| | One of the best purchases I have made on AmazonSeptember 14, 2017 I would have called anyone a liar that claimed these would improve my SVS subs performance over the single Monster cable with a Y-adapter added on that I was using. The ONLY reason I bought this was because I didn't care for the way I had to run a Y-Adapter on my single cable with my SVS sub. The volume difference was IMMEDIATELY noticeable after installing this cable. The volume thing is still kind of subjective though so here is the "quantitative" proof.... I used to have to turn my Yamaha receiver volume up to at least -55.0 (sometimes as much as -52.0) to get my SVS amp to trigger the auto turn on from the RCA input with the Monster Cable and Y-Adapter (also Monster Brand). With this Mediabridge ULTRA cable it triggers the auto-on all the way down at -70.0 !!!!!!! That is a HUGE difference; clearly a lot more signal is getting to the sub which accounts for the obvious volume increase I mentioned the first time I turned it on with the new cable. The build quality of this cable was obvious as soon I got it in my hands. I am sold on the brand and will likely use their stuff exclusively going forward since the price is great and it is certainly not a budget cable. Definitely getting more than you pay for with this cable (at least compared to what the competition has to offer). I have a Monster cable, an Amazon Basics cable for two of my subs, this one is as well made as Monster, little more flexible and easy to work with in tight spaces without straining the receiver connections. Using this for Aperion Audio Bravus II 10D sub which is btw an awesome sub. Dare say better than the similar Velodyne and SVS SB1000 I have. I Highly Recommend ALL Mediabridge products!! All other competitors in this price range are very flimsy and lightweight and build quality is sub par compared to Mediabridge!!Even speaker wire I also purchased was significantly Heavier to a supposed Equal AWG from another company. Initially I had my sub hooked up with a single RCA (not a good move) so it would not auto power, I would manually unplug and plug it in. Also, didn't realize I was missing a channel completely with this bad connection. When I hooked it up with this Mediabridge connector it sounds AWESOME. Auto power works perfect and it sounds like a monster. Thanks it's such a good value! (I checked out a local big box electronics store and they have sub cables for like 5x as much! What a rip off) Good price for a good cable.April 24, 2015 $10, and solved issue with my subwoofer not shutting off automatically. May have improved sounds. I'm not sure. Bottom line is this a good cable to use for a sub. The turbine design connectors grip input very well. Nice and tight so the connection doesn't get interrupted.Does it make my subwoofer sound any better? Meh, probably not. But whatever. This is a good price for a good cable. Why pay more?October 29, 2014 It worked on my "Polk Audio PSW10 10-Inch Powered Subwoofer (Single, Black) " with my Denon receiver. Can't tell the difference from this and expensive cables. Why pay more at the big box stores? |

Somebody makes it and it is sold on Amazon. It works exactly as designed. I allowed me to add a notebook PC to my old stereo component system. Subwoofer cable is a nice upgrade!January 4, 2017 Subwoofer cable is a big improvement over my original RocketFish cable. I have it connected to both inputs on my Velodyne VRP 10. I do not however see a difference in loudness from connecting or disconnecting the bottom input as some people have but no matter it has much more bass and a more realistic sound. The entire Jack portion is slightly longer than standard. Please understand, not the pin, nor the outer copper, the coated end where you hold it to plug in. It jutted out about an 1/8" more so my sound bar did not seat well against the wall. I ended up moving it off the wall.Again, it is high quality and if not using for a wall mounted sound bar Yamaha 101, it may be perfect for your needs. No problems with shipper. After putting this wire on, I can definitely hear the improvement in the sound. I think the quality is very decent for the money. All About That BassJuly 15, 2015 It's a well built sub cable. Ends are of a good build quality. The insulation is thicker than I thought and I am generally impressed with the product for the price.I'd say it is much better built than the over-hyped monster cables, for a reasonable price.Buy this over the branded cables and your ears and pocket book will be grateful. |

The reason i give it 3 stars is because i didn't do my homework before purchasing it and the receiver im attempting to use it on is so old that it doesn't have a digital conversion function on it. If you are using a more modern receiver that has this function then this product will work for you. If not, then you have a really nice cable that doesn't do anything for you. | | NOT S/PDIF to RCA. Previous product description misleading.June 9, 2016 Sturdy cable with good contacts but not an S/PDIF to RCA as stated in previous product description. It is simply a mono RCA to dual RCA Y connection. The product description seems to have changed since I received mine and was unable to use it. Hopefully it is more accurate now.
