Stay Dry and Smelling Sweet with Silica Gel Wireless Mini dehumidifier
September 24, 2016
This product is being test right now. So far I have a dry signal from the device in the closet. I hope it works. will keep you posted
Useful product to remove musty smells and excess humidity.
February 26, 2016
This is a great little product. We often have musty odors in our walk-in closet that is directly across from our shower. I have always used the crystals in a plastic container that you throw away when the water level reaches the line. This product is much better. While you are using it, it requires no electric connection, so you don't need a plug inside the closet or an extension cord. When the little window in the middle shows pink crystals, then you plug it in with the separate cord until they turn blue again. I noticed the difference in our closet after one day. My closet is large, and is about the maximum recommended size for using one unit. I am considering purchasing a second unit so I won't need to plug it in as often (every few days). The plug outlet is on the bottom, so I just hang it near the power strip by my computer until it is ready to go back in the closet (just a few hours). the supplied metal hanger hooks into a hole on the back of the unit to allow it to be hung up. It can be hung on your closet rod, or I hang it on my metal shoe rack inside the closet.
Works as advertised
November 11, 2015
I have successfully used this in my wife's old, damp SUV for one full charge/discharge cycle. It made a noticeable difference in the moisture level in side the vehicle. I can't say how long exactly it took to saturate the crystals, but they were very pink after 1 week.Recharging back to blue crystals took the advertised 12 hours. The device reached about 131 degrees during the process, which is pretty warm, almost hot to the touch but was not a problem.I will most likely purchase a second for our other vehicle. Keeps the fog from forming on the inside of the windshield.

I bought these to keep in my standard mid size gun safe and it works great. With two it allows me to put one on the top shelf and bottom shelf simultaneously. When one gets wet it allows me to take one out to dry while there is still one active. I will buy more
Great Product! Fixed My WIC Problem!
May 4, 2015
I recently moved into an apartment, and, to my dismay, there was extensive water damage in my WIC (it would literally soak your socks through the thick carpet) and in the bedroom, and it only worsened when thunderstorms flooded the area. While the bedroom was successfully dried, the WIC remained a problem for weeks, and felt like a box of hot, moist air with an unwelcoming, moldy smell. The company responsible for taking care of the issue had promised to deliver a dehumidifier, but never held their word. I was at my wit's end by nearly the end of the month when I found these online. I even splurged on one-day shipping, because I had had enough. I was beyond relieved and ecstatic when I left one in my WIC overnight. I came in the next morning to drier air, and less mildew stench. I added the second one, and was finally able to unpack my boxes with clothing, and store items. I have not had a problem ever since. I love these and am considering buying more for the bathroom and the cabinet beneath the kitchen sink. I highly recommend these!!!

Best De-humidifier IMO!
January 20, 2017
This thing is a beast! It's like those silica gel packs on steroids.Forget recharging your dessicants in the oven, nope just plug this bad boy in! That is the only problem though, it has the plus sideways so it works best when plugged into an outlet that is sideways. Luckily I have 1 but I don't think everyone does. Though I wouldn't let that put you off. I am sure you could get it to stay in a horizontal outlet aka a normal one. The charge is about 10 hours but a little less or more isn't going to hurt anything or anyone.I use this in a safe & another in my closet. The one in the closet collects moisture much faster than the one in the safe. I do have some liquid in my closet though... don't ask! (;Pros:-Rechargeable-Good quality-Trusthworthy brand-Safe friendly-No oven needed-No harmful chemicalsCons:-Plugs in best to a vertical outlet-Can potentially leak the lil balls that suck up moisture

December 21, 2016
I got this for my guitar room and it does a great job keeping the humidity 40-50% in a room about 10x10. I have to charge it quite often in the summertime ( I live in NorCal) but I think if I added a 2nd one I would not have to charge as often. Charging is a breeze and sometimes I just leave it plugged in. Great little product for the $
Works Great
December 19, 2016
This is a simple passive solution to keeping my valuables dry and safe from moisture damage. Once a month, I pull the Eva-dry and plug into an outlet for 24 hours then toss it back in your safe, closet, whatever (I know it says it recharges in 8-10 hours, but that only partially recharges it). You know it's working when the enclosed area is void of mildew odors with no signs of rust on metals.
Great for keeping my small safe dry and mildew free.
August 29, 2016
Great for keeping my small safe dry and mildew free.I live in a humid area of California and have had issues with mildew inside my small safe before. I've used other products that tend to fill with liquid and are a pain to dump. With this I check the color of the beads once a month and when it needs it, I plug it in for an evening and it is ready to work for another couple months.I like this so much I am looking at buying a couple more to put in some closets to get rid of the other systems that require liquid dumping and a kitty litter like replacement.
FANTASTIC product for the money!!!
July 14, 2014
The little box has kept my bathroom dry for over a month now. We have an old house with only one, very small bathroom. There are 6 people in my family and the bathroom gets a lot of use. When my boys and teenage daughter would get a hot shower the entire bathroom would steam up to bad the walls would drip within a few minutes. We have a ceiling fan/light but it just wasn't enough. I wanted a dehumidifier that was compact since we don't have any extra room in our bathroom but we needed something powerful enough to do the job. This little box is both!!! It has worked great! The colors on the front panel are easy to read when it needs to be "aired out". I simply took it outside where there is an outside outlet and plugged it in for a few hours, good as new! I would highly recommend this for small, damp spaces. Right now I have it hanging out our curtain rod from a hook that's included. There are small spaces where the dehumidifier is screwed together and I might tap some small nails into the side of my bathroom storage unit and try to hang it up. GREAT product for the money!!!
I wish I'd known this existed a couple years ago
August 4, 2013
A couple years ago we bought a waterproof/fireproof safe by Sentry. In order to make it waterproof they use some sort of water based insulation, I'm not sure if this is unique to Sentry or an industry practice. What happens in our safe is that everything is soggy and even my passport became warped and had some mold on the outside. I kept throwing in those silica packets that came with clothing and other items we purchased and they did not effect the moisture level inside the safe. I came across this and really didn't think I had anything to lose by trying it, the price was definitely right. When I received it, the crystals were already blue. I charged it right away and put it in the safe the next day. It's been a little more than 1 month and I have not yet seen the crystals turn pink. Everything inside the safe is nice and dry, all the paperwork feels a lot more crisp. I won't call the people who can't discern the color an blind like another reviewer. I can imagine some units may not work or people may have trouble seeing inside just like any product you buy nowadays. For me, the blue is a very dark blue. As I haven't seen the pink yet, I cannot comment on that. Although mine seems to have lasted longer than the advertised time, my papers and such are still very dry so I believe it is still working. If your item is defective, I would definitely get a replacement since I find this product to be a life saver (or a safe saver as it is, har har). Hope this helps.Edit 10/2/2013: I came back to post a picture of the pink color beads. I glanced at other reviews trying to find mine, and I'm shaking my head that people think this is for a vehicle or will take the place of an exhaust fan in your bathroom. This is a passive device, despite having a plug. It's strength is really for small places that you open and find mold or for preserving items. Anyway, still going strong here. I'll post a picture of the beads.

The attachable coat hanger is a great feature.
February 18, 2017
Since I have a damp house (built into a hill), I have these scattered about in closets to help control the moisture level. They turn pink for me in about a week or 2 (I routinely measure 60-70%, even in winter), and take a full 24 hours if not more to discharge and return to deep blue in a bathroom with a dehumidifier keeping the room at 40%. Overall, it doesn't seem to operate as well as some other models I have, but they do pull out some moisture. The attachable coat hanger is a great feature.
So far so good.
December 27, 2016
So far so good. I like that it heats up via a cord. This allows it to rest on the ground completely (and it is a bit heavy to hang). So far it hasn't leaked any of the balls. I use it too keep my keggerator dry and free from any mold.I had a different older model from Ivation. It plugged directly into the wall. The problem was, that product was heavy and it was prone to fall down. It also had a hatch where the balls were loaded. When warmed (during drying phase) the hatch would loosen. So loose hole and prone to fall equals a huge mess of little balls.
Do what they are supposed to do.
June 28, 2016
These work well and are easy to recharge. The only reason I am not giving them five stars is because the window to the material is kind of dark and makes it difficult to see if the medium has changed colors. I have no other complaints. They work well, and were considerably less expensive than the big box retailers. The product arrived on time and in great condition. I would definitely order from the seller again.
Works for small spaces!
December 8, 2015
I have to echo other reviews that point out that you can only charge one at a time - which is only slightly inconvenient - but the cable plugs into the very center at the bottom of the product which MUST be kept upright to dry! I found that placing it where it can overhang an edge works, as long as you can balance it so it won't fall off. I use two for a damp walking storage closet in my basement. They don't last a month. I try to dry each one every two weeks on rotation.
Good value
September 29, 2015
My order was received in a timely manner. I assumed that each unit would have its own cord, but only one cord comes in the box. I'm finding that it takes longer than recommended time to dry the crystals out, but they are still working fine. I am also not getting the 30 days on them before recharging-about a week. But they are in my camper that we live in full time and it has been very humid. Overall they are a good product so far and I like the value!
Great for the price
July 16, 2015
They work and they're cheap. I only have a couple small issues with them. This only includes one charging cable so you can't run both at the same time. Luckily I had an old laptop cable that plugged right in without any issue. The other serious issue is in my honest opinion a safety issue and I'm surprised this hasn't been recalled. Where the cable plugs in the metal prongs get very very hot and you can burn yourself. So keep away from children and I would also keep an eye on it when it is charging.Other than those two issues I keep one in my car and the other in my camera storage case to prevent mold growth and they seem to be working as expected.

Improved display, but hanging hook is plastic
November 5, 2017
This was purchased for my Dad's safe, and worked well. I had purchased an earlier version for myself and have been quite happy with its performance in my safe. The improved moisture display was appreciated. Disappointed with the "new and improved" hook for hanging it in the safe. The older model uses a metal hook; the "new and improved" version is cheap plastic. Guess when this one breaks (and it will), I will have to fashion a new hook - guarantee that one will be of metal!
Don't cheap out, but if you do, this is the one you want.
October 20, 2017
Not sure how much it actually did because the closet I placed it in still felt damp, but that's my fault because the closet is inside the bathroom. It lasts about 3 days before it needs a charge, which isn't bad!Probably best to spend the extra money on a proper dehumidifier, especially if you have a walk in closet in the bathroom and you want to protect your clothes.
So far so good
July 12, 2017
Not a ton to say about this. You open the unit, remove the plastic wrap and set it into the safe. It's been about a week with slight color change noted in the window. I have to guess I've got a ot a week and a half or so before a recharge will be needed. Living in the south I may grab an additional unit to help with humidity but we'll see how long this unit goes between charges.
This works great to keep the pantry from a stench
March 15, 2017
I live in major humidity. This works great to keep the pantry from a stench. Works just as well as those disposable ones but no mess. I read others complain of it releasing the moisture back into the air. Just plug it in outside use an extension cord. I give it a 4 star because it only stays dry a little less than a week before needing to be replugged when the disposable ones last way longer.
okay for small spaces but takes longer to absorb moisture
March 1, 2017
It's a slow way to absorb moisture out of a smaller space (bookcase, cupboards, closets or in areas between furniture and a moldy exterior wall) but it works. The beads are packed neatly inside the plastic casing and I dry out the beads downstairs in the garage AC outlet. Usually takes about 10-12 hours before the beads in the clear window turn back to a light orange color. $15 is the best price I've found for the Eva-dry 333.
Clever and handy little gadget!
August 29, 2016
This tiny little powerhouse works great for small areas where a monster sized dehumidifier wouldn't be practical. It uses little beads to absorb moisture ( about a cup full I believe ) and the indicator on the front changes color to show when it is full. A clever tucked in plug folds out from the back and you can plug it into an outlet where it is then able to dry back out enabling you to use it again and again. It also comes with a hook that attaches if you want to hang it in a closet or something. Great price, neat product.

Not worth it
July 4, 2017
I've had these for about 8 months now. No way do they last 2 months before needing to be recharged. I am now noticing that very tiny particles ( probably silica dust from disintegration of the granules ) are leaking from the unit. I would not buy again.
Beads don't change color
December 12, 2016
I think it's working, but the beads don't turn blue again to tell you if they're dried out or not.
only one wire to charge 2
September 28, 2016
only one wire to charge so you can't charge both at once. Had I known I would have purchased one at a time. I think Eva dry lasts longer. They are okay. Customer service is unsatisfying. They responded without much desire to help. Don't buy from them unless you are sure because they don't help if you don't like something.

July 25, 2016
It takes a long time to charge the units. The instructions say to charge it in the garage or open spaces. It was too humid in the garage to charge so we had to do it in the kitchen. The unit gets quite hot when charging. I do not know yet how long it will stay charged. The instructions say 20-30 days but that will have to be seen. Currently we use DampRid which are about $2 each and last about 1 month in the summer.
Smaller capacity than listed
January 29, 2016
I use this for my small unheated storage unit. It seems to work but even though my storage closet is small, I'd recommend purchasing two of these. My one 500 sq ft dehumidifier seems to fill up and turn color within just a week or so - thus increasing my trips to the storage unit to take it out and recharge at home. Plus I also have a few of the DampRid cups placed in various locations around the unit.
Only one power adapter for 2 units!
September 19, 2015
Nice product, I love these to store in sealed boxes, safes, file cabinets, etc. to keep things dry. Only drawback is, to "recharge" them you need to use an adapter (you can't just plug it in) AND only one adapter comes with the two cartridges. So you can't recharge both at once, and don't lose the adapter!

I prefer clay desiccant bags. Those will reduce humidity more. Perhaps this desiccant last long between recharges?
June 20, 2017
Updating after 4 months use: Not as bad as I thought. Works OK in my small safe, but humidity doesn't go below 30%. It does stay there for a long time, which is good. Clay desiccant bags will lower humidity to 10%-20%. This desiccant is OK and does work and perhaps lasts longer between recharges.Had I know then what I know now, I probably would not have ordered these. My earlier review is below this line. In hindsight, I was too harsh with that earlier posting.---------------------Not functioning well at all! I bought two of these for a small safe (Verifi Smart.Safe) also purchased on amazon. The safe is great, while the desiccants are not removing moisture well.I put one of these in the safe and expected that my moisture test card would should 10%-20% moisture quickly. Didn't happen. After a week, I thought I'd try both of these "magic desiccant boxes" in the safe. Little change. The color of the beads is unchanged, and the moisture level is only slightly changed.I also have some 1-pound CLAY desiccant bags. Any one of those works better than two of these. Not worth the money, in my opinion. Might make great paperweights.
Probably a great product for keeping moisture down. Recharge feature is pretty awesome.
November 22, 2016
I'm sure it does a good job where intended. I tried to use it in my kegerator to keep moisture down, but the cold temperatures seem to render it ineffective for that application.
Great for gun safes, not for cars
April 12, 2016
It would work well for a box, like a gun safe, but not so much for the car. We were hoping it would help our car stay less humid, we live in Florida and the AC went out in the van. If all the windows are up and the doors and windows never open I am sure it would have worked perfectly. It lasted 2 weeks in the van before the beads were all pink. It did charge quickly when we needed to charge it. We ended up giving it to my Dad to use for his gun safe. He says it works great there.
I would say this would work best in something the size of a hope chest, but don't forget to keep checking on it.
August 13, 2015
If you have a humidity problem, this dehumidifier is not large enough for closet sized areas. It said something about hang it in a closet, and even comes with a hook to go over a hanger rod. By the terms "wireless" and "renewable", what it means is that it is a container of something like a desiccant that can be dried periodically out by means of a built in heater that you plug in for about 24 hours every 30 days. Then you unplug it and hang it in the closet again. It can be easily forgotten and not renewed rendering it non-functional for that period. I will be replacing mine with a dehumidifier that stays plugged in full time. I use mine in a gun cabinet and even a space that small had it needing to be renewed in 30 days. I cannot afford for it to fail if I should forget to recharge.
Don't drop this unit otherwise you'll be busy for a while!
April 16, 2015
I purchsed this unit to clear up some of the mositure issues that I have in my bathroom. It was actually working fairly well to just here recently. I recharged the unit and hung it on the shower rod for the overnight hrs. Well needs to say it slim off the little hook that came with the unit and little balls inside of this thing went EVERYWHERE. And apparently when they hit water they explode and go flying everywhere. I spent like an hour picking this things up and vaccum them up. They really need a better cap designed, but it just flew right off when it landed. Wonder if you can get some more of the little balls, so that I could at least fill my unit back up??
Eva-dry mini dehumidifier
March 24, 2014
Maybe I should have gotten the larger models. It seems that I have to refresh them almost once every two weeks. I have a 24 gun safe. Not sure the cubic dimensions. Maybe it is moisture from oils after lubricating my weapons. I am not sure. But they definitely turn color. I am waiting on a hygrometer to measure the humidity that exists inside the safe. I live in a humid environment during the summer months. I have my safe in a cool basement that is not included in my central A/C unit. And I an recently talking about having to refresh these during the winter months. I have also purchased other moisture absorbing products to assist and control moisture. I do not see any problems with rusting and it helps to keep all ammo as dry as possible. I keep metal ammo cans inside safe with as much ammo as i can fit.

Not as good as I'd hoped
August 16, 2016
I bought this for a small laundry room with no AC. I haven't noticed any specific difference yet, but it's still summer and very humid. It does get *very* hot when recharging/drying out, enough so that I'm not comfortable leaving it plugged in when I'm not at home.Update later: I've basically given up on these. They last about a day before needing to be recharged, and with the overheating issue it's difficult to keep swapping them.
I prefer the disposable ones
May 17, 2016
Crystals stay pink after first use and re-charge. Only works for a very small area like a small closet or possibly a small car. I like that it is rechargeable/reusable but be careful to not leave it charging too long or it will be ruined. (gets extremely hot).

January 17, 2016
The product arrived with the crystals light pink. There were a few (3-5) blue crystals in the window, so i thought I'd use until all crystals turned pink. After about a week, the crystal color was the same as when it arrived. Most should have turned color since we had constant rainy weather and my other desiccants were consumed. After a few hours of having the product plugged in for drying, water collected on the window. About 12 hours later, the water disappeared. However, the crystals were still pink. After 15 hours of drying, they were still pink and a few (about 5) were opaque white. I can't tell if they're dry or wet because the label says they should be blue if they are dry, but the warning says to plug it in for no more than 15 hours.
Poor performance
June 17, 2015
These may seem like they work but they don't . If you have a good imagination they are great but when you pull out the meters an do an actual test these are really poor. In an actual test these are capable of absorbing 1 table spoon of water and that takes many days.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGnWtuV5PCE
Recharging it is annoying. min 8 hours, but no more than 15!
March 24, 2015
Recharging this thing is annoying. Having one more think to plug in and keep track of is not as convenient as the toss it in the microwave type rechargeable dehydrators. I would recommend one of the bag style units so you can just use it, zap it, use it again, instead of use, plug it in for a minimum of 8 but more more than 15 hours, but NOT for too long! and then use it again. I left mine on over night, forgot about it, went to work, and now i think it is busted. Something this simple should not require mental maintenance.
Not the best product. I hope they work better than damp-rid
February 4, 2015
I bought 6 of them and this review is based on the same e/periences I had with all six. Did not come charged up. They don't recharge in the maximum time that you are suppose to have them plugged in, so you have to unplug them for a few hours then plug them in again or they get too hot. Once they turn blue you can put them in place but they have to be plugged back in in a couple of days. Not the best product. I hope they work better than damp-rid, only time will tell.

Did Not Work As Effectively As I Thought It Would
August 25, 2017
I don't think this works as effectively as others have portrayed. I have seen the videos of people putting this in a safe or a closet and then coming back to show a reduction in humidity with a meter. I have tried it and it did not do anything. There's always the possibility that I got a dud but in my experience this did nothing. You are probably better off buying a mini powered dehumidifier.
Beads don't change color
September 2, 2016
The beads aren't changing color as shown. Also photos of the item I received don't appear to match the item shown on the homepage. I've had the unit plugged in for the recommended 10-12 hours but beads are still showing multiple colors.
Moisture indication could be clearer
December 18, 2015
This is an odd one for me. I keep one of these in my safe and I've had no problems with humidity. The trouble is I can't begin to match up the visible crystals with the color scale on the front. To my eyes the crystals always look a shade of boring beige. If I had to go by the color I wouldn't have any idea where things stood with regard to moisture. As it is I just go through the drying process about once a month and let it go at that. Also, it does get hot enough when plugged in that I wouldn't want to leave it unattended for, say, an 8 hour day at work.
Simple and not so sure it's effective!
July 24, 2015
This renewable mini dehumidifier is simple, cheap and effective. I purchased these to sit in a closet and soap drying drawer and they have proved to be very effective here in the tropics. They are simple to use- when the indicator turns completely pink just plug it in an outside socket to release the collected moisture and then return to area you wish to keep dry.Update:After using this for one month- the colors originally changed but after a couple of weeks quit, even after plugging in and supposedly releasing moisture. The cabinet does not seem to be getting any dryer!
find something else
June 12, 2015
I bought one of these and a like one from another maker and placed them in a 10 gun wooden cabinet. I have hydrometers inside and I cannot see that there is any difference between the outside of the cabinet and the inside. I was expecting somewhat of a drop in the relative humidity within such an enclosed space. They do absorb some moisture because I have had to refresh them but obviously not enough to be worth the expense.
Waited too long for results, never got them, missed the return period
September 5, 2013
I have a very small studio apt and thought this would be a good way to keep the moisture down. It took about 2 weeks for the little beads to go from blue (dry) to pink (wet) and when I plugged it in to discharge, it gets hot like it says, but takes almost a full 24 hours to competently dry up. And even then, it doesn't get fully dry like it was new, its just gets somewhat dry. After putting it back, it turned pink again within a few days. And then another full day to discharge it. It seems like the more I use it (only a few times) the less it holds, like its worn out or something. I kinda gave up using this thing, I spend more time plugging it near the window to discharge, its not worth all the effort and electricity for the little benefit it provided. Maybe it would be good for a very small space like a tight closet, but not anything larger.

Disappointing, instruction state renewal of silica takes a day ...
January 12, 2017
Disappointing, instruction state renewal of silica takes a day, 15hrs of continuous plug in. Took 4 days of 4 - 15 hr sessions to barely start changing from pink to blue. Once in closet, small 4x1ft, no noticeable drop in humidity. I have a humidity scale and no change was detected in 5 days of use. Stayed constant at 55% I was hoping to drop to 45% at least maybe more based on instruction booklet.

Even though this is a two pack dehumidifier, it only comes with one power cord for recharging the devices. If you lose the cord, your out of luck. Go with a reusable dehumidifier that has the cord/plug built in. It will save you the headache. One of the dehumidifiers I received also was leaking silica, it looks like there is a crack letting it out of the device.

Once the silica gel turns pink, it takes too long to recharge and turn blue again. The pack only comes with one cord. If it's two, two cords should be included. The only reason I didn't return this product was because I came back from my mountain trip a day after I was allowed to return it. Over priced for me. I noticed the price now, it's half the price I paid.
Units have a very short "lifespan"
May 3, 2016
This seemed like a great product with great reviews. Unfortunately, the units I received were defective. One would not charge straight out of the box. The second overheated while in the process of recharging, even though it wasn't on the charger for more than ten hours, far less than the 15 hour limit. The third and fourth units recharged a few times and then gradually petered out over a three month period. Waste of money.
Mine is going in the garbage today.

I live in a very humid climate and bought this unit to keep my salt and spices from clumping. I have used it for six months in a small, closed pantry, and noticed no difference whatsoever. The crystals never dry out, the color stays pale lavender all the time no matter how long I plug it in for. As for plugging it in, who puts the connector at the bottom of the unit so you can't set it down normally while charging? Mine is going in the garbage today.
Total waste of money

first time we plugged it in to charge the glass beads inside were crackling and exploding, shards of glass or plastic or whatever it is going everywhere! Total waste of money.

Very disappointed.

I wanted this for my bearded dragon tank because the humidity inside it has been going up now that we are going into fall and have the A/C turned off. This has done absolutely nothing to help. Very disappointed.
Total waste...do zero!

These do nothing. Mine turns green (wet) when I dry it out by plugging in and turns yellow (dry) when soaked with moisture. I have this in a very humid refrigerator, and the color has never changed...always yellow (dry). These are a waste.
Exteremly HOT
September 21, 2017
I bought two of these and will never buy one again. These things get extremely HOT. Not just warm, HOT.When I removed these from the outlet (wall socket) it was so hot I am surprised that it didn't start a fire. If only one was like this I would just assume it was a bad one, but when both are the same, then these seem pretty dangerous to me.They are both going in the trash.I would Not recommend these to a friend !!

Didn't seem to do anything for me. It gets extremely hot when "recharging" though which I know is normal but also worries that it will explode one day I'm not home.
