Excellent memory card - worth every penny
May 30, 2017
Man, this was pricey. But worth it because it's like an insurance plan for my images. HAHA I use this as a back up card in my two card reader Nikon D800 camera. Images are saved to both my SD card and this CF card so that the images are backed up if one card fails. I always purchase SanDisk Extreme PRO cards for my camera as they work fast and cohesively with my camera. Fortunately, (knock on wood) I haven't had any lost images or corrupted cards while using this brand of card.
Great quality, fast card from SanDisk.
May 22, 2017
I needed a CF-card for my Canon 7D Mark II camera, which I recently purchased. I only trust SanDisk Memory cards anymore, even if the price is higher than other brands. I had some bad luck with other brand cards, even a highly popular brand SD card in the past. This is the first CF-Card that I have ever needed, but since I have never had a problem with SanDisk in the past, I chose this. I have their products in my 3 tablets, my smart phones and cameras. I will get another one when this one gets full, rather than format it, and keep it as a backup for my pictures.
Big capacity only matched by rock-solid reliability
July 1, 2016
This is the third one of these I've purchased, because this brand and size (SanDisk 128 GB Extreme Pro) is the most (PC & Mac with various readers) universally compatible part I've found on the market, plus it lasts more than one "shoot," and works 100%. The same cannot be said about some of their competitors. I have 3 Canon camera bodies that take CF cards, and now I don't have to fuss around anymore, because they all have this same huge card, I know they work, and won't fill up right away. I can't ask for more than that.
Great, super-fast card
November 24, 2015
Great card I stepped up to this from 8GB 30 MB/s CF and 32GB 80MB/s sd cards (which seemed to have similar performance in use). Compared to those 2 cards this transformed both Canon 1d IV and my 5d mkIII. On the 1D IV I have not hit my buffer limit and it clears nearly instantly. Shooting motorsports this lets me hit every car I want to using high speed frame rate on the opening lap AND have time to review my images while I'm waiting for them to come around again. On the 5dIII I am more likely to hit the buffer (still a rare occasion), but it clears quickly, again giving me a chance to review images while waiting for the cars to come around again. With my old cards sometimes the buffer hadn't even cleared by the start of the second lap. If you shoot action (or video) This (or another cards of similar speed) is one of the best investments you can make - It can literally add new life to older gear!As for the capacity I do like not having to change cards frequently, although with such a fast card I have found myself taking more photos during a session, and there is always that "all your eggs in one basket" issue should the card get lost or camera stolen with a days shooting still in it.
Great Product
June 23, 2015
Just purchased a Canon 7D Mk II and I needed a faster CF card that would allow for the 10FPS photo burst of the camera. As I always download my camera daily when traveling, not because of space needs, but I like to get my images backed up as soon as possible. The space is more than sufficient for all of my shooting and I take a lot of photos especially round my grandkids when I use my camera's 10FPS burst shooting mode. It performs it's function fast and well. That is the true test. I would buy this product again, but it appears I won't have to.
Works as Advertised!
March 5, 2014
I received this card the other day and was curious how it would perform in my Canon 5D Mark III, so I tested it against some of my other high speed cards. Obviously you are paying a premium for the write speed, so I wanted to make sure I got what I paid for, so to speak. Here's what I came away with:Camera Settings-Canon 5D Mark III with battery grip - 2 fully charged batteries (grip doesn't matter)-Freshly in-camera formatted CF cards-ISO 100, 1/8000s, body cap (so f/0, manual focus)-ALO, High ISO NR, vignette removal, CA correction OFF-RAW-High Speed DriveNote: I realize that the body cap photos are all black and real photos will be larger and slow the camera more, but I think that this is the only way to have a 100% reproducible test.Test-Depress shutter fully until the camera slows-Wait for buffer write to finish-Press image review - look at # of images, subtracting the extra frame that indicated the buffer was fullResults-Sandisk 16GB (SDCFX-016G-A61) UDMA 60MB/s read/write speed rated: 19 frames-Lexar 32GB 1000x (LCF32GCTBNA1) UDMA7 - 150MB/s read / 95MB/s write speed rated: 23 frames-Sandisk 32GB Extreme Pro (SDCFXP-032G-X46) UDMA6, 90MB/s write speed rated: 25 frames-Sandisk 64GB Extreme Pro (SDCFXPS-064G-X46) 160MB/s read / 150MB/s write speed rated: 35 framesThe new card isn't quite a 50% boost over the previous generation, but it's close, and being able shoot at 6fp for at least 5 seconds straight in a 5DIII is excellent. I'm sure the 1DX, D4, and other cameras would also benefit from the card.

Good price, worked perfectly
June 17, 2017
Worked perfectly in my old EOS 5D camera. I wasn't sure an old camera would read this big a memory card. The camera seemed to freeze for a minute the first time I put the card in -- probably formatting the card or something, because it only happened once. No problems after that in either the camera or a card reader on a laptop. This is a pretty big memory card and a good price. No point paying more for faster transfer speeds when the camera I'm going to use it in doesn't support those newer transfer speeds anyway.
Nice Card.
December 19, 2016
I use this in my dual slot camera and pair it with the Lexar Professional USB 3.0 Dual-Slot Reader - LRW400CRBNA. Windows reports 100-400 MB/s Down and 40 MB/s up. Yes, it hops around during downloads, I guess because some RAW files are bigger or the USB buffer fills.. I just don't know. Plenty fast for my needs. My camera is capable 10 fps bursts shooting RAW, and this card will take it until it's full, so no problems in that area.
Best Value I Could Find.
May 16, 2016
I'm not sure I love this card, partly because I feel SD cards are so reliable that CF and its bulkiness is no longer necessary. Apparently, Nikon doesn't see it that way. I recently purchased a Nikon D810, and while I love almost everything else, in addition to the SD slot, it has a CF slot.Even using a 128GB SD card, I often shoot so many photos in a day that I need extra storage, and this is there for that purpose. I had to purchase an extra card reader because newer computers don't usually have multi-card readers which include CF.So, there you have it. Not out of choice, but necessity, I purchased this CF card. In shopping for it, this seemed to be the best value in terms of speed, storage and reliability.
This made my A#1 Card Choice for 2016 1st 1/4!!
March 24, 2016
I got this card in replacement of an off rand for $12 less. It took some searching but Finally I found an offering for under $27. I mention this A. Because I talk to so many people that don't know you can keep deep searching, though seemingly fruitless, and find price reductions. I can buy any card I want, and need quality gear, I however will never give up trying to keep my expenses as low as possible, and also trying unbranded Gear, as Photography Equip is absolutely one of the most highly margined retail industries, I would be a fool to not see (as I can return, like in this very case). Lexar cards fill my D3 Bag, many from the time of a 2G card= $75. FFwd This card performs without question, to real advertised speeds, and like many cards Nikon works directly w/ the Manufacturer on, I believe this may be one. Compared to Sandisk Extreme (several versions of extreme have been made) but a version rated 20% faster than this card, made 0 difference in my D3. I'd get 16 shots, in the buffer, and then 15sec min to shoot 3-5,6 more. I can mash 17Raw NEF's, and continue to shot 1frame p/~~1/3, 1/2 second immediately to NO END. So for ExtremeSports, I bought my D3,after buffer upgrades, and the 2 raw shots has made a difference, literally, by catching not a perfect action shot, but the wipe out, or something unique, (and BTW for those who live$$ by the view TTL, and an editors thoughts on storyline,) which can get you a great paying series submission, vs a paying one, or just 1 great photo that may or may not be used. Buy! I tell it as it is, and am an affiliate, BUT RECEIVE NOTHING FOR MY OPINION. SideNote* for those reading that get waffly because someone adds commentary regarding some of my real world examples, this is for you, the commenters are white noise. Yes a D3 isn't a Newer (like in the last 3 year) DSLR, but it WAS the best Model for (3) I think yrs running, still shoots 9+ fps, and as for its outdated 12.2 Mgpx sensor; It utilizes the same focusing limit switching, gearing + motors, 51 pt AF and equally as powerful Manual Focusing Systems up to a D5, and shot Dynamically is easily an effective 36.3 Mgpx, more if needed, weather proofed, most reliable, and capable unit (IMHO) around. Using 80grit sandpaper we ground the front lens of a kit lens, till it was white, the D3 captured 15 test images, that looked pin sharp. 8 other brands not so much, the Article was published referencing our adventure after petapixel demonstrated re the lens quality issue, so many blow Hards say they see microscopic nicks in images. I apologize to all, as I intend this only for 1 person, but sadly I felt many would be discouraged to take my advice on many items like tripods, that can be had for 1/5 the cost of brand names, and suffer. My selfishness to truly help people that believe in and use reviews, is my motivation. Please accept my apology if you feel uncomfortable reading, again the person knows I'm talking to them, the rest shoot your heart, and soul, and never let a label hold you from your vision! Regards
Great capacity, fast card
September 8, 2014
Bought this for my Nikon D810, plenty fast for video and single shots. I've tested the card when shooting multiple frames per second and it does take a few seconds for the buffer in the camera to empty, but I usually don't shoot fast action. I get about 325 frames using lossless compressed RAW on the D810, so I'm happy with the capacity. If you shoot fast action, I'd get the 1066, otherwise this is plenty fast and I don't notice and lag.
Great speed. Works perfectly with the Nikon D800

Great Value!
October 8, 2015
I took more than 1000 pictures while vacationing at Glacier National Park using the RAW file structure and only used about 60 gigabytes. RAW files are very large data files compared to JPEG, yet I did not come close to filling up the CF disk. Worth the $.
Great card that I'll keep buying
May 31, 2015
I've bought Sandisk cards for all of my cameras, both SD and CF. For the type of camera I have, 16GB stores ~450 RAW photos which works well for me. If it stored any more photos, I'd be more concerned about lost data if the card were corrupt. However, with each card you get a free 1 year subscription to data recovery software that, unfortunately I had to use for an older CF card, but it recovered the data without a problem. The card has kept up with the writes when shooting bursts. I've yet to test with extended burst rates, but it's done the job for me so far.
Great product
May 23, 2015
I like it but I don't think it is compatible with the Nikon D300 it sometimes freezes up . But while it's working it takes great pictures . But it doesn't take from the fact that this is a great product .
Good card but not what's pictured in the ad.
January 18, 2015
The card is Sandisk quality. I use it for my Canon 5D MKIII. It's a fast card but my only gripe with it is that I did not receive the card that's pictured in the ad. The card I received does not have the "Gold SanDisk Extreme Pro" header on top. It's all black and looks generic.

June 7, 2017
No complaints...this company Lexar, also makes good flash cards...
Great card for the price. Significantly cheaper than some of the others.
May 29, 2016
This is my first CF (compact flash) card for my Canon 5D Mark III, but I'm not new to Lexar products. They've served me well over the years in SD cards, so I thought I'd give this one a shot. 120mb/s (I haven't been able to actually test to see if those speeds are accurate) seems like more than enough for short burst shots that I take sometimes...Other than that, this card is a great price compared to some of the others in the same ballpark. As long as it doesn't let me down and I don't end up with corrupted files, I couldn't ask for more. Thanks Lexar!
Adequacy is sufficient.
October 5, 2014
It's a good CompactFlash card. It's not the fastest, but it's good. And it holds a couple weeks worth of JPEGs for me, so I'm happy. I assume all those worries from so-called experts about the 128gb size being dangerous are over by now — as are their warnings against the 64, 32, 16 and 8 gb sizes before, but somebody's always got to worry about something. I like everything on one card, and the card stays in the camera. Adequacy is Sufficient.
Good Compact Flash Cards for Photography. Includes Free Data Recovery Software
August 23, 2014
Been using three of these cards for several months. Work very well in my Canon D7 camera for both photos and videos. Comes with instructions to download free Lexar data recovery software for the cards.
Nice not to have to change cards
August 17, 2014
I take a LOT of photos when I go to the local shelter to get portraits of the dogs available for adoption. It's nice that I don't have to keep switching cards, but my camera seems to go a little slower when I'm shooting on multiple fps. When I go to upload my images, a couple of times, my computer had a hard time acknowledging the card. After several attempts, it works, but it still seems slower than uploading 4 , 8, or 16 gb card. I shoot in raw and sometimes in raw and jpeg, so that is a lot of work for the computer. I think I might stick with my 16 gb card rather than the 32 gb.

July 2, 2017
Only saying it's okay because this is a replacement for one that completely failed and ate my photography job. It wasn't old either, just failed. Wanted to try Lexar but the shipping was 2-3 weeks and I needed to replace the one I lost faster. So crossing fingers. To be fair, I have had several of these cards and the one that did fail was the first......but that still is annoying.

Not fast enough for the Canon 5d Mark iv 4k video
June 15, 2017
This is probably a great card but I bought it specifically to shoot 4k video on the Canon 5d Mark iv. This camera records video at 500mb/s at 4k and says it requires a minimum of 100 mb/s write speed on a compact flash card. The camera kept stopping after a few seconds with this card.

This works in my camera (Canon 5D II) but not in my card reader - a KingstonFCR-HS19/1. Kingston has a firmware upgrade for the card reader, but it's only available for a PC, so no help to mac users. My mistake - I should have bought a slower card.
Ok but not on all cameras. Check before buyy
May 7, 2016
Good and solid product. But it is not as fast as advertised and more importantly, not compatible with some cameras. I have a D810 and a D300. This product will not be recognized by the D300. I had to look in the internet to confirm that other people have had this compatibility issue. On the D810 it works fine.

January 7, 2016
I have had a few of these fail. after a time the can no longer be formatted. Under a lifetime warranty so I e-mail Lexar and get an RMA and mail it in and wait. Rather inconvenient. I also worry about one failing after I have 200 wedding photos on it. I have only bought Sandisk most recently.
Write Speed is only 45 MB/s
January 10, 2015
The description shows a maximum speed of 120MB/s for read operations. The back cover of the box shows 45MB/s for write operations, and that is what I see for copies from my mac to a Kingston USB 3.0 CF card reader.

August 29, 2016
7 months in (and likely around 3K photos taken on card) and the disks are having issues. I transfer my photos into lightroom and some of the photos are whited out like its a staticky tc screen. It's frustrating to have random images that are no good and I worry that at some point all or a lot of the images will start doing that!
Failed on first use. Poor customer service process by SanDisk eventually replaced it.
February 23, 2015
After all the great reviews, I splurged for the ExtremePro UDMA 7 64GB. The first time I shot any videos, 3 of 5 wouldn't transfer from my Canon 5Dm2 (using the same approach I've used successfully for 5 yrs - connect camera to USB cord). The camera reported: Err 02 "There is a problem with external media. Replace external media."I called SanDisk support and they wanted me to reformat the card and "try it again". I've never had a media failure of any sort with this camera over 5 yrs and was unwilling to take the risk. I finally convinced them that I wanted a replacement card. Then I was told that I needed to mail in the card and after the received it they would send out another. Total time, 7-10 days. I asked why they couldn't send the card immediately and charge my credit card if I failed to return bad one. The tech said he would "escalate to corporate" and they would call me back. Long story short - after several calls, the replacement card eventually showed up after 12 days! (even though they sent it "immediately").Upon arrival, I tested both cards (bad one and replacement). The bad one failed again on relatively small videos (75 MB) and the new one worked perfectly - as expected. I wasted a lot of time, frustration and some LOST VIDEO MEMORIES. So far the replacement is working.
Bit of a nightmare.
October 13, 2014
I've been having issues with the memory card. For the price, this would about give anyone a heart attack when working on a wedding. I am learning that I must format the memory card before every shoot (which I didn't normally do with previous cards) then I still have issues once I hit my digital darkroom to upload the images.

I had good experience using Lexar memory card before
March 17, 2016
I used it with my Nikon D810 DSLR, it works well in the first several weeks, but I started to get problem from time to time after not longer than 2 months. The camera warning message about kept popping up during shooting, I tried formatting it then seemed it's back to order, if kept using it the problem would happen again and again. I tried with my other old CF card(SanDisk 16G, Transcende 32G...) they all worked well. I reported this issue with the seller yet got no response, I gave up finally.I had good experience using Lexar memory card before, I think this time it's might just bad luck, so I bought another same one, let me keep fingers crossed see if it's just luck.
CAMERA INTERFACE PROBLEMS
February 28, 2016
Frequently gives me an "error" prompt in my Nikon D810 and tells me that the card is damaged and need replacement.I've bought two of these and BOTH have the problem. Turn the camera OFF, and turn it back on and it's fine...until it does it again.Very annoying.
Make sure you have a backup!
February 20, 2016
I came close to given these a 3 star, but because of the importance of what I have on mine I give it a 2. I've bought about 8 of the 32GB 800x. I've had 2 of them go bad. To be fair I have had 1000s of pictures on them and used them often. With that said when they did die there was no way of getting my images back. Thankfully I have had a backup in my camera. I use a 5D Mark III. They do stand by their warranty and that's why I was going to give them a 3 star. With proof of purchase, sending yours back they will send you a new one or sometimes a refurbished one. Getting refurbished truly ticks me off. Just saying. Customer service is polite and helpful which means a lot today. Make sure you use the current Lexar Card Reader. Off brands or the wrong kind and cause corruption on a card.

This is the 4th time I've had a sandisk fail on me. I kept going back because they really do honor their warranty and I would get replacement cards pretty quickly. However, I just lost all my work from a shoot. So you're dead to me sandisk. I'll never buy another SD product again. I have kingston and lexar cards from 8 years ago that I've never had an issue with. Should have stuck with those. (canon 5d IV & mac pro)

I don't know where else to address this issue other than here - Amazon only gives me two options - review the product or archive the order. This card is bad! How did I find out? Shot a full family session with it last week, and got home to find zero images on the card. Thank GOD for dual memory slots. I then tested several other cards in my camera, at first thinking it was my camera, not the card, but they all worked just fine. I then tested the bad card in a different camera, and again - no images found on the card.I need to return this and receive a refund, but don't see an option anywhere in Amazon to do so. I'll be happy to remove negative feedback if resolved.

CF card gave me "ERROR CF" about half of the times that I turned my camera on. Would have to remove the card and then reinsert it, and that would only sometimes read the card. I cannot trust this CF card, which is weird because I have been shooting 2 other Dandisk Extreme Pro 2GB cards for over 8 years and never had a problem. I returned the 32GB card and ordered a different brand CF card. This one was just not reliable enough.

that this model only used this super awkward media
August 8, 2017
I bought this card for my new (used) Canon 5d Mark II. I didn't realize before purchasing it, that this model only used this super awkward media. I've never owned a CompactFlash before, and I have no desire to use it again afterward. I'm not sure if this is typical of all CompactFlashes, or if I just got a bad one, but I used the card for about 3 weeks, and then it completely stopped functioning and being recognized by my camera. I thought it may be an issue with my camera, because I purchased it used, but I ran out to Best Buy and picked up another card that worked perfectly fine.So the quality for me definitely wasn't worth the steep price. I may have gotten a bad one out of the batch, but that was my experience.

This is the second memory card i purchased for my 5d Mark II. The first memory card lasted me about 4 months before it went bad during a shoot! Luckily I carry backups and was able to finish the shoot by retaking all the photos. The memory card was no longer readable or writable! I thought I had a faulty card due to a number of positive reviews... so I went ahead and purchased another card... This one didn't even last me 1 month. I used the card a total of 3 times and it went bad... The card was still able to read but i could no longer write to the card or format. I'm Never going to purchase another Lexar product... Maybe I had 2 faulty ones? Either way, having 2 cards die twice during a shoot is not worth spending any money on again.

January 10, 2016
Received this card about a month ago, and I have used it in the Canon 7D Mark II. This card is fast, but I have discovered that about 3-5% files are corrupted. The lightroom can not recognize and import those corrupted raw files, and in the case of a JPEG file, some sections of the shots are black. Replaced this card with a old slower compact flash card, the problem went away. Hence, I believe that this Lexar card is defective.
Lexar let me down when I needed them.
August 9, 2015
I bought this card as my primary storage in my D800 a couple of years ago. I took a winter trip to Alaska to shoot landscape(which is not even that stressful) and everything was going great until I downloaded the images. One of the guys I was out with brought his laptop so I handed him the CF and he downloaded my images, I had planned on reformatting it and being ready for the next days hike. When I put it back in the D800 I get nothing it is acting like there is no storage at all. I pull out the Lexar CF and it works fine on the SD card. I am stuck using single SD cards for the rest of the trip. I get back and start researching and it appears that the Lexar CF cards are finicky about the readers that are used with them. The net of it is I paid a premium because of the Lexar name and commitment to quality which when it came down to it did not work. I have since switched up to a bargain brand CF and it works fine. If I am going to have to pack in extras because they may fail I am not going to pay extra for a name. Lexar came off of my list of go to brands they will need to make their money on someone else.I am staying with the higher end ScanDisk products and have been experimenting with Komputer Bay now that Lexar has proven unreliable to me.

This card corrupted after three uses (about 2,000 photo count collectively), and of course, now I can't return it. Thankfully my camera has a back up storage option, as it corrupted during this weekend's wedding ceremony.

I used this card 4 times over 3 months and it stopped mounting on either the camera or computer. It lasted just long enough not to be returnable to Amazon.
