Five Star Reviews: | 75% The last springform pan you will EVER buy!! September 21, 2017 This pan is the greatest!!!!I do not bake except for a crustless cheesecake and a crustless veggie quiche. When I married my husband many years ago he brought a springform pan into the marriage and I used it lovingly. Then, it broke. After that I tried pan after pan and they ALL leaked.I FINALLY found this one!It does not leak AT ALL!!!Plus, food comes out so clean it looks like you already cleaned the pan when you didn't!I will never buy another springform pan!!This is the BEST!!!I HIGHLY recommend this pan and I don't highly recommend anything!!This pan makes me HAPPY!!! Great non-stick spring pan! May 6, 2017 I ordered this for a special recipe and it out-performed completely for me. I had never owned a spring release pan, this pan being non-stick was a blessing in disguise. I made the best dessert ever! It is very easy to clean also April 21, 2017 I have been using this for my Irish Soda Bread. It functions perfectly. It is very easy to clean also. This is a very well made pan. It will lastyears and years. No fuss and great result! April 8, 2017 I have only used this once and it was for a cheesecake. No leaks and nothing stuck after baking. I hope the performance continues because I impressed everyone with how neat the cheesecake turned out! Five Stars June 5, 2016 Really like the weight of this spring form pan. Great for making cheese cakes. It worked wonderfully and I DID do a waterbath and I just ... April 8, 2015 I was so nervous to make my very first cheesecake and just to be careful, I bought this 5 star one. I was not let down! It worked wonderfully and I DID do a waterbath and I just put a few layers of foil around the outside/bottom of the pan. It worked just fine, the cheesecake came out beautifully and I am so happy to have a really good springform pan to make future cheesecakes! Which I will be since my husband said, "PLEASE make another one." Lol its a 5 star pan for sure. | 70% Stick With Non-Stick September 8, 2017 This was purchased as an Xmas gift for my X (I had jacked up her all metal unit). She likes it for her cheesecakes. I'm getting one for myself. I have not opened this yet. After researching I ... August 29, 2017 I love WILton products but I have not opened this yet. After researching I came to the conclusion that this would fit in the Instant pot, which it does, but it's very small. I was hoping for a closer fit. The pan works great! I noticed that mine leaks when I fill ... August 11, 2017 The pan works great! I noticed that mine leaks when I fill it with water (I don't know if that's normal or not), but it didn't leak at all when I made a cheesecake in it. It really is nonstick, although I don't think lightly buttering/greasing the pan before using it would hurt anything either. I plan to reorder this pan in additional sizes. Great for cheesecake! August 7, 2017 I bought this to try my hand at making cheesecake for my husband and I, not knowing what to expect as I've never used one. It's a great size and works as you would think it should. It's the perfect size for me April 23, 2015 It's the perfect size for me. Its circumference is smaller than a standard pie dish, but it's deeper, so I adjusted my baking a bit, but used the same recipe. It's crazy how I fell in love with this. I bought another brand's springfoam in a larger size and was very disappointed with it, so it took me awhile to make the leap and try another springfoam. I'm so glad I did. I see that they are not all made the same, despite how similar they look. I didn't spot any leaking, but I did line it with parchment and wrap the bottom with aluminum foil, just in case. That really is best practice for bakeware like this. It's much easier to snap on and off than my other larger springfoam. I get very excited after my first bake with this. It's a keeper. I find the size and shape to be adorable. I'm glad I took the plunge to give springfoams another chance. You will love this pan! January 15, 2011 I usually make my cheesecakes in my 9" springform pan. I wanted these 6" for gift-giving at Christmas. I absolutely love this pan. I bought 2 of them and made my recipe for my 9" pan. Split the recipe into the 2 pans and used the same amount of cooking time. They came out delicious and SOO Cute and Adorable. The quality of the pans are excellent. No leaking. Washed up great. I am sooo happy with these and you will be too! |
Four Star Reviews: | 11% I'm glad I got this product! July 14, 2017 I really like Calphalon products. This works great, baked goods haven't stuck to the surfaces, and cleaning is very easy. This is a great pan and I've had many successes cooking in it January 28, 2016 This is a great pan and I've had many successes cooking in it. It does not leak, and has not rusted through many washes. The only "bad" thing about this is that food will get stick in the cracks where the bottom connects, but that's probably going to happen with any pan like this. It's easy to get out, at least, but you will want to make sure to clean it well. CAN THERE BE TOO MUCH TEFLON? September 16, 2013 Pan is strong and substantial but when I tried to butter and bread crumb before use, nothing stuck! I may be inexperienced to think that I need to do this to a coated pan but hey! The sides and bottoms of the cake were a little over done but certainly evenly cooked. Am going to try again with less time in the oven and see what I get. Very easy to clean and also to remove the cake. | 10% Nice but rusting September 18, 2017 Perfect size for my IP but rust has started to build in the lip where the base sits. I'll likely replace this with the domino one that sits flush. Great Pan September 13, 2017 This worked beautifully for the cheesecake I made. Did not leak as others mentioned. It washed up nicely too. Great Quality but A Little Leaky June 6, 2017 Great quality pans and I'm so thrilled having a 6" pan finally! However, although I usually have a tiny bit of leakage from springform pans (Wilton), this leaked more than usual which at first was disappointing. I usually wrap my pans in foil with wet paper towel sheets around the pan so it didn't leak completely so it wasn't a complete bust. Lip, cant get all the delicious crust April 29, 2017 We got this to make cheesecake in our Instant Pot and it fits and works well enough but therd js a lip on the bottom that makes it hard to slice and get all the crust. Next time I would pay a few $ more for Fat Daddio which doesn't have a lip and the bottom is completely flat. Really Great! No leaks! August 6, 2016 The first time I used it, it leaked while it was in the oven. I have never used a springform pan so I don't know if it is common for it to leak. However, it is still a great pan.Edit: so I guess I didn't tighten it well the first time because now it doesn't leak Very nice non-stick pans June 1, 2016 I ordered three, and these little pans are great. Nothing can stick to them! The textured bottom and the coating just make them very slick. The only downside is that there are open seams in them where batter gets into very easily. These are not the regular indentations, but gaps between sheets of metal that go very deep. It's hard to clean cake out of there, and I'm worried it could be an entry point for rust.I think the gaps are a minor concern, however, and I am happy I bought these! |
Three Star Reviews: | 3% Three Stars May 3, 2017 Supposed to be dishwasher safe and rust free. The clasp on the pan isn't safe from rust. the dent on the side prevents the interior piece to ... May 21, 2016 the dent on the side prevents the interior piece to fit snug. I have to use aluminum foil to wrap outer edge. Be aware it is not leakprook--if you put it in ... March 18, 2015 Be aware it is not leakprook--if you put it in a bath (as you do when making cheesecake), water does get in. | 5% Overall function is fine. Cleaning this product is a chore March 28, 2017 Overall function is fine. Cleaning this product is a chore, still not sure if I ever got all the cake bits out of every nook and crany. Easy to use August 21, 2016 Easy to use, but tricky to clean. There is a gap between the circular pan and the detachable bottom. Bits of the cake got stuck in between and I had to get a fine tube cleaner to clean the gap.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0115SLLLM they are adorable!! I've been using them to make the ... November 13, 2015 I a obsessed with these, they are adorable!! I've been using them to make the small size of my raw vegan "cheesecakes" and they are working perfectly. The reason I give it 3 stars is because I just noticed that one of them was starting to get some rust. Luckily it is in-between the detachable part and doesn't effect my food since I am not pouring in anything that thin. Disappointed with quality January 31, 2010 I have always been completely satisfied with the Wilton products I've purchased previously. They are usually top quality in how they are manufactured and perform wonderfully. However, this springform pan was definitely not up to their normal quality and I was quite disappointed. The edges were rough and there was extra metal around the ridge. There were also two 'cut-out' grooves on the bottom-they likely serve some function, but I couldn't figure out what. This was bought as a gift for my mother, and when she took it out of the package she almost cut her fingers on the rough edges. It seemed likely that this pan would end up cutting fingers and snagging dishrags so I returned it. I will still reccommend Wilton products in general, but not this springform pan. |
Two Star Reviews: | 4% This spring form looks great but it is quite impractical August 24, 2017 This spring form looks great but it is quite impractical. The dough somehow leaked through the bottom of the form while baking the cake. It got into the bottom edging of the form where it cooked and I wasn't able to pull the dough out of the edging. Not even with a toothpick. Spent long time trying to clean it unsuccessfully. Wish I have returned it. 4 day disappointment February 11, 2017 Despite my 2 day prime membership it took 4 days to arrive. And of course it's dented. Two Stars May 14, 2016 I received a damaged product as it leaks on one side. Unfortunately cannot use this pan Cooks Well, But Rusts in Dishwasher June 18, 2015 It's a great pan; however, when I read something is dishwasher safe I take it at it's word. After only 1 time through the dishwasher there is rust all over the edges. =(I like everything else about this pan, but that's just false advertising unless I got a bad one. | 6% Leaks June 6, 2017 I assumed it would be a good product coming from Wilton but I've made a cake for dinner we were invited to at a friend's house and while we were driving there I realized I stained my pants with the cake while it was on my lap. Too bad The inner edge of the pan where the bottom fits ... May 10, 2016 The inner edge of the pan where the bottom fits into rusted after 2 uses - will not buy again. Wife was making cheesecakes in her Instant Pot (fabulous by the way) and after 2 we had to throw the pan out; go with the aluminum spring pans!!!! Not waterproof October 13, 2015 Not sticking but not waterproof!!! It leaks and water can still go in. My cake came out wet... Clasp doesn't clasp August 8, 2014 One of the three that I purchased a month ago has broken. The clasp won't stay closed. They work great but I'm just waiting until another one fails me. Granted I use these for work which means I use each one about two times a week, maybe they just aren't cut out for professional kitchen use. First Timer June 26, 2014 I was very excited in buying this springform pan, as it is the first I buy. I got it today and I noticed it had a dent on the side of the the removable bottom and the springform. I made a cheesecake and the butter leaked out (a lot of it). I think this is a great pan & brand yet that dent really messed up my pan. I dont know if it was made during shipping but I wish I could get this fixed. Any tips? |
One Star Reviews: | 7% GARBAGE! September 8, 2017 This pan not only leaked the second time I used it, the latch on the side broke! Rivets on the pan just came out. GARBAGE! This almost burnt down my entire building. January 9, 2017 Um this nearly burnt my entire building down. Everything drips from the sides of the pans and then burns the bottom of oven (or even a pan if you put it on a pan). Bent And Space Between Bottom & Sides November 17, 2016 Ordered this well in advance of Thanksgiving. Tried to use today to test a new recipe, then realized an edge is bent and the pan does not close tight enough... there is a sizable space between the bottom and side. Went right into the trash. No quality control July 6, 2016 It arrived dented. The shipping carton was fine. Very poor quality control. Do not want the hassle of returning so I'm stuck. | 9% Leaks September 5, 2017 I used this pan to make potatoes au gratin in my Instant Pot and it leaked. The potatoes were nowhere near the top of the pan so I know it didn't bubble over the top. There were also telltale signs of leakage around the outside bottom of the pan. I should have heeded other IP users and gone with the pan they recommended (a different brand), but I have many Wilton baking accessories and they are generally pretty reliable. Sadly, this one failed so I returned it. Broke after using twice in InstantPot and hand washing both times July 17, 2017 I have used the pan twice in the 6 months since I bought it and washed it by hand both times. I used it both times in my InstantPot to make cheesecake. The bottom rim expanded somehow, and now the spring won't close properly to keep the floor inside the pan. It is no longer useable, and I will have to replace it. Worked good for the first cake I made in it May 26, 2017 Worked good for the first cake I made in it, however it broke after one use. Can't get it to stay shut anymore -- had nothing to bake my sister's birthday cheesecake in. Not good quality. Leaking from the bottom after only 3 uses July 25, 2016 Only two good uses of making a cake and now it leaks from the bottom and all over the oven floor. I attempted the same cake I had made on the first two uses twice and each time, cake batter spilled out from the bottom. Unfortunate because the first two uses where it worked, it worked really well! Extremely Leaky, Poor Design = Difficult to Clean July 5, 2016 This is by far the leakiest springform pan I've ever owned. I know that all springforms leak a bit, and I've tried using wax paper, brush on melted butter along the rim, and various other methods, but none has worked to prevent water from seeping into the pan during baking. In addition, there's a gap in the outer part where, as other reviewers have pointed out, cake batter easily leaks into. I've had to spend at least 15 minutes to carefully clean the pan after each bake.Overall, a completely unusable springform pan. It's going into the trash. What a waste of time and good ingredients to have a mess ... February 16, 2015 My three pans leak and make it impossible to remove cake without damaging it due to 5 mm rim the bottom of the cake sits in. Properly constructed pans have a flat surface to slide the cake off. They are going back. What a waste of time and good ingredients to have a mess in the oven and three wrecked cheese cakes. |
