High quality hose
October 2, 2017
Rubber hoses are the best, I really like this product; it's just what I needed for a shorter hose requirement. Had one of those shrinking hoses to minimize size of hose, but it literally exploded after developing an "aneurism" in less than one season of use. Never buy one of those types again.
Great Hose
August 11, 2017
I've been using this hose for over a year to water the garden. Most of the time the hose is on with a shut off valve at the end. I've had no splitting. When it gets a kink you just turn the hose and the kink is gone. No having to walk yards to unkink and then get a bend in your hose. No more plastic hoses.

WOW-Can't believe a product is still made in the USA and is of "HIGH" quality. I give it a 10 star review.
Good quality
September 4, 2016
Compared to the all black rubber hose it is a little lighter and therefore better move-able. Water does not get that hot in the sun.Noticed that 25 ft is even short in a small garden but I did not want another >= 50ft. Heavy connectors, tight fit, no leaks.
Great hose for much less than big box stores!!!!
May 25, 2016
OK not sure if anyone else has done this. I am remodeling the basement. That being said I ran a new cold water line outside and then ran a new hot water line outside. I built an outdoor shower with a water spicket for bathing the dog. I have already used it for, yup you guessed it, not bathing the dog. Cleaning things, etc. I will be using it for the dog though... That being said it was a great hose for a great deal!!!!
Great if you need a short hose
November 9, 2015
I needed a short hose to install by the pool pump and filter. This hose was the perfect length and is easy to unroll/roll. It has stayed very flexible so far, but I've only had in for 3 months. We'll see how it looks/works next pool season. I expect it will be fine, though. No issues on this product. I would buy it again.

PERFECT FOR AN ICE MACHINE
September 3, 2017
I picked up this hose to use on an ice machine that we have outside. I initially had the machine hooked up to a new "regular" garden hose. Even though the ice machine has a filter, the ice still had that garden hose flavor. Let me tell you, that is a really funky taste to have in your tea!! I bought this hose and now the ice has no taste at all! I can not believe what a difference this hose made!! If you need a garden hose that will not have that nasty garden hose taste, this is the one!!!
Heavy Duty & Happy with Purchase
August 31, 2017
Purchased to replace a leaking hose we had for camping. We went with a 50' hose as we sometimes are short when hooking up and needed another hose to join to it. The connections are sturdy and should hold up for awhile. This is the second hose of this type we have. A cheaper hose was what leaked and was replaced with this. It has been hooked to our camper for the last week with no issues.
Genuinely Premium!
August 30, 2017
I have a need for a short hose, outside my back door, basically for filling up my dogs water bucket. I have for 21 years, used short hoses for this purpose. For 21 years, the "short" hoses sold at the big box stores have been lousy. They are stiff, hard to use because of that, and usually only last a year or so. Some of them have had metal fittings that corroded onto the hose bib, making removal a real challenge.

This Camco hose is relatively new so I cannot attest to its lifespan. But I am already greatly impressed by it. It has stainless steel fittings, very strong and well made. It has nice long springs at the ends to prevent kinking at the hose bib. It has total flexibilty, even in the early morning when the other hoses would be rigid as rebar, My wife loves the color (bonus points) and I find the length is more convenient than the typical 5' short hose from the big box stores. Highly recommended!
Good hose
July 8, 2017
Well, I really like it so far. My other hose got a leak where the female threaded fitting attaches to the metal crimped on piece of the hose (where it allows the fitting to rotate). This is common when the hose has been bent with a tight radius many times. This hose has the springs on either end. That is to prevent this type of leak from happening. This hose also seems to be fairly thick. I prefer my old 1/2'ID hose to this 5/8"ID hose because it insulates better. The OD of the insulation for both of them is the same, but the ID for the 1/2" is smaller, therefore it is thicker. It is just a small thing. I did manage to stretch my old insulation over this hose and it seems to be fine.
Great Color and Works Great Too
January 9, 2013
All safe hoses will kink. So simply expect that and un-kink it when it happens. We don't even want to water our fruit trees and plants with leaded hoses. Makes sense since we do eat the fruit. When you wrap or coil-up the hose after use, simply keep the water running through it to keep the hose fully expanded while coling it up, which will make the task easier.

Good sturdy hose

I don't give this hose five stars only because it kinks. However, to be fair, I knew it would before purchase. So far it serves my needs just fine. I will certainly follow up if it fails to deliver.
Apex 8695-25 Hose
April 1, 2017
I bought two 25ft hoses I only use one, but in case it breaks or goes bad, I have a backup or if I need more hose I can always attach the 2 anyway I do like the hose, good strong material rolls up nicely, good color. Definitely worth it and would most definitely purchase one again.

Not what i would consider heavy duty but it does hold form better than thinner hose. Quality connections but they might not hold up under abuse.
Good hose doesn't kink

It rolls up nicely and doesn't kink which is the biggest problem with most hoses. This is a great utility hose.

Goox quality hose
April 19, 2017
This is a nice hose. It looks nice and works well. I bought 2 of them and put them together for my garden. I have been through a few now and this seems to be the highest quality one ive found. I think all hoses kink sometimes but its nowhere near as bad as the last couple we had. Good buy and would recommend for sure.
So far so good.

Good quality hose. Doesn't kink for me. I'll update review if anything happens to this hose within 1 year of purchase.
Will last a long time!
August 19, 2016
I wound up buying this hose because the expandable hose I had bought three times kept bursting holes; those expandable hoses are great in many ways but very fragile and delicate. So I bought this hose which seems very strong. It won't spring a leak if you accidentally step on it or it catches on a little rock. It is working fine - it is just very inflexible and rather heavy. It gets twisted and then it is very hard to straighten out. But I feel, at least, this hose will last a long, long time.

July 25, 2016
I am using this hose as an extension hose from a faucet on the side of my house behind some bushes to a standalone spigot that is easier to access (my wife is arachnophobic). I wanted a hose that could be left under pressure and I couldn't find any 5/8'' PVC hosing, so I went with this because it is supposed to be extra durable. I was not at all concerned about the kinking because it is never coiled. It swelled up quite a bit under the pressure, so I am not too sure how long it will last, but it has lasted for about a month so far. I got it in June 2016 and I will update this post if it bursts. Until then, I'll give it four starts because it is doing it's job, for now.
Good quality, goodbye vinyl taste/odor
July 19, 2016
Better quality than others we have bought which still added vinyl taste to the water. It's a bit stiff and hard to handle, still tends to kink, but no vinyl taste/odor and is long enough to fit without having to connect two hoses.

Kinks easily
September 8, 2017
I want to love this hose. The fittings seem high quality, the blue color is nice, and it feels like a good quality hose. I do not love this hose though. It's just OK and I'll probably replace it.

I don't have any unexpected leaks or anything, but the hose seems to kink too easily. When I hook it up I need to turn on the pressure and try to open up the stiff kinks. I feel like I store it well. I coil it up and keep it stored in a plastic bin between uses. It has plenty of room in the bin and nothing is put on top of it. Sure enough, when I take it out there are a few flattened kinks in the hose. They don't just easily open up either. That's why I use the water pressure to help me.
Is not Anti-Kink. Just a hose.
April 20, 2017
This hose is just a hose. It says "anti-kink," well I bought two and both of them have kinked. That was one of the selling points for me. Other than that I suppose it works just like any other hose.
Stiff & kinky, but compliant for a slow, firm hand...
May 29, 2016
What? It's true.

Got this to replace my 100' garden hose when I realized I was watering my veggies with heavy metals. These only come in 50' so I got two. The coil memory in these hoses is *very strong*. First time I tried wrapping it up on the reel, it looked like spaghetti. As another user suggested, I filled it with water ans stretched it out straight. It helped quite a bit, but the hose is still aggravating to wrap on the reel. Maybe after time, it will relax (it's only been about a week).

The first thing I noticed is that it didn't leak at the spigot or the connection between the two hoses. Until I tried watering my plants. Because of the coil recall, you have to keep twisting the hose. and every twist means that the couplings come unscrewed. They are only about 1/4" deep, so you don't get much rotation on them before water is spewing everywhere.

Giving the hose 3 stars because it was super low cost in comparison to what I'm used to paying for hoses, and it shouldn't contribute to my declining IQ (I guess lead is expensive). They are also pretty light (without the lead to weigh them down?). I expect that prolonged use will make the hose more manageable. Meanwhile, I have to apply a good bit of force to keep the sprayer pointed the right way, and wrapping it up is a pain. Oh, and it kinks like nobody's business. But if you take your time to straighten it out, and don't yank it about, it works fine. You just need to babysit it by slowly straightening it out across the yard before trying to use it. Never use it any time your temper or patience is low.
Don't leave in the sun
February 24, 2016
This is being used as a stationary water hose connected to my boat water intake and the dock. It's a nice water hose right out of the box. The hardware fittings are very good and resist corrosion/weathering. However, after only a couple months the surface of the hose started to fade. Now, after 8 months it looks like it's been left in the sun for 5 years. If you're planning on using this and keeping it nice then keep it out of the elements. The price was entirely reasonable and it still supplies water just fine so I'm content with it for now.
No "hose" taste - durable
July 7, 2015
Great RV hose for potable water. No hose taste compared to the cheap white potable water hoses. Doesn't leak. Does not uncoil very easily.

Forward 4 years - the hose continues to be difficult to work with and has developed a couple of twists/kinks. The 10' version has not linked yet.

Leaks By Design
June 10, 2017
The end of the hose has a small hex on it but it is too small to hold with your hand while attaching a nozzle and any nozzle you put on will leak. The hose itself is great but the end ruins it unless you want to carry around a wrench when installing nozzles.
Permanently Kinked
May 7, 2017
We took our RV out for the first time *ever* last weekend, making it the first time we've used it. It worked great that first time, and we rolled it up (like one would roll a typical hose). We're getting ready to go on another trip this week, and was reorganizing the storage area, we pulled out the hose, and noticed it has permanent kinks in it. We only took the packaging off 11 days ago!!
Couldn't even get the hose hooked up
June 7, 2016
Wasn't please with it at all. I know this is going to sound crazy but I couldn't even get this hose hooked up to the water spigot. It would not thread onto the spigot no matter what I tried. The cheap hose that I had on there threaded on fine and I wound up buying another hose, to replace this one, and that one threaded fine as well. I wasn't happy with this hose at all.
Too bad, pretty color.
July 7, 2015
I ordered the 50 foot and the 10 foot at the same time. The 10 foot was missing a washer so I had to supply my own. The 50 foot had the female end on it, but there was no device to clamp it on the hose - it just slid on and off. I needed it right then so I used an automotive hose clamp on it. Quality control anyone??? If I didn't need them immediately I would have sent them back for sure. PRO: Pretty color of blue.
Maybe I got a defective one
April 28, 2014
Was looking forward to getting a longer hose for my travel trailer instead of having to hook up two 10 footers for some of those hard to reach water hook ups. The first time I used this, the hose blew off the screw on connector. I tried to get it reattached but for some reason it just had a bad connection to the metal.
I've got the 10 foot version of this hose and it's been great.

Fortunately I buy from Amazon so the return and refund will be virtually painless.

Several Problems Upon First Use - On Two Of These!
May 16, 2017
Boy oh boy, I'm getting so tired of buying products that are so poorly made or are otherwise very disappointing and then having the return windows closed such that I cannot return them. That doesn't happen with brick and mortar stores. Anyway, I bought two of these and both leak at the connectors which started the very first time I used them. On one of them, the black plastic piece is already splitting, again during the very first use. Oh, and on one I need to file a place on the connector because a piece of the metal sliced my thumb when I tried to screw it onto the faucet. Well, I'm stuck with this product and will have to mitigate the problems, at more expense, in order to continue using them. Lesson learned: Never buy anything from Amazon.com that I cannot use immediately.

This hose leaked right out of the box. It was frustrating because I had it hooked up to my laundry faucet inside my garage, which has hose threads on it, so it sprayed out beyond the tub getting a bunch of stuff wet. I probably just got a bad one, but I'm returning and am not willing to find out if that's true.

Too inflexible to coil and uncoil
July 27, 2017
Tried to use this hose in Colorado where we have cool evenings and mornings. The hose was so stiff and inflexible that it was almost impossible to uncoil or recoil for storage. I removed it from my trailer and went back to the older, shorter hose. Not sure if it will even be good to use in the garden.
The hose is high quaility with very nice heavy dutie fittings
July 9, 2017
The hose is high quaility with very nice heavy dutie fittings. The reason I give it only 1 star is that the water tastes like rubber and I have given up trying to get rid of this flavor. It dose make a very good hose for washing my rv and or flushing my black water tank but I do not suggest using it for your fresh water system.

June 17, 2017
The chemical taste from this hose never goes away. I needed to flush it for a full 10 minutes every morning to kill the taste. I assumed that eventually, it would stop. It didn't. I ended up installing a carbon filter. That has helped.
Looked fantastic...leaked from the start
April 12, 2017
The "Machined fitting and strain-relief end" sprayed water all over me, my coach and the ground...serious bummer.
So back into service goes my old, kinked, cheap K-Mart hose. It still does not leak after years of abuse, and I am sending the new blue leaking hose back.
Lasted a marine season, kinda. Then the nasty surprise!
January 12, 2017
Out of the box, this is a nice hose. A little hard to get the coiling out of but has good ends, strain relief and does not funkify your water. I thought I had found a winner. Then I decided to move it off the hose holder on the pylon. It had basically petrified into that shape after one season. Not sure if it is the material in the hose, sun or something in the marina water that did it. I do filter my water with a 5 micron filter, then a water softener, and finally through a 2 micron carbon filter before it passed through this hose to the boat. I'm a stickler about any water on board needing to be safe for consumption and to taste good. I'm not quite sure if somehow the softener hardened the hose or what. But, this wasn't the death nail for the hose. It was still usable. It just happened to be molded into the perfect shape for my slip to boat connection. But, then the surprise came. I disconnected the hose from the boat to do a wash down and brown sheets of algae come pouring out. Like lots, I figured the whole inside of the hose was coated. I didn't have the sludge analyzed but from experience I'll bet it was diatom algae. Not dangerous just gross. It's a photosynthesizing algae. Which would mean this hose lets light pass through it. Not necessarily a good thing if you're trying to avoid algae growing in your fresh water system.
So, I switched over to Flexzilla. It's drinking water safe, stays very flexible (hence the name), stretches to an extent, has good ends and is pretty damn tough. I haven't had an algae problem with it yet but I'm keeping an eye out. It does let light through but hopefully not the right spectrum that algae needs to flourish like the Camco. If it does, the search will continue for a drinking water hose but I'll keep the Flexzilla as a wash down hose for sure. Mike from the Lifesaport live-aboard blog
