Top Quality!
September 8, 2016
Exactly what I expected. My bass in my entertainment system is much cleaner and tighter sounding. Using these cables (I purchased 2) to Run a Klipsch sub and a JBL. The quality of the cables themselves is first rate. Highly recommend this product.
Great quality and a great price!
January 23, 2016
Just got this when I purchased my new subwoofer and it has been great! Most cables are just cables but even at first glance you can tell that this cable is definitely a step up from most. It feels very solid and durable. Some other cables I have used in the past just feel very cheap and I worry about how long they will last but not this one. I have not doubt that this will last as long if not longer than my sub. The connection at both ends was very secure, I actually had to use a decent amount of pressure to connect it so I am not worried about it coming loose, even if I have to move my equipment around. If you need a cable for your subwoofer then this is the cable you want to buy.
A high quality, gold plated and thick rica cable.
September 4, 2015
Now this feels like quality! My small 5.1 home system came with a subwoofer cable that was the circumference of a mouse wire or smaller! This baby is a whole lot bigger plus it is gold coated and fits very snug into my sub and receiver. The price was cheap for a quality subwoofer cable but a bit high for what it really is, an rca cable. I wouldn't say I notice a real difference in my entry level system but knowing I have all quality cables connected to it is a good feeling as well as knowing if I upgrade my system, I have quality cables to use. I would definitely buy it again. Mediabridge has never disappointed me.
Now THIS is a cable!
December 1, 2014
The subwoofer cable that came with the subwoofer is puny. I mean, when I opened the box and took this bad boy out, I looked at that puny little cable and told it to take some vitamins or something. Then I stuck it away. Far away. The sheer power and sound from this cable make it worthwhile: there's nothing like the rumble of the space ships and explosions during the opening battle sequence of Star Wars Episode III to thrill a person. And this is thrilling.I know it's just a cable, right? Well, humor me and let me talk it up a bit!If you have a decent home theater with a powered subwoofer, you owe it to yourself to use a non-puny sub cable. And this is the one to use.
Sound heaven
May 15, 2014
I got this to help with the remote subwoofer location on my 7.2 receiver. I have a sub up front and ran a long cable through the wall to a rear location where I plan to put another. I got this to go from the wall plate to the sub when I get it. Just for kicks I replaced the small cable that came with my little home theater in a box system I bought 12 years ago. After all, lots of reviewers said it improved their sound. I was skeptical! How can a cable make a difference? It does. I was shocked. You can hear a very clear difference in the quality of sound coming from this little sub. Better bass and the sound is more clear. The lows can't get me too excited because this is a small 6" sub, but, it has better sound production that it did with the stock cable. I will be getting another one, because this one is not leaving the spot it now has. Now I'm wondering what this will do for a really good sub that I get for the rear?? Bet it will be good.
Good cable at a great price
August 24, 2013
This cable is a fantastic bargain. It uses good materials and is well constructed. The price is perfect and it gets the job done well. You can't go wrong with this if their size options work out for you. I bought the 8ft. and it was fine for my initial thought of where I would place my sub. When I tried to move it farther away I found 8ft. wasn't enough and I needed something more like 10ft. There was no option and I didn't want all the extra cable of bumping up to the 15ft. model. I ended up spending a bit more to replace this with a 10ft. from a more "boutique" brand. I don't know that there is much difference in quality between the two, certainly nothing I can notice sound-wise, and the construction of this cable isn't much "worse" than the higher end cable. This cable certainly beats your average, basic RCA cable. Just get this one and be done with your search!

Good Product

Very sturdy construction. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality given the low price. Definitely does not have that cheap feel to it that a lot of Chinese made products do. It even came with a velcro cable strap. As far a operation, I was worried that given the 25' length I could lose signal strength or get noise, but the sound from my subwoofer is strong and clean. It works very well.

This cable is amazing. I purchased the 25ft to go from the front of my room to the back agaibst the wall, and it does exactly that. Since this cable is hefty, it probably will not fit under your molding between your carpet. It is a large cable roughly comparable to a 8awg wire. However, being so hefty, it doesnt loose signal, and the shielding allows for great flexability so it doesnt retain the shape of the spool.

I have been buying Mediabridge products for a long time. The first thing that attracted me to Mediabridge is that they do not charge tax in CA, I took a chance and ordered a couple of cables knowing amazon has my back if I dont like them but boy oh boy was I surprised by the quality of their products. The price to quality ratio of Mediabridge products are excellent.Enough about the company. The cable is very sturdy and very well built and the connectors are solid too they connect nice and tight to my receiver and SVS subwoofer. Give Mediabridge products a chance for your needs I assure you, you wont be disappointed.
I have purchased many different kinds of cables from this manufacturer and so far all are excellent quality without any problems
June 27, 2016
The cable is definitely thick and appears to be well made and fits nice and tightly into both my Yamaha amp and in the back of my subwoofer and I had purchased cables from the same manufacturer from everything like USB and HDMI and fiber optical cables and have had very good luck with all of them so far.
Definitely not sub-par!
October 19, 2013
This cable is definitely not sub par, unless you're a golfer, and sub par is what you're shooting for.The quality is excellent for the price, and you wouldn't find anything better without spending twice as much or probably more. The terminations are heavy duty, with gold plated contacts and spiral-notched, locking type connectors, meaning that when twisted one way they go on easily, and when twisted in the opposite direction they tighten up for a very secure fit.The cord is of a heavy gauge for minimal signal loss.Highly recommended!

Had tried a competitors cable also sold on Amazon for similar price for connecting my sub wooferThe competitors cable had way too much ghost signal coming across.. we could hear voices from the sub woofer when the stereo sound was off.The media bridge cable has had no interference... tried both the 8' and later the 25' and both work great
State of the Art, I guess
October 23, 2013
I needed a relatively short length of subwoofer cable to link my new Polk Audio Subwoofer to my new Xtrememac Tango Bar desktop sound bar. This Mediabridge dual-shielded, gold plated cable is state of the art. Sometimes existing electrical cable running along the floor will interfere with a lessor speaker cable's efficiency, but the dual shield ensures true, crisp response from my subwoofer. I like that! Sure, I could have opted for the big name monster type of cable, but Mediabridge has made a product worthy of consideration. It's "monster" enough for me, and I'm happy with my choice... or at least I was until I tried to connect it with my Xtrememac. It could not fit the sub-out plug of the Xtrememac. It was too large. The other end of the cable fit my subwoofer just fine, but Xtrememac's "shell" opening is smaller. I've never encountered this kind of problem. I'm sure the cable would be fine with any other connection, but it will not work with Xtrememac.
great product for the price
January 3, 2013
I can't complain about this sub woofer wire - solid connection parts and flexible cord with a quality texture.I was hoping it would reduce the hum I get and an annoying signal from a local radio station tower about 2-miles away, but alas, this is no silver bullet for interference.

A subwoofer produces low frequencies that extends the bass of a full-range speaker system. There are two kinds of subwoofers, active and passive. Passive speakers use speaker cable. Active Subwoofers are connected to the amp with a interconnect. Low Frequencies travel differently from midrange and high frequencies so just any interconnect won't necessarily give you the best bass possible. Monster has a complete line of active subwoofer cables engineered specifically to deliver those deep rumbling tones. Some people seem to have trouble with automatic turn-on of the sub (if so equipped) and report that using a "Y" fixes it. Also, feeding both inputs with a "Y" can increase the apparent gain of the sub which in some cases could be useful. There was much debate over this latter point on AVS so I tried it myself. On my Definitive Tech PF1500 sub, with all other things equal, using a "Y" versus a single feed into either left or right provided ~5dB more gain. If you double feed, it would be theoretically double the voltage so 6dB increase, but not all input circuitry seems to work this way so it's usually 3-5dB observed.
mother of all cables.
August 17, 2015
It's a very nice cable, but this whole $$deluxe cable$$ racket angers me... it is a glorified coax with RCA connectors. Granted, a very nice one in a nice little box, all delicately bound up with a twist tie. Seriously, it is nice quality - supple with snug-fitting connectors, and I certainly understand that nice equipment is worth a lot, and that we don't want to short-change our audio components, but still... actually this isn't _that_ expensive, I just felt like venting.
Great subwoofer cable at a great price
January 11, 2013
I recently bought a home theater setup for myself for Christmas; after a little googling and amazon searching I decided to go with this cable. It has a nice rubber jacket and the connectors fit securely on the subwoofer and receiver plug.It is a good idea to buy a subwoofer cable a little longer than you really need; you may want to move the subwoofer around the room until you find the spot where it sounds the best while making everyone happy aesthetically(not sitting in the middle of the floor). With the longer cable you can place the subwoofer in a back corner if needed; if closer, just use a cable tie to pick up the slack. The price of a shorter cable is only slightly less so don't put yourself in a position where you need to order a longer second cable!I had no issues with my cable but Mediabridge seems to have excellent customer service; I received a nice friendly card inside my package and 2 follow up emails asking me to contact them if I had any questions or problems at all.
Top quality, great product, connectors a little tight.
December 13, 2011
Another awesome product from Mediabridge, I've been impressed with every Mediabridge product I've purchased. For this 25ft subwoofer cable, the RCA connectors are as nice as any I've seen. The cable itself is very thick but still plenty flexible. The outer rubber jacket lives up to the pro grade name. This cable is worth every penny and then some, no need to pay more for any other brand. One word of caution: I'm sensitive to tight RCA connectors for two reasons, my old CD player is worthless now due to the RCA outs being disconnected on the inside of the unit, and reviews of my receiver note issues with the subwoofer output being very fragile. That said, the RCA connectors on this cable are very tight and therefore make me very nervous using this cable. As a precaution, I twist more so than push when installing this cable because it takes a lot of force to plug the cable into my receiver and my subwoofer. If you are careful, I'm sure you'll be fine, just be prepared and don't go jamming these onto your equipment as damage is possible. I won't be plugging and unplugging this cable over and over, so I'm ok with the tightness of the connectors. Overall, a 5-star product brought down to 4-stars because of the overly tight connectors.

Plugs are a bit large lengthwise which makes this difficult to place component closer to the wall, etc. really like the thickness as it's very heavy duty and seems to be built well, does carry the signal.

Good cable, but won't lay flat.
December 3, 2013
Pros:-- Gold connectors snap in place easily and stay connected-- Good sound-- Good shieldingCons:-- The cable won't lay flatMost cables are pretty good, and this cable gives every indication of delivering good sound. I have no reason to doubt that the cable carries a clean signal from my receiver. I appreciate the strong, easy-to-use connectors. My one criticism is a cosmetic one and the reason for my three-star rating. This cable came coiled, and I've since had reason to keep it coiled from time to time. The cable's thick shielding retains a memory of the time the cable was coiled, and I can't get it to lay flat against the baseboard. It kicks out into the room, and this will necessitate some kind of fastener to the baseboard. It's a good, thick cable, but it requires effort to control it.

Disappointed
May 27, 2014
I purchased this cord to replace my monoprice subwoofer cable. The monoprice cord was good and cheap; but started to die on me after about 4 years of use. So I tried Mediabridge. The 1st cable they sent was DOA. I thought it was my receiver since my monoprice cord was bad and then also the new Mediabridge cord. This caused a headache because I didnt know if the issue was because of my sub or reciever. I almost sent in my reciever for expensive repair of the LFE port. I'm glad I did not and discovered it was the cord. Mediabridge has good customer service and they shipped me a new cord. The new cord works fine! But there are other reviews that this cord gives off a hum noise. It definitly does give off a hum. It is quite annoying to hear that hum when the sub is not in use. But it does work. Just know that if you do buy, you will get a low hum noise just like the other posts have mentioned.
good cable and price
December 6, 2013
Price was main factor as they get way to much for these from most stores this one will work just as good and half the cost.
What's so awesome? lol
February 4, 2012
A good subwoofer cable is one you can run alongside speaker wire and not get interference. There is a tiny bit of interference within this cable. But it's all good! I only hear it when my sub is turned all the way up, and since I don't need to turn it all the way up, the hum is completely inaudible. So look, if you've got a large home theater, and you've got a lot of bass you want to send to your sub, try getting a better cable. If you're like me with an entry to mid level surround sound system, this is fine. Decent price for a 25' cable.

Ordered two of these cables, one worked and is working fine; the other was very touchy and had to be seated just right to convey a signal. It constantly dropped out so I threw it away and replaced it with a cheap RCA cable that's doing the job better. Just something to consider when ordering.

I found using a much shorter cable, 6 feet, works much better than this 25 footer.
February 13, 2013
I can't recommend this cable. I have a simple 100 watt rec/amp and it appears that that is not enough power to use this long of a cable for my subwoofer. So,I tried an old 6 foot cable to my Subwoofer, and viola, much better sound.Of course it could be just a bad cable, but I won't know that until I get a replacement. But I suspect not.
TIGHT FIT
July 5, 2012
Like so many other "made in China" products, this is built to put in place and never be touched again. The squeeze this cable puts on its counterparts will lead to failure if not slowly and painstakenly removed.

December 28, 2016
While the quality of you Bass might be a little louder using this cable, and even that may be disputed, it is also more muffled. Not really what I would call clean. The Monoprice 102682 Digital Coax cable will offer cleaner punchier Bass and it's about the same price.

I have purchased Mediabridge cables before and been very satisfied. However, this RCA to RCA cable did not work! Open circuit from center connector to center connector! Just wanted everyone to know that they are not 100%.

December 24, 2016
I ordered two of these to install in my built-in 7-2 surround system. Unfortunately, even though these cables are supposed to be double shielded, I have excessive 60 cycle hum when they are connected to the sub. I tried ferrite chokes on each end and also the sub power cord to no avail. If I connect the sub via a different cable to the amp I don't have the hum. Unfortunately(my mistake) the Mediabridge cables are permanently installed now so I can't simply replace them with something else. At this juncture I'll probably need to fork out $500-$600 for a wireless sub. Lesson learned: test everything before permanently installing.
Hum introduced with this cable
January 24, 2016
I purchased this cable to move my subwoofer amplifier to a higher shelf, in which my old cable would just not reach. With nothing else changed but this cable, a significant hum was introduced. I switched back to the old shelf and old cable, and hum was eliminated. That sums it up.
AWFUL CABLE.
January 15, 2015
Ok so let me start out by saying that the cable looks and feels of nice quality. Here's the problem, AS SOON as I plugged it into my subwoofer it started Humming, I mean Instantly! I disconnected and plugged back in my $5 cable that I purchased from Target and the Humming was gone. I was using the Target cable for about a year perfectly fine but I wanted to move the location of my subwoofer and the cable was not long enough which is the reason I purchased this cable. BIG MISTAKE! I tried in every way possible to get this cable to work for me but it was all a waste of time. The humming sounded like it was going to blow my sub out the box. Will NEVER buy this product again or recommend to anyone. Absolute garbage. DO NOT BUY. I know its the cable for 2 reasons, (1) sub was working fine with other cable for a year, soon as I plugged this cable into it the humming started, disconnected put old cable back on and humming was gone. (2) tried it on my bedroom subwoofer that's been hooked up for years and SAME PROBLEM occurred, disconnected put back my old cable and had no problem. That's TWO different subs in TWO different setups that gave me the SAME problem only when using this cable.

DOA
January 21, 2013
Can't recall in decades ever having a cable that didn't work, but this one on arrival brand new did not. And I had a previous high quality sub cable of longer length working (pulled it to use for our main movie sub). No volume or bass boost could get the sub to engage. For 10 bucks its probably not even worth my time to return it. Other HDMI by the same company seem to be working good, but not this sub cable, so I'm both disappointed and surprised.
