Easi(er) Instructions
December 21, 2016
OK, bought 15 for my HS indoor golf range and figured out easi(er) instructions...for everyone having trouble setting up the net, the trick is to wait until you get both sides (Red) connected first. It forms a "wishbone" with the green side of the pole connector facing away (just like in step 4 of the instructions). Once the red poles are in, slide the green pole into the net's sleeve from the bottom first and connect to the connector (L). Start bending the green pole to the bottom pin and as you bend, pull the sleeve down with the pole. Inserting the last pin was the hardest.. I too was having difficulty at first but this method took me literally 5 minute. Works for me...maybe Izzo will send me one for home use if this proves to help others!
The Hubby likes it.
September 10, 2016
The hubby got this to practice his golf swing in the comfort of his yard. He is happy with it. It set up easily, seems to do what is intended and he says his golf swing is much better for the practice he is getting. Plus it gives him something to do without hopping in the car and heading off to a range somewhere. The balls are confined as long as he hits the net.
Very good driving net.
April 6, 2016
Nice driving net. I like that it isn't too big since I have a small space that I placed it in the garden. Set up was reasonable easy. The only thing that I screwed up on my first attempt was not noticing that the long tent-poles have a solid end (that go to the top) and a hollow end for the bottom. Once I sorted that out it was easy to put together. Although I had someone to help me. Might be a lot harder if I had to do it alone.

I like the loud "pop" that the ball makes when it hits the Izzo panel in the middle. Makes it obvious if the ball came off the clubface straight or not.

It will be interesting to see how the net material holds up over time. I'll report back if I start to see holes in the net.
Good bargain.
December 18, 2014
Great net, have it set up in my garage. I have probably only hit a few hundred balls in it so far, but works fine without the stakes. It will move a bit over a session, no big deal, just adjust. I grabbed it on a deal for $50, could not be happier.

I have only hit up to a 5 iron in it so far, will report back if I feel the need to hit the driver in it.
A great way to tune your swing
August 18, 2014
A great, sturdy little gadget for tuning my swing. I've hit about 200 balls into it with various clubs, including driver. The hanging target makes a very distinctive sound letting you know you hit the shot on line. I use it to warm up before heading to the course. You can find less expensive ones, but they are not built and well and are more prone to the netting opening up (holes). When I get to a thousand balls, I'll add to this review

Now that I've had this awhile, I can truly say I've hit more than a 1000 balls at it. None got through! I took it down in December, put it back out again in March and have already hit another 500 balls. It was easier to put up the second time. Who knew? It still looks brand new even with the rotten rainy, windy and cold weather we've had so far this spring. So far, still well worth the money.

Sturdy Net
May 1, 2017
The net is sturdy and provides a workable ball accumulation for fast retrieval. This is a replacement for a less expensive model that could not stand daily use.
Assembly was not as easy as the instructions indicate but I managed to successfully assemble on the second attempt. My only complaint is the stakes don't withstand a moderate wind (22 mph, I live on the east coast of Florida) and I need to purchase heavy duty stakes to secure the net.
Otherwise a great product.
Good value
December 13, 2016
Good net, seems durable - am using it for both golf and baseball (tee work and soft-toss) and have had non issues. not as easy to set up as some pop-up folding models. Good value.
Worth it
September 20, 2016
Handy to use. Not as handy to put together. Definitely took two of us to get it together. Once it was up, we left it for awhile and I believe it will go up easier the next time we get it out to use. Storage case is handy. Works well for my kids to use when they can't get to the green to practice their chipping or driving.
Had to return first one Replacement works great
April 24, 2016
The elastic cord that runs through folding poles used for support broke the first time I set it up. I sent it back. They sent me another one and it has worked great. I can hit regular golf balls with a driver or an iron. It has not let one go through yet

October 28, 2015
I've owned several hitting nets and always found them easy to assemble but eventually the hot and humid Miami weather would make the netting give in and let balls through in just 3 months. Too dangerous in my community. The first net I received was missing the top rod connector making it useless but amazon was really good about it and sent me a new one overnight. The new one was complete and had an instructions sheet. Putting this thing together following the instructions is next to impossible. You have to use logic and trial and error until you get it. Some other reviewer said a 70 year old woman can easily do it. Yeah maybe a 70 year old amazon woman could do it. It takes a lot of strength to bend the poles and finally make them go into the right position. I know I will never ever ever ever take it down until I'm ready to throw it out. Hence the 4 stars. With that said I have a feeling that this will be the longest lasting net I've had. The back of the net is very loose like "draped"and not tensioned like my previous nets which causes stress in the netting. I've hit all of my clubs with real balls already thousands of times and they always drop to the bottom. Some reviewers stated that this net could stand alone but I've found that the anchors make it a whole lot more steady otherwise you have to adjust the net every couple swings. The backdrop is pretty nice and makes a loud sound when you flush the ball but that piece will probably will deteriorate a lot faster than the rest of the set up. Hitting without it is nice because it helps me see whether I'm hitting right or left of center which has helped me lot on the course. For the price I truly believe is the best offer for the money, initially I wanted the Callaway tri-net but I recently saw one at a store and its identical to the izzo and this one cost $20 or more less. I will update in a few months to see how it stands to our lovely hot and wet Florida weather. One last thing if you're a beginner I recommend standing close to the net as its not too wide. My kids have already hit some balls right or left of it by standing too far.

July 17, 2017
Didnt have any set up issues- as found in many other posts. But stability is an issue. It just keeps toppling over. Other than that really great. I save myself a trip to the driving range - this is so much easier.

April 7, 2017
Way too hard to assemble the one I got. Design needs some slight modifications to allow for single person assembly without requiring Herculean strength. Other than that it works as intended. Quality is about what you would expect for the price.
Difficult setup and take down.
January 19, 2017
Bigger than I expected and was a pain to put together. It's put together similar to a tent, but I really had to yank hard on the fabric to position the framing poles. The whole point for me was to set up fast, hit balls, and put it away fast.

Perhaps my netting is defective?
Hard to assemble ... I kept it.
August 5, 2016
The assembly was difficult both physically and mentally. Maybe for some it would not be. I found the directions vague and I had to guess at the assembly. To assemble it, I had to bend the rods or poles or frames very much and squeeze them into the connections. I suppose if someone is not careful, the rods could snap back during assembly and hit someone in the face. I also could not get the net too stand 8 ft high like claimed in the ad. I think mine stands just over 6 feet. How does it work? Well I don't use it like I thought I would. It looks nice. I have hit about ten balls about four separate times. I put it in front of a large bush/tree thing in case a ball went over or through. I did not send it back, maybe because it was too much trouble to do that and maybe because its not so bad. I might use it more at some point to groove my swing more?
Netting not durable enough
March 21, 2016
I have had this net for less than a year now and, while it seemed a great improvement over the cheap net I had previously, it has already begun to wear out. I use it several times a week in my backyard and hit real golf balls into it, not foam or whiffle balls. I keep it assembled in the yard (except for the winter) where it has been exposed to wind and rain. The frame is solidly built, though it is awkward to put together, especially for one person unassisted. The size of the net is adequate for me, I can only remember missing the net a few times. There is a target you can tie on that will hang down in front of the net. If you can hit it, you save the net from the impact of your ball. Warn the neighbors, though, a well-hit ball slamming directly into the target sounds kind of like a gunshot. The problem is that the net has become increasingly unreliable. Last fall, after using this for about six months, I blasted a well hit drive through the net (unfortunately also through the window in the back of my garage). Not long after that I put the net away for the winter.

I brought it back out and set it up a week ago and have now broken through the net four more times and have a few impact craters in the vinyl siding of my garage. Each time I patch the hole with a zip tie or two. Most of the holes are in the same area and I can see the weakness in the strings around that area. I am not a great golfer and not a long hitter, but the more I have practiced with the net, the better my swing has become. I am more consistently hitting the same part of the net and with more power. I guess you could say the net helped me improve to a point where I have outgrown it.

My recommendation is not to buy this net if you are a powerful golfer. I think it is well designed overall, but the ropes just won't stand up to any real punishment. Perhaps you could prolong the life by keeping it out of the elements, but it is too cumbersome to set up and take down each time if you are going to use it regularly. If you can consistently hit the target that comes with it, you will probably find it works great. Unfortunately I am not skilled enough to do that regularly.

Meh
July 6, 2017
It seemed very sturdy out of the box. One of the loops tore the first time I put it up following the instructions exactly. That's disappointing because it has potential.
Ball broke through the net...
May 24, 2017
Be careful I hit a ball through the net (it ripped from my 7 iron) and put a big dent in my garage door that will now probably end up costing me at least a couple hundred bucks to get the panel replaced. It seemed like the net was strong enough but apparently it's not meant for full swings so I'd be careful as to what you have behind the net (hopefully some woods and not a house) Other than that it works fine but proceed with caution.
They bend so easy! And I have no idea how you would ...
April 20, 2017
Ummm no definitely not a 4 or 5 star product, I've had mine set up for about 5 days and the stitching is starting to come undone on the back sleeve guide for the rod. Oh and don't get me started on the stakes that come with it, if you don't have some soft ground to push it in forget it. They bend so easy! And I have no idea how you would set this up in a garage!!?? Good luck!
Not for me!
April 5, 2017
This is impossible to set up with one person unless you have a lot of time on your hands and not even the slightest chance of having any wind in the area.
Good news is they sent me a whole new unit
September 21, 2016
1st unit I broke one of the framing rods trying to bend in position. I think the net is not correctly manufactured to the length of the rods. Good news is they sent me a whole new unit, however I experienced the same problem, however I knew better than to stress the rods and modified an extension to the netting. The next problem is that the stitching on the target ripped off the connection the first day of use. I had the second free model, so I went to use that target, only to find out that the grommet to attach it was missing from the net. I gave it a 2 star because of the quick response and free assembly on my original purchase, however quality control on this unit is lacking and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Poles too big for the net, or net too small for poles?????
August 8, 2017
Wish I could give a ZERO review. I had bought an IZZO golf net in the past, used it for almost two years with no problems. This one was very different from the previous one i purchased. The poles seemed to be too long. Really had to force the pins into the ends of the side poles (red), the middle pole (green) had to be bent to the point where it snapped just to make the pin go in. The previous one that I had purchased you were able to adjust the fabric length for the middle pole, this one has no adjustment available. Felt like I was trying to put a 4 year old into 1 year old clothes.
Works...yes. Pain to setup, yes....better products are likely available.
July 5, 2017
This thing is a pain in the butt to deal with. Does it work...yes, will you set this up and tear it down on a regular basis? Absolutely not...imagine setting up a dome tent every time you want to hit a golf ball. Yes..it's the same type setup, stakes, poles, and a pain to thread through the material.

June 30, 2017
I had to return the item because one of the metal inserts broke when I inserted it into the sleeve and bent it. I called the company prior to gets some tips on the installation. I spoke to someone from customer service who wasn't very helpful. I asked about a video and she directed me to youtube. The video that she suggested had a big Calaway sign, not Izzo. However, she told me that it was the same item. It wasn't and installation was different. To be honest I don't know how good the product would have been because I couldn't get it assembled. The instruction manual wasn't very helpful. Basically, I used trial and error. It just seemed impossible to bend the rod and get it into the proper position to insert it. I practically bent the metal almost to a right angle and still it had to go further. Maybe I did something wrong?
Waste of money
January 17, 2017
Used for one day left outside over night and come out the next morning to find the middle pole snapped in half. Made of cheap flimsy materials would not buy again
Don't waste your money
December 6, 2016
putting this thing together was like trying to put together a cheap camping tent. Halfway through, the elastic that holds the poles together snapped and the pieces of the pole fit so loosely in each other that there was no way I could put it up.

The one good thing I could say is that the net seemed to be pretty good quality. I'm going to try and make a frame out of PVC or something.
