Five Star Reviews: | 64% Perfect for a budgeting family! October 3, 2016 My older daughter has the apparent "Older" version of this same seat that I purchased in 2013. I bought this one, however, because we LOVED nearly everything it had to offer--security, safety, installation ease, etc.Issues we've had:Other than the replacement buckle, it's been great! No actual problems performance wise. However, there are some design issues that are different with this compared to the models my friends have, such as-must remove from vehicle to adjust the height of the straps-this version has a more hidden strap release button, making it a little less efficient but still just as usable-I feel like the padded insert is cheaply made compared to the older version-the little head pad thing is separate from the lower back-I can't decide if that's awesome or not yet.-after probably a half dozen washes over the last few years, the cover still doesn't fit over the seat like it should-- it never really fit well to begin with, but had to say something.Things I liked:-pretty straightforward directions on the the labels on how to properly install the seat-directions on appropriate LATCH uses-optional seat compensating feet on the base to accommodate more vehicle seat options.-TWO CUP HOLDERS (seriously, I didn't know this was going to be a huge deal to me, but it is.)-fairly easy to remove cover to wash.-Lastly, for the price? PERFECT when you have to budget.A+++ Great car seat September 20, 2016 My husband drives a 1999 Jetta and we wanted a second car seat for his car so we wouldn't have to move the car seat so much. This car seat had excellent reviews and was comparable to the car seat I have, which was an additional $60.00. It also fits in his back seat, in the middle, rear facing. If you want to have a second car seat, I don't think it would fit but it fits just fine by itself. My husband is 6 feet and he didn't have to adjust his seat at all when we installed this seat.This is not an easy seat to regularly move from car to car. Just don't. We looked at the easy to move seats and found that buying two of these seats was the same cost as buying one of the easy to transfer seats. And honestly, we didn't want to move them anyhow so it made purchasing this car seat as a secondary an easy decision. Great value August 18, 2016 Great price and very nice car seat! It was easy to install and the instruction manual is in English (separate Spanish booklet included) with REAL words and not just pictures. I love the fact that it will it is adaptable for rear or front facing and will last my grandchild through many years of growth. It is attractive and the fabric is good quality and durable. The cup holders are very convenient. Nicely engineered! Perfect Carseat for my Little Meatball. May 9, 2016 This is the second Graco My Ride 65 I have owned. I have six kids - and it's pretty much my "go to" car seat for infants! I used an infant bucket seat until my six month old outgrew that. I ordered this as something he can comfortably use for many, many months to come. It is such a breeze to install. It fits rather comfortably in my Dodge Grand Caravan behind the passenger seat rear facing. The latch system is VERY easy to use and the level color indicator makes it easy to know that it is level and safe. It's super light weight as well. That's a HUGE plus. I've had the Diono Radian before and that thing is a BEAST. This is so light weight but has really good safety ratings that I can drive in peace knowing my little Meatball is safe back there. And the color options are GREAT. Cupholders will come in handy once he's bigger. Love the padding insert as well - very easy to adjust and take away if needed. Adjusting the straps takes a little effort but not bad at all (adjusting straps meaning moving them up a notch). Overall - this was AMAZING and well worth every penny!!! kept my daughter safe March 30, 2016 My husband had someone turn out in front of him driving my daughter home from the sitters. He was doing 45 and barely had time to brake. The airbags deployed and our car did a 180. The other car got driven across two lanes of traffic and into a light pole. Both cars were totaled. The seatbelt stretched and my daughter's seat tilted way over but it held and the only marks on her were on her legs from the harness. She was perfectly fine. Very thankful for this seat. I love this car seat March 10, 2016 I love this car seat! My son has it and now my daughter has this one. The apple design is super cute and we love the two cup holders. We use one for snacks and one for a drink or toys. It's a perfect car seat for once they outgrow their infant seat because it is reversible and dies both rear facing and forward facing. It is a little wide and I read reviews saying that people can't fit it in the suburbans. It is not that big!!! I will admit I can not use it in my Mazda 3 but if I had a full size sedan it does fit because it fit just fine in my mother in laws Corolla. Four Star Reviews: | 21% I certainly recommend this if your car has enough room for this ... September 29, 2017 My family loves this car seat. It is quite large because it isn't adjustable (the straps adjust, but the height of the seat is fixed) but that is kind of a positive for me if you have the room for it. We have a more expensive Graco seat that you can slide the back up and down to adjust the straps and height, but my daughter likes this one more because she has way more room in the seat. The seats anchors are much easier to use, both tightening and loosening, than the other Graco and multiple other car seats we've seen. I certainly recommend this if your car has enough room for this big guy.The only negative I have found is that the head rest attaches via a loop on the bottom cushion. This means as your child gets taller it eventually doesn't reach and the pillow isn't attached to anything. This is a very minor issue. Good car seat for the price September 11, 2017 We needed an extra car seat for my mother's car when she has my son and didn't want to spend $400 on another car seat that he may only use a couple times a month. This was really affordable and my 15 month old seems comfy in it. I took away a star because the installation was a NIGHTMARE and very difficult. It is also pretty bulky rear facing so if you have a smaller car like a Corolla and are very tall, you may need a different car seat. We love them. Patterns are nice March 30, 2017 I've purchased 8 My Ride 65 carseats (2 kids, my car, my husbands car and a caregivers car... and 2 replacements due to an accident). We love them. Patterns are nice. They clean fairly well. My only complaint is the difficulty in installing and removing the seats. Sometimes I can't even push the button to loosen the latch strap to remove the seat, which is necessary to clean the padding when someone has an accident. I consider this a minor problem and obviously not enough to make me not like the seats! Great but the tightening system is a tiny bit annoying April 21, 2016 I absolutely love this seat, but the buckling system, though similar to our click-connect, is a bit more of a pain to do. When you pull the strap to tighten, it isn't as smooth and when we are getting in and out of the car multiple times in a row, it is kind of obnoxious. Otherwise, an excellent seat that keeps our child rear-facing up to 40 lbs. which you can't do with most seats. Amazing value and great seat! April 15, 2016 We purchased this seat ultimately as a seat for our second family vehicle. We missed the flexibility of the infant seat being movable between cars. The other seat we have is the Britax Advocate. I'll probably stick to the Britax for longer rides, and we plan to use this one for day to day daycare pick up etc. So far, though, this seat has worked extremely well. Many reviews compare it favorable to much more expensive seats. We have always been Graco fans and this seat is proving no different. We are happy it will keep our child facing backwards for so long, and the seat will grow with him. The only real drawback vis a vis the Britax is a slightly higher chemical content. Is this a big deal? Likely not. Great Value - Installation Questionable March 25, 2016 I bought this on an Amazon promotion and just installed it. It seems to be built pretty well but not near the quality of my $300 Chicco seat. However for 1/3 of the price you can't expect the same quality. My biggest issue is getting the seat tight enough. I have literally sat in the seat myself trying to push it down and tightening at the same time and I still can't get it to stop wobbling around. This car seat has been very comfortable for my daughter to grow into July 21, 2016 This car seat has been very comfortable for my daughter to grow into, but the car seat itself is very large and takes up a lot of space in the vehicle. I have a crossover Honda CR-V. The car seat will not rear-face without sliding the driver or passenger seat all the way forward. The car seat had to be placed in the center of the backseat for it to fit in our vehicle. I don't think this would be a good car seat for any vehicle smaller than mine. We decided to purchase another model for my husbands Ford Fusion because we didn't think this seat would fit in his car. Now that my daughter is forward facing we don't have a problem positioning it behind the passenger or drivers seat in our Honda CR-V.The car seat also tilts backwards slightly, which was great when our daughter was younger, but now that she's a toddler she struggles to see out the window. We loved this feature at first because my daughter didn't care to look out the window and it was more comfortable for her to doze off in this position, but now that she's older she prefers the car seats that sit more upright. Doesn't fit in Chevy truck. June 30, 2016 I have a 2012 Chevy Silverado 4 door and this seat does not fit behind the passenger seat. I'm only 5ft 3in and had my knees agAinst the dash in order for this seat to fit. It's very pretty but it could use some extra cushion on the bottom. I ordered this because I read the reviews of it saving other children's lives and felt that seat would be safe but unfortunately it doesn't fit in my truck :(. I will be sending it back. Like it, don't love it. February 16, 2016 We use this car seat rear facing for my 17lb 9 month old. He seems to really like it, I think it is a lot more comfortable for him than his infant seat was. I like that it fits well rear facing in my Dodge Avenger, but it is a bit on the bulky side. The only issue I have with the seat is that it is VERY hard to adjust the harness. I don't know why, but I have a much much harder time adjusting the harness on this seat than I did on his previous car seat. I liked to put him in the infant seat with the harness a bit loose and then tighten it to the correct tightness, but in order to adjust the harness in this seat, it has to be completely unbuckled and taken out of the car which is very inconvenient. Need to have it evaluated by Safety experts.cp While we typically love Graco seats April 25, 2016 While we typically love Graco seats, this particular seat is not our favorite. It tends to rock back and forth when you pull on it, even with the base of it being secured. We watched videos and read the instructions on how to install, yet we still don't really feel super comfortable with how much the top (head area) moves when pulled on. We have the Graco Forever carseat and I definitely prefer it over this model. Ultimately I purchased the Graco Size4Me65 which I'm very happy with so far March 24, 2016 Ultimately I purchased the Graco Size4Me65 which I'm very happy with so far. For very little difference in price you get the same safety testing requirements but 100% more comfort for your child.This car seat is too basic. It doesn't even come with shoulder cushions for your baby's neck. The straps will cut into their neck OUCH!! And there are no head/neck support inserts to keep babies head from slumping heavily to one side or the other. Sure you can use a rolled up towel or similar (like I tried) but that gets super annoying very quickly.Its awkwardly too big as well (even in my roomy Lexus 350). I would not recommend this car seat to anyone even if you're on a tight budget - I would suggest saving a little more money and getting one of the nicer Graco models. Good Luck! Poor instructions, difficult to work with. February 9, 2016 This seat is well made, but an absolute COMPLICATED NIGHTMARE to adjust for any child! The directions are poor and the little help stickers found on the seat are in 20 different languages and barely enough to assist in adjusting the seat. Really! Maybe the seat should come with a comprehensive video. MUCH too big - even for a small SUV. July 17, 2015 I ordered this to use for my son in my mothers Ford Escape. I should have done my research, and I would have seen that this isn't really a recommended seat because of its size. When I took it out of the box, my mother just laughed at me... if we installed this, and someone was in the seat in front of it, theyd probably have to sit on the dashboard, its so large! Although I didn't like this seat, Amazon gets an A+. Seat is great, but sent an old one March 5, 2017 The seat itself is great. No problems with it fitting in my 2009 Nissan Altima. Daughter is comfortable in it. However the car seat I was sent was produced over two years ago. Really really mad I was sent a car seat with a 6 year lifespan that had 1/3 of the life gone though. Ordered another one from Walmart in a different pattern for less (was only 67.50) and it was only 3 months old. Will never buy a car seat on Amazon again. Piece of JUNK June 11, 2016 Piece of junk. Do not waste your time or money! Absolutely huge. Once you remove infant padding, there's no cush. But most of all, the latch system is a complete joke. You can't pull it tight enough to secure the seat adequately. And every single member of my family tried (and we've all installed many car seats). Even at its tightest, the seat moved all over the place. Not to mention, adjusting the recline with "rolled towels" as the instructions suggest is an absolute joke.
