Well made and provides solid, stable support.
May 13, 2017
There's an On-Stage Youtube vid on how to assemble. It is solid as a rock. I play organ bass pedals anddon't feel the stand extends wide enough to put them in a comfortable position, but I'm not going to ding thisnice stand any stars for that. It it well made.
Excellent keyboard stand that found a second life as two level work bench.
July 21, 2016
This a solid, sturdy and easy to adjust keyboard stand. I recently upgraded to a 3 tier stand and repurposed this stand to hold audio, video and a variety of other tools and instruments in my workshop. It easily supports two 6' wood shelves and about 200 pounds of gear. A similar work station would cost hundreds of dollars. The assembly is a little tricky but once it's together it can be compacted to a very manageable size without the need to disassemble for moving.
Great solid stand
June 6, 2016
Very sturdy stand that will support even 2 88's. While it folds, - the top and bottom horizontals flip over, it's not an easy to transport item this way.to make it flat you have to take off the connector bars. I think this would get to be a real pain if you did this weekly. For studio use though it's great where its strength and stability are more important. The bars are 2" on the sides and it was easy to directly screw in with self drilling screws, a monitor mount arm. So I have 24" lcd attached to top horizontal bar. Could easily add one on other side, or speaker brackets .The big downside of this is that you can't make the 2nd their brackets more narrow to fit small keyboard. Still I was able to adjust this to hold 66 on the bottom and 49 on the top ok.

August 24, 2015
I've had this stand for a year now and have been using it in my home office to hold two 61-key keyboards. I have moved it around a little bit but not enough to evaluate durability for someone who's going to travel a lot with it. That said, the stand is very sturdy and I have never had any concerns about the keyboards falling or the stand collapsing. I also really like the adjustment mechanism for the height/tilt of the second tier. Prior to purchasing this stand I bought a different model from a different manufacturer; on that one the width of the top tier was adjusted independently of the bottom tier but it did so by tilting the arms in toward the middle. When this was combined with the tilt functionality the result was strange angles that never felt quite right. The downside of this stand's design is that it wouldn't do so well with two keyboards/synths that are drastically different widths (unless you put a board across the arms and set the instruments on the board). Overall, though, I'm very happy with the build quality and performance of this two-tier stand.
Multi-tiered Keyboard Stand
February 12, 2014
Bought this about 18 months ago and have been using it regularly. Last year my band played 48 shows. This not only survived, it thrived. I have 2 Alesis Keyboards, one that is 88 weighted keys, and the other 64 non-weighted keys. They both fit on this stand without any problems.Pros:This stand doesn't rock, shift, or feel unstable when I do glissando's or really get into the rock'n'roll style pounding. Even when it's on an uneven surface it's still very stable. There is plenty of leg room underneath for pedals (I've never hit my legs on the crossbars, even when searching for a stray pedal).Height Adjustable - this is great because I can play sitting down or standing up. Takes about 1 minute to adjust 1st tier height. The second tier's adjustment (height and angle) is really helpful. Everybody's style is different, and I've had friends be able to play both tiers without much time adjusting things.Compact - Sometimes I'll just collapse the crossbars and lower everything without taking anything apart. While it takes up room, it's fairly easy to maneuver and stack equipment around it. When I take it apart (down to the 2 crossbars and the 2 side Z's) it'll fit anywhere I need to put it.Cons:Sometimes assembling it can be difficult. Usually we play in bars where it's dark, so it can be difficult to see all of the holes. Also some of the parts don't line up perfectly (maybe off by 1/4 inch). A very little effort though will align things. Usually I don't take it completely apart so this isn't a huge problem for me. Anytime I'm assembling it where it's light I don't have any issues either.1st tier view - I've heard some of my friends say the 1st tier keyboard display gets covered by the 2nd tier keyboard. Maybe it's happened to me, but I haven't really noticed. I usually don't want to change sounds in the middle of a song (that's what the 2nd keyboard is for).Neutral:Weight - This is somewhat heavy for a keyboard stand, definitely heavier than the X-style stands. Compared to my keyboards, this stand is much lighter. The nice thing about it being heavy is that it is more stable. Since I only carry it around at the beginning and the end of the night, I'd rather have stability for the 4 hours of playing than a little less weight for 10 minutes of schlepping.Overall:Having used this keyboard for coming up on 2 years, I can recommend this to anyone considering a 2-tier keyboard stand. This has served me well. While I'm performing I can focus on playing and singing without worrying about my keyboard stand falling over.
It's a strong, sturdy, solid, stable stand!
September 17, 2013
I'm thrilled with how well this stand has met my very specific needs.Due to disability, I have to sit down when I play but, unfortunately, my old 2-tier X-stand holds my upper keyboard so high above the lower one that it blocks my view of the audience (even though I'm by no means short, at 6'1).Thankfully, this Z-style stand has fantastic vertical adjustability and I'm able to set it so that my upper keyboard sits just an inch or two above the lower one. Eye contact is important when you're performing on stage, and with this stand I can finally see over the top of my gear again. With both of my keyboards in place, this stand is truly solid as a rock. Unlike my X-stand, there's hardly any rocking motion when I'm playing with this stand (and I play very passionately).Out of the box, putting it together was only mildly troublesome. It's just a question of figuring out which piece is which, and which easy-turn knob fits in which hole, etc. Nothing too complex, but certainly a bit more involved than assembling a typical X-stand. However, once the initial set-up is complete, the Z-stand really shines...it's very simple to adjust the height, width, and 2nd-tier angle to match your personal preference. The versatility of this stand is remarkable! For transportation, it's obviously not as quick and easy as closing up an X-stand, but if you disconnect the two crossbars, you instantly have four separate pieces that can lie down flat. Remove the upper tier arms, and the footprint shrinks even further. You probably wouldn't need to do this all the time, but if you were to completely dismantle the stand, you could carry the entire thing in an average sized sports bag. It's well designed in that respect. It's more expensive than the traditional X-stands of course, but I think it's well worth the investment for the additional stability and versatility it provides. All in all, I LOVE THIS STAND! I've bought four or five different keyboard stands over the years, but I would buy this one again in a heartbeat. It's my new favorite.*************FYI, I also bought an On Stage KSA7575 Universal Keyboard Stand Microphone Attachment Bar, so that I can mount a microphone boom directly onto the rear of the stand. I'm happy to report that the round attachment fits perfectly and securely into the square tubing of this stand. In addition, I also ordered an On Stage QK2B Microphone Clip Quick Release so that I can remove the boom arm with just a quick push of a button, rather than having to rotate the whole thing around and around. It works like a charm! That's it! I hope you find this review helpful. Happy shopping!

Sturdy stand!
August 4, 2017
I use this for my Yamaha keyboard. My only regret about this product is that the small rubber grips that go on the "arm" can sometimes fall off (some are tight). I'm currently missing one and am unable to find a replacement so my stand is a bit rocky. Otherwise, GREAT product. Very sturdy. My keyboard has never fallen (even when my cat jumps up on it!). Adjusts nicely to a standing or sitting height.
Sturdy and effective
June 11, 2015
The stand is awesome. I see the negative reviews, it's possible the assembly instructions were no followed, the feet go on in a not so logical way, this makes the stand sturdy, or, a keyboard too heavy is being used, or, the stand is being moved or adjusted with the keyboard still on it.I find it sturdy, non slip caps on the feet, etc. I have a 72 key Yamaha.
good quality for the price
March 19, 2015
Purchased this as a gift for my wife. Works well with her M-Audio Oxygen midi keyboard. Haven't had it long enough to review the quality but she loves it so far.
OMG: READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!
December 29, 2014
The bottom and top bars are specifically longer on one side of the screw holes than the other. This is to compensate for the X pattern of the frame. The instructions tell you to mount the longer part of the bar on one side so it makes up for that part of the frame that is behind the other part of the frame. If you do this on both sides/ top and bottom, all bars will be parallel. Also, the rubber rings on the top are adjustable for keyboards that aren't as deep as the whole depth of the bars. Just slide them inward or outward depending on your keyboard. This is a good stand for home use. Don't expect it to stay upright when you are bouncing around like a mad man on stage. That's what pro stands are for.
A fine keyboard stand
August 26, 2014
I put my cumbersome Yamaha YPG-235 on this for use at home. The stand is plenty sturdy, at least on my floors, and adjusts to the right height for me (I am short). Make sure you read the assembly instructions carefully, because assembling it isn't what I would describe as intuitive. It is very easy to put one of the pieces on wrong and end up with a wobbly stand.Note that the screws come screwed into the ends of the legs, so if you're having trouble locating the screws, look there. My only problem with assembling this is that one of the screws was in the leg so tight that I had to whack the included hex key with a hammer in order to loosen the screw. However, aside from that, it went together easily and was fully operational within a few minutes.
The gigging man's keyboard stand
March 6, 2014
Like the title alludes, this is a classic must-have piece for any keyboard player.Whether you're practicing in a basement/garage, or playing a concert on a main stage, this stand gets the job done. Not only is easy to put together, but it's also light, and easily compact-able, and that's essential when you're on-the-go as most gigging musicians are. This stand even survived falling out of the back of a pickup truck, which is saying something, considering my last stand didn't survive falling off a 2-foot riser.I must admit, when I purchased this I needed something in a hurry and this was the only stand that was compatible with my Amazon Prime trial. Let's just say I figured I'd end up saying, "Oh well, you get what you pay for," but this stand survived all the show's I had booked this winter, and I'm still using it. So in the end, with this stand you get more than what you pay for, because this thing's dirt cheap too.

Decent for home studio, impractical for gigs
April 5, 2017
I use this in my home studio, since assembling/disassembling at every gig would be a pain.I wish it had more range, though, so it would be more comfortable to use when sitting as much as standing. As it is, it's a little low when standing, and a little too high when sitting.
Good Solid 2-Tier keyboard stand
January 22, 2017
I like the stand... nice look, solid base, adjustable. Everything I had hoped for. However, I had something of an issue with the packaging and workmanship. The package looked pre-opened and repacked, as if it was a returned item (I did not order a refurbished unit). Inside the box were no assembly instructions, so I had to turn to my trusty and usually reliable Google search and Youtube instructions which turned out to be fine enough. I did find a manufacturing defect where a hole was in an improper location. I needed to drill out a hole through the backside of the frame piece in order to get my second-tier bracket mounted (hence the one star deduction). I'm grateful I had my drill press and set of drills. All in all, I like this stand.
Decent stand but could use some adjustments
August 2, 2015
This is a solid stand and would of gave it five stars but there are two things I would of like to see fixed/altered. First the second tier, wish you could adjust the tier from going back and forth so it doesn't overlap the bottom keyboard so much, especially if there is a screen that you need to see. Last the brace on the bottom between the two main legs hits my knees if your using it in a sitting position. My best course of sitting is on a stool with you legs back. If they made it so there was only one bar instead of two then maybe it would work better for me.
Clunky, but sturdy.
July 8, 2011
The stand is incredibly stable, even on the top tier. I'm pretty sure every aspect of the stand is adjustable (with limits of course). If you have an incredibly heavy keyboard (50lb+) this stand will easily handle it (the top tier should as well-no promises). There are drawbacks to such stability though...The stand is a tad confusing to set up, but i got it ready in under 25 min. As a guess, I think the stand itself weighs 40lbs- this becomes annoying with its portability issues. Carrying the stand as is is easy, but don't expect it to fit in the backseat/trunk of your car without some disassembly. I finally found a relatively quick way (under 2 min.) to make the stand compact and somewhat easy to carry- eMail me at g8tr1522@aol.com if you have questions about that-. Otherwise, the stand is quite difficult to transport.Overall, the stand offers amazing stability for such a small price. Even considering its major drawbacks of portability, I would still definitely recommend this stand to anyone who wants a reliable two-tier stand for a small price.
Mostly Good
January 18, 2011
Sturdy, pretty good adjustability. A bit cumbersome for tranporting and setting up (lots of separate pieces to deal with). The top and bottom widths are the same, so both keyboards need to be approximately the same width (you can't "angle in" the top tier arms like you can on some of the 2-tier X-Frame stands). The biggest benefit for this type of Z-Frame stand is having lots of room for feet and pedals if you play seated and/or use a lot of pedal effects / loopers, etc, in additon to sustain/volume pedals. I like the fact that the top tier is totally optional and can be removed entirely (on some stands the top tier can only be folded out of the way, not removed).I'm not crazy about the adhesive foam pads for the bottom tier, but so far they work fine. I do like the adjustable "front stops" on the top tier that keep your top board from sliding off the front. They are height-adjustable so they don't interfere with key action if you set them correctly.Overall a good value for the money. If you don't need to play seated and/or don't need a lot of room for feet and pedals I'd recommend a 2-tier X-Frame style stand instead (much easier to transport and set up) or maybe a 2-tier column stand (if you can afford one...they are trendy and overpriced). The other commmon option is an A-Frame stand but I've never owned on of those. They are probably a good choice if you need 3 tiers.
Super solid overall but a few important notes before you buy
March 19, 2010
First off I love this stand and would have given it 5/5 if not for a few things.I have an M-Audio 49 key midi keyboard that rests on the top portion of the rack and a 1970's Wurlitzer 200a that sits on the lower (main) portion.I purchased this rack because my Wurli's original legs were getting loose in the MDf board where they screwed into the bottom of the Wurli - Needed something new and secure that it could sit on and it had to be safe for my two-year-old to do chin-ups on (i know, right.. kids). This stand is ultra-solid and it passes the kid test for sure. I love that it does not shake or move at all - very solid so 5 stars for that. The only issue I have with it (and pay attention vintage keyboard users) is that it has limited height adjustments. So in the case of the Wurlitzer I own that causes problems because it has an old, proprietary sustain pedal with a short cable... the pedal now does not reach the floor (as this stand sits a bit higher than average). In my case I just found a wood block that the pedal now sits on so it still works - but not perfectly.All-in-all you'd be hard pressed to find a better stand like this (and my Wurltizer is super-heavy) but pay attention to the height if pedal cable length is an issue at all.

A bit wobbly.
August 17, 2017
Picked this up for my Nektar Impact 61 Key (approx. 10lbs). This stand is nice and lightweight, seems like it's made out of decent materials. Simple setup. I like the height as well. Can't give it a 5 star for the fact that it's a bit wobbly/uneven. Nothing severe, but enough to bug me.
Just what you need
February 18, 2017
I gave this product four stars because it is very solid, easy to assembly, fully adjustable to what I would say would work for just about anyone from kid to adult, and durable. My 13 year old plays the heck out of her Casio and she loves this stand. Only thing that bothers me, It's hard to explain but you will know what I mean when you see it. They just don't line up right, one side stick out more that the other and it bothers me. You can adjust the little things on the ends to make it better but it always seems to be off when I move it around.
Not bad for a cheap stand
December 21, 2015
Not the most amazing keyboard stand out there, but it does the job. 90% of the time it just sits in a room holding a keyboard. A few weeks ago we took it with us to set up to play. It was easy for me (an adult) to pull the knob to lower it, but for my 12 yr old son, he could not pull the knob to release it. The stand was able to be used for him standing up (5'-1") but I think a taller person would have issues with the height. Sitting it fine and there are adjustments to get you close to sitting height.
Value for Money
December 17, 2013
It does what was advertised. I use that for home purpose with a YPG 235, so I really don't know if it will weather the pounding that could come onstage. However, at home, with a little 8 year old slamming the keyboard, it does take it well. Assembly instructions are fairly straight forward.ProsThe big plus is that it could be put together in about 10 minutes.Easy to move it around.Initially I thought the screws required for mounting the smaller arm were missing in the package. However, i later found that they were in the slots.ConsThe threads were a little off, but when I tried a couple of times, it became a bit easy. The small supporting arms could be a bit confusing, but one can figure it out quickly. Number stickers would have made this task easier.
Nice and Functional
March 14, 2013
I purchased this stand because I wanted to start learning how to play the keyboard. I looked through numerous stands and not many stood out on their own so I relied heavily upon reviews of each of the products in order to make an informed decision.I knew that I needed something that was tall enough so that when I stood and played it would hold up and well be the right height. This fit the bill very well. It is also easily movable from room to room if you are cleaning or just want to go to another part of the house and play.I would give this a 5 but I am not particularly fond of the grips at the top where the keyboard will sit. I would rather have some sort of locking mechanism in place so that my keyboard did not just sit on top of essentially two posts. The keyboard and easily come off of it if you just bump it while you were walking by.Overall, this is a good product and has help up just fine to being moved and having the keyboard on it all the time. I would definitely recommend this to someone who just plays causally like I do.
Solid for the price
January 21, 2011
Instead of the assembly screws coming in a small bag, they are hidden in the holes they screw into on the stand.Other than that, this stand is nice and sturdy, VERY strong, and a great value. Holds my huge Casio WK-3200 with ease.Looks nice too. Recommended.

February 6, 2017
The stand seems good. The first thing I want to mention is something that I'm disappointed in. I searched for at least an hour trying to find out HOW DEEP this stand is at the BASE!! The base meaning, AT THE FLOOR. I couldn't find it anywhere. Even on the packaging... it doesn't say. All the reviews and questions answered that I found for this item refer to a 16 1/2 inch base... which I assumed the base would be the floor supports for the stand... ERRRRRRR!! For anyone interested... the DEPTH of the BOTTOM LEGS is the stand is 21 1/2 inches! I probably would have bought a different stand if I had knows this because I was looking for a stand to fit a very specific spot in my studio and 16 1/2" would have been perfect. But that wasn't the case/// and it doesn't quite fit... so I'm quite irritated that this information wouldn't be listed anywhere.Other than that... the stand is sturdy. I second tier is not adjustable to its own length though. And the bars hang a little too far forward so it tends to block some of the controls on the first tier unit. Most people love this stand however.. and I'm sure I would as well, if fit perfectly like I thought it would. Oh well.

Great Stand, but Needed Modifications
June 3, 2016
Great heavy-duty stand. My stand had the cross support much much higher than the photo here. I think they welded the side uprights upside-down by comparison of the nut locations. I had to modify stand to lower the cross support to clear my knees so I could sit closer to the keyboards(as shown in the stock photo), and had to shorten the rear of the main level extensions for the upper keyboard to move it about 1-1/2" closer as well. I'm fairly tall, but the reach was excessive. This stand is rock-solid, where my X-type stand left my keyboards rocking side-to-side at least an inch while playing.

Very confused
March 23, 2017
Probably my own fault for not knowing this before purchasing, but the stand's legs won't line up straight so you can't set it up straight against a wall. Also, no idea how to stabilize the keyboard on it. There's no sort of latch or cord to attach to the keyboard. I can't imagine musicians using this as the keyboard wobbles all around. What am I missing?
Nice Microphone Stand, Just WIsh They Showed Pictures Without the End Caps On Them
February 9, 2017
I gave it a 3 star rating because the keyboard stand is great just for what I need it for! However the disappointing thing about this stand is the longer bars (which has no end caps) belong on the bottom, while the short bars (which has end caps intergraded in them) are on the top! I've purchase a On Stage KSA7575+ for this keyboard stand so I can mount a microphone on one of the top bars, however as I said the top bars (which is the short bars are intergraded with end caps) which means I have no way of installing my KSA7575+ microphone adapter!Unless someone can explain to me how to pop off these end caps on the short bars so I can use my KSA7575+ microphone adapter.

I had immediate trouble with my respiratory chemical sensitivities because of the oil/preservative which this stand is covered in, probably as a rust or corrosion inhibitor.
I liked this stand better before it broke
December 15, 2015
I liked this stand better before it broke. I had it for maybe four months, with a little 49-key extremely lightweight keyboard on it. Today, the thought process went something like, "Why is this wobbly? Huh? What the? Oh. Because the support arm is going, going, and now it's gone."The threaded sheet metal deal inside the tube let go. It would take a welder to fix that correctly. I don't have a welder, so I slathered it with gobs and gobs of super glue. That will hold until I get around to buying a real keyboard stand.
Weak stand
June 1, 2015
For the price, this is an acceptable stand. It is very wobbly however once you place the piano on and start jamming. The piano is probably too heavy for this unbalanced stand, although it does not affect much but still very annoying.
This is a nice lightweight stand
October 20, 2014
This is a nice lightweight stand. It seems stable so far, with light use from my daughter. I am only giving it 3 stars, because we had a few problems with the set up. The screws for the cross-bars are screwed into the legs for shipping, and you have to unscrew them and then rescrew them in through the cross-bars to set it up. One of the screws was in so tight that my husband stripped it with the allen wrench trying to get it out. We would have had to ship the whole thing back, except that we had some workmen at the house and they were able to get the screw out with some additional tools and a fair bit of WD 40 spray. The manufacturer should be careful not to screw the screws into the legs so tightly that you can't get them out!

It would be great if the rubber pieces didn't reek of what smells like gasoline. I mean... it reeks. I'm still using it, but man, it really reeks. I don't really understand why it stinks so bad. The whole stand reeks, but what spread the reekiness is the rubber pieces. I'm going to try soaking them in degreaser, then bleach, then vinegar to see if it cuts down on it.

This is decent and easy to put together but the metal bars are uneven after attaching them together. This causes the whole stand to move each time a key is pressed down. Had to put something underneath 2 bars to make them even. Overall, this seems sturdy but could have been better made.

Disappointed
January 4, 2015
This stand came recommended to use with a keyboard I purchased, but it doesn't securely hold the keyboard. The keyboard slid all over the place and I was worried that the keyboard would fall off and become damaged, so I ordered a different stand that screws into the keyboard itself. This stand might be okay for someone who moves their keyboard from place to place and wants the convenience of being light and portable?

Wobbly and cheap. Wouldn't trust my keyboards with it.
September 16, 2016
Product is very wobbly. One bolt arrived stripped and two missing. The top tier of the unit is far too close to the bottom tier. If you have a keyboard on each teir you cannot see half of the bottom keyboard. It should cost a good bit less than it does.
On-Stage? More like Off-Stage!
October 13, 2015
This is by far one of the worst stands I have bought. I play with a band every week and during the week I usually used this stand to take with me to setup and place my keyboard on for rehearsals. The first couple of months of use were great besides the time that it took me to put it together and tear it back down so it would fit into my car. Then one of the knobs that helped adjust the width of the stand broke off when I was tightening it to the width I wanted. Then some of the knobs that I used to put in some of the height adjustment holes stripped out and after that the stand wasn't even worth using because it made the stand so unstable. For the money I paid for this stand I expected more from it then just a couple months use! Best thing I ever did with this stand was take it off stage and never used it again! Don't waste you're time and money on this stand! There are probably better and cheaper stands out there that will hold up a lot longer than two months!

Be ready to take your chances
September 20, 2010
I've bought a guitar stand and a mic stand from OnStage, and they have served me well. From the knobs to the legs, this stand is simple and reliable. The assembly was easy. Nice product. The only issue was that one of the top tubes of the z leg was warped, and so the 2nd tier couldn't fit in. It was an obvious defect that even my untrained eye noticed as soon as I took it out of the box. Shouldn't they check the parts before shipping them out? I wrote them a polite e-mail describing the problem two weeks ago, and I'm still waiting for a reply. I can't buy a replacement leg anywhere, so my 2nd tier isn't worth jack squat. This company doesn't have its act together. I'm not buying their products anymore. If you buy a stand from them, be ready to take your chances.

Unusable due to preconstruction
September 20, 2017
One of the bolts was so tightly pre-threaded it was impossible to remove. The hex tool they provide was unable to do anything other than strip the hex bolt, meaning I was unable to attach one of the arms and the whole thing useless.
not a good option for a house with young children

Unstable, rickety, not a good option for a house with young children. Very disappointed in the quality of this product. We returned it.
Cheap Construction

Very wobbly stand. It's supposed to be a universal, one-size-fits-all stand, but my Yamaha keyboard doesn't fit no matter how much I try to adjust it. They keyboard slides around because the bars on the stand don't line up with the niches they're supposed to click into underneath. It doesn't feel sturdy at all.
missing pieces, buyer beware

Came with 2 of the 4 necessary support bars, rendering the product useless for the only show I needed it for. Thanks for the 10lb paperweight, I guess.
