Very nice hose. No chemical smell whatsoever. Separate nut connects to the spigot, so when you tighten the connection, the body of the hose does not rotate/get crooked. As the result - no leaks unlike the Flexon "contractor grade" from Costco that had its outside cover split and leak at the valve junction.

To the people that say it kinks, I thought the samething when I first opened the package, felt flimsy, etc...But when I turned the water on, the hose was very solid and never kinked on me, GREAT product!!

Love the easy screw on tabs. I can't understand why all hoses don't have this connection. Big fan of this hose.

I like this hose. I have had it for 3 years now. No problems whatsoever with it. It's a good hose. I live in New Bern NC. The weather doesn't go below freezing often but it does. It is also very humid here in the warmer months as well. The hose has been holding up great. And I like the color of the hose. It really complements the colors on my house. I need to order 2 more of these for my other 2 spigots.

I have only been using this for a few months but it has worked very well for me. I am always pulling it out and putting it away and still has held its neverkink quality. The hose is very durable and I have had no issues with water leaking at the attachments. Before you order make sure that 25 feet will work for you. 25 ft sounds like a lot but if you are washing cars with it, the hose can fall short. I made that mistake and have to of these connected together for a total of 50 ft and I love them. Best hose I have ever used. Ever other hose I have ever used always kinks up, but not this one.

We bought this to replace a standard garden hose after reading about lead in standard hoses. We have 2 little kids who love to play in the sprinkler and with their water table, so I wanted to get a hose that was drinking water safe. We had to buy another one of these hoses this year because we had left the sprayer nozzle attached all winter and were unable to remove it, so now we have 2. The white is useful in spotting the hose in the grass. Amazon had the best price on 50 ft size. Works well and hopefully I won't have to buy another for a few years.

I brought this hose because it was advertised not to kink. My old hoses were always in knots. This hose seems to work as advertised so far.

A little on the heavy side. I hope it stand the test of time and really NeverKinks unlike what other reviewers say.

Something must have been wrong with mine. I had to return it. It leaked badly around the coupling that goes to the faucet no matter how tight I made it. My old garden hose doesn't do that.Update: I'm retracting the 1 star and giving it 4. I bought another hose locally and it also leaked. It's obviously the washer or another issue rather than the hose. The Apex house looked great. The only thing I didn't like was the plastic by the coupling where it connects to the faucet.

Years ago I bought a commercial grade 5/8" rubber hose to fit on my hose reel. This hose has been a pain to use, as it's heavy & is constantly kinking. My search for a lightweight kink resistant hose found this.The pros:+ The shipping was free when I purchased mine.+ Drinking water safe.+ Nice clean white color with a blue stripe.+ Light weight.+ Resists kinking.+ Easy to rewind on my hose reel.The cons:- On the expensive side for 1/2" x 50' hose.- The hose has a funky plastic piece molded on to the female fitting. I'm sure it's to increase the ease of use, but I find it annoying. I'd be happier with the plain old brass only fitting & I may opt to cut it off.Overall, I'm happy with this hose. It much lighter than the old commercial grade rubber hose I was using + it doesn't kink! :)If you use quick connect hose fitting, there's no advantage in going any larger than a 1/2" hose.► Update - May 27, 2014I decided to cut off that piece of plastic on the female fitting. Under that plastic was the standard brass fitting. :)► Update - November 20, 2014I've been very happy with this hose, so when I saw it was on sale for $17.87 + free shipping I had to buy one for the backyard hose reel!

I like the hose and its claim to not kink is true. However after reading a lot of the reviews about it being so light I was surprised that when full of water it is not that easy to maneuver or roll up even when empty.Having said that I am 60 and disabled so I dont have a lot of pulling strength. For someone with moderate physical abilities I think this hose would be fine and much much better than any other hoses on the market and belive me I've tried a lot of them. Another big plus is that duue to the materials used in its construction water is much safer to drink for a human, a animal, or even watering your garden vegetables.Even the "Pocket Hose" which is indeed light and perfect as far as weight for some one with my extent of disability seemed perfect but it lasted less than a week before bursting. Lots of stories all over about that.

I have several of the 1/2 inch size in this brand/model and they have been serving me well for over 6 months. I use them in the yard as regular garden hose in an attempt to put less toxic water on my plants and such. This one I am using to run cold water to my washing machine in the shed, and it's working well so far (a few weeks). I have kept my others under pressure, out in the sun, and had no problems. I like that they un-kink easily and don't hold the kinks after straightening (they resume their normal shape instead of staying "crimped"). I do think they could improve the anti-kink collar where the hose hooks to the faucet. The one on the 1/2" hose is too flexible and the one on this size hose is too stiff. Run lots of potable water through this before you attempt to drink any water from it.We didn't run any water through it at first, and our water tasted like yucky chemicals for days. I would suggest running fresh, clean, potable wateer through it for a good 20-25 minutes before putting it into use.It unrolled really easy, but isn't all that flexible.Contrary to the brand name, it does kink.I'm not sure how they define 'NeverKink', but it's just not true. As we unrolled it, it kinked a few times trying to straighten it out.We needed it right then, so I wasn't able to return it.

Connection seems a bit cheap... We'll see if it holds up.

I had the pleasure of using this hose within days of it's arrival. Water coming from it does not have a plastic smell or "rubber taste", it is clean, clear water.This hose is a bit thinner than my previous hose, and while it may not KINK when it is stretched out, it does collapse if you get it in a bind or around a tight corner. I had it running around a 90-deg corner, and after pressure was released, the hose collapsed in on itself. When pressure was restored, the collapsed portion could not restore it's shape until I physically straightened the hose.I'm sure the 5/8" hose may do better (my old hose was 5/8"), and this one does it's job... just be aware the walls are thin and it will "pinch" when you get it into a bind or around a harsh corner.

It gets left out in the sun (it IS a hose for an RV) and the water tastes like it came through a plastic hose which is something I don't recall with many earlier hoses. One side of the story is that yes it is new. The other is that hopefully it is a temporary new hose syndrome. It is nice and heavy so I do hope that taste will go away fairly soon - luckily I was able to put a carbon filter on the outlet end and clean up that taste. If it improves without the filter, then this will be a 5 star item

Two stars because it lasted for almost two months. Seriously?!! Don’t buy! You’ve been WARNED!!Then again, you get what you pay for so... Not even worth it to put on a new connector. Go for a thicker hose. It’s more expensive, but the connectors and hose itself are more durable.

Hose corroded at the metal parts. The plastic that you twist arrived marred, and the hose has kinked several times. Maybe I got a defective one but if not, perhaps you're better off looking elsewhere.

It Kinks..

I should have "read between the lines" on the description. After having one of those flexi-hoses that I loved but they only last 6 months, I bought this one. They are honest. It will never kink, because its made out of cement! Not really, but it is the stiffest, most inflexible hose I have ever owned.

I'm very disappointed with this hose after 3 months of use. It was absolutely perfect for my use and exactly the right size, it also never kinked. When using this product with an attachable device like a water wand, the brass piece at the end starts to loosen and eventually comes off, leaving you with a useless hose which can't screw onto any watering nozzle. The only redeeming quality is that Amazon is letting me return it for a full refund after this long of a period due to the lifetime warranty included. For that reason I'm going to give it 2 stars, but I highly recommend getting a hose made in the USA like the platinum flexgen hose from Gilmore if a larger diameter is ok for your needs.

Used it probably 12 times. Leaks out of the crimped male end... just like all the other 1 star reviews. Obviously a manufacturing flaw if so many people have the exact same issue.

I have owned other NeverKink products and have been very happy. Unfortunately I cant say the same for this product. Second time using and it is leaking already. I think it’s a manufacturing defect. Hopefully they do right by there product. Will update if they do.

Bought in June used maybe 4 separate times and leaks from one end. Not just a small trickle either, a good spray.

This hose started leaking around the brass fittings after 30 days. Now when I put a nozzle on, it sprays around the fitting getting the user all wet. Unfortunately, I am now outside of my return window.

We ordered the hose in February, but didn't use it until March. It leaked so badly the very first use, we were unable to use it. The return window closed before our first use, so we have lost our money.

Just 2 days outside the Amazon return date, this hose blew the brass attach point off. Never had that happen before. Obviously a factory defect. While the hose is good, the cheap brass parts they use are not. I will not buy this again, and you should avoid it.
