Great cards great price
July 4, 2017
So much faster and reliable than SD. I am a professional photographer and use these on a daily basis. This card is a great value and increases the frames you can capture significantly compared to their SD counterparts. Additionally, I've had several high end SD cards fail me before, but never experienced that with the CF cards. Definitely the way to go if you need more speed and reliability.
Great purchase! Just buy them if you need them...don't sufffer regret!

Pretty simple...works as stated and I have had no problems with these CF cards. I use them mostly for photos. With a few of these (as well as some 32 GB and 8 GB cards ) I never worry about running out of space...something I have experienced in the past. I have never had a failure with any of my Lexar cards. I have also used them to do video with my Canon 5D had no issues. Video can eat a ton of space quickly so these larger cards always give me comfort that I wont' miss the key moment(s). Went small and cheap years ago and missed some videos and photos with my sons. I don't go cheap or small any more.
GREAT CARD-HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
August 22, 2016
This is an excellent CompactFlash card. I only use either Sandisk or Lexar since I am a professional photographer and I cannot trust my images to off-brand media. I first purchased one of these 1066x cards to test it out. The transfers were very fast and without any issues. I just purchased a two-pack of these cards as I really need more than one for my work. One tip...I prefer to use smaller cards such as this 32 instead of 64 or 128 mb cards. The reason is that in the unlikely event that a card fails, it will not have as many images on it as a larger card. But in my 47 years as a pro photographer, with perhaps 20 years shooting digital, I had only one card failure. That was early on, and most of the images were recoverable using software. In any event, I highly recommend these cards. One more thing...as with any memory, the prices vary almost daily. I picked up a two pack today because the cost was as low as I've seen it. Keep your eye on the prices and then be ready to purchase when the price drops.
Reliable card-after-card.

I use these in my canon full-frame camera bodies - 5DIII and 5Dsr. I have yet to have one go bad or lose images. They have worked well from -15F to 115F. (The camera battery/body often start to get flaky below about zero, though.)Transfer rate both into the chip, and from chip to computer are excellent, and at or above ratings.I have more than 10 of these (or earlier versions) and I have never had a problem. Period.
Performance that keeps up with my D810
August 10, 2015
Finally, one fast enough for my camera. Since buying a Nikon D810, I was disappointed that the camera buffer took so long to write to the installed CF cards. The large file size from this camera seemed to be the issue. I bought this 1066x card, the fastest CF card on the market (that I know of) and now the buffer clears so quickly that I don't worry about turning the camera off prematurely. Also, I have enough capacity to shoot all day with no risk of filling it. Don't forget to download and activate the image rescue application that comes with this. If you lose the code on the enclosed paperwork, image rescue sells for about $35.
Very Fast CF card, doesn't seem to be faster than the 1000x but that's ok
April 14, 2014
So I got this card and it was immediately apparent that it was faster than my older 400x cards. I guess that is to be expected. Anyway, I started to wonder just how fast it was. I guess it's pretty new, there were no official reviews on the internet of this cardI did find this thread on the Fred Miranda Forum. [...]. Unfortunately there was no data available for this particular 1066x card. So, I decided I'd add my own. (I'm vw151 on FM) Here is what I found.1DX17-40L @ 24mmF/5.61/4000thISO100fresh batterymanual focus12FPSRAWLexar 32 GB UDMA 7 1066x ------------156 shots in a 30 sec burstI did the test 2x got 155 once, 156 onceAnother metric I thought might be useful in this thread was total size of the files produced to account for the difference in file size made by different cameras. The 1Dx vs the 1D4 for instance.Anyway in both cases, my combined total file size was about 3.19GB Do the math and that works out to about 106MB/second. File sizes are about 21MB per image. I think the frames recorded plus this data gives a clear picture of the card's performance.I have 2 cards. I'm gonna run the test 2 more times with the other card.********************************************OKI did 4 more tests on the 2nd card but changed up the parrameters in the 2nd 2 tests.155 shots 3.23GB RAW 12FPS Avg. 5.16 FPS 107.67MB/sec148 shots 3.11GB RAW 12FPS Avg 4.9 FPS 103.67MB/sec312 shots 1.57GB JPEG 12FPS Avg. 10.4 FPS 52.33MB/sec324 shots 1.63GB JPEG 14FPS, Mirror Locked Avg. 10.8 FPS 54.33MB/secThe interesting thing was, Jpeg @ 12FPS, It didn't sound like I ever got off the buffer but Jpeg @ 14fps it got into the buffer hard at about 10 seconds in. but it still made more pictures in 30 seconds.I also see file transfer rates from the card to an SSD or RAID0 at around 115MB/sec.Please keep in mind these are real world benchmarks, not lab tests. None the less, if I reproduced the test on the FM forum reasonably well it seems the write speed in a 1DX is no better than the 1000x which the tester managed 160 shots in 30 seconds. Nothing wrong with that as the 1066x is just the successor to the 1000x and it seems we are reaching the maximum of the CF interface with these cards.

If you need the speed this is it.
March 31, 2014
This review is from my perspective as a photographer. So there are times when "it's happening" (I shoot mostly concerts) and I cringe when the buffer on my camera fills and the shutter stalls and I see "that shot" being missed. If you have a camera that can take advantage of UDMA 7 (I shoot a Canon 5D Mark III and it can) and you need to make sure you get "that shot", then spend the dough and get this card.It writes to the card fast enough that you can shoot full speed continuously - forever.Spending thousands on a better lens doesn't mean a thing if the shutter doesn't click when you need it to.

Works well can shoot all day at daughters volleyball tournaments. Did not realize I would have to get a new card reader to download onto computer. Did not like that but I guess everything requires upgrades these days.
BAD CHIP!!
December 16, 2016
Used this chip on a couple of small shoots and only formatted it once .. went to shoot this morning and it was dead! Got it July 6 of this year. Lots of money for a chip that dies like it did. And if you look at the other reviews you will see that I am not the only one with this problem.I emailed a complaint about this chip to Lexar .. they got right back to me and gave me an RMA to return it. If it's bad they will replace it. I guess I can't beat that
As advertised (well... Sort of)

I just received mine with the seal on the box tampered/opened though nothing was missing and the cards do perform as it should based on my test. Seeing the box with a broken seal made me suspicious that the product might have been compromised. Well fortunately not.And I hope Amazon just updates the photo in this ad. Was a bit shocked to see a different product design. I just found out Lexar has a new sticker design for their cards.
First one died, second one works great. Worth the buy!
November 8, 2015
I purchased this card for my 7D Mark II and the first one I received died after shooting about 2 hours of video. It died after I placed in to a card reader. Amazon replaced the item no extra cost, and the new one is working perfectly. (Now unloading directly from the camera - actually faster since it's USB 3.0.) Shooting at 10 FPS, this card handles the speed with no issues.Worth the buy. 4/5 because I received a lemon.
Most people think; CF card are not fast enough ...
October 11, 2015
Most people think; CF card are not fast enough compared to XQD cards for the Nikon D4s. Well I must say, this is not true any more, as this CF card gives me 72 lossless 14 bit shots in one burst, which is just 6 shots short compared to the XQD Lexar x1333 card (78 shots burst), just about 10% less only, but also with a lower speed specification (x1066 vs x1333). For most people this difference is too little as to be of any importance. With Jpeg's both cards get 200 photos in one continous burst, the maximum possible.

Great Brand but this 1066 doesn't outperform my Lexar 800's in 7D II
March 13, 2015
I have used Lexar and San disk for years: they are superb products --- and it about kills me to leave a neutral review here. This is the third Lexar 32GB Pro card I've bought from Amazon / Amazon this year. The first two were 800 and they work perfectly in both the Canon 7D and 7DIII bought this 1066 for the 7DII as it has fast specs and reviews greater performance --- but I saw neither in comparison to the 800's.I was really surprised and made several comparision test runs using the exact same settings --- and difference was 1 shot --- sometimes.Maybe the 800's I got were faster than usual, or this one was slower --- anyway I returned it, but I cannot say enough about the Lexar brand: Just a note --- I just bought their CF reader.
Work fine but a concerning rattle noise.
March 7, 2015
Both of these memory cards have a rattle if they are shaken slightly. Lexar says this is normal, but none of my other cards do this. They work fine and are fast, but as a "solid state" type memory, they shouldn't rattle, in my opinion. I purchased two of them and they both do it.

Bought this card on Feb. Yesterday My friends and I went to DC for the cherry blossom. By the time we went back home, we took hundreds of photos with my 5d mark iii on the card but it became unreadable. I am desperate right now because all my friends' photos are in this card and it looks like they are never gonna get the beautiful pictures they liked so much. So... Thanks a lot Amazon and Lexar.P.S. I looked for help from a friend for recovering. He said the card was likely to be a counterfeit hence it's nearly impossible to recovery. I don't know if that's true or not.

I purchased this on January 11th. The first card worked fine. The second card I didn't start using for a month or two, and right off it had issues. I thought it was just me, but within about another months it started not showing up at all to a camera or computer. The card is completely useless.I would think that a card as expensive as this should work for more than a month or two.
Worst Card, Error Message when downloading
March 27, 2017
I have been using this card to shoot video since January and it's the worst. When I go to download my videos to my laptop, this card always reads as an error and I lose my work. My other card I got with my cannon from B&H has no problems at all. Never gives me an error message. Such a bummer and a waste of $60. I do NOT recommend anyone buy this company for cards.
but I am still not happy.

After two months of use, this card stopped working entirely. Formatting it does not fix the problem. The camera will not take pictures with it inserted. There are two different issues that I saw with this card--one is that it thought it was nearly full when it wasn't, and the second is that it then stopped working entirely and will not save photos. I thankfully did not lose anything unlike some other customers, but I am still not happy.

My wife just brought this card to me where I am photographing on assignment overseas. I bought two, actually. One is fine, the other one is clearly very used and is DOA. They are only giving me just over two weeks to return it, but shipping from Africa is a month. Right this second, I only have a macro lens on me, but you can see the scratches in the attached picture...it also has a dent. This really upsets me. Ugh.
Used twice. took about 1000 pictures and it stop working.
