Their stranded on a deserted island could only bring one oil oil! DoTERRA Lavender is mine. I go through about four bottles a month. I use it every night in all the kids and my diffusers, I give the kiddos foot rubs with it, and I use it night and day as a face serum. DoTERRA's Lavender smells so unique from any other lavender out there. It is truly incredible! I have tested it against ten other brand's Lavender and DoTERRA won by a long shot, not only just for its pleasant scent but it won by level of effectiveness as well. I must say I was a little hesitant to order Doterra off of Amazon after reading some reviews and horror stories about getting fake or diluted Doterra from vendors trying to make a buck. I had initially added all the Doterra products I wanted to my cart without considering this. Good Lavender ScentMarch 12, 2016 I received the doTerra Lavender essential oil in a package along with a 32 fl. oz. plastic bottle of Heritage Store castor oil. Both arrived early and undamaged. The Lavender EO was filled to a little above the bar code. I compared the scent with a 5ML bottle I have left from the Physician's Kit and the 15ML bottle smells just as good. I find it can often have sharp (I think of it as 'celery') tones to it. This, not so much. I read of the differences of Bulgarian Lavender vs French Lavender. Since I am new to aroma therapy I figured what the heck and bought both. I will tell you for using in a diffuser, no difference so save some serious $$ and go with Bulgarian. I have been using this nightly in a diffuser on my nightstand and it is just wonderful. I have also rubbed a couple drops on my feet as I read that can help relax you and I need all the help I can get to sleep well. Now I won't say it has changed my sleep pattern tremendously but I will say I am very soothed and relaxed with the wonderful scent. The oil is great, I add 5 drops in the diffuser and the room fills with the lavender scent but NOT over whelming. This is a terrific product and a very good value. I will purchase again! Great product and a great value!August 26, 2016 I seem to go through alot of Lavender at my house. One thing is that my oldest daughter is obsessed with the smell and uses it in her salt lamp. My housekeeper loves to add it to her own concoction of her homemade version of Febreze. I love to add a few drops to my laundry softener and it really gives my sheets a lovely smell. I think the other lavender oils I've tried they had that very commercial -- for lack of a better term -- lavender smell. That very perfumey, pleasant smell you get from lavender scented products. This has more of the true lavender smell. It smells like a lavender plant. I like green, plant scents so the smell of true lavender was welcoming to me. I've used this oil (diluted of course) to make lavender beauty water for my face, in my scalp oil mixture, I put a few drops into a pot of boiling water to perfume the apartment with that fresh lavender scent. I even add it to my cool mist humidifier. I truly love it. I will be buying this again. |
