September 3, 2017
This size SanDisk holds so may more digital images than my earlier SanDisk of 2GB. I am thrilled not to have to be careful about running out of space when I do a few weeks of photography while on vacation. This disk fits my Canon Rebel EOS camera with no problem and fits my card reader as well.
Depend on Reliable Media
May 19, 2017
Another curious concept, the 'compact-flash'. Fast becoming a relic of the early days of digital, it still may be found in certain circles in some pretty good equipment, and as storage continues to decline in cost, I find myself buying new cards and putting the old ones up instead of formatting them and starting over, again. Hey, it's digital, you know? Lots of weird things happen in the rarefied atmosphere of the digital ether, and I ain't takin' no chances on losing images because of some fold in the fabric of the space-time continuum. I prefer the better-known names of storage-manufacturers, and reading some reviews of the 'bargain' product out there is truly sobering/troubling. You don't want your images to disappear unexpectedly, do you? Remember that roll of film you shot entirely on 'manual-focus' with the wrong settings? On the last rolls of Kodachrome to be pulled over the cogs in your 35mm? Well, lose a bunch of shots on faulty digital media and you're in the same zip-code of the land of misery...
Finally, my 1st generation iPod Mini is working again!
April 21, 2017
I've been trying to fix my 1st gen iPod Mini whose harddrive had died for a long time. Following various online tutorials I had first tried a 32GB Compact Flash card but no matter what I tried I could not get the recovery process to work as described. As a last resort and after reading some posts that made it seem that only the 2nd gen Mini would work with a 32GB card I tried this 8GB card and now my Mini is working again.
The Continuing Excellence of SanDisk
October 23, 2016
This memory card is all that you would expect from SanDisk. I have used their products from ~ 2006/7 and have always been satisfied. I needed a larger capacity card for a photo shoot in Colorado so my first choice was to look on Amazon since I can never find anything in stores. I was pleased to find this 16GB FlashCard with its <$17 cost. In my opinion you cannot do better than SanDisk. They are also innovators with some of their very small Ultra Fit drives. I am very happy with them and have never lost any data from any device. Thanks SanDisk.
Works well
November 24, 2015
I purchased this for a Nikon D200, that I converted myself to an infra red only camera. I don't like to buy this brand because compatibility is always a concern. I once purchased a SanDisk SD 32GB for my D7000 that didn't work. So, I usually look, elsewhere for memory. I think it was the price that got my attention. This card hasn't failed me, once. While I can highly recommend this CF card, I still won't purchase an SanDisk SD card.
SanDisk 16GB Ultra CF Memory Card
March 30, 2014
Great memory cards. Unfortunately my Canon 40D is not recommended to use the newer UMDA memory cards, but this card is quick and has not given me any issues at all. I bought 5 of these cards for wedding photography (use L lenses so the 40D works great unless there is super low light) Would recommend these memory cards to photographers who have older cameras that cannot use the UMDA cards. BTW, I do use a SanDisc UMDA card in my 40D, has worked perfect, but can't take chances during weddings.

Good CF for IDE replacement
August 1, 2017
I'm using this CF card paired with a CF to IDE adapter as a replacement system drive for an Apple PowerMac G3 running OS 9.2, for which it works nicely. The computer identified the CF right away as a writeable and bootable drive, and there was about 15GB usable after formatting. When compared to the original 6GB HDD the computer now boots faster, applications load faster, and there's no drive noise!

Works fine as a replacement drive in an old P3 laptop when combined with a CF to 44-pin adapter. Unless you are really trying to pinch pennies, i would go for the faster 64gb extreme module. Also, when using Windows XP, you should look at modifying the Hitachi microdrive filter driver to get windows to stop thinking it's a removable drive.
Still love it after all these years
April 22, 2017
My Compact Flash Card SLR is still operating nicely, even though the screen is about half the standard size cameras are now. Glad I could get Gigs instead of Megs. For some reason, my old camera has a Macro bias that I like. With this card, I can keep my older camera in the bag and not on the shelf. Hazzar!
Great CF card for me!
September 6, 2016
Happy with this cf card. Just went on an EPIC camping and hiking trip. I wasn't as concerned about data transfer rates, so this card was priced right! I used the card and it worked very well. Thanks!UPDATE: I got a new computer. Somehow while transferring the photos from the card to my external hard drive, I managed to delete the entire card. This has never happened to me before, but I was able to retrieve all the images on the card. I just wanted to update my review. I don't think losing the images had anything to do with the card, but being able to retrieve them was not doubt due to the name brand CF card and not a random generic.
Works good after my intitial scare.
November 25, 2015
Ordered the 32 gb card as my old card was misplaced and the family is going on a special vacation. Loaded it into camera and computer to make sure everything works and there is only 2 gb of memory on the card. I paid a pretty penny for the 32 gb, it says it's 32. Both camera and computer showed 2gb. I decided I needed to use it at least I had that much. After taking a few pictures the camera shut down and showed error on the screen, I freaked out but when I turned it back on it went from it originally showing it could take 600 pictures to almost 2000 pictures. Still not what I wanted but better than nothing. And it ended up holding all the pictures of our vacation so far. When I can load it back into a computer I will be able to see how many gb are showing up now.
I was helped

Review Update This is a long over due review_ After talking with Sandisk and explaining the problem that I had with the card they were able to supply me with a recovery program and I then was able to retrieve my photos. I was able to get all my photos that I had taken. It was also advised that I should reformat the card, I reformatted the card and have not had any other problems. I got the photos off the card before reformatting.Took Photos with this card for the first time today. Out of 261 picture only a few can be viewed. I also have some strange file names that exe as extensions on them. This has never happen before. I will be returning this item if I am not able to understand what happen.

Not good for Nikon D70

This card will not work with my Nikon D70. Perhaps it is too fast. I will have to return it.
CF CARD ERROR
June 5, 2017
ARRIVED IN VENICE ITALY. INSERTED CARD INTO MY CANON CAMERA AND ALL I SAW WAS CF CARD ERROR IN THE DISPLAY. MY TWO OTHER CARDS ARE FROM SANDISK. I'M GLAD I TOOK MY OLD FLASH CARDS, I WAS ABLE TO TAKE PICTURES IN VENICE AND GREECE. IT'S TO LATE TO RETURN IT. MAY BE A DEFECT. UPDATE. SANDISK CONTACTED ME AND WILL TRY TO GET IT TAKEN CARE OF..

As a Portrait and product Photographer i dont really need fast shoot speeds like a sports photographer does
January 31, 2017
Does the Job, Fairly Quick. Although this isn't the fastest CF Card on the market, I find Sandisk cards fairly reliable and a reputable brand! As a Portrait and product Photographer i dont really need fast shoot speeds like a sports photographer does. This CF Card gets the job done if you dont need super lighting speed shooting, but if you do id go checkout and invest in the upgrade version, which i also own, for a few extra bucks.
Be Careful. this may not work in older cameras
May 27, 2016
For some reason, which could be the age of my camera, this does not work. It won't format completely, so I am unable to return it. They should tell you this before you buy it.
I'm really disappointed with this product
February 3, 2015
I'm really disappointed with this product. I recently bought two of these cards and after the first week one of them was corrupt and I lost all of my images. Luckily it was not for an important shoot, but had it been for a wedding or a paid shoot I would have been in a lot of trouble. Talking to my coworkers they have also had some trouble with this card being easily corrupted. I am a little upset, although for a cheaper product you can't really expect too much I suppose.

Issues with speed.
July 1, 2017
Seems like I'm having a unique experience of it sometimes operating REALLY slow. It will delay me in taking the next picture almost to the point where it would be detrimental in certain situations. I shoot in large jpeg on a few year old Canon 50D. I may have to switch back to my ol

Only half happy
January 24, 2015
I purchased two identical discs as Christmas gifts for my daughter who is a professional photographer. As she geared up for her first wedding to shoot this year, she just informed me that one of the two discs does not work. It gives her an error message. They came in their original packages so I don't understand why one would be defective.
2 DOA!
July 30, 2014
2 of them arrived DOA. Nothing, zilch, nada. They both locked up my 5D3 and 7D. They wouldnt allow it to power on. I sent them back and ordered the extreme pros. I am sure it was just a bad batch, but a little scary to get two bad cards in a row!

Trash! Keep shopping.
August 13, 2017
These are trash. I bought four of them. They are all trash. They won't read on my card reader, I have to import from my D700 and that takes ages. They are not reliable and when I format them they often don't wipe all the photos so I have weddings mixed with a random session from last week. These cards are a nightmare. Keep shopping.
Disappointing waste of an entire day.
February 7, 2017
Purposely chose a card with high reviews since I depend on my photos professionally. Spent an entire day shooting. The next day I attempt to upload my photos only to find that the card was toast. Tried the card back in the camera and was greeted with a card error. An entire days worth of work wasted.I wonder if SanDisk began shipping an inferior product after establishing good reviews. Check out the other 1-star reviews who all encountered my same issue.Look elsewhere if your photos actually mean something to you.
I looked at the pictures on my camera- they looked great. I got home
October 19, 2015
I got the card, formatted it, then used it for a shoot for the first time. I looked at the pictures on my camera- they looked great. I got home, tried to load the pics onto the computer, and they wouldn't load. I then put the card back into my camera and it couldn't read the pics anymore, saying it was corrupted. I tried a data recovery program and it still didn't work. It's such a huge bummer- I lost the whole shoot. :(ETA: February 15, 2016 I got a replacement card of this same one, and this one also failed on me today!!! So upset!
Unreliable card with extremely poor Quality Control - Failed after two weeks of intermittent use
April 2, 2015
After two weeks of use this card failed in my Canon 7D Mark II. With valuable data on it. Sandisk support tells me there are no consumer data recovery tools for this situation and recommend an expensive data recovery firm. I've used other brands for years without issues. This card is problematic and not worth risking your valuable data to. Extremely poor quality control and no support from Sandisk. Avoid at all costs if your data matters to you.
Not Reliable
January 27, 2015
I shoot sports a majority of the time and needed a card that could write quickly without any hassle, was reliable, and didn't break the bank. This was one of the cards that fit the bill and I had good past experience with Sandisk, so, why not? Transfer speeds were fast, as well as the read & write speeds -- there is nothing I can complain about, except for one MAJOR problem that cropped up: The reliability. After a month of usage on sports assignments, the card became bricked and stopped working suddenly. Came back from assignment to try and load the photos through a USB card reader to no luck; couldn't even review the images in the camera -- had to use an older camera laying around and transferred via USB cable through the camera. An hour in to shooting, 2 files became corrupt, the first showed a few horizontal lines of corruption, second was completely lost, and the third was normal again. Tried to review on the older camera again (worked before transferring photos) and even that couldn't read it anymore. Neither of my cameras nor my computer could read, re-format, or use the card anymore. Not entirely sure what happened, but that's one card down for the count. Quite disappointed it failed so quickly (~1 month) when my other Sandisk card has been going strong for years. Nothing is more disheartening to a photographer than a card that bricks with un-transferred photos still on it. Received a replacement today and hopefully, the previous one was just a dud that slipped through QC. May update this review as time goes on.UPDATE: Change from 3 to 1 star (Jan. 29, 2015):---Maybe I'm just unlucky with this particular card, but it FAILED AFTER ONE USE. Didn't get as lucky this time and lost all the photos. This is simply unacceptable for anyone. I wanted to like this card for the value and speed, but these reliability issues are simply too much. Card wrote just fine but was not able to be read again by the camera or computer. Gave the replacement a chance and it ended up being worse than the first card... Going for a refund. Maybe next time, Sandisk.
Card failed to work in my Canon 7D Mk II.
December 6, 2014
This comment is based on the first example of the card I received. The card would not format in my Canon 7D Mk II hence it was of no use to me. I have no idea whether it will format in other devices, since I have no other cameras that use the compact flash format currently in my possession (having just sold the other camera I had that uses this format). I have two other SanDisk Compact Flash cards that work with this camera, so I do not believe that this is a camera fault. I have returned it for a replacement and will update the post once I have tested the replacement. This is the first time I have ever had a failure with a SanDisk card (I have over 50 of them, most of them SDHC cards), so I hope this is not the result of this being a fake and is just a one off failure.Update 8 December: I received a second card and it also failed to format in my Canon 7D Mk II. I also tried it with an adaptor on my MBPro and the card failed to be recognised. I have returned the card for a refund this time around. My Canon 7D MKII works perfectly with two other CF cards in my possession (a rather old 1 GB Sandisk card and a new 32 GB SanDisk Extreme 32 GB card) so I have to assume the problem is with the card itself. I have no idea what is causing the problem but the supplied cards do not work for me. I hope other people have better luck.
