BETTER THAN RAZER
September 23, 2017
I've had this mouse for over a year now and I thought it was time to post a review. This mouse is AWESOME! And I don't just think so because of the price but I truly would pay $40 for this thing. It is extremely durable with a rugged nylon braided cord. The shape is comfortable, the mouse is incredibly responsive and the extra buttons are easy to access and I use them for almost every game I play.In the time that I've had this mouse my friend's $100 Razer Naga Croma broke and he bought another $70 mouse from Razer that still doesn't match up to mine and along with being incredibly durable and responsive, this mouse looks awesome! I would highly suggest it. Even if you already have a gaming mouse everyone should have one of these as a backup at least, because the HAVIT HV-MS672 isn't breaking anytime soon.
Good mouse for the price!!

I bought 2 of these. One for my gaming desktop, and one for my work Laptop.I was like, let's see how good these are for $7.99.After a month or two of use. Wow, what a deal. I came from an abyss gaming mouse, and this is just as good if not better.I like the feel, how smooth it is, and the round cable protection. It feels durable. The buttons and the mouse have good response, I highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic!

This is perhaps the best purchase I have made in a very long time! For $8 the build quality, fit and finish is unparalleled. The led lights look incredible even in a lit environment and are far from distracting in a dark one. The ergonomics fits my hand wonderfully, though I could see how it may be a tad big for anyone with small hands. The best part is I received this mouse in less than 24 hours from hitting the "buy" button! I am just getting into pc gaming and this mouse absolutely fits the bill. The woven fabric around the wire is another really nice touch, and the variable dpi button is something I never knew I needed until I used it!My ONLY complaint is that the buttons are very, very light. I haven't had any issue with them being so easy to click yet, but it does make me paranoid that I'll fire off a random shot while I'm trying to be stealthy! If you're looking for a new ergonomic mouse with a real desktop presence, this is absolutely the mouse to buy!

Love it and looks and feels like a expensive mouse works great too
Beautiful, Works Well, Quirky Side Buttons
October 24, 2016
I knew I had made a good choice as soon as the packaging arrived. Havit evidently likes to add some class to their packages. The product itself works as expected, with breathing multicolored lights. You cannot choose a specific light, but this is what I had intended anyway. When you change DPI settings (which works like a charm) it will briefly flash a specific color, which I thought was an interesting feature. The USB cable itself is sufficiently long for most setups (though perhaps too long for laptop usage). The mouse is fairly large, larger than my previous gaming mouse, but I am 6'4" with decently large hands.I do have a complaint, however. The forward/back side buttons seem to be the reverse of the usual. In most mice I have used, "back" is the button further towards the back of the mouse and the opposite for "forward". Normally, I would suggest updating drivers, but this does not help. The "Plug and Play" software utilizes generic drivers which seem to point differently for this mouse than others. It took some getting used to when browsing.Apart from this, I enjoyed the product. I recommend it for purchase.

great value mouse
October 19, 2016
great product. Ive used this mouse for about a year now and I am very happy with it. I was looking for a cheap gaming and all around mouse. I am not the kind of gamer to get too bent out of shape about a mouse so I was really just looking for a value mouse with some buttons (forward/back web browser stuff) and the DPI button was a bonus and it works great for gaming too. are there better gaming mouses out there? of course but not for this price. only con is the same as others have said that you cannot 'turn off' the blue light which can be bright in a dark room but I knew that going in so I wont hit it for a star deduction. if for some reason I needed to leave my pc running overnight i would just toss something over the mouse to cut the light. would recommend for all around use and as a value gaming mouse. ambidextrous ability is also a plus for some although forward/back buttons are on one side only.
Excellent mouse for work and gaming
June 14, 2016
I've been using this mouse for over a year for work. I spend a ton of time moving across 3 monitors, using remote desktop software, and logging into my customer's computers to manipulate and correct data. Much of this requires high precision and pinpoint accuracy, and this mouse delivers as desired.

Where my coworkers are changing out batteries and getting wifi/bluetooth adapters mixed up, I sit back and laugh, knowing my corded-mouse will never run out of juice so long as my workstation has power.

I've also used this mouse for some impromptu gaming, mostly some fast-twitch death-match games like Unreal and Quake 3. I've been pwning my co-workers with great aplomb to the point I was accused of h@x (the truth is I have been gaming since the good 'ol IDKFA and IDDQD days).

Given the level of use and abuse I've heaped upon this mouse, I can say with confidence this is FAR better than every other mouse I've used (except another Etekcity that I use explicitly for gaming on my home computer) including multiple Logicrap corded and cordless mice and even my ancient Razer Diamondback mouse. The ergonomics are fine for casual gaming and professional work, and the cord is plenty long. Button response is excellent (courtesy Omron microswitches internally). My only complaint is the blue LED glow is quite bright, but that is a minor quibble for such a reliable and well-constructed HID.
Good, solid mouse
January 1, 2016
I was NOT given this product. I bought it at full price. I give it 5 stars with all factors considered.

I needed to finally get a more advanced mouse (the two extra thumb buttons primarily, but also a higher dpi), but I didn't want to spend more than $20, so I got this one for around $12. 2400dpi is plenty high enough for me (i actually use the third highest setting the most, which is 1600dpi I think) and it tracks very well. The mouse is large and fits my hand almost perfectly (i'm 6'3" so i have larger hands), and it has a good quality weight to it. Even with the larger size and it being significantly heavier than my last mouse, I still primarily use a claw-grip. It's not ideal for this mouse, but I can't break that habit. The buttons have a normal click. They're not really quiet, but they're not obnoxiously loud either. They also have a large area of activation... meaning, you can click it anywhere from the tip all the way up to almost halfway back the length of mouse. The two side buttons feel good enough as well, and the scroll wheel is quiet and accurate.

The only real negative is that every now and then the mouse resets itself and puts the pointer on the corner of your screen. I've owned the mouse for about a month now, and it's happened to me about 10 times or so. Because of the frequency (maybe once every 15-20 hours of use), it's not that big of a deal, but it could definitely mean the difference between living and dying in a game if it happens at a critical time. Taking into account the cost of the mouse, this isn't enough for me to knock a star off of the rating.

Oh yeah, the nice blue lighting. My personal preference is no lights at all, but the blue lights look great and are quite bright actually. The key here is that, unlike other mice at this price range, it has a method to turn the light off. It's just a simple on/off switch on the bottom. Without being able to turn it off, I never would've bought this mouse.

Assuming it doesn't blow up right after I submit this review, I'd definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a good full-size mouse at a really low cost. Also, I'll be sure to come back and update if something does go wrong, and I have no problems about answering any questions you have.
Highly impressed! Love this mouse!
December 6, 2015
I have never heard of Etekcity and I have to say that I am beyond impressed with the quality. This is a fantastic mouse and for the price, this deal is unmatched. I simply cannot stress that enough. The gaming mouse I had before it was dying and my right and middle-mouse click stopped working for the most part and I needed a mouse. I received this mouse in 2 days with my Prime membership and I've never been more satisfied with a mouse purchase. It's not going to break your bank and the quality is really good. The mouse itself feels good and it's a good size. The ergonomic design fits your hand well and it works well for long gaming sessions. I play World of Warcraft between 6 and 10 hours a day and I haven't been disappointed. Plus the mouse is very aesthetically pleasing with bright blue LEDs. I don't personally use the DPI sensitivity button, but if you are someone who wishes to switch DPI sensitivity quickly-then it's perfect. I'm giving it 5 stars because it arrived quickly, does what I want it to and I don't plan on buying another mouse for a long time. Highly recommend! Don't break your bank-buy this mouse!
Amazing gaming mouse
September 26, 2015
For a little over $10, this is the best value you're going to get. Though many gamers may see the "optical" tag and shy away from it immediately to go find a much more expensive laser mouse, I assure you, having used both the Razer Deathadder and the Corsair M65 RGB extensively, this mouse is the one I keep coming back to. Not only does this mouse's sensor easily compete with both the Deathadder and the M65 RGB (both considered to be the best gaming mice on the market), the feel of it easily beats out the M65 RGB, at least for me, though your preference may vary, and feels about as nice as the Razer Deathadder, with a similar style and shape.

The sensor on this mouse has three settings, controlled by a DPI switch on the top of the mouse, and those settings are, in order of most sensitive to least sensitive: 600DPI, 1000DPI and 1600DPI. The mouse feels very nice on all settings, and though some people play at 300-400DPI, I rarely see anybody that needs higher than 1600DPI, so this mouse should encompass the majority of people's sensitivity needs.

As far as buttons and handedness go, the mouse is nearly symmetrical, other than that the fourth and fifth mouse buttons are on the left side, so if you're left handed you may have some trouble using the extra buttons. Other than that minor detail, the mouse is laid out in a way that makes sense. Not only do you have the continuous mouse button design that makes clicking from any manner of mouse-holding quick and easy, you've also got a very nice set of sidebuttons, to the point where they feel like the actual left and right mouse buttons, which is something I really like.

One really amazing feature that you don't see often in an optical mouse is the ability to connect via USB 3.0, giving you a major competitive edge over people using USB 2.0 connections for their mouse. This extra speed is a difference you can actually feel, and as this mouse has no special driver software and is simply recognized as soon as you plug it into a USB 2.0 or 3.0 slot, there's no fiddling you have to do with any kind of drivers to get it working either way.

Overall, this is an amazing gaming mouse, especially for the price. My only minor complaint with it, which I've saved for last because it may just be me, is that the plastic seems to collect some sort of grimy residue on it after long periods of continuous use, and since my keyboard isn't doing the same, it leads me to believe that it may be something to do with the type of plastic used. Other than that minor detail, I'd say if you're looking for an amazing gaming mouse and you don't want to spend $100+ on a top-of-the-line logitech mouse, go for this. Even if you're looking for something on the level of quality with the Razer Deathadder and Corsair M65 RGB, go for this. You'll be saving yourself lots of money, and you'll probably prefer this in the end anyway.

Looks nice, but one major problem rends it useless
September 24, 2017
It right-clicks, left-clicks and scrolls, but it will not track on the screen no matter what port gets used or device. I wanted to like it after reading reviews here, but if the mouse will not track movement, then it isn't a good purchase. I emailed the seller, so hopefully this can be resolved effectively. UPDATE: Got a response quickly from the seller for a replacement, so props to them for that. I'll post the final review once I get the replacement.
Very Good Budget Mouse
August 23, 2017
This was my first step into owning a gaming mouse and it was nice and did the job and really gave the feel of a gaming mouse. I loved the colors pulsing and rotating (you couldn't set one color though) and the way it fit in my hand was nice (I have large hands). I used this for about 6 months before it started to show obvious wear.It was definitely a cheap mouse and great, and i mean great for a budget gamer! This mouse would be great for kids and for a young aspiring PC gamer. I think that you get what you pay for, and this is definitely worth a try.It just recently broke on me from overuse, the left mouse click stop clicking and I had to get rid of the mouse unfortunately. But it was great while i had it!
Great Budget Mouse For Casual Gaming
July 16, 2017
As a gaming mouse it has the look, but not the customization. Now, I'm a casual gamer and don't need anything too complicated. As for the look... love it. The lighting isn't programmable but is okay as it's a "breathing" effect. The hand feel and function is where this mouse shines! The mouse feels great in the hand and feels solid. The USB cord is braded and at 1.7 meters (5ft 5in) it is long but not too long. In summery; is it the greatest gaming mouse in the world... no. Is it the best value mouse that I've come across... without a doubt!
Proper review
July 13, 2017
Ok so I finally have a review for this, opposed to when I just got itThis mouse is very interesting, the color changes I love, and the speed on the mouse is smooth, and than rapid just a click of a button... the one issue i have with the mouse is the wheel. I use it a lot and now I have to look for a new mouse because this one gets stuck or just doesn't recognize when I use the wheelOverall I would recommend it to anyone who likes color changes but if you like to zoom in and out a lot on Games don't expect it to last long before your zooming in to much and can't zoom out with fustration
Affordable gaming mouse
April 4, 2017
I wanted a decent mouse for a really affordable price. Not much of a gamer but the feel of the mouse is great. It is comfortable in hand and glides well. Can change DPI sensitivity easily with the push of a button. The usb cable is long enough to reach a tower set on the ground and feels durable. It's got cool color changing properties. My only issues with it is sometimes when I put my computer to sleep, the mouse's light stays on. I wish there was a way to customize what color light it stays on rather than random. So light controls would make this a 5 star for me. The forward and backwards buttons on the side does mess with my mind a little since I have another wireless mouse that has same buttons but reversed functionality so if I was able to control that setting as well, would be awesome.
Great cheap mouse for beginners or casual gamers
July 23, 2016
I've had this mouse for a little over a year, and its been an excellent purchase. The price is extremely cheap compared to it's competitors, (I got this mouse for $10) which makes it perfect for people who are just getting into PC gaming or for those who like playing games but don't want to spend $60+ on a fancy gaming mouse (Razor Deathadder, Logitech G502, for example). The buttons work well and the DPI is easy to adjust. The overall mouse design is also cool, it fits my hand well and keeps it in a comfortable position. However, some of the things I didn't like include how you can't control the colors of the mouse. Based on the pictures I thought you could chose one color and have it stay on that, instead the mouse cycles through the colors it offers. When I first got the mouse I would always press the DPI button on accident causing my cursor to fly all over the screen and I would have to readjust the DPI. As time went on I taught myself to never touch that button. Finally, after one year of use I can notice the right click of the mouse sometimes not working at all, making this mouses' lifespan a little shorter compared to others.Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone getting into PC gaming or anyone who doesn't want to spend a ton of money on an expensive mouse. I do wish you had a choice of what color the mouse is, however that's really the biggest complaint I have. If you are looking for a mouse that is cheap, colorful, and can last a good amount of time, this is the mouse for you.

Great budget mouse
July 3, 2017
For the price, this is a great mouse and does what it says it will do.

The lighting is pretty unnecessary but you can turn it off via a switch. Adjustable DPI allows me to game comfortably and be able to turn it down if someone else needs to use my mouse. The scroll wheel has a nice touch and has light bumps when you scroll making it feel more responsive. The mouse is heavier then many out there which is bad since the weight is very noticeable if you're doing anything for a long period of time or need the mouse to snap to a position. Because it's meant to be used by both hands, it doesn't fit perfectly well but it does have curves in the right places to negate some of the uncomfortable feeling but it doesn't work well if you have large hands. Using it for two years, the mouse still works perfectly fine. For a mouse at this price, it works very well.
It's also pretty comfortable, and the lights are a nice touch
April 22, 2017
This mouse is really solid. FPS games are easier to handle with the DPI setting set to high and not having to constantly adjust sensitivity in Windows or in-game. It's also pretty comfortable, and the lights are a nice touch, especially when using the computer in the dark.
However, at night if I don't turn off my computer the lights on the mouse have no on/off switch, so we have to cover up the mouse because the LEDs are really bright.

Overall it's been a very enjoyable mouse for the price.
Overall good mouse for the amount you're paying.
January 23, 2016
When I was in desperate need of a cheap, more comfortable mouse than the one dell packages with their computers, I spent a long while on amazon for a new mouse. I saw this one and looked at customer reviews and such for a while before buying it, as I always do. I never like to buy something I wont like. So I ordered it, it came in the mail after a few days, as most amazon products do. I am going to give a list of the pro's and con's to make it easier. I've owned this mouse for a few months shy of a year, so I know it pretty well.

Pros:
-Its actually pretty comfortable, despite the looks and initial thought.
-It is cheap, and who doesn't love cheap products?
-The scroll wheel doesn't go insane I use it, its very controlled if you only want to scroll a little, but you can easily scroll fast as well.
-DPI changes, huge change. When I browse the web, it's great to have it on its medium setting, indicated by the strength of the light. When I'm playing a game such as CS:GO, I prefer it's lowest setting so I am more accurate.

Cons:
-LED lights hurt the eyes when its night time and dark where you're gaming, or trying to be more subtle, and the inability to turn the lights off without unplugging the mouse is a pain.
-Drivers to set up the mouse's two side buttons weren't included. It was very difficult to find drivers online as well.
-The loud mouse clicks drive my family and I crazy. The problem became very apparent when I tried to play games, especially mouse-heavy ones when other people in the house were trying to watch a movie or such.

Summary: Very good mouse for the amount you're paying. I would recommend this if you have limited options or the pro's and con's I listed suit you well. Good for gamers and workers, probably less-so in an office setting. I was not sent this to review, and these are my honest opinions on the mouse.
Overall Pleased Apple iMac User
January 9, 2016
Very simple setup with Apple iMac computer. Plugged in and basic functions were good to go. Entered the Mission Control settings to configure the two (left) side buttons; Mouse Button 4 and Mouse Button 5 respectively, to bring up Mission Control and the Dashboard the way I like. Mouse size and design seem comfortable upon first impressions. DPI button seems to have only two modes; dim for slower and more precise control, and bright for faster tracking. Nonetheless, the mouse seems to be on-par with what I was looking for, so overall pleased. LED-lit transparent areas are a nice touch, though not essential.
great for the money
January 2, 2016
This mouse is great for the money and does exactly what it needs to

Pros:
- lighting is nice and bright
- buttons have a solid click to them, a little stiffer than some other mice but very nice
- tracks nicely on a mousepad
- adjustable DPI
- scroll wheel has slight detents in it so it ha almost a light click/bump feeling as scrolling
- plug and play, no need to set anything up

Cons:
- mouse is a little wide and shape isn't as nice as some other mice I have. but it is also only $11, not $70 like my logitech G502
- no way to know what DPI setting you are on quickly, but it is easy to adjust
- forward/back shortcut buttons near the thumb do not work for forward/back with a Mac
- scroll wheel does not roll as nicely as other mice, but still great for $11
- for being a right hand mouse with the location of the buttons on the thumb pad, the overall shape is a too ambidextrous which leads to it being a little wide and not as comfortable
- cable is not a braided cable, but at $11, this really is not a big deal

Overall, this is a pretty darn nice mouse for $11. I think if I would have gone with the $15 one it would have solved most of the cons as the shape on that one looks better, it has the braided cable, it has different lighting for the DPI settings. Although I enjoy my Logitech G502 leaps and bounds more than this mouse, it would not be a fair comparison to compare them as this is a great $11 budget mouse and the Logitech is a $70+ gaming mouse. I would say if you need a mouse for everyday use, this one of the $15 one from Etekcity is a great buy and will serve the purpose wonderfully; but i would say splurge a little to get the $15 one as it has a better shape and a few features that address the cons I have with model

The mouse is comfortable enough, but only as a placeholder while you ...
September 6, 2017
The mouse is comfortable enough, but only as a placeholder while you save up for a better mouse. The mouse has a DPI button that work well and is appreciated, but the expected grip isnt what i would expect. As usual the thumb rests on the side, the index finger rests on the M1 Button, middle on the scroll wheel (which is odd to me) and the rind finger on M2, leaving the pinky finger resting on groove on the right side of the mouse, which is uncomfortable at best. Definitely worth the money (7.99 when i bought it) but I do not recommend as a long term option
Good but not long lasting
July 31, 2017
This was a decent mouse, and I liked it. I wish i could control the lighting feature, set it to one solid color rather than have is perpetually in a breathe color wheel, but it's not bad. It's a good shape, comfortable in my hand, and with a cool design. However, I've had this for just over half a year, and the scroll wheel no longer works. It's irritating how quickly that wore out. Otherwise, good product.
Stops working out after a while
July 27, 2017
Ive had this mouse for almost a month now and it worked perfectly at first, but after a while of playing it seems to not sense fast movements in the mouse, also the DPI button also starts going out too. This is a problem for Gaming but if your using it for work or something like that, then it shall work fine.
Stopped working after a year. Havit download page non-existent.
July 21, 2017
Have had this mouse for probably over a year. Used it with no complaints. For the last month, I've had random USB connects and disconnects where my PC would freeze up for a few seconds. Finally narrowed it down to just the mouse connecting and disconnecting. Went to the site to download drivers and it was pulled offline. Mouse is not usable after about a year, which is something I've never run into. For the price, I guess a year isn't bad but mice are cheap and I expect a good, long life out of one.
You get what you pay for
April 15, 2017
Got this because I wanted a cheap mouse for my laptop. It does the job. Need a mouse pad though. The grip is comfortable, however I wouldn't call this a gaming mouse. Sure the lights are flashy, but that's about it. It is super light compared to my Corsair M65. Honestly I shouldn't compare the two at all. At least I won't be sad when it breaks given the low price.
Decent Mouse for the Money
August 23, 2016
For the money this is a decent mouse. I've been using it for a week or so and have been getting used to it. Coming from Logitech and Razor mice this one is pretty light weight, but it does have good DPI. It doesn't raise into my hand much, so other than being wider than most, I'm not so sure I'd call it ergonomic. I have issues gripping it to stop it from moving when I try to press a button. I often find myself right clicking when I don't want to. The only thing that has really upset me about this mouse are the forward and back buttons. On every other mouse I've had the more forward button has been forward and the button that is further back has been the back button. I use these buttons a lot while browsing the web and using windows explorer and have not found a way to switch them yet.If I could find a way to fix the buttons this could be a 4 star mouse, add some weight to that and maybe a 5.

Its Alright !
May 14, 2017
This mouse does look cool and I think it was reasonably priced. After purchasing the mouse worked well, but its been a year since I have had this mouse and now its giving up on me.

I am a little old school, believe that a products quality should be based on how long it lasts. This does not fall into that category.
Blinded by the light
April 21, 2016
It's impossible to turn off the blue LED lights on it. They look great during the day, but when it's dark/dimly lit, it's like having a spotlight in your eyes.

That said, the mouse works as well as I'd expect any wired optical mouse to work, so no complaints on that end!
Minor annoyances but decent substitute mouse
March 30, 2016
I've had this mouse for a few months now and it's honestly an okay mouse for the price.

It's definitely a bit larger than I expected and feels somewhat awkward when gripping it at times. It also never shuts off the LED regardless if the computer is turned off or not. I'm not sure if that's how mice with LEDs behave or not but my old SWTOR Razer mouse did not do that but it's just a minor annoyance.

It's a good replacement or backup mouse but I wouldn't recommend for any intense gaming. I only bought this as my previously mentioned mouse died on me and just needed something quick to hold me over till I find a nicer one.
like having a flashlight in my face
May 27, 2015
Taking off two stars for the lighting alone. Didn't think this would be an issue since I've used lit mouses before but it's awful.

Had to put electrical tape over it within two minutes of using. The lighting is uneven and unfortunately extra bright in the corner that is aimed at my eyeballs. It was blindingly bright, like having a flashlight in my face. Minus one star.

To my shock I discovered the light stays on when my PC is powered off. Bad enough it is one while the PC sleeps, probably using more watts than the new low-power sleep states do. But to even use watts (and worst of all light the room like a disco) when powered off is unreal.

Wish I could give this a better rating because it functions fine, 1600 dpi, great price. I would not buy this again though.
Good for the money.
June 2, 2014
I have to have spare mice on hand for the office I support and was running low. In-spite of some minor reservations, I purchased 4 of these for my department. After seeing a slight defect in the first one I pulled out of the box, I inspected and tested all 4 on OSX Mavericks

Pro:
The mouse is no more or less sturdy than any other cheap plastic mouse, the fit and finish seem more than reasonable for the price.
It tracks fine, and all buttons work out of the box.
The DPI selector is handy for designers and gamers. You can toggle to/from fine mode.
Given the quality and price, it seems reasonable at under 10 dollars if the following cons do not affect you.

Cons:
Blue LED is very bright (this may be a pro for some) and gaudy (that's subjective I know), there's no way to dim it or turn it off.
The product description states: "Symmetrical And Ergonomic Design, Suitable for Both Right And Left Hands; Forward and Backward Function Designed on the Left Side"
My hand measures 7.75" from the top of my wrist to the tip of my longest finger, and about 4.2" wide. I found that the mouse feels unnatural in my hand, its form seems more arbitrary than ergonomic.
As for its suitability for left and right handed users (which was also a selling point form me), the mouse is only semi-symetrical. Lefties will have to use their pinky or ring finger (provided they are dexterous enough) to use the fwd and backward buttons.
Lastly, one of the mice shipped with a missing friction pad(foot). Not that big a deal, and Amazon makes it easy enough for me to return the defective one, but if you are ordering these in bulk, check the other reviews to get a sense of Etekcity's quality control.

Final thoughts: this is a fine choice for right handed folks who want a cheap mouse with adjustable DPI settings and loud aesthetics, but I would not recommend it for lefties or for folks who like things a bit more understated (or less blaring).

September 24, 2017
If you want just a cheap crappy mouse this is the one for you. If you don't then go looking somewhere else. This mouse has two big problems which are the scroll wheel and the finger resting spots. First of the scroll wheel does notwork probably half of the time if not more. It is very annoying trying to a RTS and not being able to scroll in and out of the map to see various levels. On top of that it feels awful, the wheel is not locked into place whatsoever. Then there's the resting spots for your fingers. Where you rest your middle to pinky is just awful and feels awkward. Then you're thumb is forced to sit next to these clunky side buttons and into this weird divot. The only things this mouse has going for it is that one it is cheap and two the changing colors is sorta cool but even the design of this looks dumb but I guess it's all a matter of perspective. So if you want to cheap out on a mouse this one is right up your ally. But if you care for comfort and usability spend an extra $15-$20 on a better quality one.
Bad ergonomics
July 14, 2017
My wrist is hurting after using this mouse for five minutes. The size is too big for a medium sized hand, and the base is too big, making it hard to move the pointer.I felt that the ergonomics of this mouse is pretty bad. However, the changing color of lighting is very pleasing. I wish I can keep it, but it is getting sent back.
Decent Mouse, a couple Flaws.
June 21, 2017
This is a good mouse if you are on a tight budget. I think the reason that I didn't like this mouse, is because I had played with an expensive mouse for the previous couple years to buying this one, and the slightly heavier weight and more programmable DPI setting may have spoiled me a little bit. I tried to play with this mouse, and I still have it as a backup in case something goes wrong, but it was just too light, and didn't have enough DPI setting for me personally.
Bluescreens and crashes.
December 4, 2016
I wanted to wait a good while to finally write a review about this product. For the first week of using it everything was great, awesome lighting effect, cool design, bigger than my old mouse. The problem is, after a week of using it I kept getting blue screens and my computer crashing, I had to do startup repairs and Norton scans and when I thought things were okay, it crashed again. I even got a new computer and plugged the mouse into that one, same thing. It blue screened and crashed after a few days of using it. Since then I have stopped using it and everything has been great, it really sucks that it doesn't work properly. My first awesome mouse ever, and it's defective or something :( 3/10
Flimsy
February 10, 2016
The mouse is large and nicely shaped, fits well in my hand and feels nice, but after less than a week, the scroll wheel is already malfunctioning. I did not drop it or do anything to it that would cause a malfunction, but whenever I try to scroll down, the page just jerks up and down and will not scroll very far. I am very dissatisfied with the flimsiness of this product if it is going to break down after about six days of use. Would not buy again.
Looks Cool, but Difficult to Use
December 5, 2015
The mouse looks nice - somewhat reminiscent of the Diablo games or Daedric weapons from the Elder Scrolls games. The colors cycle continuously with a fade-in/fade-out effect. Some may like that, but I was hoping I could select the color I wanted. The bigger issue is that it just feels awkward, and I can never get a comfortable grip on it. I have large hands, so the mouse feels too light, and my thumb completely covers both of the side buttons for backward and forward web navigation. The sides are plastic and a bit slippery. I was frequently pressing those and jumping around in the browser. The other problem I experienced was that the scroll wheel was not reliable. I would scroll down and it looked like the page was slipping because it would often jump back up. Others may have better luck with it, but it simply did not work for me.I switched to a Logitech M510 during this review (already used those before), and it just works. It's heavier, has padded sides for a good grip, and my thumb fits *below* the side buttons, not over them. I would recommend the M510 to someone with large hands, but the best approach is to buy in a store where you can touch a demo model, if possible.

Not as good as I hoped it would be
December 26, 2015
This review is for the Etekcity Scroll S200 mouse. I purchased from Amazon at the same time a second, very similar mouse (SODEE® 112 Ergonomic mouse), to be used with a second computer. The two mice appear to be designed and function the same, and are the same size and shape. But, they're not equal. The sides of the Sodee mouse are made of a (rubber-like) material, which helps ensure a constant grip. By comparison, the sides of the Etekcity mouse are made of the same plastic material as found on the top of the mouse, which feels slick and makes it harder to keep my hand in an optimal position. I found that I was continually having to adjust the grip and/or hold the mouse tighter. Perhaps this is a personal preference. I decided to return the Etekcity mouse and buy another Sodee 112 mouse.
Wish I weren't so disappointed
November 9, 2015
I bought the S200 to replace my Etekcity Scroll R1, which is an older model of this mouse. I bought the Scroll R1 last year and I guess I enjoyed using it too much, because the scroll wheel stopped responding and broke. Despite that my R1 lasted less than a year, if I could, I would buy it again simply because it was so comfortable and worked so well. I can't say the same for the S200. Whereas the R1 was a steal for the price, the S200 is more like a lesson in cheaping out.

Positives:
- For an ambidextrous mouse, the contours on the side of the S200 body do help it to be more comfortable.
- ON/OFF button for the LED
- very responsive

Negatives:
- forward/back button placing is not as streamlined as the R1, possibly due to the face that the S200 is ambidextrous whereas the R1 was right hand only. For the S200, I have to move my thumb back and forth more in order to press the buttons, whereas for the R1, I could practically twitch my thumb to get a response.
- height of the scroll wheel - The scroll wheel is made of a nice rubber-like material to give it grip, but it is placed slightly too high. I have to move my ring finger a whole lot more to scroll with the S200.
- materials of construction of the mouse, especially when compared to the older R1. I'm disappointed that the entire exterior of the S200 is plastic because it's a little too slick and cheap feeling for my liking. The R1 was made of a matte rubber-like (but not sticky) material that gave it a good amount of grip without being too grippy.

That said, one major positive that the S200 has going for it over the R1 is that there's an ON/OFF button for the LED, since my R1 was pretty dang bright. Aside from that, I wouldn't recommend this mouse. Maybe one of the other models would have been a better replacement for me. I LOVED using the R1 and I really wish I could say the same for the S200, but I can't. I'm just moving my fingers around a lot more to perform the same tasks and it doesn't feel that great to hold.
For Etekcity Scroll S200
October 30, 2015
This review is for Etekcity Scroll S200: High Precision 2400 DPI Wired USB Optical Symmetrical Gaming Mouse.
I ordered this mouse as a replacement for my old logictech G3 Gaming mouse. First of all, I know I should not compare the two mouses consider the huge price tag difference, however, I do expect it to have 2400 DPI with adjustable DPI button. After some testing method I found online, I tested around 600 DPI and the DPI button does nothing but turn the LED on the button on/off.
Other then the disappointing non-adjustable DPI by click, the mouse actually feel quite nice on the hand and the click and scroll all work smoothly, if you do not care about changing DPI instantly, this is an ok mouse.

nice mouse altho i didn't expect the usb plug to be big, i guess this mouse is more for desktop than laptop users
and i got the old version of the s200 i guess (tho thought i was getting the new ones) so now cant turn off the led light

*update* have to lower my rating on this mouse because after using it for 2 days, i actually can't sleep with it plug in because the LED is so bright, wish they didnt send people older models if they going to be showing a picture of a mouse that have a LED on/off switch, not to mention even in the item description saying "Blue attractive LED backlight gamer design.Sliding the switch can turn ON or OFF the LED on bottom of the mouse"
Cable is stiff and annoying
May 21, 2015
I saw in some reviews where a cord with cloth material was mentioned - I did not get one like this. The mouse I received has a plastic encased cord that is semi-stiff. Because it is not suitably pliable, moving the mouse an inch or two causes the cable to move two to four inches. If you have a computer or books or something else on your desk, the cord hang on it which in turns increases the amount effort it takes to move the mouse which leads to arm/wrist fatigue. Furthermore, the cable is still bent with packaging creases which I presume will eventually relax, but this means that when I move the mouse, I am currently moving close to 18 inches of folded cable.

Interesting how one crappy component effectively ruins what is otherwise a good thing. Thumbs down, recommend that you find something better or await confirmation that you will get a version of the mouse with decent cabling.

Broken on arrival, no company response.
October 6, 2017
While I received the product very quickly, upon plugging it in the mouse does absolutely nothing. Moving, clicking, there is no response with my computer. The lights will turn on, but since I didn't order an LED lamp, that doesn't help me much. As this is a plug and play mouse, there are no drivers, and the item is merely defective. This normally wouldn't be that big an issue for me, but my email to the company was not answered, so I was forced to leave this score.
Doesn't work.
September 20, 2017
Bought this for a friend and it doesn't work. The mouse won't move the cursor and it says the product is ineligible for return even though we bought it and tested it just a few days ago and it doesn't work.

Half of the lights didn't work, it was the most uncomfortable mouse I have ever used, the pointer would freeze on the screen every couple seconds, AND they would not allow me to return it... DO NOT BUY! I'd say either I got a defective one, or most of the reviews are fake... Due to the "no return policy", I'm leaning towards the theory that the reviews are fake.
Mouse doesn't work very well
August 7, 2017
The mouse itself is not very ergonomic. It's really big and combined with all the weird angles on it makes for a very uncomfortable grip. The DPI settings are pretty pointless and the mouse wheel is already starting to make odd sounds. The back and forward button placement is not in a good place either, have to move my whole hand to be able to reach the forward button. I wouldn't buy this again and would not recommend this product to anyone.

Did not allow for smooth glide during quick swipes. Almost as if the mouse was lagging during long lateral swipes. Overall okay mouse for daily use, but does not achieve its advertised capabilities.

It has a few bugs
February 16, 2017
***7/1/17 UPDATE***
It's gotten beyond annoying at this point. The scrolling is incredibly fidgety and barely follows where I want it to navigate. If I brush my finger on it just slightly, it will quickly scroll up or down. The cursor still drops to the bottom right corner of the screen randomly. It's really frustrating at this point but it was cheap so I guess that justifies the quality of it sadly.

***2/16/17 REVIEW BELOW - THREE STARS***
I've had this mouse for roughly two years to replace a basic Logitec mouse that failed on me after a year. This mouse works well but it will occasionally jitter, scroll, or cause the cursor to dive to the bottom right corner on its own. I don't know what causes it to do so. The issue isn't severe enough for me to replace it, but it is annoying though. It might bother someone who is very precise with their clicks. The blue lights around the mouse must be switched on/off manually, it does not shut off with the computer which is also cumbersome so I just keep it off. I wouldn't recommend this mice personally unless you're looking for that blue glow aesthetic.
not good after 90days
March 26, 2016
I bought this mouse at the December 19, 2015 and although I was originally pleased with the mouse the right clicker has started giving problems.
Almost exactly 90days. I am a casual gamer that mostly uses the mouse for school and work. Very disappointing. I am currenty in contact with company to see about getting a replacement.
Horrible mouse, wish I could still get a refund.
February 1, 2016
One of the lights in the DPI button don't work, so switching between the 4 settings looks like I'm only switching between 2 settings and I can't immediately tell which one I'm on. Also the scroll wheel has started malfunctioning so it's basically useless. It will send me all over a page no matter what direction I try to go. This was a very cheap mouse and very disappointing.

November 22, 2015
Two mice two fails. I tried this on a laptop and on a desk top computer both gaming quality machines. One was an i5 the laptop and the desktop was an i7. After an hour or two it just stopped working. You could get out of the game, unplug the mouse then plug it in again and it would be fine but that certainly is a fail when doing just about anything. Sending them back for something different. Operating systems were Windows 7 and 10.
The description of this item is just plain wrong
August 14, 2015
DO NOT believe the description of this mouse being symmetrical, suitable for left or right handers, etc. It's simply not true. The thumb buttons are on the LEFT side of the mouse ONLY, and unless your hand is built differently from mine, if you're left-handed (as I am) this means the THUMB buttons are under your second and third fingers, and not visible while you're using the mouse.

Amazon, I think the description of the mouse that you have up ranks as deceptive advertising, and I recommend that you get it rewritten, and be quick about it! I'm sure you can find a left-handed member of staff to try one out for you...
