Five Star Reviews: | 73% Great stapler for the price June 6, 2016 Good stapler...only complaint is it can be noisy if you staple a lot. I like the air forced power of stapling without having to exert strength to staple...and the ease of inserting new staples which at first you have to get use to how staples are inserted because it is inserted differently than the old usual type of stapler. The premium ones are better than the cheaper ones because it is not made totally out of plastic and more durable.I do like ease in stapling 4" or so from the edge of the paper, too, as I staple paper bags a lot. PERFECTION IN STAPLING. A whole different level of stapler than what you're used to. May 10, 2016 I use those common commercial Swingline staplers at work. They usually work ok. But sometimes they jam. Or do something weird. When there are >10 pages, I look for a sturdy surface. Do I press? Or do I slam? Neither one works consistently. But THIS is a whole different level of stapler. No strength is necessary. It's like firing a gun. A small bore gun like a .22, not like a shotgun. You squeeze the trigger, and the staple is rocketed into the paper with no recoil. Amazing. My wife had one, and she got mad at me when I'd steal it. So I had to buy my own. Hers is some old 20-sheet one, but I went for the 28-sheet one. Only stapler you'll ever need October 14, 2015 I got this stapler after hearing my brother rave about his -- we were on a business trip in a new country and we were talking about his stapler, how could I not get one? -- and trying it myself when we got home. He has a plastic version, very light. I loved how easy on the hand it was to staple a decent amount of pages. So here I am, a graphic designer who rarely staples anything, reviewing my stapler, which happens to be, in theory, better than my brother's. I did staple 20 sheets together (not 25 yet) and it worked like a charm: didn't have to use both hands, didn't have to put all my weight on it... Actually, I did it with one finger, like I'm supposed to be able to and not once did it not work (I've had my fair share of practice already.) Be warned that the ends of the staple do stick out and can hurt you. I also started stapling some cardstock I had lying around (think the material of a paperback book cover) and was able to staple 13 pieces together.I find that it's somewhat on the heavy side, but it's definitely a stapler to keep on a desk, and, I assume, in order to staple 25 pieces of paper together with the use of one finger, the weight is probably necessary.Loading the staples is different than with most other staples (see photos): you open the stapler like you would any other, the spring mechanism jumps out and you insert the staples upside-down. You push the spring mechanism back in, close the stapler and you're ready to go.I definitely recommend this stapler (or another version of this one, depending on your needs) to everyone. I'm relatively young and healthy, but I know this stapler would be great(!!) for people with arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc. Most definitely worth it! Only wish I had more need for it (although I do use it, but maybe once or twice a day). BEST STAPLER, NO DOUBLT September 10, 2015 Staplers, staplers.... They are just staplers.... that's what I thought until I started to use this stapler. PaperPro makes the BEST Staplers out there. I love this stapler. It is very very effortless to staple. I know this sounds kind of weird, but it is so easy to staple paper with this stapler. Only thing that I wish were different is that this stapler makes the same sound when you are out of the staples. It's hard to explain, but any other staplers that I used in the past, once the stapler runs out of the staples, it makes different sound or you get the different feel (pressure) when you try to staple something. With this stapler, you could run out of the staples and you could just keep stapling without knowing your stapler doesn't have any more staples because it keeps making the same sound and the feel stays the same. I know it sounds odd, but it's true.... satisfyingly powerful July 8, 2015 I'm an exec admin so I professionally staple papers. :-) I've used the PaperPro staplers ever since I first got my hands on one about 5 years ago. The power you feel when you use one finger to staple a stack of papers and the loud "PACK" it makes when the staple goes through is extremely satisfying - for everyone! Everyone who uses my stapler (because people think an admin's desk is community property) remarks on the power of the stapler and then want their very own. This is the only stapler I use - even at home. The pedestal I had this stapler on was rocked a bit when I dropped my stapler on the (carpeted) floor and it landed on it's back end (the side opposite the stapling end); it popped something out which couldn't be fixed rendering my stapler useless. I had to use a regular boring staple for the 2 days it took my Amazon Prime shipped PaperPro stapler; those were some frustrating days; having to use my whole hand. I think I may have even suffered a staple jam during those days - something I never get with my PaperPro. I actually understand Milton's love of his red Swingline stapler...because...if they take my stapler I'll set the building on fire. Great Stapler, lives up to its specs November 25, 2014 So the first thing my friends and I did when I got this was to test if the one-finger 25 sheets claim was true. All I can say is that it easily staples 25 sheets with the press of one finger. It does take some effort to use one finger to staple 25 sheets, but nothing unreasonable. My friends always ask if they can use my "fancy stapler" to staple their homework together. This is a hefty stapler, so it's not super portable. It's also bigger than the traditional desk stapler, although it is still a reasonable size. It has a rubber material on the bottom to help prevent it from sliding around, which is a nice feature. It has a safety mechanism that prevents you from being able to shoot staples at people, although you can get around it by depressing the mechanism.Another nice feature is that it uses regular staples, so you don't need to buy fancy heavy-duty staples for it.I recommend this to anyone who wants something that can staple a decent number of papers together with little effort. | 78% Like all Other Swinglines! October 16, 2017 Arrived early. Works just like all other Swingline Staplwrs, but in a very convenient size.Definitely needed it if for nothing else than to staple the kiddos papers together that he needs to return to the school.Swinglines are one of the very best names & products in staplers.Staplers are one of those things you definitely need at home all the time IF you don’t have one! We will probably never need it again until we lose it! Lol!!Well on that note - we absolutely DO recommend this stapler!&Hope our review is helpful to you! Have you seen......my stapler? February 17, 2017 It was excellent getting all 3 in one package. I was setting up my new home office and needed everything so I was glad to run across this package deal. All the items are good quality. It's 2 years later and I'm still using everything, including the staples, there's a bunch of them. Go on, staple some stuff :) Very nice kit! Swingline always delivers! October 28, 2016 Nice kit. The stapler is light weight but staples through bubble envelopes with ease. The staple remover, though not my preferred style (I like the kind that slips under the staple, less paper ripping, so I ordered one separately) worked well and the staples seem lighter weight than ones I've had (the box is lighter than full boxes I already have) but I don't see a difference when using them or removing them. Swingline is a well respected office supply company and I've used their staplers since the 1970s. Secure and assemble the paperwork October 13, 2016 These products are absolutely necessary for administrative affairs like assembly and securing of documents, reports and correspondence. I feel there is no need to qualify the Swingline trade mark. It is an internationally known trademark that has proven itself for many years. I have been familiar with this name for over 50 years and thier products are the best in my estimation. Good value for a full strip stapler August 1, 2015 I needed a stapler at my home to keep my bills together in groups. This Swingline fit the bill. It's the same type I have at the office: lightweight, basic and durable. It fits a full strip staples, which was important to me (I don't like those cheap mini staplers). Additionally, I love that it came with the staple remover. I can now save my fingernails by using a proper device to remove them. One thing to note: This stapler is stationary; it does not open flat, so you can't staple bulletin boards with it. It is strictly for paperwork. So if you don't need it for that purpose, this product is a good value and worth the purchase. |
Four Star Reviews: | 9% Make sure Punchase right staples April 30, 2017 I have three models of this brand of stapler. Really like the way they work. Down side is they all use different staples. Decent Stapler but look for reliability could be bettert August 22, 2016 I have bought 3 of these over the past 4 months. The first one died for no apparent reason about about 4 months. Two are still working fine and, apparently, someone else really liked the 4th one because they stole it. Some thieves have low standards but this one is worth stealing! I give it 4 stars since one quit working after just a few months. Staples great, doesn't feel as superior as older versions by PaperPro February 29, 2016 My last PaperPro stapler stopped working after close to 10 years of service. I was always impressed by the power and reliability, but even more so by the quality of construction. For some reason I can't quite define, this new model feels inferior. Still staples well, but has a cheaper feel to it. Hopefully it'll last atleast half as long as the original Deceptively easy, but can't open-staple to a bulletin board November 25, 2015 After using regular staplers all this time, it's hard to get used to the light touch required to use this one. That said, it's a great paper stapler, though I still have to resort to a traditional stapler that opens up to staple to a bulletin board. its good. not a 5 stars because i have to ... October 13, 2015 its good. not a 5 stars because i have to let it go up all the way after one use for it to work again, which causes some delay. but that's just me. I like to work fast especially when stapling packets of paper at a certain pace. Works Good August 22, 2015 This is a terrific stapler and it's so nice to have a stapler that doesn't jamb and goes through more than just a few sheets of paper. Takes very little hand pressure to use and except for the rather loud noise it makes when stapling, does a good job! | 15% it staples had it for couple years now just don't ... June 21, 2017 it stapleshad it for couple years nowjust don't throw it against the wall or expect it compete in crossfitit's just a stapler excellent stapler, good quality January 8, 2017 I use this one at work, and wanted it for home. excellent stapler, good quality. The only thing it doesn't do is allow you to switch the staple function to bend the prongs out. Great for Home Office October 3, 2016 This is a great set for a home office. If you do a lot of heavy duty stapling I would purchase a metal stapler not this one, but if you just need it for a home office it is a great fit. I'm an adult now. It's time. September 28, 2016 Great stapler for a great price. Why did I wait decades to finally be a grown up and get a real stapler? I've been living of the tiny school bag sized ones since college (with the blue staplers). Happy I finally got an office "staple." Good stapler January 9, 2016 It staples. It's a little bit lighter then my office stapler...I don't know if that's a feature out a sign of cheapness. I bought this for my home cooling system. I need a stapler about once every other month and probably about 30 times during tax season. So seeing how it comes with 5000 staples and I estimate I'll be using 36 a year I expect this should last me 138 years. It works just fine, I think it is a better stapler than ... August 24, 2015 It works just fine, I think it is a better stapler than the other ones we have. It stapled my papers without a hesitation or slip. Hope no one here finds out about it or I won't see it again. The only thing better would be an expensive electric one used in offices. |
Three Star Reviews: | 6% Need to use PaperPro staples with these August 18, 2017 I bought 2 of these and both would not staple anything, that was greatly disappointing and was going to return the item, but decided to give it one more chance and buy PaperPro staples. That solved the problem and I now like it. It's a great stapler, I give it 3-star because I had to buy proprietary staples for it to work properly. I like the stapler March 29, 2017 I like the stapler, but a few times it just doesn't want to staple for some reason. Other than that it has worked fine. My only other complaint is that it's not very stable when standing on end. It falls over easily if bumped on my desk. Broke easily but it worked well April 25, 2016 Broke easily. I enjoyed the stapler as you didn't need to force it as hard when stapling. If it didn't break easily I would def give it 5 stars. Beware coloring. March 10, 2016 Beware Coloring if you get the red. The picture shows a highly metallic glossy paint. Instead the paint on the received unit has a far "cheaper" looking paint job. The coloring is dull and flat like something out of the 60's injection molding factory. Had I known that the paint would be so dull, I would have ordered the black. Lightweight feel for the price September 22, 2015 I'm used to the One-Touch, which they drastically modified. This one doesn't feel as substantial as the aforementioned stapler. I can't imagine it going through 25 sheets of paper, and I won't be trying it out to see. Not What is Shown... April 30, 2015 The Picture is not actually the stapler I received. I wanted the one in the picture because that's the one I had previously owned. The one I received works just as well, but it's heavier than the one in the picture that I wanted. This should be advertising exactly what they are selling, which they are not. But any Paper Pro stapler is still a good quality product. I've attached a picture of the stapler I received. | 2% Light duty use. January 15, 2017 Good enough for small stapling tasks. Plastic is very light weight and not heavy duty but, that's to be expected for a $6 kit. Does what I need it to do and i will probably buy another for light office use. If you have large amounts to staple this is not for you. It's just a piece of plastic. I have the ... October 19, 2016 It's just a piece of plastic. I have the same brand stapler just smaller that I bought 20 years ago and it is heavier and made of metal. |
Two Star Reviews: | 3% Going back to good old fashioned heavy duty Swinglines February 17, 2016 I am generously giving this two stars because while it worked, it worked well. However, this lasted less than 3 months before it stopped working. The use it was getting was very very light. Going back to good old fashioned heavy duty Swinglines. Too powerful November 5, 2015 Although this makes 25+ page jobs easy, if you have less than 5 sheets the staple will just crumple from sheer force. Actual stapler is an older model August 20, 2015 Received an older model stapler. It is not the actual model that is in listing. Very disappointed Great 1st experience, poor second experience. March 16, 2015 Disappointed with my recent purchase. I have had a PaperPro stapler in the past and after a few years of use, it was time to replace. I decided to get the same thing and my new one is acting up after 4-5 months of use. I know I am a heavy user, but the quality of this stapler is far less than the first one. Its too far past Amazon's return time-frame, but I hope the vendor will read the comment and want to correct the situation. A deviation from the norm? December 24, 2014 Purchased another, just like this one, for my office in town, over a year before I purchased this one via Amazon for my home office. The older one still works fine, but the one through Amazon is quirky, sometimes not wanting to thrust a staple through only 2 pieces of paper, even though the lever is fully down. It seems to work more consistently, if I take the staples out every couple of weeks, reinsert the same staples, and click the sliding mechanism back into place. | 1% Missing items. February 8, 2017 Only came with the stapler. The remover and staples were not included in the package. looks good online...not so much when you get it! December 16, 2016 I thought it was going to be heavier and was disappointed that it was plastic. Flimsy, and won't last. Not the original Swingline. April 18, 2016 This a cheap, flimsy stapler that will not hold up to regular use. For the same price at Costco you can get a similar package except it contains the original, well made version of the stapler. |
One Star Reviews: | 9% I go through a lot of staples at my job and thought maybe the first one was defective or something but it's just a bad stapler. Looks good and professional September 27, 2017 This is my second one of these and both of them jammed up all the time. I go through a lot of staples at my job and thought maybe the first one was defective or something but it's just a bad stapler. Looks good and professional, but I don't have time to open up a stapler all day and take staples out of the end where they jam up loveD it, but... July 31, 2017 I absolutely loveD this stapler...until it decided to stop working after 3 months for no apparent reason. Defective. February 26, 2016 When I took it out of the box, it was so beat up , in fact, it was in worst condition than my previous EVO paperpro. When I tried to use it, it was very hard to staple. Not so easy ro operate February 12, 2016 The action on this was very stiff. I would have returned it but a co-worker with an older one was willing to swap with me. Disappointed December 7, 2015 Very disappointed. It jammed & can't be unjammed. Haven't had it for long. Hole punch anyone August 24, 2015 Punches right through when you have less than 10 sheets of paper. Pissed I spent the money on a "nice" stapler. | 4% Did not work long at all, cheap and a hassle to deal with staple wise October 6, 2017 I wish I could write a good review but it broke after only a few uses. I mean like maybe used 20 times and then it was jam after jam after jam. I threw it away. Price is low enough to not ask for a refund but still, I just wanted a stapler that works and this one did not get the job done. It's very light and cheap feeling and it did not work very well at all. You get what you pay for February 2, 2017 This stapler permanently jammed in its first week of use.. Upon finishing the very first set of staples, the pusher somehow impacted the hammer, bending it out of shape and not allowing the stapler to staple any more. This was in a home office setting, so the stapler did not have to deal with any abuse or heavy volume. The construction of the stapler feels very light and cheap, probably why this happened in the first place. A shame, because I used to think of Swingline as a quality brand name. Might be good for 3-4 pages September 27, 2016 Jammed and then broke first time used with 10 pages. Might be good for 3-4 pages. One Star August 10, 2016 Didn't wok from the first time I tried. Staples keep getting stuck in stapler Broke after a few uses June 14, 2016 This stapler broke after a few uses. I was very disappointed. I will not be repurchasing. I have already bought another stapler that is far more superior and has worked flawlessly. I do not recommend this product. |
