Leave the lid open . . .
October 14, 2017
I spent a lot of time researching these smaller cleaners and finally selected this one - as I was not confident many of the others were large enough to hold a pair of common glasses/sunglasses. This one is large enough and I am using it often. I've read about some of them failing and so as a precaution, I looked to see where it was vulnerable. I can see that the On/Off switches could somewhat easily 'die' from humidity and/or condensation getting to them. For that reason, I operate the unit with the lid open. I'm not confident that they have adequately 'sealed' the lid with the gasket to protect the switches. Closing the lid doesn't help or enhance the cleaning, and it only marginally muffles the sound - even with the lid open, it's pretty quiet. So yes, I'm very happy with it - but you might do what I do and run it with the lid always open.
Highly recommended!

Good price for what turns out to be an extremely useful and effective, no-frills, compact machine ... so far works exactly as advertised - strongly recommend you carefully read and follow instructions/directions - very visible, quick and excellent results! Highly recommended generally for all sorts of cleaning, and very specifically for anyone that uses shaving blades/cartridges you know how expensive the brand names are - this little gem will extend the blade life by several weeks if you clean it once each week - separately many people ask whether this will clean a watch - it will clean all watch components BUT I do not recommend you stick your watch with the movement in the case into the machine or any other ultrasonic cleaner - the watch movement will be adversely affected especially if it's a battery operated watch - far easier to clean a watch with a toothbrush and polishing cloth!
Works amazing!! Although I used bottled water only

Works amazing!! Although I used bottled water only, with a few caps of blitz gem and jewelry cleaner it cleaned my wedding rings to look brand new! I usually go to my jewerler to clean my rings and they suggested this cleaner. I highly recommend this product!!
Really great jewelry cleaner!
September 22, 2016
I LOVE this jewelry cleaner. I bought it mainly for earrings I wear constantly, so they end up getting hair products stuck to them. I had tried other "ultrasonic" cleaners which were just poorly made versions of what this is. I ended up cleaning everything I had and some friend's pieces. It leaves your jewelry absolutely sparkling and even did a great job on eyeglasses. When I first purchased this, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as taking your items to a jeweler, but it has surpassed that. Now I use it several times per month and everything looks great.
This thing is A M A Z I N G
May 17, 2009
I read all the reviews before purchasing and I was a little worried about what I was going to get for under $20.

I can assure you that what I got is something amazing. As other reviewers said, it doesn't do much in just plain water. But, if you add a few drops of dishwasher soap and warm water....WOW!!!

It cleaned up my wife's diamond ring and earrings so that they looked like we just bought them that day from the jeweler. Maybe even better if that is possible!

I was so addicted to seeing things come out cleaner than I can ever remember that I then threw pretty much anything in the house that would fit into the thing with surprising results every time: Keys, glasses, watches, pocket knives, coins, letter opener, cellphone (just kidding) etc. After I was done with all that, I took it to my family's houses and cleaned everything in their houses that would fit! Unbelievable results again every time. After everyone stopped making fun of me for being a male obsessed with cleaning women's jewelry, I decided to write this ridiculously positive review.

There is NO WAY jewelry can get any cleaner than after a few cycles in this thing with soap and warm water. Don't waste your money on a more expensive unit (as I almost did).

The only thing I can't speak to is reliability. Since I just got the thing a few days ago I am not sure how it will hold up. It feels like good quality but who knows about the electronics. I will update this review if/when the thing stops working. But even if it gives me a year of use its still way cheaper than most the other alternatives that had decent reviews.

So far so AMAZING!

And most importantly:
***DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME USING THIS THING WITHOUT A FEW DROPS OF SOME KIND OF GENTLE DETERGENT OR PRODUCT MADE FOR CLEANING JEWELRY***

Good Product, Cleans Well
June 18, 2017
Works extremely well, jewelry came out clean as promised. I'd recommend running everything twice through the machine though (2 sessions of 3 minutes) as that seems to make the jewelry as clean as possible. Oh, and enjoy reading the directions. Seriously, read them. The translations into English are so poor you will actually get some entertainment value reading them. The unit is small and compact so don't feel like you are losing counter space.
RETURN TO SPARKLE WITH MONEY TO SPARE!
June 4, 2017
It has gotten so expensive to have good jewelry cleaned at the jewelry store, and I tried toothpaste with a toothbrush on my stuff-it was ok. I am so happy we got this machine, very user friendly, just read all directions carefully first to be safe; it does a GREAT job in professional cleaning-I did purchase a cleaning solution with the machine, and diluted the solution with water-got EXCELLENT results in just a few minutes...-if you're on the fence and you love your jewelry go for it, money well worth spent-you will save on cleaning outside in the long run!
Quality and Performance
May 14, 2017
Great product. Quality build. Works as advertised. Has a 3 minute timer which is generally adequate for cleaning soap and dirt off jewelry. Stainless steel cleaning chamber. Nice plastic tray to hold your jewelry in the cleaning solution. We did not buy the expensive cleaning solution. Simply put a few cc's of a household cleaner in the stainless tank and add water.
Far better than my expectations
March 20, 2017
I was a little leary because of many mixed reviews. I actually purchased this on accident as I meant to put it in my wishlist and actually put it in my cart. Best accidental purchase ever! Love this! I threw in 2 platinum necklaces, my wedding ring and some miscellaneous Lia Sophia earrings (knowing full well there was the potential for damage to them based on reviews). Everything turned out fantastic. I did three cycles because of how filthy my jewelry was and they are super sparkling clean. No scrubbing, no fancy cleaning solution. I did one cycle with a drop of dawn dish soap and the other two cycles with nothing other than tap water. I even have friends that will be bringing over their jewelry to try it out and see if they want to buy one too!No I wasn't paid for my review, no I didn't receive a discount - I paid full price and even bought this accidentally. I do love to give honest and true product reviews as I base a lot of my purchases on other peoples reviews. Please let me know if this review was helpful!
Fantastic! Large Size! A Must Buy!!!!!!
January 25, 2017
My jewelry looks BRAND NEW and soooo shiny! I can easily clean necklaces, my glasses, watches, and earrings at the same time due to the large size! A must buy especially for the price!I took a video but it wouldn't allow me to post it. So I posted a screenshot of my rings after having cleaned them. My camera wouldn't focus that close up in the video but you can clearly see how shiny and sparkling my rings look.
Works as Advertised!
December 2, 2016
I've only had this about two weeks. So far, I'm extremely satisfied with it. I have it set up in a pull-out drawer with an electrical outlet in my bathroom, and I just drop my jewelry in there and run it while getting ready in the morning. I've cleaned all my husband's glasses as well, and he says that they are super clean. This machine is ridiculously easy to work--plug it in, fill with water, put jewelry in the included basket, and click the ON button. It makes a very quiet buzzing noise to let you know it is working. The sound is very soft--just enough to reassure you that the cycle is still running. Everyone comments on how sparkling my diamond ring is!

Just received my package yesterday & put my inside to see if it could work magic on my ring ... added the water and a few drops of the blitz jewelry cleaner & when u turn it on u can actually see the dirt coming off I did have to take a tooth brush with some blitz to get into Lil cracks up under my ring but it honestly looks brand new! I put it against my wedding band in which I'm not wearing yet bc I'm not married yet & it looks just like the wedding band! Very shiny & clean! Absolutely love it especially for the price! It's no steam cleaner but it gets the job done.
Does pretty well. I bought it primarily to clean airbrushes and parts.
July 4, 2017
Does pretty well. I bought it primarily to clean airbrushes and parts. Does a better job on metal and glass than plastic, so far . Did take part of the metalized finish off of a pair of glasses, but they are getting older and the lenses were as clean as when I got them.BE CAREFUL: I emptied and rinsed it and somehow it apparently got wet somehow inside - would not start. I had to set it out in the sun for a few ours to dry it up, and it works again.
Pretty good cleaner
December 13, 2016
Doesn't clean as well as my previous sharper image cleaner worked but is larger and holds more stuff. I like the fact that it has a lid. I wish the holes in the plastic basket were smaller. I have diamond studs that continually fall through the holes. I would also like for the basket to have a small handle so you can lift it out without getting cleaning fluid all over your fingers. I usually run it 2-3 times with straight windex, I do still sometimes have to brush them to get them truly clean.
Pretty good budget jewelry cleaner.
January 20, 2016
This is a pretty decent, no frills, jewelry cleaner. The added part for cleaning watch bands is a nice plus. I found that on it's own with just tap water, it doesn't clean the best. Add in a drop of gentle dish soap and a little ammonia/window cleaner, and gets our jewelry just as clean as when we used to take our stuff to the jeweler. Just don't expect it to get it clean after the first run. I generally have to run through three cycles to really get the jewelry clean, which is the reason for only four stars. I had a smaller cleaner way back in the day that was more expensive, but cleaned completely on the first cycle. That said, it's not a huge deal to hit the on button a couple times to get the jewelry nice and clean.
DDDS = Dirty Diamonds Don't Sparkle
January 10, 2016
I've bought 4 of these over the years - I can't live without them! I even bought one for work and it's a fav gift for the newly engaged. But, they die after a LOT of use and after a while. I guess I buy one every other year or so. At this price, I just buy another. But don't expect to get 10 years out of this unit. It ain't gonna happen.Since the timer is 3 min, I brush my teeth & clean my jewelry. Clean teeth & clean diamonds!I don't bother with fancy liquids - I bought a huge cheap jug of ammonia & mix with water and a few drops of Dawn dishwasher liquid.Beware putting in jewelry that has tiny diamond pave -or mele - it can shake tiny diamonds out of their settings. Also NEVER put Pearls or soft stones like Emeralds into a jewelry cleaner - you will ruin them. Pearls need to be worn (the body oils help keep them conditioned) and just wiped down with a soft jewelry cloth. This is GREAT for sterling jewelry!
An essential tool for a "fancy" person.
September 19, 2014
In my quest to disguise myself as a fancy lady, I've realized that taking good care of the items you have it instead of say, just acquiring more junk "Hoarders" style, is a much more successful way to trick others into thinking you are the kind of person who like, reads the news and refuses to take the bus and stuff like that. I saw this little gadget was well reviewed and inexpensive so I clicked some buttons and VOILA, the amazon magicians brought that little baby to my apartment. I read some people said they could get their stuff clean using just warm water and dish liquid so I tried that and uhhh... what the heck was your jewelry dirty with? Water? Because that didn't work at all, dude. So I consulted the amazon magicians again and clicked more buttons and a slightly slower VOILA! A bottle of Blitz Gem & Jewelry Cleaner Concentrate (8 Oz) appeared. Modern 2 day shipping magic. NOW WE'RE IN BUSINESS. Things were sparkling in no time. Jewelry from old boyfriends glittered like they were given to me by current boyfriends. Random coins in my kitchen were looking BALLER. I have to eventually give myself a little talk - "YOU CAN'T CLEAN IT ALL, VIOLET, YOU'RE A MANIAC." I mean, if I had to complain (and lets be real, I always do), I wish the light turned off after it's done running. It does automatically turn off after the 3 minutes go by but you have to unplug it in order for the light to go out. But that's barely a complaint, really. Magnasonic, can you make one of these human size so I can glimmer like a 90's Mariah Carey or one of those Twilight vampires? Just an idea.

Pretty good little device
April 29, 2017
I've had jewelry cleaned professionally at the jewelry store, and this machine isn't equivalent to that. But it does a decent job of cleaning glasses and rings, dental night guard/partials, etc. I didn't find it very effective with plain water and after trying that a couple times now use just a single drop of Dawn liquid at the start of the cycle. It's quick, doesn't take up much space to store, and handy to have at home. Definitely easier than jewelry cleaners or polish that require buffing, rinsing, and so on. Good alternative at a very reasonable cost.
Good but not as strong as heavy duty professional cleaners.
January 27, 2017
It's good, it cleans ok but hoped it cleaned for longer and better. If you plan on cleaning silver jewelry or other items save the hassle and use baking soda with hot water and aluminum foil to get way better results. This cleaner works fine for dental night guards, tooth brushes, plastics and non silver jewelry just fine. Wish it had more modes than on or off. A setting for 2 or 3 sequential cleaning cycles would be ideal. Some dish soap will help clean better, just make sure you rinse it well. Do Not get the device wet besides the tank it can short out.
Does what it says but it isn't a miracle worker.
September 13, 2016
I use this for cleaning jewelry, retainers, and electric razor components and it works well if paired with a cleaning solution (retainer or jewelry cleaner) but it isn't going to remove deep stains or anything. My retainers seem to be cleaned nearly as well by just using the retainer cleaning tabs by themselves so I don't really know how much this does. However, it's lasted so far (four months about) and done well for almost daily use. Simple and well made.
Very Good not excellent
January 27, 2016
It is very good at cleaning jewery and such. However it is not as good as a professional cleaning. I submerged my husbands gold ring in the machine and although it did clean it, it did not clean it completely. I took it into the jeweler and had it sized and they cleaned it and you could see the difference. So that is what accounts for the four stars. That being said, I use it to clean my costume jewelry and it does a good job. The watch accessory included wlith the machine is useless because it sticks up out of the water line so that the watch cant get cleaned. So I don't use it, I just throw the watch in and turn it on. Also it cleans in 3 minute increments at a time so you have to push the button over again to extend the cleaning time for as long as it takes to get the right results.

Worthwhile Cleaning Machine
July 15, 2015
I'm very happy with this product, especially given the price. I bought it primarily to clean jewelry and when I tried it with jewelry that was already pretty clean I couldn't really tell the difference after one round. So I decided to test it on a pair of nail clippers that were in visible need of a good cleaning. Used water and a bit of dishwashing liquid. After one round (3 minute cleansing cycle) the water in the machine was dirty so I replaced it and I could already see improvement. It took four or five rounds to get the thing super clean and I had to clean the crevices on the inside with a q-tip. But even that dirt was loosened and easy to remove. The results are pretty amazing. And the water doesn't even get hot! The one annoying thing is that the cleaning cycles are only 3 minutes long. I'd love to just set the machine to say 10 minutes if I have a super dirty item so I don't have to keep resetting it. But this thing definitely works.

Seems to be weak.
July 23, 2017
Had this unit for several months now and only issue is that the cleaning "power" seems to be somewhat weak. I expected to see jewelry and eye glasses totally cleaned after one 3-minute cycle but have had to run up to 5-6 cycles to get the results I wanted. Yes, I'm using cleaning liquid (detergent), but just expected better (quicker) results. Otherwise, works fine.
Would like an adjustable timer

I don't have anything to compare this to, but it doesn't clean as well as I had hoped. Might be the fact that 3 minutes is the only option. Plug it in turn it on, shuts off after 3 minutes.....

January 3, 2017
So I got this hoping it would be a good alternative to having to use a small brush to clean under the diamond in my engagement ring, unfortunately not quite as effective as I'd hoped. I might actually return it if I can... I don't know how well it works with other jewelry but after two cleaning cycles I pulled my ring out and rinsed it off and dried it, and I could still see oily residue dulling the brilliance of my ring so I added blitz cleaner to the mix and ran it for three minutes...No go...Finally just used a brush
Good value for the money, but I would spend more for a more vigorous cleaner. Expect multiple cleaning sessions.
December 13, 2016
Mostly good, but does not really clean superwell. Have to run it 2-3 times. For minor cleanups of jewelry it's good. But for very dirty pieces expect 2-3 runs and don't even think about using it with just water. You will need the cleaning fluid for almost all jobs. For the money it's hard to complain. But I would be willing to spend more on a more vigorous cleaner.
Satisfied but not thrilled
July 25, 2016
I bought this specifically for one ring. It has a lot of spaces on it that gunk can build up. When I first received this product I tossed my ring in it a few times and didn't see much of a result. Then I took a small brush and a little cleaning solution to it and then let it run on one cycle of the Sonic Wave and that is when I noticed a difference.I have not tried it on anything other that jewelry but it is big enough to fit a pair of glasses.
and I don't know if I got a bad unit, didn't use correctly
February 20, 2015
I bought this because it had tons of positive reviews, and I don't know if I got a bad unit, didn't use correctly, or what, but it failed at even the most simple tasks, like removing smudges from the lenses of my glasses or water spots from silverware. It definitely had some ultrasonic activity (poked some holes in a sheet of foil when I did the foil test), but I don't think it was nearly as good of a result as I saw on most of the youtube videos demoing the foil test...I sent it back and didn't get a replacement because it was kind of an impulse buy, but if I needed it, I'd probably give them another chance to send a better unit and/or invest more time into understanding how to make it work correctly. It only cycles for 3 minutes, and i'm not confident that the cycle time is enough to clean ANYTHING, so plan on many cycles if you're wanting to remove tough spots from silverware, jewelry, etc.

April 5, 2017
I really wanted to love this product but we ended up returning it because it just didn't deliver as promised. My wedding ring or glasses for example barely looked cleaner after using this and I really expected more. I'd rather save the money and clean my things in a different and more efficient way.
Good for the price.
December 2, 2016
It gets things cleaner but I am not sure how. It's strange to watch things get cleaner because it doesn't look like anything is happpening beyond it making noise. Sometime I have to clean things 2 - cycles which is why I am giving it a 3 star.
Great for the price
July 7, 2016
I used this to clean airbrushes and it works okay. I was rough on mine going as far as even using light solvents which ultimately led to this falling apart fairly quickly. It is built of cheap thin plastics but gets the job done for the most part. For what I do I should probably being using a Stainless steel commercial unit. This is why I am giving them 3 stars I feel like under normal household use conditions the product would have lasted years. I did end up buying another one of the same product because the price is right and I need something to hold me over until I find a suitable commercial version.
You get what you pay for!
April 21, 2016
I was so hopeful that my jewelry would look like it just came from the jewelry store but after multiple tries in the cleaner it was only barely clean. With this being said my jewelry was very dirty. I tried cleaning two rings, a necklace and a bracelet. When I received my jewelry cleaner machine I had not received the Blitz Gem & Jewelry Cleaner Concentrate yet (I added a drop of blue Dawn detergent). Perhaps this will make a difference. I am hopeful.

August 15, 2015
Overall this little guy was pretty good, and while it didn't clean everything I expected, it's still a pretty useful tool. Basically, if there is heavy buildup, it didn't do so well, even after multiple cycles. It performed well on various pairs of glasses, getting out the dirt and algae build-up with just water and a couple of cycles. I had some articles of silver that cleaned well too.It didn't do so well on a couple of retainers that I had. Even with a bit of dishwashing soap and multiple cycles, there wasn't any noticable improvement in stain removal or build-up. I also had some various coins I tried to clean for fun, but they didn't come out any better. The machine itself works quietly and is easy to clean. The one clean cycle on this model was too short. It tends to heat up after a few cylces, don't know if that's normal, but I was afraid to run it more. I would probably buy one with a larger capacity next time, as well as a model with different, longer cycle lengths.
May Die Forever After a Few Months
June 12, 2015
This cleaner seemed to work fairly well: it was simple to use, cleaned things, and was a breeze to operate. However, the device suddenly quit working after a cycle (I generally ran it twice). I had plugged it in, filled it with water, added the object to be cleaned, turned it on, and left the room. A few minutes after the cycle completed (I had gotten distracted), I went to run the cycle again (only for a portion as the device does have a "Stop" button) but it wouldn't start. I emptied the device, let it dry for a week, then tried operating it again but it was still unable to start.I'm giving this three stars as it did work as intended for a while and my issue may only be an anomaly (given the abundance of other positive reviews).

Diamonds fall out of settings after using this device
December 7, 2015
I have been using this device for almost 1 year. I clean my diamond rings and eyeglasses with it, about once or twice a month. I use warm water from my tap with a small drop of hand soap and run the program twice. Over this time period two of my rings have lost a total of 4 diamonds from their settings after being cleaned. The ones that have come out are all smaller accent diamonds and not the main diamonds of the rings. In one case the diamond fell out some time after cleaning, but in the other three cases the diamonds were jostled out *during* the actual cleaning, so the little diamonds were just sitting in the bottom of the reservoir when I pulled out the basket. I can't say definitively that the cleaner is causing this, but it is very striking to have this happen on three occasions. One ring is over 20 years old, worn every day and never lost a diamond. The other ring is about 2 years old, also worn daily. Neither of these rings lost any diamonds until I started using this cleanerSo, I am not going to use this device any more because I can't risk my jewelry.
Broke after a year
July 24, 2015
A fine product in and of itself, but it broke after a year. The on/off buttons are in the lid, and the connection in the hinge got corrupted. For a month or so I could wiggle it into action, but now... dead. Shame. When it worked, it worked great.
annoying blue light
February 5, 2015
Works just fine, but when plugged in there is a bright blue light inside the unit that is incredibly obnoxious. A small red light on the outside turns on when it's in use (as if you couldn't tell by the humming sound), but the blue light stays on whenever it is plugged in. I use this to clean my airbrush gun several times a day, so I keep it plugged in, and I really wish the light wasn't there. After about 7 months of use the black plastic piece on the lid broke off, taking the small handle bit with it. Makes it almost impossible to open since there is no good way to grip it. Not sure how or why it broke off since it's not a piece that gets any real wear or tear.
Works great- a few times then dies.
February 18, 2014
Purchased the jewelry cleaner for a Christmas present. Worked great the first 4 or so times. Jewelry looked great. Then it just quit working. Contacted the manufacturing regarding warranty. They responded that it would be replaced or repaired; however by the time I pay for shipping charges it is hardly worth it. Very disappointed in quality- should not have to pay for return postage for manufacturer defect. It also makes me rethink the advantage of Amazon prime if I have to pay for returns for unsatisfactory items.
Doesn't seem to do anything
December 9, 2012
I've used this a bunch of times now (with a few drops of Dove dish soap as recommended in other reviews) and I don't think it actually does anything. I can hear it running, but when I take my jewelry or glasses out, they're not clean. I've cleaned rings, earrings, necklaces, glasses ... and while sometimes things come out looking slightly shinier, I don't think that's from the work of the machine, it's just from being soaked in water! Stuff never comes out totally clean. I have had better luck cleaning my jewelry with the Connoiseurs products, either the gel or the ammonia solution in the jar. Those combined with some manual scrubbing with a tiny brush make my jewelry far cleaner and sparklier than this machine. My glasses never come out clean either. I always end up having to do more manual work to get those lenses clean. I've read so many great reviews on this machine and I've tried it so many times (usually with at least 3 cycles in a row) but I don't see results.

Not effective. Does not polish.
September 18, 2017
You will only see a difference on a very dirty ring. We use this on platinum, gold, silver and copper (rose gold). It won't polish, but will only cleans out the dirt. If you add solution, then it works a lot better. With that being said, you can get the same result by use a microfiber and clean the jewelries with the solution. It's faster and it does not take much effort at all. I am keeping it, but wouldn't recommend it. It does not add value as it does not save you time or money.
Not for Me
January 29, 2017
I was excited by previous reviews, but when I received the item and tried it out, I saw that it really didn't do much of anything. I followed the directions carefully. It emitted the blue light and made some bubbling noises. I guess it cleaned off some dirt from my gold necklace, but forget anything silver. It does nothing for tarnish. I was very disappointed, and returned the item.
Why all the good reviews?? Disappointed in this
November 13, 2016
This does work well well for gold, which comes out nice and shiny. But lousy on silver. Even with several cleanings, all of the dirt around the lenses and nose piece was still there. I will get some solution. I did use dish soap but didn't seem to make a difference.
Disappointed.
September 3, 2016
Maybe I bought the one that doesn't work...it did not clean not one piece of jewelry I have. I don't know if it is too late to send back. I have been busy on some volunteer projects and really do not have time to return this right now. Disappointed.
Not good for an amateur
June 11, 2015
I'm not anywhere close to professional regarding jewelry, but this doesn't work as well as I had expected. The other reviewers seem to know more, so I assume that my use - it's just not made for removing tarnish from silver. I'm sure that it's safer on stones, and maybe metal in general than the fast chemical stones, but I wanted a quick fix, and this wasn't it. I tried adding detergent and even packs of that suggested additive to the water, but it really made no difference, the water wasn't even dirty.
Waste of money.
April 15, 2015
Not worth the money. I get my rings cleaner with plain old soap and water and a soft toothbrush. I put my mom's old wedding ring set in the ultrasonic cleaner and cleaned for two 3 minute cycles. Not much happened. Then I put the same rings in hot soapy water and all sorts of dirt came off. I wanted to return it but I had misplaced the part that holds watches.

This didn't do anything for me. I wear a lot of makeup, so my sunglasses are always caked with foundation (gross, I know). This didn't make any difference. It was as if I had just dipped them in a bowl of water and took them out.I then tried my sterling silver monogram necklace. Again, zero difference. After putting it in the cleaner, I took it out and it still had marks on it.I'm going to stick with soap and water and windex for my sunglasses and jewelry.
Disappointed
January 27, 2016
This did not clean my white gold and diamond wedding rings, nor did it clean my sterling silver jewelry. My rings do not look nearly as bright and shiny was when I have them professionally cleaned, and the dullness and tarnish on my sterling silver looks just as bad after cleaning as it did before. I followed the instructions and even purchased jewelry cleaning solution for this machine. It just doesn't work.
Stopped working after 1 month
September 7, 2015
Used the cleaner 4 or 5 times and then it quit working, and of course this occurred 3 days after the return/refund window closed. Worked fine the first few times, then once plugged in, the blue light was off and the on button did not initiate a cycle. It was used properly during every use and cleaned properly after every use. I'm not sure what went wrong.
Garbage

This is the most worthless piece of garbage that you could buy. It does not clean anything, regardless of how many times you run your jewelry through it and regardless of what detergent you put in it. I don't know why I thought I could get something effective on the cheap. Save your money on this and buy something else. If I could return it, I would, but I kept forgetting to open it and as a result I have passed the return date. Totally dissatisfied.

I tried to like this item but unfortunately it did not work for me. I had to run several cycles to get my jewelry clean. If any part of my jewelry was overlapping and not touching the base of the tray it would not get cleaned. I also found I had to clean it with a clean cloth anyway after removing my jewelry from the machine in order to get it clean so it almost felt like double the work.
Does absolutely nothing for silver.
April 10, 2017
Does absolutely nothing. I did several experiments using it on silver. Including using it with a cleaning solution. There was NO CHANGE between just the cleaning solution and the cleaning solution with this product. I can't speak to how it works for other items -- it's possible that it's great for something like cleaning your glasses, but I can't see why you wouldn't just use water/a cloth?Thankfully, I was able to get my money back.
Good until it breaks down within a few days

This was pretty good... if this lasted more than a few days.I got this last week and used it I think a total of 9 times before the soft buzzing noise became a loud buzzing noise which seems to have lost its ability to clean anything. I used to see vibration on the water surface but ever since it became a loud buzzing noise, nothing is happening to the water and seems like nothing is happening.
No good

I am suprised how much people raved about this item. It did absolutely nothing. I noticed a hum, a microscope movement in the water and that is it. I tried the appliance 4-5 times, just to make sure with the same result. Nothing was cleaned by this product.
Stopped working after 3rd use
September 22, 2016
Stopped working after 3rd use. Put item I was cleaning in, turned on, did it's thing for 60 seconds - repeated that 3 times - went to use it again, and does nothing - no led, no vibrate. Lasted 180 seconds total.
This is a waste of $30

This product did nothing. The jewelry was exactly the same when it came out, except wet. It made a little buzzing noise when I pressed 'on' but peering in, the water didn't even move. I tried adding soap as suggested. Nothing. This is a waste of $30. Do not buy it.
