one helluva a Icing Spatula. I'm not fond of sheet cakes; never seem like "real cakes" to me. But... LoL this is going to be a perfect moment in that direction and, I will start a new direction for getting creative. Easy to use May 30, 2016 i attempted to make my son a cake for his first birthday ... While I am not much of a baker, this icing spatula made decorating much easier! A Baker's Essential Tool April 20, 2016 This is probably one of the greatest purchases I have made in a while. I bake a lot and have so for about 12 years. I'm actually in the process of opening up my own bakery and I saw this and figured I would give it a shot since the price was right. Man, this spatula is versatile. I've used it for slicing cheesecakes, spooning items as well as icing my cheesecakes and it works flawlessly. When my bakery if fully up and running, I plan on ordering a few more to keep on hand. How did I ever live without an angled frosting spatula? May 28, 2015 Embarrassingly this was my first time using a dedicated cake spatula to frost my cakes. I poured through reviews and couldn't decide on the size to get. Some folks weren't happy with large spatulas while others had problems adapting to smaller spatulas. I purchased this particular spatula based on the reviews and was also under the assumption the metal spatula itself (excluding the handle) was 9" long. What I received was a spatula that is 9" in length *including* the handle. The metal spatula itself is only 3.75"- seems suited more for cupcakes and tiny rounds. That said, I put it t the test and I've successfully frosted several 9" round triple layer cakes in addition to cupcakes and mini cupcakes- it worked perfectly, and just as expected. I wound up having no issues with small size. The angled handle made frosting the cakes feel natural, as if I'd been using it for years, and in no way awkward. I was also able to use it successfully as a crumb layer-scraper. A crumb layer scraper would have been ideal for my high layered cakes as it would have required minimal effort, but this spatula outperformed any substitute device I'd previously used, and in the end, my crumb layer was perfect. I can see a bigger size spatula being more helpful for 9"+ layer cakes, as it would be faster and perhaps a tad easier, but I wasn't racing against a clock and my cakes turned out beautiful. | 71% I hated having to measure and cut parchment for my round ... July 8, 2017 I hated having to measure and cut parchment for my round cake pans so absolutely love the ease of using these--they work great and I highly recommend them to any baker who uses parchment paper to line their cake pans! This seller has the best priced & quality that I've seen June 10, 2017 I always saw cooks on tv using parchment paper when baking cakes but could never find them anywhere in the rural area that I lived so I ordered these. After trying these I won't bake a cake without them! This seller has the best priced & quality that I've seen. Game changer May 10, 2017 Why stand there and draw circles and do arts and crafts using a giant piece of parchment paper just to line your pans? This does the job 1-2-3 and comes in my exact pan size. Perfect cakes every time that pop out easily. Work great. April 5, 2017 I have only used them 2x, but they worked very well. I have a 9 inch cake pan and they are just a tad big, but it didn't interfere with my cake at all.I had no problem getting the cake out of the pan and then taking this liner off without taking the cake with it. Works fantastic. May 24, 2016 These are so much easier to use that cutting out parchment paper. Honestly I can never get them perfectly round when i cut them out myself. Plus they are a huge time saver. I put a little dab of butter or oil on the pan plop these in and pour the batter. Sides still need to be greased and floured of course. But these work great for the bottom. Just one more thing to make life simple and they aren't super expensive. The lazy way to go June 8, 2014 I learned years ago from a Southern Living Chef I worked with to always use parchment paper to insure your cake comes out easily. So every time I bake, I would pull out the parchment roll, trace the cake pans, and cut them out. Cakes always came out perfect. Now I no longer have to go through all that. Simply spray the pan, pop in the round parchment, and spray the pan again. Done. Saves me time and is easier. If you bake a lot of cakes, or get frustrated when they don't come out perfectly, these are a must. Well worth the money. | 78% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 11% Good pan April 12, 2017 Very good quality springform pan. It's "leakproof", but you will still need to seal it up with foil when making cheesecake. You can tell it's a high end quality kitchen item. I always think it's worth having quality items if you want to produce quality cooking. Rings true in this case. ... in this pan and the non-stick surface is very easy to clean October 28, 2016 Cakes bake evenly in this pan and the non-stick surface is very easy to clean. It leaks a bit like every other springform pan I have owned, and that's always annoying because I have to put aluminum foil on the bottom and a pan underneath in case the foil gets a little tear in it and, say, butter drips out. Must-have item for your Instant Pot Pressure Cooker! September 23, 2016 This worked perfectly in my Instant Pot pressure cooker and did not leak. I did have problems with my method for making cheesecake though so there was cheesecake splattered all over my pressure cooker and under the pan. The pan itself was pretty easy to clean except for the ridge underneath the pan dish. I had to use a toothpick to get some of the splattered cheese cake off. Not something to really gripe about when it was the method of baking the cheesecake that was flawed and not the pan itself. Nice pan! July 20, 2015 Very nice pan! Indeed does not leak at all. BUT - the one problem I have found is that the cakes I tried making - which were not cheesecakes - stuck to the bottom as well as the sides. It was very hard to clean. I sprayed it down with pam and i even once sprinkled some flour (as the recipe said to do) but the cake still stuck on pretty badly. No huge deal bcs i cleaned it but would be great if that didn't happen. Maybe it's me and I'm only supposed to be making cheesecakes in this???In any case - it pops open beautifully and the nice round cake is always tasty and baked nicely! Perfect springform pan for ice cream cakes - Not quite no-leak but that depends on your mix July 6, 2014 I bought two of these to make ice cream cakes and they performed wonderfully. I lined the bottoms of the pans with parchment paper before adding the crust then lined the sides with parchment paper before adding the filling, which made removal of the ring pan much easier and provided a buffer between the nonstick coating and the filling (I will do that when I make cheesecakes in these as well - and see how it works). The combination of the nonstick coating and parchment meant that the cakes came out easily and the parchment was removed from the bottom of the cakes by simply using a spatula run around between the parchment and the bottom of the pan and gently pulling the paper out. No problems. I did notice that in the 10 minute thawing period some of the chocolate syrup used between layers (that won't freeze and stays liquid) began to leak, but it did not leak in the freezer or cause problems... so as long as your mixture's consistency is not too thin these should not leak. For more liquid "no-bake" cakes - assemblies that never hit the oven - I would recommend lining the pan with plastic wrap. I haven't tried that but have seen various recipes that suggest that for easy removal of the finished cake. Holds Less Than Traditional 9-in Springform April 8, 2014 I purchased this pan to replace an old one, and while I really like it and can tell that it's high quality, it holds less than my previous 9-inch springform. The bottom of the pan is slightly elevated (I assume to make a more leakproof seal) so this takes away a little space. The same cheesecake recipes I made in the past are no longer fitting because of the size difference, but the inconvenience is minor.Other than that, I've had no issues with baking and removing cakes from it! So far, it's been leakproof as promised, but I've been using tin foil either way just to make sure. Happy with my purchase! | 12% I can't say "I love it, " simply because I am not that ... January 3, 2017 I can't say "I love it," simply because I am not that committed to an icing spatula. I will say that it has served its purpose nicely, and is not showing any signs of decay. It is a nice simple icing spatula. It is decorative kitchen utensil, but a practical durable one. So if you are looking for something cute to go with your multicolored knives set, brightly colored Dutch Oven, etc. then this isn't that. Works June 10, 2016 Works well so far. Seems pretty sturdy and well made. I puchased to make homemade fruit roll ups and i needed something to help smooth it out in the pan. So far no issues Angle Icing Spatula, was surprise how big it was ... January 21, 2016 Angle Icing Spatula, was surprise how big it was. A little difficult to use at first. but it's okay. Wish they made one a little smaller. Well built and sturdy. I have various spatulas from stainless steel to ... March 28, 2015 Well built and sturdy. I have various spatulas from stainless steel to silicon and simple plastic. The silicon and plastic don't offer an offset blade. I own a large angled spatula for cake icing/decoration and wouldn't be without one. This small version with this same deviation to a blade alignment really helps to make covering a cupcake with icing to simple application of mustard on a ham and cheese. The smaller spatula is easy to clean and appears to be sturdy. Time will tell | 13% Looks ok.. September 11, 2017 I just got these and while they look small in the package, I haven't opened it yet. I'm looking forward to using them with my round cakes. I'll update this when I use it. Parchment rounds July 16, 2017 These are parchment rounds, not much else to say. They work as expected, however were slightly larger than expected. I have basic 9" round wilton cake pans (the cheap, darker, 2-pack kind), and they were too large. I had to cut them down to fit the bottom of the pan since the pans were slightly tapered. They might work just fine in straight edge pans. easier than cutting my own June 13, 2017 these will be handy in lining cake pans, rather than cutting my own. Great to use for lining the bottom of a springform ... August 15, 2016 Great to use for lining the bottom of a springform pan. I normally place parchment paper around the inside ring and the circular paper fits perfectly inside. If it's too large it doesn't cause a problem at all, once you have everything even inside it comes out perfectly. At first I tried to just use regular parchment paper and cut around for the area I needed to use. But this is just so much more convenient. Time saver! August 4, 2016 I'm sort of a novice when it comes to baking, but I thought 9" parchment would work with 9" cake pans. But maybe because my cake pans have slanted edges, the bottom of the pans is smaller than the top, so the parchment liners don't fit them correctly. The parchment is a little large for my pans, but that's not a problem with the product, just my failure to measure my pans.I like how much time these save (I used to trace my cake pans with a pencil and cut the parchment paper). I did have a little trouble with the cake sticking to them though, even though I applied butter to both sides of the parchment. When I peeled it off the cake layers little chunks of the cake were coming off with the paper, which I didn't expect to happen. But it wasn't a huge problem in the end and didn't hurt the cake's appearance at all.Overall, I'm just happy to not have to cut parchment by hand anymore, even if it's not a perfect process. Handy, but not cheap August 4, 2016 I had been cutting my own parchment which wasn't so bad but now that I found these, I will stick with them. I do not bake tons of cakes so it is cost efefctive enough for my purposes. If you bake a lot, this may be way too costly for your purposes. | 15% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 6% Eh... not impressed. December 26, 2016 First off, other reviews had said that this was not 9 inches. It most definitely WAS. The size was exactly as advertised. However, the pan had a large dent in the side upon opening package. Shipping box was undamaged, so had to have happened before it was shipped. In that condition it would definitely NOT be leak-proof. Had to return the item and will probably not bother trying again. Seemed no better quality than the springform I already own, which was about 1/2 the price. It came with a small dent in it that makes ... December 14, 2016 It came with a small dent in it that makes it no longer seal completely. That means water seeps in through the bottom if used in a water bath or pressure cooker. I have to wrap it in foil in order to use it. I don't love it but, I don't hate it! April 29, 2016 I have a set of old stainless steel springform pans that my mother passed down to me. Unfortunately, the latch that locks the pan close on the 9" pan broke off. After much research I settled for this one based on reviews in that price range. This is a nice sturdy pan. It was not to heavy either. After washing it I tested if it leaked by filing it with water. No signs of leaks!I made a cheesecake the next day. Even though I did a quick test on the pan. I was still worried about leaks. So, I layered up 4 sheets of foil around the outside of the pan. I make cheesecake in a water bath. It's my preference. I have made cheesecake with/without a water bath. I like the texture better with it.I was very disappointed when I took my cake out of the oven and when I ran my spatula around the sides water came out. After letting it cool a few minutes I opened the latched and loosened the sides slightly. Popped that bad boy in the oven at 250° with foil over the top to keep it from browning out. The crust was still moist but, at least it wasn't mush anymore!I still like the non stick and I think may do well without a water bath and to make cakes in.I might raise the rating after I try those other options. Not Leak Proof November 11, 2015 It's not leak proof, as the name suggests, however It's less leaky than the others that I've tried and I've gotten tired of trying to find one that wont leak. I wrapped this one up in tin foil when I made a cheese cake, and none of the water got in, so while it was a pain, it got the job done. Not exactly what I ordered. October 21, 2015 I have yet to use it, but it came in green (which I don't mind),but the lining is not dark gray like in the photo. The cardboard wrapping was ripped and there seems to be faults in the workmanship. The bottom rim has two "lumps". This is aluminum, not steel, but do not see that it should be steel, just from a question answered. It's also 11- cups not 10 which I guess is alright since it's still 9 inch diameter. Is NOT blue - just SILVER...but a good pan nonetheless. August 22, 2015 Don't order for the color - it arrives in basic silver like every other pan you own. There are numerous springform pan options but I bought this one because the cobalt blue matches all my kitchen and pans - but they don't ship it like the picture. It's a great pan, but they should change the misleading image. | 4% but I was disappointed. It's made in China April 6, 2017 It says origin Japan, but I was disappointed. It's made in China. | 7% Not a Bad Item, But Larger Than 9" Diameter March 3, 2017 I was really excited about these because they seemed like a super convenient way to get correctly sized parchment paper liners. The only problem, they aren't correctly sized. I purchased these as Wilton 9" round cake plans and these liners are significantly wider in diameter than the pans themselves. Great for lazy baking, but you don't get very many liners for the price January 4, 2017 These are great for the lazy baker. They are no better than the ones you'd cut out yourself, but when making a lot of cakes, they're very convenient. My only complaint is that for the price you should get two or three times the number of liners. I ordered 9 inch pans and these parchment paper to ... December 15, 2016 I ordered 9 inch pans and these parchment paper to go with it.. But the paper is a little too big for the pan. I'm going to have to trim them down when baking my cake. Bummer. No sides on the liners. November 29, 2016 The picture shows sides on the liners; however, mine did not have any. I greased and floured the pan anyway so I could get the sides but, the parchment did what it should have. I just wish I had been more careful when purchasing as the picture is mis-leading. Oversized June 23, 2015 These are larger than the size indicated ... I have to trim them down to fit my pan. Ridiculous since that's what I was trying to avoid in the first place! Disappointed. Cutting my own parchment is just as fast and less expensive too. | 3% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 5% This pan is not leak proof as stated in the ... August 10, 2017 This pan is not leak proof as stated in the title. Should you choose to bake a cheesecake in a bain marie, ensure that your foil is watertight, otherwise, you will have a soggy bottom. Don't believe the hype! January 18, 2017 Ordered this product because of all the rave reviews about it being sturdy and "leakproof" as advertised as well, but 1st use and it leaked 😤! Also it felt flimsy and not at all sturdy. I was so disappointed as this was one of the higher priced springform pans... not to mention it doesn't come in blue like the picture it's regular silver. All in all product was a disappointment. Not truly leak proof January 10, 2017 I wanted a leak proof spring form pan for a particular cheese cake I make that requires a water bath. Before making the recipe, I put the pan in the water bath and it immediately filled with water. Nice pan but not Leakproof January 6, 2017 Nice pan but it is not leak proof. If I was rating it as a springform pan I would give it 4 or 5 stars but it is labeled a leakproof springform pan which it is not. It does leak. I bought 2- 1 out of 2 is in the garbage.. November 15, 2016 After only using this item a couple of times- while baking, the bottom of this pan bent and could not be salvaged. I only purchased in Sept 2016 and by October 2016- it was done. I bought 2- 1 out of 2 is in the garbage... :) NOT LEAK PROOF February 27, 2016 It's a nice pan but it is NOT LEAK PROOF! You cannot stick this pan in a water bath in your oven for the perfectly cooked cheesecake. The pan itself lets water in. I do like the pan itself, but I will still have to wrap the whole thing in foil before baking in a water bath. | 1% Small January 18, 2017 Cheap and smaller than it seems and than it describes. 9 inches is not the blade size. Just not good to me September 28, 2016 Just not good to me .Mainly because of the way it fits in my head . Too hard to work with. Wrong description for 9" spatula June 9, 2016 The 9" spatula description clearly states that the blade is 1.5" wide. The one I received is barely .75" (3/4"). Not what I wanted. Would probably cost more to send it back than it's worth. I did give 2 stars because it's well made but for me it's just another addition to my junk drawer. Title is deceptive, but it still worked out. April 7, 2016 The title is misleading; it's 9 inches from handle to end of the angled spatula. The only other offset spatulas I'd seen showed the blade length (which is actually about 4.5" of functional surface area). I already had a 4.5" offset spatula, so upon receipt of this one I was pretty disappointed because I was hoping for a large one for big surfaces. Turns out that having two 4.5" offset spatulas is a pretty nice luxury, though. 2/5 stars because I literally didn't need it and was expecting it to be a 9" spatula blade, but I'll still use it anyway. | 4% Product shows sides, i just got parchment paper circles ... August 30, 2017 Product shows sides, i just got parchment paper circles for the bottom of the pan. They work well but not the product shown. Too Big August 25, 2017 It doesn'tfit a 9" pan, it's too large and needs to have about 1/8" trimmed all around. Doesn't fit 9" pan May 6, 2017 I wish I would've read a few more reviews and gotten the 8" ones instead. These are too big for 9" pans. Too big! May 30, 2016 These did not fit the pan size they claimed to-while it was easier to cut down so that I could use them then say, a roll of parchment paper, it is still frustrating. Don't think I will buy them again. Did not fit Wilton 9in pans November 16, 2015 These did not fit my Wilton 9in pans. I have to cut them quite a bit for them to fit. I don't know if it is a problem others have with Wilton pans, but felt like this did work for me. | 1% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 8% Don't bother!! September 24, 2017 Purchased one - it arrived dented on the bottom. It was replaced with a second one that was so badly dented along the side that the metal was unrolling along the top edge and was very sharp. The bottom of the pan had about 1/4 inch space around the bottom inset due to the dent on the one side. I could almost get my finger through it. This would NEVER hold and would leak batter out as soon as it was put in!!! All done with these. Sent second one back, too. Never again. Very disappointed!!! Disappointed April 2, 2017 Not sure why it's described as Leakproof when it's clearly not. The flan's caramel leaked all over my oven, and the lid did not want to pop off. Rusted 1st Use January 4, 2017 This is my first springform pan and based on all the reviews I was so excited to use it. After the 1st use, we cleaned it and the metal latch is rusted. My neighbor has a springform pan (different brand) that she's had for 4 + years, uses it all the time and there isn't any rust. I would not recommend buying this pan. Leaks badly December 14, 2016 Returned. Leaks like a colander. I want to bake a cake, not drain pasta. Thought the bigger one would be better but no same terrible quality November 19, 2016 Leaks. I have previously purchased the small ones too and they leak. Thought the bigger one would be better but no same terrible quality. Do not buy you'll be disappointed. | 2% Rusted when not washed right away. August 3, 2017 The last time I used it I did not clean it right away. It was in an empty sink overnight. When I picked it up to wash it, the bottom side was covered with rust spots. Now there are permanent marks on it. That was probably my fault, but nothing else of mine has ever rusted. I will look for another product. 9" and 13" are over all length not blade length. August 20, 2016 Please note: 9" and 13" are for over all length and not blade length. Kind of disheartening to realize this in hand and not seeing this in online discription. Description didn't say on 13" size the blade length and I was thinking a 9" was needed and didn't notice in discription. This is not the 12" spatula you are looking for December 29, 2015 It is small. The 12" length in the description is the overall length with handle and the metal part. Do not buy if you are looking for a longer spatula bending it back leads to an even weaker more useless spatula. February 18, 2015 Unfortunately, this spatula is not constructed with the same thicker steel as the old models were. The thin steel flexes and bends making this spatula ineffective at spreading all but the thinnest of icings/frostings. Once the spatula is bent, bending it back leads to an even weaker more useless spatula. I was grossly disappointed when i received this item February 10, 2015 I was grossly disappointed when i received this item. This spatula is very small and flimsy...worst Wilton product I've purchased!! | 5% very misleading ad photo. September 25, 2017 Very misleading photo makes the product look like it covers the bottom and sides when they are just circles for the bottom of the pan, which you can make yourself. They were inexpensive so I will keep them but buyer beware. read the ad well and ignore the photo. you can make a killing off of an ad like this. Too big December 23, 2016 Like others have said, these are too big. I didn't trim them, but pressed the extra up on the side of the pan. When taking them off, they tore up the edges of the cake. I have two sets of 9" pans, one brand new. These liners didn't fit either. not the size they claim December 16, 2013 they are not the size they claim larger than 8 inches have to be cut to fit into cake pans TOO BIG...
