I have the water, oil and acrylics and these tubes are surprisingly good unless the cap is left off. Use a small container for paint mixing then use a cover on the container to keep it fresh between uses, you'll save a lot of paint that way. never let it dry on your brush bristles whatever you do but if it happens get a sponge with a scratchy side and soap and water and then use the brushes on the scratch your side to clean them, don't use too much pressure or else you'll wear your brushes down prematurely . For what I had planned I figured I would need three or four really good coats to cover the design that was on the canvas already, and it took two. The colors are bright and really pigmented and stayed that way when they were dried. I mixed a few of the colors to get to the shade I was looking for and this paint is really blendable. It was also really easy to clean up when I was done and I'm going to be honest and say I'm not the most organized person but I was able to get this out of my carpet after I dropped the brush, I just did that right away after it happened. Also note that acrylic in general if it is a bit thick can be easily thinned with a bit of water, so unless it is completely dried out, it should not be a problem. Colors are vibrant, mix well and lasted me for 3-4 medium size paintings (apart from the white color, you need a lot of it, so might as well buy a larger tube in addition to this tester set). I would not buy this set again since I paint more now, but it was very useful to me during my first steps in painting. It is only 6$, try it to see if you like painting or to use for small DIY projects - tubes are much better than bottles, which dry out quicker. They really seemed like a thicker craft paint more than anything. As cheap as these were, I know I can get a lot more craft paint than these had for the money.
