Five Star Reviews: | 32% I bought this laptop for my daughter to use for ... September 16, 2016 I bought this laptop for my daughter to use for school and web surfing. While not a high powered tool, it does everything it needs to do and is very reliable. Great great computer April 3, 2016 this is a really great computer, I've had it for about a month and it has ran very smoothly.. regular low processing programs work great like Word and Chrome, I even use a bit of the photoshop and Ableton live on it and they lag just a bit but nonetheless work, would obviously recommend more RAM for those programs.. touch screen is pretty nifty very good latency and responsiveness, and the Hdmi port is basically the reason I bought it.. the screen brightness could use a little work, but unless you're really picky about it then you wouldn't even notice.. overall great great computer for the price 👍🏻 I highly recommend! February 3, 2016 I use this on a daily base and it is great! I like when I feel like I want to use it as a tablet, I can. I use it mainly for school and classes online. I highly recommend this laptop! BETTER than Apple laptops! Love it - good laptop for business trip November 10, 2015 it answers my expectations as daily tasks laptop. Windows 10 works well, easy to configure. The touch screen preforms well.Served me well during my last business trip. Light and easy to carry, the only flaw or me, is the battery life which holds for 2.5 -3 hours at the most. Awesome October 20, 2015 Better than I expected. I received it on time and it was properly package to keep it safe. It was everything the description said. It has windows 10. Bought this at best buy a little while ago because it was significantly ... October 1, 2015 Bought this at best buy a little while ago because it was significantly cheaper. I'd recommend looking around for the best price.Short story is that it's a great laptop. Touchscreen is super accurate and responsive. Keyboard has a very nice feel to it, seems to be Mac inspired. I bought it to do basic tasks like browsing Internet and word as a compliment to my other computer. I didn't try to run anything too extensive, but ran FTL well and appeared to be able to run MATLAB decently. Is very light and portable which was my primary concern. The Yoga feature is really cool. Battery life lasts beyond the 5 hours that some other are claiming.I really recommend it, quite pleased with my purchase. | 50% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 21% Great computer for a great value December 19, 2016 Great value! I would give it five stars, but the mouse pad occasionally lags behind. That being said, this computer runs faster and performs more tasks than any other computer in this price range. I am most impressed with the touchscreen which is extremely accurate for such a budget computer. The computer has a sturdy feel to it and is a great compact size. I would highly recommend this computer. It is perfect for a college student. Great Entry Level Laptop September 7, 2016 I recently purchased this laptop for my 10 year old son. He loves it!!! This is a great entry level model with all of the bells and whistles. I own the Lenovo Yoga and the Flex is slightly larger and a little bit heavier. He uses his laptop for school research, Minecraft, Skype, and tons of Youtube videos. He is able to stream and play without any issues. He is able to tent the laptop and view content or play while laying on the floor/bed. The only reason I did not give the Lenovo Flex 5 stars is because I had to load the Microsoft Suite separately. Now it looks like I need to pay for additional warranty as I'd ... June 21, 2016 I didn't pay enough attention to the warranty and there are only 147 days left in warranty although I just purchased this item last week. It shows as being purchased 9/2015.Now it looks like I need to pay for additional warranty as I'd like at least 1 full year from date of purchase.Be sure to verify your id on the computer. Before I did that the computer was slogging along. But so far it seems like this will be the right item for travel use - internet access, download photos.Followup - I contacted Lenovo directly and they modified the date on my warranty to start on the date I received the item -- at no additional cost! Realtor Approved! April 23, 2016 I am really liking this little computer. It has the capability to do everything I want to do as a Realtor. It's a little slow on start up and program loading. When I read reviews, I saw a lot of complaints about the touchpad being jumpy or freezing. Mine did the same thing out of the box, but with a simple driver update from the Lenovo website, it was fixed in about two minutes. No problem since the driver update. The touchscreen feature works perfectly and the machine transforms seamlessly from laptop to tablet to tent mode. I think it's a great little machine! Great 2 in 1. Four stars because of the standard HD vs SSD. November 21, 2015 If you want a 2 in 1 at a great price I recommend this. I also recommend putting in an SSD. I had one I use as a secondary backup for my tower and put that in this machine myself. It made a world of difference. Even so, the price point can't be beat even with the legacy hard drive in it. You can always upgrade the hard drive later. Windows 10 works fine. For standard word processing, internet, email, and online video it's all good. The battery life is okay. You can't expect ultra pc battery performance though at budget pc prices. So if you are looking for a solid machine to do simple tasks, this is one you should consider So far so good, fast enough for media tasks and word processing October 10, 2015 So far so good, fast enough for media tasks and word processing. Have not tested for gaming(which it isnt for) yet but if im not mistaken it should run source games(counter strike source, cs:go and such) fine. The battery life is quite great. However, if you're watching series or movies you get about 2-2:30 hours, otherwise you can easily get up to 4-5 hours. It also charges quite fast which is a plus. My only complaint for now is that it gets hot fast, not uncomfortably hot, but enough for one to worry that the battery's quality will worn out faster than average.storage memory(1TB and SSD) is upgradable. One more thing, it comes with McAfee installed which slows it down noticebly so remove it as soon as you can. I might come back after a month to give an update. | 18% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 11% Need more RAM November 8, 2016 The only real knock I have on this is that the Ram is not expandable so if you are running a lot of programs this is not the computer for you Three Stars June 2, 2016 Okay for the price, but it is a little slow, but I guess I should have expected that... Three Stars April 27, 2016 The price was right for what I needed and could afford to pay but the computer is painfully slow. Generally pleased. March 15, 2016 For the money I'm generally pleased. I wish it had a little better keyboard but again it's a low end product quite suitable for Internet and some word processing being all I really do. I don't use the tablet feature as I prefer smaller tablets so I can't address that aspect. Hinge does seem plenty adequate for its intended purpose. Nice, as a tablet. March 2, 2016 I've had this for a month and a half and if I could I would probably return it. I have to restart it everyday because it will start to run slow, like really slow. The battery can't seem to stay charged for more than a few hours. Mind you I am a full time student, I research and write a lot but I don't think that's any excuse for this product to run so slowly. I don't mean to be so pessimistic but I have tried my best to keep an open mind about this product; the first few weeks I kept telling myself "once I learn all of it's quirks it will get better", it hasn't.On the other hand, it's nice having a little laptop that flips around when watching a video or that basically turns into a tablet when you are just trying to read an article. Not to mention the split screen mode, while in tablet mode is great. Maybe if you are buying this product for play there wouldn't be so many cons. I bought this thinking it would be good for school work but I don't think that's what it's made for. Good laptop but sucky battery February 10, 2016 I like fact that it is small and easy to transport in my handbag. It works well but the battery life sucks; it doesn't last more than 3 hours and it takes an eternity to boot up. | 9% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 10% WI-FI INTERNET CONNECTION DROPS ALL THE TIME May 12, 2017 Will not stay connected to Wi-Fi Drops internet connection and is a known problem with the Lenovo corporation. Have applied all the fix actions that Lenovo website offered none of them have solved the problem. Maybe others will hsve better luck but I am very disappointed in this purchase. Don't bother buying this flimsy, fragile laptop!!! January 21, 2017 This laptop didn't even last for two months of light use. The touchpad quickly became unresponsive, leaving touchscreen the only option. Then, the internet link died. This was literally used by a little old lady and was replaced by a MacBook Pro 13", which is light-years better in every way and well worth the difference in price. Disappointed but does the job December 30, 2016 It has problems even running Netflix I know it's not an expensive computer but I'd at least like it to not struggle to run Netflix. Hard pass December 18, 2016 Purchased this for my small business and its painfully slow. We just needed an everyday machine that could do email and had good battery life but this machine is a distraction its so slow. Coupled with the subpar screen its barely functional for basic online work. Sleek appearance and materials quality earns the two stars, but everything on the inside prevents anything more. I turned off the touch screen feature and it has been better about not crashing and not lagging October 30, 2016 This laptop has been disappointing. I thought it would be neat to have a 2-in-1 feature, but I believe that feature is what made it a little glitchy, though I do not know this to be certain. Everything had a lag - internet, Word, etc. In fact, Word documents kept crashing and failing to auto save, costing me lots of time to re-do things (I'm a medical transcriptionist, doing large volumes of typing). At first, the auto rotate feature wouldn't work at all in tablet mode, though finally did so. After reading some suggestions, I turned off the touch screen feature and it has been better about not crashing and not lagging. However, now it's just a really small laptop. Probably not a great device for anyone who needs it to work or as a student to write papers. With the touch screen turned off, it's an okay little lap top. will return after one day of horrible use January 23, 2016 this is a nightmare. I have had it one day and I am returning this. I am shopping right now for another brand. Slow webpage upload, mouse takes forever to respond on newly loaded webpages, mouse constantly zooms in on pages when trying to do two finger page scroll, so I keep having to readjust page back to normal size. I could not be more displeased with this computer. Mouse jumps around on screen. You get the point. thank you. | 7% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 26% NO absolutely not! step away from this computer...go, run, everything is better than this June 18, 2017 This is the worst computer I have ever had. Slower than molasses and the blue screen of death. In the time I had it I was barely able to use it. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SPEND ANOTHER $100 DOLLARS ON SOMETHING BETTER. Ultimately your saving yourself some cash from not having to replace this item. I hope this helps some poor unsuspecting buyer like I was! STAY AWAY FROM THIS!!! March 18, 2017 I bought this item on 11-5-2016 and it broke 2-10-2017. Not only is my " warranty " expired, but when taking item for repair, I was informed it is manufactured in 2008. I was not informed it was an eight year old item. Also no where in the description does it say this is an 8 year old item with a 90 day warranty.. I am disappointed and will NEVER buy an item like this again on AMAZON. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS March 6, 2017 I'm beyond upset with this product. It is ALWAYS slow, no matter how many scans you run. It is also very touch sensitive and glitchy. Right now I am currently experiencing the log in screen being upside down. No matter how many times I reset it, nothing happens. I'm hoping I can return this product. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS! It took me 20 minutes to get to the internet....20 minutes! It is just beyond frustrating, I will never buy anything from Lenovo again! Stay Far Away! December 10, 2016 I bought this Lenovo Flex 3 laptop on November 17, 2015, and by December 10, 2016, it was dead and would not turn on. I only used it in my home for web surfing and the occasional movie. Of course, it died right outside the 1 year warranty period. I went to the Lenovo website for repair information and this is the response I got after entering the unit serial number: "There are currently no Service Offerings for this system. Please contact your place of purchase." It appears that this model has been discontinued, so I now have a $300 boat anchor. Stay far away from this laptop! Great when it works failed twice September 14, 2016 I would like to start off by saying I buy a lot from Amazon probably like a lot of you. We purchased this laptop about 2 months ago with the intentions of using it as a work-from-home device only, no major travel maybe from a secured Wi-Fi while kids are at sports. The first one lasted only exactly one week contacted Lenovo they said the hard drive it failed. We ordered a second one from Amazon thinking it was just an off chance that the hard drive was just bad. 3 weeks later that hard drive fails. No major Computing was done no web surfing no video watching just pure work-from-home data processing. And that data processing only lasted for about an hour and a half. Then the computer will be properly turned off till the next day to use for a another hour and a half. I'm not sure what we're doing wrong but this computer was a letdown. The things we found beneficial for it was weight size and flexibility all those met perfect criteria and Mobility. I'm not sure why the hard drive continues to fail but the exact same situation and scenario happen for both. Like I said while it was functioning there were no issues. The laptop travels in a padded case and computer turned off so there was no reason for me to suspect it was user error. I have considered the solid state hard drive version of this but it would not be a cost-effective choice. It would be cheaper to buy this device and put a solid state drive in it. But that would violate windows copyright policy. Needless to say we will be trying a different product not necessarily Amazon's fault or the retailer. You get what you pay for... January 17, 2016 Horribly slow. Because it was so slow it took me a few hours just to set it up. As I was browsing, the pages would load so slowly and very choppy while I was trying to scroll web pages. I couldn't deal with it. Quickly returned and purchased a dell device. You get what you pay for. Spend a few extra bucks and make sure your processing power is halfway descent or you'll be unhappy. | 16% There are no reviews yet |
