Seems like it's been stored for years with that smell. Crayons themselves are ok, although in most boxes (I ordered the 6 pack) there was at least one crayon with the label sliding off. That wouldn't be a big deal to me personally but I'm buying bulk school supplies as a part of my back to school supply drive to hand out to local low income students so I'm a little disappointed. I don't want to give them a product in this condition. Hopefully the smell dies down before I hand them out or I'll just have to purchase individually from the store.
