October 1, 2017
These have made a huge difference! I started my pregnancy taking Rainbow Light Prenatal Vitamins and was feeling so incredibly sick. I finally noticed I woke up feeling fine, it was only after taking the Rainbow Light the day went down hill. I ordered New Chapter which is three small pills a day vs RL's one pill and I can function like a normal human again! Even with a very light meal, these haven't made me feel sick.
Good quality prenatal vitamin
August 16, 2017
I liked these prenatal vitamins…I had so side effects from them. They didn't make me nauseous or sick feeling when I took them on an empty stomach. I switched between these and another brand but ultimately I still like the other brand a bit better.
Finally, one that doesn't make me sick.
June 15, 2017
Finally a prenatal that doesn't make me feel sick. Been through a few others and glad I landed on these. Easy to swallow and though they do have an odor it's not strong or bad (kinda smells like hay, weird I know). Was also nice to be able to buy a small amount to sample before committing to a large jar.

Great product! Really like that I can take it before (or after) I eat and not have to worry about the nausea effects to takes place.
best vitamins
October 19, 2015
I tried a few prenatal vitamins. Some made me nauseous. I always started researching nutrition and realized many do not have all the right vitamins or the correct type so your body absorbs it more efficiently. After much research I found New Chapter to have the best prenatal from a nutritional standpoint. It also does not make me nauseous. Its a bit more expensive, but worth it because when I buy the cheaper ones they are not providing me with the proper nutrition so its almost like throwing money away. I recommend these vitamins to anyone lady that can afford them and is pregnant or could possibly get pregnant.
My perfect prenatal vitamin
July 31, 2015
I took these vitamins all throughout my pregnancy after much research. I didn't have to take anything prescribed to me, but instead I wanted something natural. It was somewhat of a pain to take 3 pills daily, but I made it a point to space them out throughout the day and have one during breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was never nauseous and did not feel sick my entire pregnancy and I truly attribute it to these vitamins. My doctor reviewed all of the contents and was quite pleased with them. I would highly recommend these and would suggest that you space them out so you don't release the vitamins when you go to the restroom.

My scalp likes it!
October 15, 2017
I frequently wear a helmet to protect my head. My hair went into total rebellion. I started to go bald in those areas where the spongy insides of the helmet came into direct contact with my hair. Due to illness, I'm also vitamin deficient, esp D, B, and Iron so I figured I'd give this product a try. My hair has filled in nicely. Still wearing the helmet AND able to keep my hair. I just wanted to get all my vitamins and the hair growth was a welcomed side effect.
Only 1 Needed
September 28, 2017
If comparing vitamins, check to see how many you need to take per day. This is only 1 and is also a good value compared to others. Note it is 30 of each type, so this is a 1 month supply.
Great product
July 26, 2017
I notice that my energy level dips when I don't take these or take an off brand. I'll keep these up until we're done having babies and I'm done nursing.
GREAT PRENATALS!!!!
June 4, 2017
I absolutely love these vitamins. I am pregnant with twins and they have been so good to me. No nausea no constipation (i still take a strol softner just in case) I love that it has a dose of folic acid separate and not in one pill. I feel the babies get a better dose of it. I get them once a month and will take them even after I deliver!!!!
Dont get the prescribed, get this.
March 26, 2016
I used to have a $2/day vitamin+fish oil prescribed by OB. This is much more economic .
Awesome price and quality!
February 25, 2016
This is a GREAT price and a GREAT buy! I put it on repeat because I take it post pregnancy as well for nursing and all around extra nutrients!

September 6, 2017
I like these. But be aware that calcium content is very low --only 75 mg, so be sure to take other calcium supplements. I take these with New Chapter's calcium supplements, but even that is 770mg total per serving size.
I believe these are a better quality that shows
September 1, 2017
I was using a more inexpensive prenatal vitamin and I was having problems with hair loss and I wasn't gaining weight but my pregnancy got but these issues seemed to subside after taking these new vitaimins. I believe these are a better quality that shows. Arrived on time and I am happy.
I love these prenatal vitamins
February 18, 2017
I love these prenatal vitamins! I bought this smaller bottle because I only have a few weeks left! I usually get the largest bottle. The reason for 4 stars is this particular version was supposed to come with a pill case that it didn't come with.
Love these
July 24, 2016
Love these prenatal vitamins! I took them before and throughout my entire pregnancy. I had a lot of nausea while pregnant, so I still needed to take these at night to avoid morning sickness even though the bottle says you can take them on an empty stomach. I just took them right before I went to sleep. I'm actually still taking them while I nurse. The only negative to these is that you have to take three pills! Love them, though!
A Great Prenatal Vitamin
February 10, 2016
I've used these prenatal vitamins for my two pregnancies and I just love them. I have a VERY sensitive stomach, but I can take these on an empty stomach and not feel sick. They have all of the nutritional elements that are important. The only thing I don't like about them is they smell kinda bad. Part of this probably has to do with my super sensitive pregnant nostrils, but I try my best not to smell them when I open the bottle. . .but it's a strong smell. If it wasn't for that I'd give it 5 stars.
Good vitamins but need to take 3 pills everyday
December 26, 2015
these are nice prenatal vitamins. Easy to swallow. No bad smell. Also they use folate instead of folic acid. (folate is natural extract while folic acid is not) the only complain is you need to take 3 pills per serving. We did not know that before. So if you are not good at remembering to take your pills then it is kind of a problem. The size of pills are not so small but again on the package it says you need to take 3 pills everyday. So this makes these vitamins are more expensive than the similar brands.

Only one problem...
September 21, 2017
So far so good! I'm not pregnant yet, but I am trying. I haven't had any nausea with these pills, and swallowing them is easy. If you have trouble swallowing the big pill, eat it with food, such as a banana. I also like how the "fishy burps" are slight, but barely noticable. My only complaint is after reading reviews about how there isn't an even number of pills, I counted mine and alas, there are more fish pills than there are supposed to be. But the bottle was sealed, so I don't really see a huge issue. Will update review with nausea symptoms as my pregnancy begins.

Too many pills required per serving....
September 21, 2017
I cannot rate the effectiveness of this product because I only used them for one month. I can say, there was no after taste and these were easy on my sensitive stomach even though I had to take several large pills at one time.
I was told they were good if you were anemic
June 14, 2017
I take this as a multi-vitamin as I am not pregnant or trying to get pregnant. I was told they were good if you were anemic. They have a pretty strong vitamin-y smell which might make it hard to swallow. They work and don't upset my stomach which is great.
... years ago and I thought these vitamins would be easy to digest
November 16, 2016
I had my gall bladder removed several years ago and I thought these vitamins would be easy to digest, but they are turning out to be a major cause of my pregnancy heartburn/indigestion.
Not seeing the same results as other brands
February 15, 2014
I have been using another brand on prenatals for over a year. I had my son back in September and continued to take that brand. I found this brand and they sounded good and had really good reviews so I bought them.I have to say it's really difficult to remember to take them 3 times a day when I was used to just taking 1 pill a day.Because I don't go have my blood tested often I can't say whether or not this brand helps keep my vitamins and minerals up, but I can say that when I was taking the other brand my skin was bright, my hair soft and my nails grew so fast I had to trim them twice a week. Since starting these my skin is dull and dry and so is my hair, and my nails are brittle and cracking and breaking. So I have to think that these are not working as well as the other brand I was using.I will finish out the bottle - I got 3 months worth - and if I see any positive change I will update my review.
Good vitamin - very pricey
January 22, 2014
I have purchased New Chapter vitamins in the past and have been very pleased with them. I was happy to find this prenatal on Amazon, but I thought that I was getting a six month supply of vitamins. The box instructs you to take three vitamins a day. I have a hard enough time remembering to take one a day, let alone three. Now my six month supply is down to a two month supply.I should have read the guidelines more closely before purchasing. I never would have spent so much money on a two month supply of vitamins. As for the vitamins, they are large and may be difficult for some to swallow, but I don't find them to be too big. I have had other prenatals that have been huge. I am taking two a day of this vitamin to stretch it out a bit, and I will probably switch to another brand for my next supply.Overall, the vitamins do not upset my stomach, are not too big, but are too pricey for me. It was my fault for not reading the dosage more carefully before purchasing. It is clearly shown in one of the photos.
I like these, but many arrived broken
May 3, 2013
Note: Using my husband's account to post this reviewMy doctor recommended a prenatal vitamin from natural sources because (apparently, I haven't personally done any research) they've been shown to absorb better. So I picked these up. No change in energy or mood, but they don't make me vomit, which is a huge plus. I've always had problems with large pills, and these don't even nauseate me. I wish they were smaller, and I wish I didn't have to take so many of them, but it isn't so bad because I don't need to have a full stomach before taking them. They do have a kind of fish foody smell, but I haven't noticed a bad taste yet. When I need more vitamins, I'll probably try a different brand where I don't have to take so many, but I'll definitely come crawling back if they nauseate me.When I received them from this seller, 1/4 to 1/3 of the pills were broken and there was some powder at the bottom of the jar indicating that at least a few had completely disintegrated.

Gave me headaches !!
November 7, 2016
First off these vitamin are way too big! Why can't they be like the DHA ones? Those are perfect. I took them at night as always and after eating but I still had side effects. Horrible headaches within 1-2 of taken them. Cut the dosage in half and no more headaches!
Not bad, not great

I have't notice any great side effects that i see with most vitamins, like great hair/skin. But its not bad…and is on par with most vitamins
Easy to swallow
May 2, 2015
I started with these once I became pregnant. I wonder if they have anything to do with my hair loss. I prefer not to switch during my pregnancy. Easy to swallow. No nausea feeling afterwards. First urine after taking will be bright yellow like a highlighter. FYI

Causes smelly burps
September 17, 2017
Got this for my wife. This is her review:I wanted to love this product, I really did. But it makes me really gasy and burp a lot - as in, i would burp once every few minutes. Not to mention that the burps smell nasty. I was taking a generic brand from costco before trying this brand and didn't have any problems with that, but switched to this on recommendation from my sister in law. I like that it's gentle but I just can't stand the smelly burps. Won't be purchasing this again.
Dehydration like whoa
September 13, 2017
For some reason, these pills made me super dehydrated. I was constantly thirsty, even after drinking 3x the water I normally do (which is already a lot). Also, the smell of the pills -- an artificial raspberry medicinal smell -- nearly made me gag. I switched to the Garden of Life brand, and I've already seen a huge improvement.
Misleading- folic acid rather than folate like they say
March 31, 2017
I purchased these because it says it contains folate. However, to my surprise, when I received the product today it says folate as folic acid. There is a huge difference between the two, and many people can't take folic acid. It is extremely misleading for the company to advertise it as containing folate when it is the synthetic form...
Bought out by Procter & Gamble
February 4, 2017
First of all I've worked in health food stores for a long time in my earlier years and I always thought this was a really great brand. Recently though by reading other reviews I found out that they had been bought out by Proctor and Gamble, which is very distressful for me -- I would never support that company as they are linked to Monsanto. Now that I know that I will never purchase new chapter again. I switched to Garden of Life, My Life, once a day prenatal and I highly recommend them.
Hopes were up about the product
December 1, 2015
Dealt with the most horrible morning sickness(all day sickness) from first trimester well into second and purchased these according to reviews of people dealing with morning sickness and how it didn't make them feel worse. I was disappointed as i felt worse every time I took them but then again everyone is different. Refuse too take them now because I was no longer dealing with morning sickness mid second trimester but for some reason felt sick once I would take these pills. Not what I expected.
They consistantly upset my stomach, even with a meal
August 19, 2012
I researched prenatal vitamins for a while before deciding on these, and really wanted them to work. Unfortunately they do strange things to my stomach. They don't make me feel nauseated exactly, but they do make me feel like I've just swallowed a large rock. I don't know another way to describe it. Its incredibly uncomfortable and I'm tired of feeling like this. I take them with a meal, and that's a lot better than on an empty stomach (that was a serious mistake on my part), but even so, they just aren't working for me. I've given it a month, but at this point I'm ready to admit that this just isn't working and my stomach isn't going to get used to them. And yes, they really do stink (sort of fishy), but I can mostly ignore that, especially after I switched them to a weekly pill container to remind me to take all three each day. Not having to open the container three times a day was so much better. I had high hopes for these vitamins, but its time to try another brand because I really don't want to feel like this for a year.

You do not get a 120 day supply. The DHA is a separate pill so you actually take 2 a day.
Too much iron - not for me
October 7, 2015
I loved that these were petite in size with no strange taste or smell but unfortunately due to the amount of iron I was getting bouts of nausea and dizziness throughout the day. It took me a few days to realize that it was because of these vitamins! I have never had issues with other prenatals but after researching online I found I wasn't the only one with these symptoms while taking this brand of vitamin. Will be switching back to the other brand I used with baby number 1.
Gross after taste-
July 21, 2015
I was taking a prenatal vitamin for a couple years and it was fine but a bit of a horse pill. I got some One A Day samples from my pediatrician due to my recent pregnancy. They were great and I was ready to make the switch so I ordered these. What a HUGE disappointment. The soft gel caps is what my sample was. These have a horrible, horrible after taste and after 2 days I had to order the gel caps. We shouldn't have to suffer for potential years with a bad after taste. I ordered the One A Day soft gel caps and think those will be great.

Nauseous feeling from these
June 17, 2014
I was very impressed by the vitamins and folic acid in these prenatal vitamins but I'm sorry to say as soon as I started to take them daily my mouth started to taste like metal and I was nauseous immediately to follow. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I thought it was weird to get morning sickness so soon so I took a break from them and started to feel better. I thought I could alternate days and use them every other day but my doctor said to just use Flintstones vitamins.
Title Was Misleading & DHA Pills Are Smaller
July 16, 2013
When I ordered these online, I was expecting to get a twin pack of 60 count vitamins each, not 30 each. Also, the DHA pills are smaller than the ones I have previously purchased, which was very disappointing.

I was very unhappy when I received the vitamins and realized the serving size is 3 pills. When trying to return the product, which originally said item was eligible for returns for 30 days, now say not eligible for returns. If I planned on spending $30+ for only 30 days of vitamins I would not have chosen vitamins made primarily with culture media.

This was getting the job nicely done for my wife who has MTHFR. This means she cannot process folic acid and needs it in its natural form. We just found out that between the time we signed up to subscribe to this item and today, they switched from folate to folic acid. We should have been informed by the company.
