Amazing performance for the money. Support/drivers could be improved.
March 15, 2016
Very good laptop. Performance is amazing, keyboard & touchpad are perfectly sized and aligned. Upgraded HDD to SDD (Samsung 850 + mSATA2SATA adapter), Win10 loading time is a few seconds now. Display & connectivity are very good, wifi antenna proves to be improved as claimed.Only one issue: ALPS touchpad driver doesn't work for 2FingerTap in win10... No right click with 2 fingers. Simple, untreated BUG. Lenovo should offer better support or go with some proper HW providers (Synaptics).
Great laptop, nice touchscreen, solid
January 8, 2016
Excellent laptop, solid construction. I have been using it now for about 2 weeks, had some weirdness with the video driver at first but it seems to have sorted itself out with Windows updates. Will edit this review later if I have any more problems with that. Lenovo customer service was very polite and helpful when I had them call me. Everything works great, love the keyboard and the touch screen.Update 9/17/2016:Have been using this laptop for a while now...it is a little slow at times but has been solid and reliable. Occasionally the graphics card will bug out a little in Firefox but it doesn't crash and isn't too annoying. Something is screwy with that, the touchscreen driver has disabled itself a few times, it's tricky to reset it but google search will get you through it.
Great PC for daily use
December 23, 2015
After buying the Lenovo Flex 3 for Black Friday I'm really happy with it, really fast and great looking. The screen has a very good resolution, with the touch being very acurate, the only downside is the DPI problem windows 10 has which is a little bummer, but it is only noticed is very few programs. The computer brings several lenovo pre-installed apps, which are easy to get rid if you want to. The pc battery is not the best, lasting about 3 hours, but the chord is small and it charges up quickly. Overall a great PC for someone interested in using it on a daily bases, great for work, school and for entertainment purposes.

DO NOT HESITATE! This is an amazing, UPGRADABLE to Win-10, LAPTOP!
November 28, 2015
I was searching for a laptop to use to write blogs, surf the web, do research, download apps, one that had plenty of memory to multitask, and plenty of storage for all the useless things I need space for lol. I do love to take photos, edit them, watch movies and write. This laptop serves every purpose I needed it for. I am In love with its small compact size, it fits in my lap perfectly, people say its small, its not "that small" its actually the perfect size for female laps and female hands... its easy to transport, its light and its amazing. The ONLY issue I have is the keyboard is flat and takes a little getting use to, but in the two weeks I have had it I have gotten more use to it and I can type at my normal speed. The keys are flat so they are a little harder to detect where they are... but with a little time getting use to it... it all falls right back into place and its like I never had an issue to start with. It is like anything else, it takes getting use to.I saw a review that worried me, the lady said that the flex part of the laptop would get stuck, for example; when the laptop opens into the clam shell stage, then to the tent stage, then to the tablet mode. That reviewer said it would get stuck and she gave this laptop a horrible review for that. It has a warranty and I am positive that if the laptop had not worked properly within the warranty time, that Lenovo would have taken care of the issue. Like all reviews online, we have to overlook some of them. I am positive that she must have gotten a laptop that missed inspection, a refurbished, maybe damaged in shipping, or maybe even the laptop had been dropped or forced in a way that it bent the hinges. I did a ton of research on the hinge capability and the hinge strength on the flex 3 and there were nothing but good reviews that I came across...except that one. Anyway, my Flex 3 is smooth and goes into positon perfectly...I researched laptops for 3 months and I was sick of research, I filled up an entire notebook full of specs from every major brand, make and model of laptops from 10" to 17", 2GB of memory to 16GB and those what I call "wanna be laptops" chrombooks, netbooks, android books... And then I got lead right back to regular laptops, from windows 7 to windows 10. I decided that I would pay a little more and get a laptop that was going to last and one that I knew I would not have constant issues with, Lenovo, a Brand I know and LOVE! Sometimes It is best to stick with what you know works, even if you have to pay a little more than intended. It was WELL worth every penny. YES!!!!! Windows 10 CAN be put on this laptop. I bought it with windows 8; then 3 days later after I used windows 7 for a little bit, just in case I didn't like windows 10 I could just go back to windows 8. I love windows 10. I installed windows 10 with no issues whatsoever. I went to the Lenovo site and I followed the steps for install there. The reason I a mentioning this is because there was a question on the purchase page with the details of this laptop that asked "Can windows 10 be installed on this laptop" someone answered "Lenovo doesn't recommend it" well, that freaked me out because I didn't see that until after I placed my order. So I began yet MORE research and discovered that whoever put that answer on there should probably not answer questions that they know nothing about. I went to the Lenovo website and researched which of their products DID NOT meet the requirements for windows 10.Flex 3 is not on that list. It is fully compatible and with no issues as I sit here writing this review from my Flex 3 with windows 10 installed perfectly onto the Flex 3. I promise you it works perfectly fine. Also they are selling this exact same laptop for 500.00 to 900.00 with the promise that it will come with a free windows update. Until June or July of 2016, (do not quote me on that exact month put that is pretty close) windows 10 is FREE for anyone running windows 7 and 8. Of course in order to upgrade FREE to windows 10 you have to have space on your laptop. But do yourself a favor and buy the NEW in a box flex 3 (or any other laptop that meets the requirements, if you are unsure go to the manufacture website and look it up) and save yourself up to 600.00 and install windows 10 yourself, its easy. There are instructions all over the internet (and your manufactures website) on how to do it if you are unsure. Do not fall prey to those trying to make money off people that don't know they are getting scammed.Anyway, hits Flex 3 11" laptop is perfect. I could NOT be happier. This is my 4th Lenovo laptop in the past 12 years. The only reason I ever sold the pervious ones was due to needing an upgrade. You will not be saving yourself a few dollars by going with a lesser brand. Lenovo had never let me down in the past and they have not let me down this time either. And yes, I am running windows 10 on my computer, the computer I am doing the review on. I have had this laptop for about weeks now and windows 10 works just perfect. No bugs, its not slower than before, there are no issues. Do not be afraid of the things that you will read online from people that do not know what they are talking about, I say that because I was that scared person. I was so nervous about downloading windows 10 due to all the bad stuff I read online. Its fine, Trust me and I am NOT a computer wiz. I know only the bare minimum and I did just fine. Also if you are looking for a great laptop... this laptop or Lenovo as a company will not let you down. I have owned HP's, Gateways, Dells and Lenovos... Lenovo has had me the past 12 years... NO! I do not work for Lenovo, I am not getting paid to write this I did not even get a free laptop to write this review. However, I would LOVE to write as many reviews as I could get the opportunity to write because that is how I make MY decisions, I read reviews. Without them I would be totally lost. I hope my hour long review writing helps you I hope I covered everything that plagued me for weeks as I tried to make up my mind on what to purchase. It was stressful, I hope I make someone else's purchasing easier.

Great computer
Errors with the graphics driver - However they have now been resolved
October 24, 2015
I had graphics problems with the desktop I built using the new Skylake processor. The display driver would keep stopping when using web pages. I kept trying different things and finally found a PDF showing the recommended memory for my new motherboard. This resulted in my changing the memory chips and suddenly I no longer had any issues. Now I am having the same problem with my new Lenovo. It is not a total show stopper since I can do most anything else, but it really is annoying. I also can't use a plugable hub because the external monitor doesn't display properly. My old Dell from work is running Windows 10 and everything works fine. That rules out the other hardware and the software. I am seriously afraid they put lousy memory in this machine and I am not about to open it up and change it out.11/8/15 - The system has now grown stable. If even works with my plugable dock. I am not sure if it was windows 10 or driver updates that fixed the issues. I am just glad it working correctly now. I upped my rating from 1 to 4 stars. I can't give it 5 stars because I don't think Lenovo should have released the product until all the bugs were worked out.

Decent Laptop, But Slow
December 21, 2015
This isn't a bad laptop, but I'm not wowed by it either. With people increasingly favoring tablets over desktop computers, this touchscreen laptop is trying to be both. At 14" in size, it's far from compact and as convenient as a tablet would be, but it is nice to have a full keyboard. It folds up so that you could rest it on your lap or have it stand. This is nice for long car ride or plane ride where you might want to watch movies. Although it doesn't have a CD/DVD drive so these would need to be movies you had downloaded. My biggest issue with this laptop is how slow it is. When turning off the laptop, it takes it nearly a full minute to fully shut down. When turning on, it takes about 30 seconds before the login screen comes up. Maybe I'm impatient, but I'm used to more responsive technology than this. I always instinctively think that the laptop has frozen because it just seems to take a long time. Obviously a laptop like this is just fine for basic functions like email, internet, word, etc. But I wouldn't recommend it for much more than that, like gaming. It's also annoying that they pre-loaded it with so much software because constantly little windows are popping up saying "do you want to start your 14 day trial?" just slows it down even more.
Tablet or laptop? This would be a great machine if it would decide what it was!
November 28, 2015
Pros:As you can see from the specifications, it's a fairly powerful machine. It's also a touchscreen, and the fact that it flips over into a tablet is a neat feature. However...Cons:The inner workings of this machine are much too powerful for its packaging, and therein lies the problem. As others have stated, its speed is throttled somewhat, making it rather frustrating to use. It's also quite heavy, making it an impractical tablet, and it gets hot quickly (again - not super convenient for holding on your lap). An SSD would make this MUCH better and faster, even if it meant sacrificing some of the considerable hard drive space.I'm not really sure for what purpose this was designed. While it would be great for watching movies or the like, it's too much of a machine to use as essentially a netbook (not too mention too heavy). That said, it's too slow for the speed of its processor, so it's not a great machine for gaming or for anything powerful. Its weight also makes it impractical for carrying around as a day-to-day laptop (for note taking or the like), and the HDD makes it impractically slow for using as a fast-waking tablet.

you have to have a Microsoft Account to use ANY of these apps. I attempted to sign up for an account, and I kept getting redirected out of the site. The tablet does not allow me to upload photos onto Facebook. Otherwise, it's fine. It holds a charge pretty well...web cam works great for my online work meetings.

Touchscreen sucks!
January 27, 2016
First of all the touchscreen only works sometimes. When I opened the box I had to download software to make it work. I usually have to restart it atleast once while i'm using it to get the touch to work again. Also when using it in tablet mode the screen doesn't fold all the way flat making it awkward to hold. This will be my last Lenovo product!
Too many issues
January 12, 2016
First of all I noticed that the mouse pad was either too sensitive or just buggy. During normal web browsing there was always times that it would zoom in or out just from a stray finger. Never had the issue on my previous laptop (HP Envy). The mouse pad also would seemingly randomly scroll super fast all the way down the page, and then all the way up the page until a single click was made somewhere. Then, while watching a movie, the Flex 3 suddenly went black and shut off. It would not turn on even while plugged in. When plugged in, I wouldn't get a light showing that the charger was attached. Finally after a couple weeks (since I was travelling), I tried the power button again and it came back on. Then it seemed to work "fine". Still had the mouse pad issues. Overall I liked the build, it seemed like a sleek solid laptop, but there were just too many issues to be able to trust this computer. Also, when in tablet mode, the on screen keyboard covered most of the windows you type in, so you couldn't see what you were typing unless you closed the on screen keyboard.

Why did this come with windows 10 when windows 8.1 was what was advertized?

It's a pretty nice laptop but it has issues with heat and came with windows 10, which was not what was advertised. Now I'm searching for a way to get windows 8.1 on this, because windows 10 is trash.UPDATE: Seriously, it can't even scroll through facebook without having to sit and load. I can do that on my kindle with the same internet connection, and that's like 4 years old!The touch screen on this doesn't work that well either.I can't activate windows 10 because I don't have a product key.Sometimes it randomly scrolls.

Bad quality laptop
July 3, 2017
The first one we got didn't work so we sent it back and got a new one also from Amazon. Not even a year has passed and it has not been working properly at all. It turns off and stops working sporadically. Finally about a month ago it stops working completely. Turns out the hard drive is broken Now we have to buy a new hard drive. I am not sure if it's bad quality of Lenovo laptops or bad suppliers from amazon but it's a real shame. I'm definitely not buying laptops from Amazon ever again.
Its one of the most pathetic laptops you can ever buy
May 26, 2017
Its one of the most pathetic laptops you can ever buy. It hardly been 5 months i bought this and it has stayed in the service centre for more than 40 days. I have replaced the Mother board twice, the speaker system, the daughter broad, the charging slot and the earphone jack once. the Windows has been uninstalled once. The laptop on a whole works way slow compared to its configurations. This was my third Lenovo product and turns out it would be my last for sure. The customer service is also not one of the best. My laptop was in the service center for 25 days in a row and still the product was not fixed. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this product.

Significant hard drive issues. don't buy!
July 2, 2016
I bought this laptop six months ago. The USB ports started going out and the seller replaced it for me. I was thankful for that. However, about a month ago, the harddrive had a melt down and my local computer repair people cannot fix it. It's stuck in a loop of trying to boot up. I think this particular model has some real problems. I would not buy it.

************************* WARNING *************** DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*******************WARNING***************************Straight out of the box I had two, inch long crescent-moon shaped screen defects (looks as if someone is pressing a finger firmly into the screen).Soon after it went into perpetual 'sleep' mode which was actually more like 'death' mode, the keyboard lit up but the screen never turned on. It sometimes wakes up when you put it to sleep, but if it times out and sleeps automatically it will not start up unless you reboot... which takes AGES!The wifi adapter kept faulting and and causing it to crash, 2 days after buying I got the 'blue screen of death' I updated the driver after many issues and it's finally working but it's very slow and temperamental. The high RAM and CPU speed do not translate into functional speed, I believe the hard-drive is too slow for the processing power. Every time I click on something the 'waiting for Sh!t to happen circle' appears.Later it switched off or crashed while watching a movie, the screen just went a mustard colour and I had to hold down the power button. The windows 10 app store crashes every single time, I cannot use it, or any apps. Not sure if this is just a windows 10 issue but 7 was way better. The left hinge clicks and creaks with use (right is fine) and the outer shell seems to pull slightly away fro the edges with opening and closing,The mouse pad rattles when tapping and feels really stiff to when using the left click. To top it all off, Lenovo Support is absolutely! completely! utterly! and entirely! USELESS! If I could Rate it ZERO stars I would.

All aspects of this product where false. The computer was "new" but had many generic parts and 80% of them did jot work at all. Ex... the touchscreen was an LCD screen with no touch capability.
