A classic!
June 7, 2017
If you can't have fun with a box of legos than I don't know what to tell you! They are a classic and have stood the test of time as who doesn't like letting their imagination run wild while constructing little kingdoms! These have provided Hours of fun for my toddlers and I!
Good add on collection
February 27, 2017
Got this via amazon warehouse deals. Lower cost and still in new packaging. Good selection of colors (includes pastels, darker colors). Lots of odd pieces. Has 4 small wheels, eye balls, one glass door plus frame, one glass window plus frame. Some transparent pieces and a mail box door plus frame. Good add on collection.
Awesome for the price!
November 2, 2016
We bought these for my seven-year-old for his birthday because he loves legos. We were originally going to buy him the big box of legos from Wal-Mart, but decided to buy the smaller one on here. At first, it didn't look like 200 pieces, but it was. I love that they included a booklet with some of the projects you can build in the box. The others we had to get online to do, but that was fine. He loved using his tablet to build the project and it was easier for him to follow since the booklet kept closing on him. I also like that they now include a tool to get the legos apart. This is one of those things that I wish they had done when I was a kid, but am glad they have decided to make. As a parent, my child is always coming to me to get the legos apart. I will definitely be buying more in the future!
Lego family for life
September 18, 2016
We love Legos. I bought this for my son for his 8th birthday and he's played with this more than the video games. We've spent hours as a family building different things. It comes with instructions which made it easy for my son to build different options. I was surprised at how many options you have.
Great gift for any Lego lover!
December 17, 2015
I ordered this set as a gift, but I already owned a set (and I'm an adult). For kids of any age (that won't try to swallow it or shove it up their nose), this set is the ultimate inexpensive creative set. You can usually find it less than $20 and no matter how many of this set a kid gets, the possibilities of building are limitless. This set is great for boys or girls and includes a helpful "ideas" book as well. Being in the internet age, there are thousands of ideas posted throughout the internet if you can't figure out something to make with it. Otherwise, just go forth and build!
Good Little Assortment of LEGOs
February 6, 2015
I feel like this little set is under-appreciated. Our family purchased this set, the two Classic Creative Supplements (LEGO Classic Creative Supplement &LEGO Classic Creative Bright Supplement), and the LEGO Classic Medium Creative Brick Box to create Lego goodie bags for my son's birthday party and I feel this set holds its own in terms of variety, colors, and mini-builds.First, if you are able to purchase this set a little below retail ($16.99) its an equal value (price per brick) as the two Supplements set. Even at retail it is a fair value when compared to any licensed Lego set price per brick.Second, the images of this set show only HALF the pieces included. The box is small (does it matter? I don't keep assorted pieces in the original container; they go onto the epic lego pile which is the kids' room) and the printing of the included pieces is on two sides of the package. That is because there are few repeat pieces and a GREAT variety for a small set. There are 2 types of wheels, a plastic door and window, plates (including a fair sized green plate), propellers, and slanted roof bricks. Plus there are Lego eyes! Sweet. The mini-builds are all small but so is the set. And its still fun to see how few bricks it requires to make a complete animal (only 10 bricks for a cute sheep!). And though they are simple I was sad to give up the pencil and eraser into the goodie bags.If you can pick this up at a discount, even 10%, this set is worth the price.

My son was ready for something other than the duplos ...
July 23, 2017
My son was ready for something other than the duplos. I decided to get this as a starter set. He is really fascinated with anything with wheels. Unfortunately as I was helping him make the airplane pictured I got to looking for the wheels that are supposed to go with the little racecar. I found 4 tires but only 3 actual wheels for the build of that in the box. I couldn't find that piece anywhere. So 4 stars are all it gets. We will probably supplement with another set later.
Lego's as I remember them.
July 11, 2017
Lego's as I remember them , growing up, none of the themed sets, but unadulterated creativity. I would opt for 5 stars, but the only thing I wish it would have come in an all plastic container, instead of a cardboard box with a plastic top.
Not sure it is worth the price
May 17, 2017
First the box is really small and cardboard with a plastic top.It has 4 tiny bags a quarter of the way full of tiny pieces. The biggest price in this set is a 2x4 base piece.....I should have taken a picture. No it worth it in my opinion.
Great product -- storage container is pretty lame
January 18, 2016
Great little set for the Lego newbie. I bought it for my 5 year old daughter, who is always raiding my son's Legos. My only complaint is that the box it comes in is cardboard with a plastic lid. I thought it was coming in a more permanent box that she could use to keep her Legos in, but that is not the case. So if you are getting this set for the box as well as the bricks, don't bother. Or at least be advised that it is not the storage box that it claims to be.But the set instructions that it comes with are great. They are just the right difficulty level for my 5 year old. Doable, but still challenging enough to hold her interest and get her thinking.
fun!
January 15, 2016
Tons of tiny little pieces. We gave this set as gifts to several kids, and they all loved them. I wish the box were smaller though, because it's way too big to use as storage (there are not that many pieces), so you need to get a different container or resign to take up way more space than needed if using the box as permanent storage.
Great supplemental set.
January 12, 2016
Purchased this set for my 11-year-old brick fanatic for Christmas. He was thrilled with the assortment of "odd" pieces that it comes with (little things like eyes, single studs shaped like flowers, doors, windows, etc) that used to be really hard to find outside of sets, and also really happy that he got some bricks in colors that don't often come in "boy" sets, like purple. I'm not sure it would get much use as a stand-alone set since it only builds a handful of little things on its own, but it's a good starting point for a collection or supplement for a kid who, like mine, already has a good collection of Legos and is looking for uncommon extra parts. The only disappointment is the box, seems silly to me to put a Lego shaped plastic lid on a cardboard box that won't hold up long for storage use, but we also bought him a Lego head storage container so it worked out alright anyhow.

The box is made of cardboard
August 14, 2017
There aren't as many Legos in this package as you'd think based on the images. It does have instructions for building the items depicted on the box.I thought the body of this container would have been plastic. The lid is plastic, the body is cardboard. I can't let the kids play with this container or they'll destroy it.
Carton board box with small amount of brick for the price
August 6, 2017
This is an ok set w/ carton board made box w/ much less lego bricks. I purchased for my 6 & 9yo to have variety extra bricks to build out from their creations. Less bricks for the price.NOTEs: buyer considers the plastic box rather for lego storage. This one is not!
Bought 2 for my nephews Christmas
April 18, 2017
The box that these legos comes in is huge compared to the amount of legos that you actually receive. I ended up having to get a whole other set of legos just so that it didn't seem like I gave them a really small amount. It is worth it to pay a little more for the bigger sets. Other than that being said, the legos themselves were fine! It came with a good variety and a little booklet saying how to make some things with the legos. The boys just like to use their imagination. Also, I would suggest going to a place like home depot and getting a sturdy container because while the top is plastic the bottom is cardboard. I actually took the top and hot glued it onto a cheap container I bought at home depot and the boys loved it!
This set includes a good variety of pieces
August 21, 2016
This set includes a good variety of pieces, however I'm giving a lower rating due to the container that they came in. I wish I would've read more reviews before purchasing. The top is the durable plastic as seen in the stock photos, however the bottom is all cardboard. It seems sturdy for the time being, but I imagine it will wear/break with time and use, then the very cool cover would be useless too.
Non-Sturdy storage container.
August 1, 2016
While you can never go wrong with classic Legos, I was disappointed in this product. the product description says it come with a "sturdy" storage container, which I have to disagree with. The lid is made of a sturdy plastic, however the box itself is simple cardboard. with the age range listed from 4-99 cardboard will not hold up to any 4 year old that I know. As far as the Lego pieces they are the great joy you would expect from Lego. I would recommend having a different storage container for this set.
Not very many pieces for price. Advertises a lot ...
February 8, 2016
Not very many pieces for price. Advertises a lot of pieces, but a lot of the pieces fit together to make one piece. Can only make about 6 small things with this set and it's all pre-determined stuff; airplane, car, lighthouse, boat, horse, pink shop. Whatever happened to just having a standard set of blocks and leaving it to the kids imagination on what they build instead of pre-determined pieces that only fit one way.

Bricks come in a nice sized cardboard box (not even plastic any more)
September 30, 2017
Bricks come in a nice sized cardboard box (not even plastic any more), and by the time you take the blocks out of plastic bags, you realize the container is about 1/4 full of specialized little pieces, and not many building bricks. Really disappointed, considering the cost.

Not Impressed
April 11, 2017
The reason I bought this is because it showed a plastic lid and stated "comes with sturdy storage box" so you assume the box is entirely plastic... Its a plastic lid with a flimsy card board box. Not impressed at all.
I have purchased Lego since my own children were young - 30 years ago - still have it and it is in wonderful condition including
December 25, 2016
It's so very cheap. The container is made of thin cardboard or thick paper. It is not made to last. I have purchased Lego since my own children were young - 30 years ago - still have it and it is in wonderful condition including the containers they came in. I thought I would order this for my grandson who is 4 and really enjoyed playing with the older sets of Legos that I had kept through the years; however, so very disappointed how it arrived.

I expected a plastic container, but was a cardboard box.
Tiny tiny legoes.
February 18, 2017
A lot of very very small pieces. Not usable for much.
Looks cheap, not durable
January 25, 2017
I was disappointed when we received the lego box. The box was beat up and torn up and I just made of a flimsy cardboard. It was intended for a Christmas gift, sadly, it looked cheap.
I really was not pleased with this buy
January 21, 2017
I really was not pleased with this buy, I did not expect the patts to be so small and the container is made of paper at least it could have been plastic seeing that alot of great designs ate,on the outside
Beware - all small pieces.
December 28, 2016
These are all tiny tiny pieces. Not many blocks at all. The total volume of this is about 2 cups of Legos - a total waste of money.
One of the pieces is missing from the package
September 20, 2016
There are 2 clear blue plastic pieces, one big and one small, and the big one is missing from my package.
