Kid tested, mom approved!
July 28, 2017
Vitamin D is so important to your immune system and preventing illness. I try to regularly give my kids a dose of it year round, but especially during the winter months in a colder climate. We were using another bottle of vit d drops that my kids loved (sunshine vitamins, for reference) but they're $35 for a bottle which just wasn't feasible. I also wanted something that doesn't contain any filler or questionable ingredients. We next tried the child life brand and my kids hated it. Refused it. We purchased this brand and it fit the bill. Affordable, the kids will easily take it, and it's not full of yucky ingredients. This will definitely be our go to unless something changes.
Awesome company
March 28, 2016
**Updated review** company fixed issue. If I have same issue again I will contact company directly** . In an Amazon email, they included this helpful advice. I will be refrigerating the product, and passing these tips along in hopes it helps others.

"

I know you said that it was tricky to get just 1 drop out of the dropper, but we find that if you squeeze virtually all the oil back into the bottle, you should be able to serve just one drop.

Unlike some other brands of Vitamin D we do not recommend that you squeeze it direct into a child's mouth (or an adult's mouth), as it is too easy for the dropper to accidentally touch the mouth and become contaminated. We recommend adding it to food or drinks or for a nursing baby onto the nipple.

Although it is an oil, one drop should not make the drink or food oily. I take the Vitamin D myself and have 8 drops, which to be honest would leave a bit of an oily residue on a drink, but I just drop it onto my hand and lick it off. My 3 boys all have it on their morning cereal."

It is best to keep the opened bottle refrigerated and upright. "

First review: awesome customer service, they solved the issues at hand.

I love the pure ingredient list of this product, why I bought it and why I never used the script vitamin D (ingredient list was horrid). I know that they post a link to a video for the best way for this product to be administered, but in trying to get that single drop to my baby, a lot of the product drips everywhere and I'm never really sure if my baby is getting a drop or more, because every drop varies in size. My dropper was also faulty, so I'm trying to give my son this product with a damaged dropper. (the glass portion loosened from the rubber.) I may have to buy another brand or a new bottle. Not impressed.
Love that it's made in the USA.
January 27, 2016
This product seems to be good. My son takes it no problem and I've been putting a drop on my 20 month old daughters hand and have her lick it off because the first time I let her lick it off my finger, well let's just say "ouch". Lesson learned. Don't ever put a finger in a toddlers mouth. But great product. Easy to give and I might even start taking it myself.
I love this product
October 3, 2015
I love this product! I was a little worried that it wouldn't be a lot for the price. I was pleasantly surprised. Most vitamin D drops I have bought last about a month (and that is when I can find them in the stores). This product will last a good while and I love that there is no taste. Some drops have an overwhelming taste and smell. My little one refuses to eat or drink anything that I have added the other products to. I am happy! :D
The perfect liquid Vitamin D
August 18, 2015
So far we really love this vitamin D. Originally our doctor suggested us trying a different brand, but when I saw how many artificial colors and preservatives there were, I knew there had to be something better. That's when I was so relieved to find this! I especially like that I only have to give my baby girl one drop of it, versus a whole 1 mL syringe of the other stuff. If you've ever tried to give an infant a syringe of liquid, you know it's messy and typically the baby isn't all too thrilled. So give this pure liquid Vitamin D a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Good for Stressed Out Life
October 18, 2017
After the last election my hair fell out in clumps. I started looking around for products to feed my scalp. I bought biotin, recommended for hair follicle stimulation, and then saw that the prenatal capsules provide enough biotin and other vitamins and minerals to help me rebuild my depleted system. I took them religiously for about a month and now, months later, I can say that my hair is growing back. I've got new short hairs dispersed among my long hair.My daughter thinks that I was exposed to some environmental toxin and, if so, these were still a good idea.
Affordable, and worth repurchasing
July 13, 2017
I never got morning sickness/pregnancy induced vomiting, but initially I tried the prenatal gummies and they made me feel nauseous. These Nature Made pills are huge, but they have never made me nauseous. I take a big sip of water, then the pill, then more water and they go down easily. Plus, these are a whole lot cheaper than some other brands I've seen. I've repurchased these throughout my pregnancy and will continue to do so until I give birth and eventually finish breastfeeding.
I feel good about what's in them
May 12, 2017
These are giving me strong nails (the Target brand made them flaky and weak!), I feel good about what's in them, and they don't make me sick! One thing I will caution - do NOT throw away the capsule inside that is meant to keep the bottle aired out. I made that mistake and now these taste/smell kinda fishy. But they are still awesome, and it's just one icky swallow for a whole day of benefits :) I will continue to buy them!

March 29, 2017
I have been taking these for about a week now and I'm really enjoying it. I had been told that prenatal can be hard on your stomach at first, but I have not had any issues with these! Just be sure to follow the directions to take these with food! These pills are rather large too, that was a shock to me at first but I have not had issues actually swallowing them.
Easy to take
October 4, 2016
These are my favorite vitamins I've ever taken. The pill is a pretty decent size but it has a smooth coating so it isn't hard to swallow at all. I have a relatively sensitive stomach and have never had any issues with these. The affordable price is just the cherry on top for me. I've been using these vitamins for a while and will continue to do so.
so happy i found it here i get more vitamin softgels ...
August 8, 2016
i started to use these first when i got pregnant with my son, however; my nearby wallgreens discontinued the "nature Made" products on their shelves......so happy i found it here i get more vitamin softgels for way more less......

The liquid slips out way too easily! Other than that
June 30, 2016
The dropper is frustrating. It says give one drop to babies and that is really hard to do with the dropper provided. The liquid slips out way too easily! Other than that, I love that it has no artificial flavoring or synthetic ingredients. Babies don't need a sugary taste to swallow one drop of something! It basically tastes like nothing. It will definitely last a long time depending on who you are using it for. I have used it every day for two months with my baby and there is still 3/4 of the container left.
Love it, but the bottle not so much
January 1, 2016
I really love this product but the dropper broke after only a month of use and the bottle now leaks around the top if it happens to fall sideways in our medicine cabinet. I would still buy this again and plan on doing so because I believe the breakage was from us dropping it once.
and let the kid suck that. Or try to go for just one ...
December 22, 2015
Tip: put the drop on your finger, and let the kid suck that. Or try to go for just one drop left in dispenser before administering.

First time using it, we tried dropping directly into his mouth. Needless to say he squirmed, and we ended up giving him a nice six or seven day supply in one go. [Don't take medical advice from an Amazon review!] Poison control said there's basically no such thing as a one-time use overdose, that he'd have to get too much on a regular basis for a while, so it was fine, but still. [Don't take medical advice from an Amazon review!]
Excellent product; bad dropper
December 16, 2015
Love that it only takes one drop for the baby. I take a few drops myself. Taste like nothing which is awesome. I took off one star because the dropper. It doesn't keep the liquid in the dropper so it's always dripping. I always seem to lose a few drops on my toddlers face.
Quick flow, but great tasteless product!
December 8, 2015
I did not receive my package (I am thinking due to shipping issues, but unsure) but I have used these drops often for my breastfed children. I love that they only need a few tiny clear drops, rather than a full milliliter of sticky sweet stuff like other brands.

I do wish the drops didn't come out quite so fast. I try to empty the dropper completely back into the bottle, and that leaves just enough fluid left for about a dosage. We are in Alaska, so I give my kids 4-5 drops daily.

Great value, but a bit fishy in taste!
October 13, 2017
I bought these vitamins on the recommendation from my OBGYN that I start taking a vitamin with DHA. Originally she had recommended something that was about 3X the cost and I was reluctant. I found these and they arrived quickly. Now I can't necessarily tell if they made my baby healthier or smarter, but they were a great value and went down my through quickly. The only drawback is the very fishy taste. If you can get past that (And the burps you'll have as a result of that), these are a wonderful alternative to the very expensive kinds!
I really like these pills at first since it contained DHA
September 18, 2017
I really like these pills at first since it contained DHA. However, after I got half way through the bottle it started to smell like fish. It also made me really sick towards the end of my pregnancy. If I ever got these again I would put them in the fridge next time. On the plus side my baby boy was born very health and very strong. He was able to pick his head up when he was just born. Also, he didn't lose any weight after he left the hospital. Maybe it was all the DHA that I took from these pills?
Not for me!
June 27, 2017
The last thing a pregnant woman wants is a prenatal vitamin that tastes like FISH. I'm sick enough as it is, thank you!Bummer because I thought I used these during my last pregnancy, but I remember (what I took) tasting the best out of several brands. Unless there was a change in formula, these aren't the ones. Maybe I can take these later on when I don't feel so yucky...

June 26, 2017
This became my prenatal vitamin during second trimester and it has been a great.I am giving 4 start only because I could not take this vitamin in my first trimester - I would throw up right away after taking it because it is a big too big.Once first trimester nauseas were over, I take this vitamin every day without any issues/ side effects. What I like about it is that it has DHA which was recommended by my doctor.
I can easily swallow them whole with food
May 29, 2017
I bought these because the ones I used to buy (Rainbow brand) almost doubled in price! PROs: (1) Even though they are a bit bigger than the Rainbow ones (which I needed to cut in half), I can easily swallow them whole with food!!! (2) The price!!! CONs: They are big.
Great product, pill is a bit large but not too bad.
May 14, 2017
I have been taking these for over 3 years ( starting before I was pregnant with my oldest daughter, who is 27 months, and continuing while I was pregnant and nursing and then doing the same for my second daughter who is 3 months.) These are great for pregnant women, nursing women, or any woman who MAY become pregnant! You always want to be sure you have enough folic acid incase you are pregnant- complications from low levels could occur before you even know you are expecting. The pills are large but not difficult to swallow

Bottle really does not work well
March 8, 2017
I'm disappointed I like the product but if you can't get it out of the bottle it's no use. I don't want to use to much as it's very strong. I purchased in December- by January we were struggling with the dropper but it still worked. By march it is now totally broke. I'm having trouble contacting the company to ask for another dropper.
Hard to administer just one drop
August 6, 2016
It's important to give Vit D to breastfed newborns but this vial make delivering just one drop challenging. But with practice it gets easier.

January 1, 2016
Great product except your only supposed to give your baby one drop and when you try to release one drop, multiple drops try to come out.
Good product, syringe dropper needs slight improvement
December 15, 2015
Good product, syringe dropper needs slight improvement. Compared to another brand I've tried, this dropper is not as "tight" so if you are not careful too many drops will just fall out. Also the cap is not airtight so when the bottle is on its side for some time I have noticed the bottle feels slightly greasy.
I wish the dropper was better designed so I knew I was giving just one ...
November 11, 2015
As far as what it is it is the vitamin supplement our little one needs for being solely breastfed. I wish the dropper was better designed so I knew I was giving just one drop. It just drips off inconsistently and makes it difficult to squeeze one drop.

Tastes like fish oil
September 28, 2017
The product I got does match the listing; however, a few of the capsules inside the bottle had burst. I'm guessing this may have happened in shipping. I have used this brand and type of vitamins for well over a year now, and never had a bottle like this. This made all of the capsules taste horrible - think strong fish oil taste right at bedtime.
Did they change the formula?
September 26, 2017
Five stars for the first bottle I got but the second bottle smelled really strongly of fish. I dread opening it everyday and gag every time I take a pill. I don't know if the formula was changed or if I just got a lemon. Debating purchasing another bottle because I liked the first lot, but nervous that the next will also be fishy.
Too much iron
September 21, 2017
I can't tolerate these and had to throw them out. They caused horrible black, tarry diarrhea because of the excess iron. Why do they have 150% DV of iron? That's likely to make anyone sick!
Tastes and smells badly of fish.
July 21, 2017
Easy to swallow and an overall good vitamin, but I can't imagine taking it while actually pregnant and dealing with the nausea that goes with it because the taste and smell of fish is so strong! I'm taking them currently while we're trying, but if you suffer from nausea or are easily turned off by smells, I don't recommend this one.
It is nice only having to take one vitamin and get everything ...
March 27, 2017
I took these with my first pregnancy and was sick the whole time (might not have had anything to do with the vitamins, but did use a different kind for my second). It is nice only having to take one vitamin and get everything you need and there is no funny taste like some others.
Made my wife nauseous
March 12, 2017
While these are probably very good quality, they made my wife very nauseous. We have switched to an alternate brand and she is no longer experiencing nausea with her new prenatal vitamins.

It is just annoying, always to push the pipet into the dropper ...
February 3, 2017
I would give definitiv more stars, if the dropper wouldn`t fall apart after a few weeks. I still use it but I am thinking to buy a bottle from a different brand. It is just annoying, always to push the pipet into the dropper and the dopper gets outside so oily.
Hard to measure
October 4, 2016
Too hard to measure how much you're giving your baby. Maybe this is the best we can do for infants, but I wish there was a more precise way to measure how much Vitamin D I am giving my newborn. The dropper doesn't have any marks on it so I didn't know how much to give. "2-3 drops" seems pretty vague. I would prefer a little more precision, if possible.

Fishy taste for the rest of the day
September 25, 2017
If you struggle with morning sickness i wouldn't recommend this. HORRIBLE fishy taste and you belch fish for a long time afterward. In my2nd trimester now and otherwise morning sickness was gone, but i can't hardly handle to finish this bottle due to taste. It's worse than omega 3 tablets. Other than that, they've kept my baby healthy, so they do the job.
Loved dha + vitamins but Not the nausea
August 14, 2017
Update: loved these vitamins! After some use (several bottles over months), these vitamins made me terribly nauseous (I'm not prego or trying but loved the complete dha/vitamin combo) & fast hair/nail growth. Unable to continue taking the product with/without food/day or night.
Fishy taste
July 25, 2017
Just a heads up. When they were first opened, they were fine. After about a month, there is a very strong fishy taste that happens in my mouth after taking the caplet. No way around it. Just have to take it fast then brush my teeth immediately. They also smell fishy. Guess it's from the DHA component.
STINKS!
June 3, 2017
I had to stop taking these because of the SMELL! Awful - beyond. And the smell rubs off on your hands no matter how briefly you touch these greasy pills. I bought different ones from Whole Food and am much happier.
stinky.
April 3, 2017
I'm not sure about these, but this is my second bottle of these same vitamins. This batch smells gross - to the point I worried they were expired, but they say they're good until 12/2018. I can compare it to the first batch, those didn't smell! But they smell bad and are not enjoyable to choke down because of it.
Suuuuper bad indegestion and fish flavored burps after these vitamins
December 17, 2015
Suuuuper bad indegestion and fish flavored burps after these vitamins. Thought it was just a bad batch my first bottle, but the next bottle was just as bad. And if I didn't eat a full meal and have lots of water as a chaser they made me super nauseous shortly after taking them. I switched to One A Day and have had much better results.P.S. I'm still in the trying-to-conceive stages, so the indegestion and nausea was not pregnancy related!

Dropper doesn't hold liquid
December 5, 2016
This product would be much better if the dropper actually controlled the liquid, but the liquid just leaks out of the dropper, so I don't feel safe giving this to my baby for fear of over dosing. Wasted my money; should have trusted other reviewers.
Dropper broken
November 24, 2016
We were happy with it until the dropper broke - it seems very fragile and poorly designed. This has happened away from home and we have to try to find alternate storage for the product since the bottle now has a large hole where the dropper used to be. Very disappointed and a shame because it seems like a good product otherwise.
Poor design...
August 24, 2016
I guess I should have listened to those who posted 1star reviews. This product is a waste of money because the dropper fell apart after only two weeks. $20 is a LOT to pay for 2 weeks of Vit D

Easy to swallow, but horrible smell and taste.
September 29, 2017
I've been taking this for months, no problem. This last bottle I received reeks of foul smelling fish. Like seriously foul, rotting fish. So much so that the bottle has been closed now for 10 minutes, and it's still all I can smell.I called customer service (lovely quick service!) to confirm that the pills are safe to ingest, she informed me that some bottles are "fishier" than others. I'll be switching to something else, hopefully less fishy.

September 28, 2017
I have been using these vitamins for the better part of the past 4 years between pregnancies and breastfeeding. The recent 'improved formula' change has been terrible. They now taste and smell fishy. So much so that I am switching to a new brand because I can't take it. There is also a film of fish oil around the capsules that is less than appealing and makes you question what you are taking. AVOID this product.

Tasted like fish oil- don't order through Amazon
April 13, 2017
Not the same as the ones you might find in a store- they smelled and tasted like fish oil. GROSS. The taste was so bad that I had to stop using them after two days. I've been using this exact product for about two years now and I have never had anything like this before. Definitely worth a trip to a store to buy these vs buying them through Amazon.
Selling old formula
January 10, 2017
Loved these vitamins and wanted to buy in bulk but this seller is NOT selling you the freshest, most updated vitamins! NatureMade company has changed their formula slightly and the photos of the ingredients advertised shows this but the bottle is from the old formula. I have called NatureMade and they were very helpful and reassuring it is safe to take these and it is there product but I'm very disappointed In the seller about updating their product. Hence why this was such a "good deal". I've attached a photo comparing the latest ingredients from NatureMades website(left) vs. What was sent to me (right). Again, both formulas are safe, it's just the principal of the matter!
Fishy smell is rancid fish oil.
August 12, 2016
Up until this most current bottle I would have given 5 stars. This bottle smelled incredibly fishy. Upon further research, fish oil only smells fishy when it's gone rancid. Since the expiration date is June 2017 (a year from when I purchased) I'm thinking these bottles were not store appropriately. Despite the good price on Amazon, I'm going to stick to purchasing these items in store from now on...
