The Ziploc bags out lasted the other name bags. The Ziploc bags held up better. The bags sealed and stayed sealed. I have some of the Ziploc bags that have stayed sealed for over a year. PLENTY of bags that fit PLENTY of things. I moved and have limited storage. I always kept my winter/summer things in bins in the garage during the off seasons. So this year when I had to store my bulky winter stuff I figured I'd give this a go. The XL ones fit my duvet that I switch out in the summer. The L and M fit my sweaters and long sleeves. Another XL fit my skii'ing clothes and the suitcase ones fit my hats/gloves/scarves. Everything is organized, and I labeled them so easy to find when the time comes to unpack so I can do it in an order that works best for me. AND I still have SO much left over!!!! These bags are amazing. I wish I'd known about them years ago January 6, 2016 These bags are amazing. I wish I'd known about them years ago. We have always kept our clothes, shoes, Christmas decorations, blankets, everything n clear bins in our basement. After two floods in which everything was soaked and much was destroyed, we built shelves for the bins. We have not been able to keep moths, mold, and the basement smell completely out of the bins though. These bags do just that! They hold everything. They are roomy, shrink down to half their size when vacuumed, and fit neatly in the bins. I've been using these as gifts as well for new parents who will be storing clothes for their children, people going on vacation who might want to make room in their suitcases on their return, and friends who are planning on moving. They are very sturdy and can hold up to being stuffed to the max and dropped, as I have learned. I absolutely love these bags. I have my closet back! December 26, 2015 After using these I doubled my storage space! They're easy to use, and all of mine have held their seals for the few weeks it's been since I packed them. Everyone who talked about having bad seals said it was a matter of a day or two from sealing them and having them full of air, so I figure I'm in the clear. I highly recommend packing the larger ones standing up, rather than on their side- it's much easier to control. Some of the bags were going into storage bins, so I placed the bag in the bin before vacuuming out the air, and that worked nicely. It's nice to have our closets back and know that our clothes and cloth valuables are protected. We ended up getting 2 of these boxes, plus 2 boxes of the jumbo sized ones. We still have half a box of the variety left, and figure as we go through seasons changing (clothing, bedding) we'll have back ups for any bags that get damaged. I do recommend sorting out EVERYTHING to be bagged first. I made piles in the living room (bedding, summer clothes, slightly small clothes, slightly large clothes, etc.) and then decided what would go in what- then I made labels (used regular address labels, Word, and a printer) for each bag so my husband won't have to ask "which one" he needs. So glad I got these! Insane value! December 15, 2015 Amazing! My husband and I have a ton of sweatshirts and t-shirts that I want to eventually make into quilts. We are also overrun with bedding- in our house we have at least two bed sets for each of the following: a king size 16 inch foam mattress, a crib, two twin guest beds, and a potty training boy's twin bed and trundle. I was able to fit all the sweatshirts (about 30) in the large sized bag. In another large bag there are 72 t-shirts! In the extra large size, I was able to fit all (!) the extra bedding for the twin beds- 4 sets complete with comforters. Another extra large fit the extra crib bedding and the extra King bedding, since I change those beds out at the same time. I actually have extra bags. Insane. Buy these, you won't regret it. Plus, it's a heck of a lot cheaper for these than in the store. Good stuff! October 28, 2015 You really can't beat the price for this item. I use them for travel (try fitting a pillow in your baggage without one haha), storage (to keep my clothes from picking up dust and smells in my storage unit), space optimization in my small apartment (sheets, comforters) etc.I noticed that some of the travel bags do let some air back in, sometimes. I agree with other reviewers that the medium bags are kind of a waste, and I also noticed that these are not as large or tough as the original space bags from about 10 years ago, but again you can't beat the price on these. I was able to fit an entire bed pillow support system that I wanted to store should I ever have back surgery again. The other bag was able to fit a very large and thick king size comforter with room to spare. My items have been compressed for more than a month now and neither have lost any air or compression. I highly recommend these bags for the price. it wasn't easy, but it fit and was able to zip ... March 13, 2017 these are HUGE! I stuffed a 3" thick queen-size foam mattress folded in quarters inside one of these bags; it wasn't easy, but it fit and was able to zip shut and vacuum it down to half thick. We used it to pack for a campout; I wouldn't recommend long term storage of a foam mattress in this compact state. It might stay compressed. Unbelievably large! January 29, 2017 These bags are amazing! I was able to fit a twin size futon mattress inside of it folded 3x along with a sheet, pillow and blanket with room to spare! The thickness of the mattress itself is about 6". The little zipper thing slid off the first time I tried to zip it but it was easy to put back on. For the price I am amazed at how big these are! If I ever need more this size I will fairly order these again! Ginormous Vacuum Bags! August 16, 2016 After selling our travel trailer, I had to absorb the equivalent of a two-bedroom apartment's worth of linens into my home, and with a already over-flowing linen closet, I was in serious need of storage help. In addition to comforter sets for king beds, I had a king-sized feather bed and numerous pillows. Regular vacuum bags were great for smaller items, but there was no way I was going to get that king feather bed into even the largest bag offered by other brands. Enter the Simon Stelz "enormous" bags. True to their word, they are the biggest bags I have seen, considerably larger than other brands' "jumbo" sizes. I was able to pack away all of my extra linens, and with a few minutes of vacuum time, had decreased the size of my stored items by about 75%, allowing me to fit everything I needed to back into my linen closet. If you have comforter sets, large down/feather items, or lots of pillows to store, these are the bags for you! This brand works great, the plastic does not smell June 10, 2016 I turned one of our un-used bedrooms into an exercise room. I had lots of pillows, duvet covers, blankets to store and they were taking over my closet. I have seen the commercials and tried this type of product (not not brand) in the past. It worked OK, but the plastic set. This brand works great, the plastic does not smell, and I reduced my wardrobe storage space down to a fifth of the original size. March 14, 2016 I initially purchased this space bag with the intention of storing a large comforter. I began looking for an XL cubed space bag but ended up purchasing this item. After receiving the space bag I realized this item truly was ENORMOUS. I used it to shrink one comforter folded in half once to completely fill the bag. It fit perfectly in a space of about 5 inches between my tall closet and the ceiling. Completely out of the way and out of view. This would also be great to store under a bed if you have room for storage. It comes with a little plastic tool to make sure you close the zip enclosure. I admit, I wasn't able to successfully seal/get all the air out on the first attempt. BUT, it did work after 2 tries. A once-over with the tool probably won't cut it. As long as you make sure everything is sealed, vacuuming the air out with a hose is a breeze. |

We recently downsized and the bags make storing off season items a cinch!spacey Good bags for soft fabrics, be careful of anything sharp, even if it's covered. June 1, 2016 These work, but are incredibly fragile. the zipper on one of my jeans, that was folded in half, pierced a bag too easily. I wasn't impressed, but I know now to never do it again. This is more for soft fabrics, sheets and comforters. I haven't noticed a loss in air with these bags, and I've had a few from this set in the basement for the last two months.They work well, you just gotta be careful with them, don't throw them around or even stack them unless you're cautious. Baby Clothes Storage February 16, 2016 I was a little scared of the vacuum bags at first, but we needed to do something about the acres of baby clothes in our garage, so we purchased these to try. They really do reduce how much space items take up, and were very easy to use.Unfortunately, one of the bags ended up with a tear (not sure if it came to us that way, or if something happened while I was storing it), but it is now unusable.I will update if we have any issues with the bags holding their vacuum seals over time. Love them for storage and saving space! September 24, 2015 I'm torn with these. Overall I think they work great, hence the 4-star review.I recently moved from MA to NC and purchased these to help with packing up our clothes, blankets, pillows, etc. They are pretty amazing... it was actually fun to fill the bags and then see how squished the contents became as the air was sucked out. But from there they were just super awkward (and heavy!) to deal with for the actual move. The bundles end up in these awkward/inconsistent shaped... which is totally understandable since you have different things in each bag, but that then makes it a little difficult to transport. We ended up with seriously 30 of these oddly shaped bundles that we ended up tossing in the moving van, in the back of the car... kinda anywhere we could stick them. We had maybe 2 bags that lost the seal... other than that they worked fine.I will say we have quite a few bags with blankets and pillows that we still haven't unpacked... and they really are a huge space saver. I have 2 down comforters, several blankets and some pillows stored on the top shelf of a closet, in the same amount of space that one of the down comforters alone would take up. So for me, I give these 5-starts for use to store items and save space and 3-stars when using them for moving purposes, again just because for me they get heavy and awkward. Hold up well September 1, 2015 These are great for storing our clothes, but I'm a little disappointed with the size of the bags(mediums and large). They state such small amounts that can be held, and the medium and suitcase size are really both mediums. I didn't really listen to the guidelines (2 sweaters in a bag seemed a bit wasteful), and put in what I thought the bag could hold and it worked just fine for me. It was still able to make the seal and compress the clothes, and I was able to store more clothing without having to spend massive amounts of money on more and more bags. They seem like they will hold up to what I'm asking them to do and be able to be reused in the future. Worth the price, since I read reviews of cheaper brands that seemed like they couldn't hold up. These seem solid. I will update in the future if anything changes. Ziploc space storage bags... not a cheap knock off bag! September 1, 2015 The space saver bags do create a lot more storage room in your home with no attic or basement, Slides easily under the bed or a closet shelf and can be stacked. I put unused dryer sheets in the bags when closing them up. It doesn't leave that plastic or musty smell when you open the bags again. The price paid for these bags is reasonable because they are made of thicker plastic. I bought imitation brands that were cheaper and thinner and they ripped after a few uses. So it was no bargain... you get what you pay for!! Ziploc is a good investment, especially if you want a good product to save those items that you aren't using now, but don't want to give or throw away. I was impressed with the extra large bag... it fit my huge king size over stuffed comforter, bed skirt and 2 king size shams into an easy stored bag. My initial impression was "Wow,'" these are awesome. I had a number of comforters and bedspreads stored in a space just under the eves in the loft. I needed to make additional storage space in there and the bulky comforters were taking up so much room. There is not enough room to stand up in there so I had crawl in to stack the bagged linens in the back. It was not an easy move. I got them all in and stacked and then I heard the air releasing. Two of the six bags lost their air. I'm gimped up with a bad back so I just didn't have have the drive to crawl back in and examine what went wrong. I was fairly sure that they were sealed properly but it is totally possible that I may have somehow snagged the plastic. I'll let you know next winter when it comes time to take everything back out if it was user error. For the most part, I was pleased. Well made, great bags, great customer service May 10, 2016 I love the space savers. The sellers are very professional and seem as though they will do everything they can to fully satisfy every customer. It is a great product. The only thing I would have liked, but does not deter from the quality or use of the bags, is if there were fill/full lines. A line showing the absolute max you can fill to, just to be on the safe side, especially if you are someone who, like me, has a hard time judging that sort of thing.I was able to fit in one bag (leaving quite a bit of extra space maybe 2 or more feet, not a good judge here) 1 king comforter, 2 twin comforters, 2 blankets, sheets, a pillow, a boppy and a few baby blankets into one bag.This box and another box were the first space savers I'd ever used. I was moving some clothes from one area to the next and these bags helped save space in my car. I was very pleased at how much I was able to fit in these bags. They come three to a box. My only complaint is that one of the bags had a leak and kept deflating. I would have sent them back but I was pressed for time so I did not. The two that did not leak stayed that way until I broke the seal. I would recommend this item to anyone who has a storage problem or need to move a large amount of clothing from one area to the next and need to save space in their vehicles. |

Three Star Reviews: | 12% Best Brand of Vacuum Seal Bags, Pack Carefully May 26, 2017 These work really well as far as saving space goes, but they don't take much roughing up in a move and don't always seal as well as they should. Still, the Ziploc brand works better and lasts longer than cheaper brands of vacuum bags. Just don't overstuff them, double check your seals, and be careful what you pack next to them. You get a good number of bags in this pack April 26, 2017 You get a good number of bags in this pack. Some will hold up, others will lose their vacuum quality pretty quickly. Nothing in the pack holds up to long term storage. Gets the job done May 23, 2016 These were a god send when it came to traveling across the country however it was very annoying that they are so flimsy and basically a one use only. 2 bags broke open because we hadn't taken the tags off my son's new clothes he received for his second birthday. When we tried to reuse the bags 1 of them blew open and it wasn't even filled all the way full. If we travel across country again we will still order some of these however we'll order less and now we know what to expect. Does a good job just not a sturdy material. You have to buy more than you need to get what you need October 14, 2015 The concept is great. And the bags that work do as promised. The item did come on time. But the little plastic tabs come off of some of them and air leaks in, making it impossible to get a tight seal and rendering the bag useless. It is possible this was a result of stuffing a too large duvet into the Extra Large bags instead of using the Jumbo. It should be possible to buy the bags individually or in individual combinations to avoid this problem. I had about 6 or so left over mediums (I didn't find any smalls in my lot), and two larges left over, but needed more jumbos. So, I had to buy two more bags of two-each jumbos. I should have been able to buy the configuration I needed without having to overbuy. Holey bags. September 19, 2015 I purchased these bags because I needed to fit as much of my things as possible in my car for a cross-country move. The pack comes with a huge variety of bags and I was able to fit every piece of clothing I own (a full closet and 6 huge drawers) in the bags no problem. A vacuum helps, but I found that I was able to get each bag pretty compact by rolling/laying on it. Major downside: the plastic is cheeeeeeaaaaap. Seriously, if the bag comes into contact with anything remotely rugged or sharp (rocks, zippers etc) they rip and tear. By the end of my trip most bags had holes. Good Space Bags, but lower quality and smaller size than original. March 25, 2015 Good quality space bags, but the sizes are much smaller than the "Original Space Bags" that ZipLoc purchased. The Large has shrunk enough that it is more of a medium, for example. I have also found that the ZipLoc bags tend to blow out the sides much quicker than the original bags did. | 5% Doesn't seal easy November 6, 2016 The bags would not hold the seal for that long. Then I used a vacuum cleaner to suck out the air inside the bag and then sealed it. The next day I looked at it and noticed that air is getting back into the bag for it is puffing up again.I will try again to get all the air out and reseal and see what happens. I do hope it works this time. Sorry I couldn't as yet give you an excellent rating. I loved these at first January 29, 2016 I loved these at first, I could put all my heavy blankets, comforters, and pillows into one bag and it fit anywhere. January 16, 2016 Pros:- works well for comforters, sweaters and such- the stored items are protected from moisture, but not light damage - darker plastic would have been better- easy to useCons:- would not store my clothes in these, except for maybe a day or too - wrinkles are super deep and hard to get out- the bags are quite easy to open by accident- i would also be concerned about cats/dogs accidentally piecing through the plastic with their nails- quite expensive Not surprised, just disappointed. December 12, 2015 I have been considering buying some of these for literally years. The prices in stores always seemed ludicrous for what is in reality just a bunch of plastic bags so I always managed to walk away. However, our recent move into a house almost half the size of our previous one prompted me to finally give them a try. I'd put a number of items in clear plastic garbage bags and pressed the air out of them before storing them (Important: the more flexible kind as opposed to the ones that make a loud crinkling sound when handled!). In truth, the garbage bags were much more reliable. For me, these bags had around a 50% failure rate. Some reinflated almost immediately, others took longer. Two had small tears which I do not think I put in them as I handled them very carefully filling and suctioning the air out of them on a bed surface. And, yes, I tried several times to reseal the defective ones to no avail. I could have rated these 2 or 3 stars given the 50% failure rate, but the travel bags are of no use to me so I chose 2 stars. Puncture easily, but very handy to use! November 6, 2015 Short term, these are great!!! They greatly reduce the space needed to store bulky fabric items such as pillows, sweaters, winter coats, spare bedding, extra blankets, children's clothing, etc. I was thoroughly impressed!!!Long-term, the quality is not excellent and air leaks are highly likely to occur. Be VERY gentle with them after vacuum sealing or you will puncture them on accident. Would be great if every kit/box came with a puncture sealing kit like air mattresses do.One other con is that they don't fold all flat and perfect like in the picture. Even if you stuff them evenly, they're all bumpy/lumpy when sealed and, therefore, are not easily stackable and don't easily fit inside a bin or box for safer storage. I'm still trying to figure that dilemma out! If you have a good area of space to use, they do stack vertically pretty nicely though.I would buy these again, but I wish they weren't so expensive because they are easily damaged with holes and then are practically useless. Not great August 29, 2015 I have had Space Bag brand bags in the past and the air always came back into the bag within a few days or weeks. I was hoping they might be better now. They are not. Some of the bags are still holding air but others have puffed right back up. I am primarily using them to store baby clothes and I made sure not to overfill the bags and to check that the ziploc was sealed completely. This is a great idea but it just doesn't work. | 6% Hit and Miss April 2, 2017 The first bag I tried would not stay airtight. The second bag worked (I put the original bag inside the second one). I emailed the vendor for warranty support and haven't gotten a response 4 weeks later. However, I do like how big the bags are and wish that a reputable company made this size. Update: 1 yr later July 20, 2016 These bags are GINORMOUS and the plastic is a nice, heavy quality. We were able to fit basically two full size comforters into these bags. The blue tab things that are supposed to help seal were not very useful, but our fingers sufficed in making sure the seal was strong. I would definitely buy these again. ps I do recommend having someone press down on the puffy bits while vacuuming/suctioning so as to help with uniform levelingUPDATE: Unfortunately, these bags are not reusable. I opened them up 1 year later to use the comforters for guests and when I tried to store them again, the vacuum pack obviously did not hold since air was able to get in and the bag puffed up. This happened regardless of how much / little I placed inside the bag. Too bad. The price is right but the product not so much! June 8, 2016 Thought these bags were great at first. The nozzle to seal it was hard to put on after getting all the air out. The tiny silicone stopper had to be jammed in and the cap placed flush and screwed on quickly but the threading made the caps screw on at an angle almost every time. Only one out of the whole box didn't stay sealed after vacuuming no matter what I tried. Yesterday I went downstairs to add more stuff on the storage shelves and every.single.bag had lost suction and expanded only 2 weeks later! I took a few and resealed, vacuumed and sure enough this morning the air was back. It didn't matter if it was a comforter or winter scarves, the bags don't hold their suction. Since I used all 19 and the plastic is holding up sturdily, I won't waste my time returning. I can still use them for storage and taking everything out to store in boxes again would take up too much room that I just dont have...hence the reason for buying them in the first place. My search for a good space saver bag continues... You get what you pay for March 1, 2016 So I added blankets to the bags, vacuums sealed the bags and stored away in a tight spot. Few days later I went to check on the bags and they're no longer sealed and packed tightly into a very small space :( was hoping for a better outcome. Going to be fun getting them back out Waste of time and money. November 12, 2015 This was a waste of time and money. I've used two of the three vacuum storage bags and both of them have leaked air back into the bag. I made sure I followed the directions and even went over the closure carefully to make sure it was well sealed. Unfortunately, both started to refill with air within 24 hours and one of them totally refilled in 48hrs. Nice idea....it did not work for me October 16, 2015 I recently purchased this Space Saver bags to store some blankets and other clothes stored for this winter since I live in a small apartment now and really need to save space whenever possible. These are really some huge storage bags. So I did fill up 2 of these bags with room to spare because I know you cannot or should not overfill these bags. So I zipped both of them shut with the white thingie that is suppose to seal the bags shut....which they did not. I had to use my hands to seal it shut thoroughly. Then I made sure the white lid was shut completely and then used my vacuum cleaner to suck out the air after sealing the bag shut......and both bags leaked air at the seals. Tried it several times for several of these bags...failed. I will simply use them as trash bags and get them locally since the ones locally works. This item gets 2 stars from me for whatever reason. |

One Star Reviews: | 11% Waste of money August 30, 2016 I bought these Zipoloc space bag vacuum seal bags for when my wife and I moved to save space. It worked when we packed everything in it and vacuumed out the air. The following day the air was back in 2 bags, then we noticed one had a little hole in which was allowing air back in. We didn't care much for these bags since they did not meet the purpose. Horrible Product. Save your money. March 15, 2016 Save your money. These bags are not holding the vacuum. After filling several of the bags with bedding and such I vacuumed them out and placed them in storage cabinets in the hall. Not long after I noticed that the cabinet doors were pushed open. Upon inspection I found that all of the bags no longer held vacuum. What a waste of money. But after using it I realized that the large bags don't hold the stuff that you put inside as good as the other brand February 25, 2016 I purchased this bags because i used another brand before and didn't pay much attention; they should all work the same. But after using it I realized that the large bags don't hold the stuff that you put inside as good as the other brand. They leak the air inside and don't work. I never write reviews but this was that bad, dont buy the large ones; the medium are ok. AVOID!!! Bags thin and flimsy; first large bag I used plastic completely ripped at the top underneath the seam. Valves have prongs on the inside; took six times on another bag to get clothing positioned right underneath so it wouldn't leak. Furthermore, medium vacuum bags will not hold number of items advertised, way too small. All in all, I should have passed based on other reviews but thought since it was Ziploc..... not. I suppose it would be good if you use it to compress something to fit into a smaller space like a suitcase or similar, but alas, my suitcase is full of winter clothing, and it's not winter.It was massive though, so I suppose the "Enormous" part of the name is true (clearly not a product made by a man), but the shape is a bit awkward, so I'm not sure how easily you could utilize all that enormousness. Very disappointed :-( August 25, 2016 I was at first delighted, because they met my expectation for the size. They are indeed enormous, relative to the other large size vacuum bags that I've seen. I was able to fit 2 king sized bed pillows, with room to spare. I was also delighted with how much the bags compressed. But then an hour later, the air had leaked back in. I thought I'd done something wrong, so I read the directions more carefully. But no, I'd follow directions exactly as given, but got the same results. Last but not least, I thought maybe, I had developed a pinhole leak, because the bag had been moved around several times. So I took a brand new one out of the box; but got the same results. It's too late to return them, so I'm stuck with very large bags that can be used for storing, but they're worthless for vacuum storage. The large opening made it easy to pack in folded winter coats and blankets. The vacuum seals have stayed perfect for the last few days and the reduction in volume was far more than previous bags I've used . Some of the others bags I've purchased had the opening seal/ziplock fail after a few days. I'm pretty confident theses will stay sealed. I'm definitely going to give some of the other sizes a shot.***Update*** Unfortunately, it appears these bags become extremely brittle once the air is taken out and will start to split within days. The two bags a wrote so positively about a couple days ago have both split. premium ? vacuum storage bags August 12, 2016 went to local store and purchased a few of these type bags for packing while traveling. they did such a good job I thought I should buy some for my home. the plan was to take all the blankets, comforters and other bedding to preserve them as well as increase our limited storage area. if they had worked as intended i would have been a happy camper. unfortunately i was disappointed. two of the three bags started taking in air within a day. i resealed them and vacuumed out the air again. same unfortunate results. i will have to search for more reliable bags.looks like i am among the 12 percent who received a poor product. October 13, 2015 I am not sure if I got a malfunctioned package but 2 of the bags have large holes at the bottom where it is not fully connected so the air just comes right out the bottom. I needed them in a hurry for a quick organizational day and am let down by the quality. |
