I wanted some big ones for comforters and a air mattress to keep nice. In one of the bigger bags
March 7, 2017
I have to say I was surprised by how well these worked. I wanted some big ones for comforters and a air mattress to keep nice.In one of the bigger bags, I have a king size comforter, a pillow and queen size comforter, seriously! and I slid it under the bed. Very easy to use and they work great!
AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I posted a review on these bags some months ago but this post has little to do with the bags. This has to do with customer service from Epetbed. So. Have any of you ever made a purchase and found it almost impossible to resolve an issue? Well, I believe we all have had that experience. So I must say that I have never had such a quick response to a question from a company as I received from Epetbed. WOW!!! Okay. So I do love these bags - the concept - the convenience...but when a company responds and really cares about an opinion on their product, I am a FAN. Period. Greatness!!!
Great!

I've had mine for a couple years now. They still work great and hold a seal even when re-used multiple times. I've heard a few complaints about them, so I wanted to mention a few things in my review that worked for me.Here are some tips to getting the bags to work really well. Use the proper size bag and do not be tempted to overfill them - use fewer items in more bags and use the proper size bags. For instance, fold bulky bedding fewer times (so they're flatter) and place them in large bags rather than in smaller bags with a bulkier fold/stack. Place the items deep into the bag, and leave plenty of space near the seal. You don't want anything pushing the walls of the bag apart near the seal. When closing, pinch the clip firmly and go over the seal a few times, making sure to go all the way to the edges. Do not try to bend or fold the bags once they're collapsed and don't cram them into snug spaces (in other words, be sure to store them in such a way that if they do happen to break their seal and expand, that won't cause a problem).
I am impressed these really do work and work good

I do recommend these, I use them for all the winter closes extra closes, coats, and linens. I like these and am impressed with these.
WOW! These actually stay sealed...
March 16, 2012
I've waited a couple of weeks before leaving a review to see if these bags would fill back up with air, but I've been pleasantly surprised to find they are still sealed. In the last 12 years, I've purchased the name brand (Space Bags) two different times. The first time all the bags I purchased filled back up with air and I was sure I had done something wrong..I would suck the air out of them, just to have them fill back up every time. Quite a few years later, I decided to give them another try, thinking maybe they had been improved...in fact.. I believe the packaging did say they were the new improved bags.. All of them filled back up with air shortly after being used..Disgusted, I wrote off these types of bags as being useless and just adding to the storage problem..While doing a search for other storage products, this product came up.. Out of curiosity I read the reviews, which claim these bags really do work. So I took a chance and purchased a set...I am so pleased with these bags! I used the jumbo ones for extra blankets, pillows and quilts.. They are now taking up a fourth of the space they used to use and have stayed sealed.. I had a little problem at first trying to suck the air out.. I reread the instructions and noticed it said you may have to pull up on the gasket to get the vacuuming process started. That did the trick!I used a medium bag for quite a few clothing items my husband never wears anymore, but can't bear to part with.. They used to take up a lot of space in the closet, but now are stored safely in a bag taking up much, much less space..While cleaning out the closet, I found one of the Space Bags I had used last year.. It, of course, was filled with air.. I sucked the air out of it, made sure it was sealed really well (I used the little clamps sent with these bags to seal the space bag)... I looked the bag over very carefully to see if I could see any leaks.. I couldn't, but within 1/2 hour, it was full of air again.. So I sucked out the air again, used wide packaging tape to seal the gasket as well as the zippered edge.. It stayed sealed for a couple of days, but is now about half full of air again.Don't waste your money on expensive space bags.. Buy these much cheaper, MUCH BETTER bags.. save yourself money and get a product that actually does what it says it does.I just ordered another set of them with more of the smaller sizes so I can store my winter clothing away for the summer, making a lot more room in my closet.. I'm also planning on using a few for craft items.. They'll really help you organize and make more room for the things you use daily. The only bags I couldn't figure out are the travel bags.. You're suppose to close them, then roll them to push the air out.. I couldn't get them to work, but I may have placed too much stuff in the one I tried.. At any rate, they come in handy for storing extra clothing items you don't really use much..
SO much better than the "Brand" name bags
May 13, 2011
I have used Space Bags without much luck: punctured holes in the brittle plastic, seal not holding, etc. So I thought I would try another brand and the low price on these lured me in. I got 12 bags for the price of maybe 2 Space Bags. I got my entire project done with this one order, and every single bag has held it's seal. I even have a few left, including the roll-up travel bags. I will say that these do not have a one-way valve like the Space Bags, but once you get the hang of quickly putting the top in place it did not make a difference. I will be purchasing these again!

Almost as thick as the Top Brand
November 4, 2015
These bags are made of substantially thicker plastic than others I've tried They are very large capacity, true to the size advertised, with strong double zip tracks. (I previously left an unsatisfactory review, but please ignore, I got my bags mixed up with those of a different manufacturer. )These bags are comparable to the well known brand bags that we use for sandwiches and things. Top notch! This package especially is so useful to me as I store my summer clothes, saving me much precious space. I feel confident that I can safely store my clothes in my damp basement, that's how thick they are! Thanks KoalaReef!
place it over the valve and turn it on and it automatically seals a bit to the plastic of the bag and sucks all the air out
October 22, 2015
I have a Dyson vacuum and have been looking for vacuum seal bags for YEARS that would work with it. Anyone that has a Dyson knows that most of these bags don't work with the vac's attachments. These bags do work and they seem to be very durable. I use the round hose novel, place it over the valve and turn it on and it automatically seals a bit to the plastic of the bag and sucks all the air out. This is the storage solution that I've been needing and wanting.
A great bag, and even better customer service. They strive to make sure you are happy
October 12, 2015
I am writting this review after having my bags for around a month now. I must say that I am very pleased with the bags.My first round of bags were all great, except one had a slow leak in it, that allowed the bag to fill with air within about 10 days. I contacted the company, and they quickly replaced the damaged bag. The replacement set has done very well, and my bags are still as vacuum sealed as they were when I packaged them. Personally, I use these for bedding sets, pillows, and jackets. I store the bags in either rubbermaids, or what I have found works really well, are dry cleaning bags. The dry cleaning bag is thick enough to protect these from any splinters on the floor or anything else that could cause them to puncture.
Excellent vacuum storage bag and will be ordering more!

I had an issue with my first set of bags, and only got one use out of some of them. They contacted me immediately, and after they finished developing the new stronger bags they sent me a new batch! This product is wonderful. Im a college student and have very little space in my dorm, these bags are life savers!! Great for storage and amazing for traveling!
Great for travelling!!!

Nice and sturdy bags...I used one to pack a king mattress cover inside my suitcase. Originally it would have taken up 80% of the suitcase. Once the air had been sucked out it was reduced to about 40%!!! Once you make sure the seal is tight it will not let air in. Extremely satisfied!

good alternative to space saver vacuum bags!
February 9, 2017
I bought this and space saver vacuum bags as i have seen some negative reviews for space saver . I wanted attest one workable product so that i can pack the stuff that i don't need .this is a good quality product , but the sizes are too much . the biggest bag in this is almost useless as it would be difficult to store unless you are storing underneath a bed .when compare quality against space saver i would say space saver is much better , but this is a good alternative . they will still help you in accomplishing your goal , but the zips are too big .
Didn't think these would actually work...but they do!!!
September 28, 2015
I was very skeptical about trying out storage bags because of people not having much success with them, including my mom. But boy I must say I was wrong!I received my storage bags way before the estimated delivery date which I was so impressed with. They come in all types of sizes, and the package was not damaged at all.Two days after I received them I got right to it and gathered 2 Queen Comforters, 4 couch pillows, a few baby blankets, 4 bed pillows, and several small blankets, all which were able to fit perfectly in the different size bags.. to my surprise they worked!I had a bit of trouble with sealing the bags, I did not realize that there's a zipper where you attach it to the storage bag to seal it, so keep a look out for the zipper in your packaging. One bag however did break, which made realize how sensitive they are to anything sharp, so make sure you're not storing it anywhere where there's a sharp object that can poke a hole through the storage bag.Other than those minor details, I defiantly recommend these to anyone that has a lot of big comforters or blankets, even those who are going on a vacation, these bags really work!I'll be sure to order these again if I need more in the future! Hope this helped anyone whose on edge or skeptical about trying these out, believe me these are great!
I'm very pleased with this purchase
July 17, 2014
You know I didn't know what to expect as I had never bought any of these much less any of the brand names. I was pleasantly surprised with the quantities and size options that I received. I will say that the directions are a little hard to follow, but after experimenting a few times I was able to follow them, and once I did, it worked exactly as described. I was able to take two king size (very fluffy) blankets down to a fraction of their original size and they have held their shape since I purchased them. The only other comment I will make is that once they are compressed the bags and the contents are very hard, so while they are small, you will not be able to bend or "smush" them into a corner of your closet, the contents will be flat and inflexible. The only reason for not giving this item five stars is that the directions are hard to follow and not very well written...otherwise, I'm very pleased with this purchase.
Love! :)
November 10, 2013
This product working amazing! I was moving and needed to load my car, so I bought these for clothing, blankets, my memory foam mattress topper, anything I could shrink. It worked like a charm! The seal stayed closed and didn't leak. The reason for the 4 stars is because the bags are thin plastic. It would be nice if they were a bit thicker. It was probably my fault for being a bit rough with them trying to pack my car, but if you bump them on something or shove them in a place then will rip open. These are definitely bags for laying in a nice neat spot in a closet or under a bed. Not for packing somewhere. But overall I loved this product and would purchase again!
Mostly pleased
October 4, 2012
These vacuum bags work really well. I followed the instructions carefully to firmly seal the blue zipper and had no problems with leakage at the zipper. The included assortment of bags is very good. Bags are VERY easy to use with your vacuum's hand hose.I've never vacuum sealed household items before and I was very impressed with the space savings. Into a space where I formerly stored 2 huge puffy King down comforters, I now have - aforementioned 2 king down comforters, 3 king down pillows, 4 standard pillows, 2 king pillows (non-down), 2 european (square) pillows, 2 queen comforter blankets (not too puffy), and a throw. Yes I am aware you shouldn't really compress down, but these are not our main blankets, these are "extra" blankets and I don't really care if they never puff back to their former glory. The item will NOT look like the example photos when it is vacuumed down. It does not vacuum all flat and pretty. It looks more akin to a piece of flattened, crumpled newspaper when you are done sucking out the air. I'm not sure my analogy was accurate or descriptive enough, that is just the first thing that popped to mind. They probably won't stack well on their own because they do not vacuum out uniformly. I really am not even sure how the picture was accomplished - maybe someone(s) holding the four edges of the bag out tightly as it is vacuumed? I just don't have that many hands. I'm not docking a star for any of these things, however. I use a FoodSaver to vacuum seal food and this is how I was expecting the bags to behave.I docked a star because one of my bags had a leak and it was not user error at the zipper. The leak was somewhere down near the bottom seam of the bag. I submerged the bottom of the bag in water and the items immediately got wet (since the inside of the bag is a vacuum it will pull the water in). I'm still trying to find the source of the leak so that I can fix it. Unless I can however, one of my bags was defective and not by my fault.Despite the one defective item, this package is a very good value and I actually intend to order some more when I complete this review. I ran out of bags and I want to do some more compressing!
12 Pack wholesale space saver vacuum seal storage bags
May 12, 2012
Recently received bags and have not used all the bags so this is the reason for 4 out of 5 stars. Read the bad reviews first before ordering product. Had no problems using them. You must follow the instructions exactly and only remove the cap and turn the valve once before vacuuming. You may have to manually lift valve slightly from outside to get suction, depending on how you packed. Travel bags are slightly more difficult to manipulate since you have to roll them to get the air out but they do work. Will be using these in a few weeks for my travel. On all bags, the zipper clip is only good for initially closing the bag but you have to use your fingers and make sure you feel or hear the click for complete closure since the blue zipper seam is the key to maintaining the seal on the bag. Recommend that you repeatedly run fingers over seal for at least three time to ensure full closure of seam.Found that (1) once air is removed the items packed are heavier so while you may be able to pack more items, you are also getting more weight. (2) The extra large bag (51") is too big for practical use. Would have preferred the ability to order by bag sizes instead of getting multiple sizes. The 36" is good for comforters, even king size but the 47" is too big and the 28" is perfect for most storage items. Unfortunately, you get two bags of each size except the extra large bag. I think five travel bags is the perfect number.

These r so huge! I fit 5 queen blankets in one. The only thing i found was that it was hard to find a place to store it when i packed it full because u cant fold it at that point. I ended up storing the really big ones under my bed. The plastic feels a little cheap, but withstood a beating from toddlers. Cant tell if it leaks or not yet.

November 14, 2016
I bought these so I could store my big duvet more easily and it worked beautifully. I recently just took my duvet out because it's colder and used the same bag to store my quilt I had been using and it still worked great. Only thing I didn't like was how the little white piece used to help close the bag doesn't stay on well at all
Road tested
January 2, 2016
Solid product. Lesson learned: don't overpack these with things of varying dimensions (t-shirts in one corner, pillows in another). Try to keep the contents of the bag level and it will serve you well. I used 4 bags to transport my closet in the trunk of my car in a 2,600 mile move across the U.S. The only bag that burst open was the one that had hoodies + pillows + t-shirts spread about. The rest of the bags held the vacuum seal really well for 7 days of driving through varying rise in sea level and temperatures, which impressed me.
Great for storage!
November 25, 2015
I really like how convenient these bags are to store items not currently in use. I've saved so much space in my closet! The bads are really big and could get heavy if you overfill. I used them to store clothes and it fit perfectly underneath my bed. It is easy to suck the air out with your home vacuum cleaner. The first bag I filled, I unfortunately grazed it across a medal part of my bed and it slit the plastic right open. That bag had to go in the trash. You have to be very careful with these sensitive bags.I've had my items stored for at least a month now and no air breaches!
But if just storing inside the closet then definitely a good buy but a bit pricey for a plastic bag
November 25, 2015
This is all would be a storage bag. Though I would not suggest travelling with it. I used it for our suitcases and it was a bit big. Also the clip to close it comes off so can lose it quickly. But if just storing inside the closet then definitely a good buy but a bit pricey for a plastic bag.
Well constructed, keep their seal
October 20, 2015
I gave these bags only a 4 star rating ONLY because I bought these bags for packing fabric that I need to store as I begin packing for a move. I have never used bags like this before, so did not think through how a bag full of fabric would be heavy when the bag was filled. I simply wanted to be able to store the fabric clean and compact. I think they would work best for large puffy comforters or blankets or puffy coats to reduce storage space rather than lots of fabric or clothing. They are very large and for my purpose for them, the bags will be heavy to carry when I move. However, they are well made and work easily with a little hand vac hose. I have had one on my living room rug for over a week, ready for more fabric and they have kept their seal. With the quality of the construction, I am assuming they will make the move without the seal coming loose. The small bag included in the set I will use in traveling as it seals like a zip lock bag, not a vacuum hose needed. It will work well as a laundry bag on long trips.

January 2, 2016
Not sure how other brands of this type of product hold up but this one has worked as advertised for the most part except 2 of them have ripped at the ziplock area which makes them unusable. I'd say it was worth the price considering what the prices i see in the store ask for more money and give you less bags.
Protects your stuff, but not totally vacuum sealed
March 3, 2015
These bags didn't stay compressed forever; I used them to store blankets and towels and over several months, some air leaked back in so that the packages were less compressed. It did not seem to affect the contents at all, however, and it wasn't "full" of air, just not as tightly packed as when I first sealed them.
good quantity for the price, unfortunately not good quality.
October 16, 2014
I used every single bag for my cross country move, mainly for cloths. Nearly half of them were fully deflated by the first day, which obviously made things more difficult for me. 2 of them tore down the side when nothing remotely sharp was near them, perhaps I was too rough with them but I expected them to be more durable. All of the smallest bags (that did not have the vacuum seal attachment) did not fail me! so i'm guessing the flaws in the other bags have to do with that seal attachment. The set came with a little travel bag which is a nice little extra. I would buy the set again because of the price and the quantity but I wont even try using the larger bags again.
Good, but Valve Design is Flawed and Vacuum Does Not Last
March 7, 2014
I had to disassamble every valve to smeer just a minute film of a liquid (hand-washing soap, for example) on the ribbed internal surface of the valves. Otherwise, most of the packages would not hold the vacuum for longer than a few hours. It is also important to apply maximum pressure while squeezing the glider when locking the zip lock: the plastic is not as flexible as in sandwich bags and will easily leave small gaps that let air in. After closing, run with your fingers along the seal to feel that there are no bumps. If there are any, squeeze them tigher and lock in place.Bags' walls are made from a brital plastic, so be gentle when handling the bags, especially when they are sealed. When they are sealed with the content, they are hard as rock. This is good, but you still can damage the film if you throw them around. You can seal a small hole with Scotch tape, but a flexing will break the film beyond repair.Sometimes you may need to use only one side of the large-sized bags. In this case, place the content UNDER the valve, otherwise shrinking film around the valve will prevent getting air out of the rest of the bag.The travel valve-less smaller bags work great and do not require any tools. The hand pump is a waste since it seems impossible to hold it in place to keep the seal with the valve while quickly pumpling, and without fast pumping the valve will not keep the vacuum. So, either use the vacuum cleaner or use the travel valve-less bags.
Decent, but some design flaws
April 20, 2012
These bags work OK, and they hold a lot. I am amazed at how much fits in the larger sizes! I put a dozen sweaters in the second-to-largest one and it wasn't even full. I like that the travel size bags fit perfectly inside a carry-on suitcase. However, there are some design flaws. The zippers on all of the bags are hard to close (the plastic thing that is supposed to make it easier is no help). Also, between the cap and the valve is a circle of plastic that sticks to the end of the vacuum hose. It's supposed to stay attached to the bag, but it doesn't so you end up having to hold it down. It would be no big deal if it was a one-way valve, but its not... as soon as you stop vacuuming the bag begins to re-fill with air, so you're trying to un-stick the hose and put on the cap as fast as you can. At some point I plan to try supergluing it to the bag and see if it helps. The travel bags (which have no valves) work great. Sometimes you have to loosen up the plastic strip that works as a one-way valve before air will flow through it. I just roll it between my fingers to separate the layers of plastic and then it works fine. Personally I like the design of the travel size more than the design of the larger bags.

"Jumbo" is right!
December 23, 2016
These are definitely "jumbo," they are as wide as my full size bed. If you're looking for water/insect protection and under bed storage, these will probably suit your needs. However, if you are looking for large, space saving bags, opt for a smaller size as these cannot be hung in a closet or stored in a small space even when lightly packed. That being said, great seller, shipping and I would definitely buy from again. :-)
I'm giving the stars because I think the ripping was my fault but the plastic is also very flimsy and the seams aren't good.
November 7, 2016
All of the bags broke. I think I may have overfilled them. Do not put anything hard in them or it will rip them open. I stupidly pot clothes with hangers in them. I'm giving the stars because I think the ripping was my fault but the plastic is also very flimsy and the seams aren't good.
which I love. But they are fragile
March 23, 2016
These bags are huge, which I love. But they are fragile. I ripped one at the beginning of use, which wasn't a huge deal considering I had plenty more. I taped up the holes and that seemed to work fine, but I'm sure it will slowly leak air from this point on. The closing mechanism is a bit cheap, and the tab used to seal comes off easily which makes it even easier to lose.
Huge bag. Nice construction but won't survive rough handling.
November 3, 2015
Initially I loved these bags. They're huge! I can fit winter comforter, dome coat, etc. all in one bag. Sealing is easy and the plastic zipper is on the shorter side of the bag.The problem is that after 4 months of use and 2 moves, only 1 out of 4 bags survived. 3 of them developed small tears, which made them useless as vacuum storage bags. The plastic is pretty thin. So treat them gently and they should last.

September 20, 2015
Editing once more- these bags are okay for short term storage, maybe 3-4 months max. After that each of them began to fill with air again and needed to be vacuumed again. Not a huge deal, but a little bit of an inconvenience.***editing to add, after a couple of months of being stored, one bag started refilling with air and another ripped. Once compressed, they seem to tear more easily. The ones that have held up, have really done their job. These bags are awesome! They hold a ton of stuff and compress nicely. I haven't used the travel size one yet, and one bag did rip, but that was more user error. I would highly recommend them and will definitely buy them again should we need more.
A little flimsy, but they do the job
July 31, 2015
Fairly good product, and yes they are definitely large. After seeing reviews about them tearing easily I took a chance on them and I tried being careful with them but it looks like one of them must have gotten damaged when I was filling it because it started letting in air after two days. They don't really tear easily but I can see it being easy to poke a hole in them if it gets caught on something a little sharp. But, they work good enough for me. They work best for storing under a bed because they are so large. Just don't over fill them and make sure they are sealed. I'm sure there are sturdier bags you can find elsewhere though.

So far the two largest bags won't hold vacuum. Also three of the 47x32 same thing. Leaks at the vacuum port no matter how tight you make it. You can hear the leak very slight won't hold for even three hours. Very disapointed.
Wasted My Money
July 19, 2014
Very disappointing! We purchased these bags because we were moving and thought it would work great with space saving during the move and at the new place. Didnt even make it an hour before air was seeping through the volves. We tried it again at our new place trying to store blankets, same result, now we only blankets in bags. Not very well made and a waste of money in my opinion. I gave it a two star because 2 of the smaller bags actually held.
Not impressed
December 3, 2013
These bags aren't very good. Vacuuming them down until they're rigid is difficult because the gasket doesn't seal very well. As soon as you move the vacuum extension from the opening, you can hear air rushing back in, so it's a race to screw on the cap. Even then, a day later everything has expanded back to its normal size. About the only good thing about them is they at least can keep any bugs out of thing stored in the garage or attic.
Difficult to work with and they tear
October 14, 2013
They are rather difficult to work with and they may make your clothes smell bad (like plastic). Many of them tore or ripped, so they were not able to create a seal. Some of them were ok and they are really cheap, so maybe they are good for minimal wear-usage. It is really frustrating however to carefully pack your clothes into the bag and then have it tear, I definitely would go name-brand next time.
Stops working after 3-4 times.
June 4, 2012
I bought this mainly for the jumbo cover to put in my 3 inch king memory foam topper. The first time I used it , it worked perfectly. The topper fit in well and after vacuuming the air out the whole thing was compressed into a flat slab, very light and easy to store. The second time we used it, it slowly expanded over a week and after the third time it hardly stays flat for 3hrs before it gets back to its original size. The other larger cover , I used only once. I haven't opened it yet. Once I do , I don't know if I will be able to get it to close again. They work well the first time but after that not so much.On the whole, I am not happy with the quality of the product, but again you cannot expect much for the price.

I don't usually write reviews the day I get a product but in this case, I just have to. It's awesome. These are high-quality vacuum sealer bags. They have a valve that helps keep air from going back in. The air remover pump is awesome. At first, you pump and it seems like it isn't working...but then it just takes a minute to see it working. I love the bag sizes and fit a king size blanket in a bag, and a comforter in another bag and now my closet has so much more room! We have minimal closet space here so it's perfect! Can't wait to use these on a trip and see how much I can pack into one suitcase!UPDATEUnfortunately by morning one of the bags had lost its vacuum seal and was back to its normal size. I tried to reseal it and redo it but it is still getting air in it somewhere. At that point, I gave up and put it in another bag and sealed it.Then yesterday I was packing away more bags and found that 2 more bags were not sealing correctly and were also getting air in causing them to lose the vacuum seal. So out of 5 bags, I used so far 3 of them are not working properly.

It took me a while to use the bags, but when I did, they didn't work at all. I sealed the necessary areas and vacuumed out the air, but within a day the items were back to their normal size.
Great idea - poor product
November 6, 2015
Sealed several quilts in bag and placed under bed. A couple days later the seal came undone and I resealed. A couple of days later the same thing occurred. Great idea but doesn't work so well.
Speedy delivery, poor and inconsistent quality
August 31, 2015
I was really hoping these would work out for me, as I was moving out of state, and needed to maximize the room in my car for my belongings. I followed the directions to seal the bags properly, but two bags failed two times. Once before I left for the trip, and then again during my trip. It's not a good thing when vacuum bags fail while you're on the road. All of a sudden it became very hard to fit all my items in my car the next day, when I was trying to put my suitcase back in my car with less space. Great idea, but quality is not there.
Cool concept, not a very good product

Bag started leaking the second I tried to store it under the bed. Cool concept, not a very good product.

They are poor quality, and I wish I could get my money back.

These bags are terrible! I know it seems like a great deal, but it's not. Half of the bags have mysterious holes in them and keep filling up with air, and the ones that do work are a struggle because there is no plastic flap that holds in the air when you stop sucking the air out to seal the area. So really, I've thrown away half of the bags, and I cant wait to replace the other ones with better quality bags. Not worth even $21.00 and I'm so annoyed for making this purchase.
Didn't work well for me
April 11, 2017
I ended up giving these away because I found them too difficult to use and still bulky afterwards. They did fit a lot, but even airless I had to find a place to store my blankets and items and when compressed in the bags they are bulkier (and less flexible) to store. I also thought they took they squished the blanket fibers too much so they ended up too flat and had to be washed (flat and smell) upon opening the bags.
... used other types of vac bags - all with better quality materials
September 15, 2015
Over the last 10+ years I've used other types of vac bags - all with better quality materials, and I wasn't disappointed like I was with this product. When the first bag leaked, I chopped it up to my mistake. Right? Isn't that normally the case when using a specific type of product for the first time?OK. So I figure that the first one would just wind up being a plastic 'barrier' for the second one. This time I took the bag out VERY gingerly, carefully reread the instructions (they are the usual ones), and vac'd out the second bag with the first one in it. Yup; you guessed it. It ALSO leaked. I gave up since these were the only two that fit my item. Wound up putting it in a burlap bag and stashed it.If you're serious about using vacuum bags, try another brand. Yeah - got burned with this one DESPITE reading the ratings in advance. Shoulda taken the advice of one that I read stating that the bag leaked, so I just put her in the 'novice' folder.Put ME in that same folder! Live 'n learn.
Vacuum bags worked, rollup bags didn't
July 28, 2014
The seven vacuum bags I received worked just as advertised. The five rollup travel bags were absolutely useless. They barely hold anything, and getting the air out of them is extremely difficult. I wish I had purchased more of the vacuum bags and none of the rollup bags. We threw them away because they were so awful. Total waste of money.Edit: We packed the vacuum bags full of jackets and sweaters for our move. Before we even finished loading the rest of our stuff, all seven had broken open. These were awful. Did not work at all. I changed my review from 2 stars to 1. Beware!
Not the best for travel

i bought this product thinking it was the perfect solution to my cross country road trip. I was moving from CA to Boston and purchased the bags so I can pack my clothes and bedding. I packed the bags two days before heading to the east coast and 3 of the large one's leaked on me immediately. It was a bitch since my plan was to fit everything I had in my car. Unfortunately, I had to let go of a few more items before my big trip. During the road trip, the heat must have caused the other bags to leak as well.Would I ever buy this again? hell no!! Waist of money
One week after receipt: 2 of 7 are still working
July 27, 2012
One week after we received our order, only 3 of the 7 bags we've used so far are still vacuum-sealed. The other 5 appear to have small leaks; the result is the same as if we'd used regular zip-lock bags. We followed all of the instructions, including not packing the bags too full (we packed out-of-season clothing). Very disappointing.

After time, ...they all split, cracked or leaked.
February 28, 2017
We bought these in August of 2015. We needed to store a bunch of RV blankets, towels, sheets, pillows and such. These were all loaded, vacuumed and stored in our fully finished basement where the humidity and temperature are constant. These bags all gave way and eventually leaked. They either split and or basically fell apart. I guess the plastic used to make the bags is short-term and not meant for long-time storage? In any event, I am buying replacements today on Amazon and I'm hoping that they will last longer than these did. I am only giving them a one star because I actually bought another brand on the very same day and while they are smaller bags, they still perform flawlessly. I guess they were made for longer storage needs and with better plastic properties?

They don't stay sealed that great. The clips don't stay on the seal, and eventually they are useless. won't buy them again.
Still sealed as ever, 7 months later

Update- I packed my summer clothes in these and none of the three I used have held their seal after a few hours. I tried to reseal them again a couple of times with same results. Boo, will try another brand :(I've used several brands of these bags, and these are by far, the best. Just this weekend, I took out my summer clothes, and the bags were as sealed as they were back in November when I packed them. The winter clothes and sweaters have gone in, and I'm reasonably confident they'll be sealed as well when I pull them out of the basement in November! Only complaint is the size -they're really big. Too big to fit in a giant Rubbermaid container, like I used to do with a few of the other brands' smaller bags. However, because they remained sealed, not a big deal to just put them in storage, as is.
deflates after 2 weeks.
January 28, 2016
We have tried to make this work, but to no avail. No matter what it will deflate. Nothing more than a cheap gimmick. Might work if it had multiple interlocking zips...but who knows. Just avoid.
Not what I expected.

So initially I thought these were awesome. Filled it up, slide the bar across and turned the knob to close it or so I thought. Put it away in the closet, come back to see it back to the regular size. I do recall hearing a little hissing sound from the bottom corner and thought oh maybe it had a small hole in it. That being me to today. I removed all thitems and use a second bag. Same process. Ensured the top was secure turned and turned and turned to get it closed. Comeback to day and it looks as if I did nothing to it. These were a waste. Sucks because I saw a lady buying all the ziplock bag ones on clearance in Target thinking mine were just as good if not better. Guess I should have bought ziploc to start.
Difficult to work with, and break easily
July 4, 2015
The seal is a pain to get right and when I did, the bags tore when I tried to store them. I loved the size but what's the point when you can't even use them? I had much better luck with Ziploc and Magicbag vacuum bags.
