Excellent Quality Cable
July 11, 2017
Excellent quality cable that works perfectly with between our Polk Audio PSW10 10-Inch Powered Subwoofer and Pioneer (VSX-532) Surround Sound A/V Receiver. It delivers great quality bass that doesn't distort even at max volume
I'm very pleased with this meadow ridge subwoffer cable
June 27, 2017
Hi, I'm very pleased with this meadow ridge subwoffer cable. Very high quality product, I installed it immediately, better than expected. I highly recommend this cable, I'm using it on a Polk audio psw 505, and it is great!! I will buy more meadow ridge products as needed.i
Solid cable, solid connections
April 22, 2017
Sturdy - hooked up once and expect it to last a lifetime. Tip and shell made solid connections with equipment jacks - I'm not worried about corrosion developing over time or being pulled free by its own weight.
Kink free, noise free with secure connecting posts.
March 19, 2017
The last thing you ever want to worry about in your audio setup is your cabling. So, you want to buy a good set that will never come loose and always perform. After over a year of use, I can say that this cable fits the bill for both. I don't have any EMF sources nearby, but it's good to know that the cable offers shielding.
If you're thinking about upgrading your subwoofer cable, this is the one you want.
November 13, 2016
Went from a basic rca that was sending a bad signal and kept cutting out to this. The difference is night and day, now it actually feels like a subwoofer when playing movies and my music. As some others have said the connections are a little tight but that just means they have a secure connection. I got them on very easily with a little push.
An excellent constructed and sounding cable compared to my Monster
January 26, 2016
An excellent constructed and sounding cable compared to my Monster, Esoteric, Belkin Pure AV. I would put this somewhere along the lines of the Belkin Pure AV stuff when it comes to external construction. Since i'm not a robot or computer signal analyzer, to my ears, the sound reproduction is on par with my other sub cables costing far more. Bass was tight and controlled, I've tested this on my original sub and the new sub that replaced it. I also used my Esoteric cable for comparison, both produced lows indistinguishable from one another. I'd definitely say it's a win for my wallet and us audio lovers out there. Definitely worth the money.

Good Quality Cable
July 25, 2017
Good quality cable. No issues so far.- 15ft cable so I could experiment with keeping the subwoofer at different locations in the roomIf using Speaker-out connection, It may be a good idea to purchase a Y cable as well so we can clearly know what is the best volume level for the sub.
This is ALL you need, folks!
April 30, 2015
Works great, don't believe the sales/advertising BS at places like Best Buy where they try to sell you $20-50 subwoofer cables, especially those with the "Monster" brand name on them...anything over ten bucks is a scam!Got this when a $2 subwoofer cable I bought off of eBay failed. Hahaha, there are limits to thrift after all. :D
Belkin/amazon is saving me major coinage!!lol awesome quality!
April 10, 2014
i was going to shop best buy BUT remembered their ridiculous dollar gouging prices!so searched amazon for decent priced gold cables.so when i stumbled across the high powered BIC Subwoofer/these cables popped up as well&im glad they did at only $5+?OMG they are awesome gold plated!was going to get a more expensive brand but read up on these&rev were good.plus prime ship?i was sold.ordered 1 then went back for 2 more!i just wanted to test the 1st 1 out&it's all good!def worth more than $5.they are nice&thick cables to with decent shielding from interference.very tight when u connect them to the subs also/good sign when its nice&tight.i usually spray just a bit of wd40 on the rca jack parts for a better bond on the conection.they say it helps with sound quality&electrical contact.so i do this to all my rca/Hdmi cables as well.only a small amount ok lol.get these nice priced gold cables if u luv great quality gear@ affordable prices!
Great Subwoofer Cable
June 30, 2013
I had tried the Mediabrige but the jacketing was not only unnecessarily thick and made out of a type of plastic that is almost impossible to lay flat. Being a type of plastic is wants to stay in the coiled circle shape it was shipped in. It was kinda like a soft form of barbed wire so to speak. I could not force the Mediabridge under my base boards toi hide the wire without breaking something. I then ordered these Belkins. Big difference, not in sound but how the jacketing is a soft rubber and will lay flat and stay where you put it. Was easy to slide under my base boards. Belkin makes quality stuff. Wished I had bought these Belkins first.
Belkin comes through again!
November 10, 2012
Have had a number of cables by Belkin over the years. They have generally performed and lasted longer than other brand cables. So I thought I would give this budget priced subwoofer cable a try. It does not disappoint. Cable is of moderate to heavy gauge wire, snug fitting gold plated RCA plug ends and is not stiff at all. It looks like it will last a long time. Especially seeing as all it has to do is just sit there passing electrons. Its not like its getting handled every day. The PureAV did not add any static, crackle, noise or hum to the sub. Anyway.....Does it color the bass? I don't think so, and unless the cable made an obviously noticeable change to the sound of the bass I wouldn't be able to tell anyway. Lets face it.... its just a cable. When was the last time someone listened to your stereo and said "Wow! What great sounding cables you have!!!" LOL!The fact is I am very pleased with the sound of the BIC America F12 12-Inch 475-Watt Front Firing Powered Subwoofer and Yamaha HTR-4064 5.1 Channel A/V Receiver that the PureAV cable connect together. What more can I say?You can spend more, but its not going to buy you more.
Great cable...makes placement a breeze!
October 29, 2010
I got this to use with my HTIB surround sound (onkyo makes the best HTIB btw). This cable makes it easy to find a home for a subwoofer...normally big and ugly haha. Just connect it to the LFE output on your receiver and then to the sub. You have to have an active subwoofer to use this cable..."active" meaning that there is an amp built into the subwoofer enclosure. One way to tell is, do you have to plug your subwoofer into a wall outlet??? If the answer is yes, there is a 99.999% chance that the sub is a powered subwoofer and thus this cable is what you need.Smaller/less expensive/less powerful subwoofers are passive = they just need regular speaker wires like the rest of the speakers in the system. The cable is nicely built, firm connection, flexible enough to be practical...great price. Get one!Note: this review is geared towards the more basic home theater setups so please don't leave crazy comments about some assumptions made above....if you have electrostatic speakers they need to be plugged in...if you have a passive sub that comes with its own separate amp...they you could use this cable...blah blah blah. I'm trying to keep it simple :) Post comments if you have questions

caveat, one or two inputs
July 22, 2017
Ideally, I should have procured a cable that split into two connections on the subwoofer side, because the Onkyo amp has one dedicated subwoofer plug, which goes to two inputs. But the Polk subwoofer allows going to one only if you simulate an LFE. Thus the cable I got could be used, and transmits quite well. It's very well built.

October 12, 2013
Good price and good quality without going overboard. The only small thing with it is the design of the cowling that you can see in the image here with the little slits in it, is just a bit strange in how it feels when you plug it in to an RCA receptor. You kind of have to double check it to be sure it is seated fully and tightly. But that is it. Good product.

Decent Cable for the $
January 22, 2015
The Belkin cable feels fairly well built and works as advertised. My only gripe (4 stars) is that the connectors feel a little more loose than I would have hoped. Overall a nice product for the money.
Great cable, lives up to the Belkin name.
September 10, 2014
Bought this cable for my Energy Take 5.1 sound system. This cable is solid, well built, and lives up to what I would expect from the Bellkin name.
nice cable

looks good . price was reasonable. it works well. honestly belkin is a good company. i have hdmi cables also optical. as far as the sub i bought a polk psw 10 . i used for a little bit. i have def tech 8040 fronts with built in 300 watt subs . i can run them lfe or just as regular speakers and the crossovers are in the configuration of the speakers. i would buy more . there worth it .
Totally Decent
January 3, 2013
For the money, this is a great deal on a 15' sub cable. I am running a total of four of these between my vintage Marantz receiver and a Carver sub via the receiver's preamp/amp in/out circuit. I did not experience any hum or distortion, contrary to what was experienced by some other reviewers. One of the RCA plugs fit too loosely to the sub, but I reversed the cable and it worked better that way. Overall, this product provides very good value for the money.
Does the job
March 9, 2010
I was redoing my surround sound, and I wanted to get a high quality cable that had enough length where I wouldn't be too restricted in my subwoofer placement. The cable included with the subwoofer worked fine, even though it was much thinner than this one, but it was only about 6 feet long. This 15 foot cable lets me run the cable along the wall around the room to where I wanted to put my subwoofer, and has great performance. The outside of the cable is more rubbery than plastic, so the cable doesn't need to "relax" before it will lay straight. The packaging was also easy to open.A pretty standard cable, but it does the job well, at a decent price.

Works well if you are careful with it.
May 25, 2017
Worked well for about 2 months. It is a delicate cord though. It was a little long for my setup so I tied up the excess with a zip tie. Apparently it has a short in it now, because I have to play with it sometimes to bet my sub working.
Good cable but connector didn't work
August 5, 2016
Really sturdy and heavily shielded cable, yet flexible. The problem was one of the connectors didn't enter fully. I tried different devies and it just didn't fit. So I had to return it.
besides that it works great!

I have to move the plug every now and then when i somehow touch the plug because the connection isn't solid or something, besides that it works great!
Good quality.
September 10, 2015
Standard cable, no complaints. Good quality.
Decent cables
April 14, 2014
I had some cheap rocket fish wires from best buy for my sub, but would get feedback from the speaker when on with nothing playing. I bought some expensive monster cables and they eliminates the noise completely. Then I ran into these on amazon and thought I might as well give them a shot for the price. These still have a slight hum, but I decided to deal with it with the price they are.
Goes in too tight
November 3, 2012
I was reading the reviews at Amazon about the Mediabridge sub cable; when I came a across one review that said it went in too tight. I didn't believe it and ordered it anyway. When I received it, I hooked it up to my $700 sub. It did not want to go in. I had to force it hard on the RCA jacks. It almost felt like they would brake off. I then tried it on my receiver. Same thing; I had to literally force the cable on the RCA jacks again. I've never had this problem before with RCA cables. All the cables that I've had previous to this Mediabridge cable always plugged in nice and smooth. I then decided to take off the Mediabidge cable from my sub and receiver and same thing; the cable didn't unplug easily like the others. I had to pull hard. It felt like the RCA jacks were going to break. Don't get me wrong; this is a well built, high quality cable. But I won't buy another one anymore. I'ts the way the tip is made to go in way too tight on the RCA jacks. I'm using a different cable now that plugs and unplugs from my system smoothly and easily.

Not too bad, but not great
February 23, 2015
It is OK, see no significant improvement from the cheap AV cable I used before
May be good for other subwoofers
January 22, 2015
I am using a sunfire subwoofer and the connection was not as firm as I hoped. My subwooder vibrates quite a fair bit during play and this loosens the connection. And the subwoofer hum starts up once this happens but it was less loud than the previous very cheap RCA cable that I was using. The delivery of bass was great though, it was less boomy and i could make out some notes, but if only the hum would go away..........that would be perfect.
Good enough

I was not able to use this with my set up but paid so little for it I'll keep it for future use or to help out a friend.
Beyond my expectation will never fail your taste
November 14, 2013
I normally, read the low rating stars before making judgement but this this really proved me wrong, Some customers' low rating for this product have no justification, if they received exactly the same product I got from this seller. This product was brought to me as new and works perfectly, my previous cable, I could not hear the bass but now very clear bass. I personally recommend this product to all respective buyers, should buy this product with confidence and it will never fail your taste as compare with the other prices. It fits both the receiver and the subwoofer knobs perfectly. My only suggestion is that since always shorter cables are likely to transmit quality sounds, I will suggest that they manufacture shorter cables example 8 or 6 fts cables as well.
50/50
August 7, 2013
I bought two of these... i'm guessing I didn't see that these came in greater lengths... not sure, but got two and plugged up my subwoofer to my new Pioneer 1023K receiver. I joined the cabels with a RCA coupler that I've used in the past for audio cables. within minutes, the subwoofer just hummed, like there was no tomorrow. I read many reviews and what to do to get rid of the hum. all the ground loop eliminators I found, the reviews were towards auto engine noises etc and none were directed towards home A/V receivers. I read a lot about grounding issues within a house and how it's best to use 1 receptacle opposed to multiple, but then it hit me... the subwoofer box doesn't have a ground pin, so that didn't make sense. Then an electrical engineer friend asked... if it didn't hum before it could be the receiver but did you try using other cables? sure enough, 'other' older thinner cables work fine. then I tested 1 of the new cables and it was fine, but then the second one - HUUUUUMMMMMMMM!... so one cable is worthless and the other is good... at least for now.for $5, i'll throw it out or use it to tie something out back. I just ordered a coax 35 footer double shielded and this thing looks like it belongs in the space shuttle and only cost $16... i'm wondering if it's going to be hummm free.Hope this helps.gave it 3 stars, because there was no 2.5. for the one that works I guess it's a 5 star rating, but the other one is a zero star, therefore 3 stars!

Returning a bad cable is a pain
March 9, 2013
I had a bad cable that we paid an installer to install in the wall. One of the cables in the bundle would not work. Before they will replace it they want me to take pictures to show that I destroyed the cable (which means that I can't even use the wires that actually do work) while waiting for the new cable to be shipped and received. That also means that I have to add an extra $75 to the cost of the cable to pay for the installer to come again. The cable I purchased was the Mediabridge Ultra Series Component Video Cable with Audio - (15 Feet) - Gold Plated Pro Grade RCA Connectors. I am still without a cable and it has been a few weeks.

Over-engineered
June 28, 2015
The material quality is very good, however the over-engineered plugs cause a poor connection as it wobbles in the jack. This cable may work just fine depending on the design of the center pin connection in the jack. The loose connection created distortion and vibrations on the floor would wake the sub-woofer up from standby mode. The split center plug can damage the jack connections. If I were to re-design the plug, I would eliminate the split center and make the outer coaxial connection a cylinder shape. The current design only grips from the tips and that causes the plug to wobble.
Buy Mediabridge Instead
August 16, 2014
This cable did not work with my Polk Audio subwoofer and Vizio soundbar. I went with Mediabridge's cables, and I couldn't be happier.
Dreadful low buzz from sub while using this cable
July 15, 2013
The cable that came with my Orb Super Eight subwoofer broke at the connector end, so I ordered this as a replacement. Although I concede it might be due to something in another part of the system, there's a dreadful and annoying buzz I hear only when the sub is on, and which increases with volume as the sub's volume is increased. I tried the sub with 2 other cables audiophile friends of mine lent me, and in neither case was the accompanying buzz present (same music selection and system configuration). But once I reconnected the Belkin, the buzz returned. A positive is our condo neighbors must love how constantly quiet our condo is lately. The buzz is just too much an annoyance to bother playing music anymore, so until I can swallow my indignation and shell out the cash my music-snob friends did for their cables, I'll just stick to my headphones.
Humming Cable
July 13, 2012
This may be a case of unfortunate defective product. I've purchased and used many Belkin products and when a Belkin product is good (most all Belkin products are), I am very pleased with quality and performance for the price. I did not exchange this cable since I used another from a local source.Whatever the case, I won't say I hate this cable but, because of the humming, I don't like it for it didn't work out for me.
Probably not well shielded
January 8, 2011
This cable works fine when all the equipment is turned on, but when my receiver is in standby mode, the subwoofer emits a constant low-pitch hum. Initially I thought it was a fault with my receiver but I tried it on two other receiver/subwoofer systems and had the same problem. I ending up buying another cable from radio-shack and it seems to work much better.

so it's the mediabridge cable that's bad. No good using oynko reciever and polk sub
June 1, 2016
Dead on arrival, hooked up and could not get any sound from the sub at all. I then tried up a cheap rca cable and it worked, so it's the mediabridge cable that's bad. No good using oynko reciever and polk sub.
bad Cable
December 26, 2015
Bought this to connect my new sub woofer to my receiver, based on the very positive customer reviews. However, when I set up the system I immediately heard a loud 60 Hz hum coming from the sub woofer. When I swapped in a different (cheaper) cable, the problem went away. I then confirmed that the MediaBridge cable was bad by swapping it back in, and the hum came back (yes, I made sure that both connectors were fully seated). Fortunately, Amazon has an excellent return policy.
Defective Connector
September 8, 2015
I received a defective cable. One of the connector ends has a loose internal connection. Wiggling the cable will make or break the connection.I threw away the packaging and cannot return it.I have purchased other Mediabridge products and they have been good. I guess this is just a fluke.
Terrible wire dropping signal.
August 13, 2015
First time in my life wire was not working properly. First of all jacks are way to tight. But most important wire is losing signal. I have brand new subwoofer and every cable is working except this one. You need to align wire all the time. Complete junk.

Not For High Quality Sound
September 5, 2013
You get what you pay for!I took a chance on this relatively inexpensive cable as I needed a 15-foot subwoofer cable to replace a 12-foot cable after a relocation of components. I couldn't find a decent cable locally and the reviews were good for this one. Unfortunately, I didn't find a decent cable here, either. The loss of signal to the subwoofer was dramatic. I returned components to original locations and re-installed the higher quality 12-foot cable. For my needs, this Belkin PureAV cable is no better than the stuff that's shipped with TVs, VCRs, etc. Pretty package, though!Another problem with this cable is that one end was extremely tight to slip over the RCA connector, so much so that I was worried about damaging the RCA connector on the component during installation. The other end slipped onto the connector as would be expected.Poor Quality Control. Cheap stuff. Live and learn.
HO HUM!
May 20, 2013
I purchased this cable because I wanted a low cost, but higher quality cable for my new Klipsch subwoofer and Denon Receiver setup. I got what I wanted with the cost, but not with the quality. When I plugged the cable in, I got an incredible humming sound (poor shielding). I worked the cable around differently, and tried to get the cable to connect better, but to no avail. When I un-plugged it, and plugged in a standard RCA cable to the setup, the hum went away. I, of course, won't use that cable permanently, but at least I don't have a hum out of my subwoofer, while I look for a better quality cable (like Monster). Don't waste your money on this one!!!
hear a hum
February 2, 2011
This worked initially for some days - then I started hearing a hum.If I remove this cable from the receiver and just keep it on the sub - I still hear a hum. If I touch the jack - then the increases/decreases. I tried all other suggestions to remove hum - it did not work.
Noticeable Hummmmmmm
February 1, 2011
I read the reviews of this cord. One person said there was a noticeable hum. He said that he had to switch it out with a much cheaper and simpler av cord. I ignored it. BIG MISTAKE. The connection was NOT snug and when there was no sound coming out, there was a pronounced HUM. Turning down the volume eliminated it, but it also eliminated the subwoofer. DO NOT BUY THIS. Belkin AV20500-15 is a waste of money. I chased the price, and that was a mistake.
Belkin Subwoofer Cable
October 25, 2009
The cable is well constructed, but it initially did not work in my system because it was not tight enough on the jacks of my receiver and subwoofer. I tried pinching in the tabs on the connectors, but they were too stiff to do so by hand. I succesfully tightened one end using a pair of pliers. But the other end crushed three of the tabs. One of the tabs broke off when I pulled it back out so I could could get the connector to go over the jack on the subwoofer. Also, the packaging is a nightmare. Just getting the cable out of the package was an ordeal.
