Great for breakfast for one!
September 3, 2017
I like to make fried egg sandwiches for breakfast, and this does it perfectly. It is ideal for one full egg, or maybe 2 egg whites. The non-stick is great and super easy to wash. The pan seems to be made of high quality materials, is quite durable, and the calphalon coating hasn't scratched. Heat is well-distributed and it cooks evenly. There is a hole in the handle if you want to hang it to store it.I hope this helps you with your decision-making process, and if you found my review helpful please let me know!***How I rate***5 Stars: Works exactly as advertised, is a fair value at the price point purchased, & would buy again or recommend to a friend.4 Stars: Works mostly as advertised, fit/finish are what you'd expect when purchasing this type of product, might have a minor flaw.3 Stars: Works for the most part, but it may not be a fair value at the price point or perhaps needs changes / improvements.2 Stars: Barely works, probably returning.1 Star: Useless, does not perform its intended function whatsoever and is generally a waste of money, sending it back.
It works FANTASTIC!
January 24, 2017
As I'm the only one in my house who likes an occasional fried egg for breakfast, I purchased a Joie one-egg "non-stick" skillet from the grocery store several years ago. The bottoms of the eggs would stick to the skillet, even though it was supposed to be non-stick. In frustration, I found the T-fal A85700 One Egg Wonder and purchased it on Amazon. This morning I put in a small amount of butter, let it melt, and put in one egg to fry sunny side up. To test the non-stick properties, I put some shredded cheddar cheese on top and, when it was ready, turned the egg over. There was absolutely NO sticking of the egg to the skillet! It even swirled easily in the pan. After letting the top of the egg solidify and the cheese melt, I turned the pan upside down over the saucer (did not have to use a spatula) and the egg with melted cheese slipped out effortlessly. It was FANTASTIC! This was just with one egg, but I believe that this pan will last for quite a few fried eggs over the years. I love it.
Sandwich
December 13, 2015
I use it to make breakfast sandwich on english muffin. Comes out slightly larger than a standard muffin, but is not a problem. I can fit one whole egg plug one egg white (protein!) in here without over loading the little thing. Non-stick coating works well.
Love it!
December 10, 2015
Perfect for cooking eggs for English muffin sandwiches. Note....this is a tiny pan made of aluminum, and is intended for low to low/medium temp setting. High heat will warp and ruin your pan. I don't use utincils in the pan, just rock the pan to flip egg. I do use small amount of butter, and hand wash only. Perfect for my needs!
Great for 2 eggs! Found the perfect spatula that fits!
August 18, 2015
I'll be honest, I bought this pan just for fun because it just looked too cute. It was so inexpensive, and I was just a sucker for it being so cute. To my surprise, this has turned out to be one of my favorite pans!Pros:Cooks two eggs perfectlyVery nonstickCleans up in secondsFound the perfect size spatulaSuper inexpensiveI prefer my eggs to have the whites fully cooked (without being overcooked) while the yokes are still runny. This pan does this perfectly! I just dab a bit of butter on the warm pan (maybe 1/8 tsp?) which I smear around using a spatula. I let the eggs cook most of the way on the first side and then flip them over to make sure the whites are cooked on top. That's all there is to it! Clean up is a breeze with just a quick wipe of a dry paper towel. I throw the pan into the dishwasher every so often to make sure the pan is sterilized.I also found the perfect spatula to fit this little pan. It's the OXO Good Grips Silicone Cookie Spatula. See the picture of how well it fits. I can easily flip two fried eggs using this spatula. Plus, the spatula is silicone so it doesn't scratch the pan and is very easy to clean.I originally bought this pan just for fun, but it's turned out to be my favorite pan for cooking fried eggs. While it's supposed to be for just one egg, I think it does even better with two eggs. I very highly recommend getting one of these little gems!
The best one hit wonder!
May 20, 2010
Love this little T-Fal baby! I make bagel or bun sized eggs without folding endlessly to make the ingredients fit on the bun. Perfect for a side of sautéed mushrooms, onions or anything you want to do on a small scale. It fits a perfect serving size for one person (or two eating light). I pushed the envelope and put two large eggs in it and it performed OK, however cooks better with one egg if you're putting extras in the pan with it. One swipe of a paper towel and it's ready for the next mini cooking task. This little thing has made my life so much easier because I'm not a confessed hand pan washer except for the ones I HAVE TO - this one I do because it's so easy. No more big pans sitting in the sink and no more lazy lunches! I work at home and can fry up tofu for a salad, eggs for my hubby, onions for burgers, garlic for sauces . . . sometimes we just don't need a big pan to do those big flavor items! I'm ordering three more for gifts after using mine every day for a month. Love the non-stick too.

Love, Love this pan!

Love this pan!
It is just the right size I want (and also would fit nicely where I place it with my other pots and pans)
The pattern in the middle is a big help when pouring cooking oil...although I used mostly cooking spray now when I cook.
It does not really say on the description that this is scratch and stain resistant, only that it is non-stick, but so far, it holds up really well. I use silicone spatulas and other utensils, so not much problem on scratching. Clean-up is so easy. If I needed to use it right away to cook something else, then I just wipe it with a moist paper towel, and it's ready to use again. When I finish then I hand wash it with warm soap and water and use just a sponge to clean it.
This might be the only pan I'll ever own
November 13, 2015
I had a very long, long time searching for a durable non-sticky pan. The forever going problem with non-stick pans is - they are not durable and more like disposable items. I had had about ten different non-sticky pans over the past five years - so you can guess they were all not durable, with typical life time ranging from a couple months to half a year before it became sticky. Some of the more notable ones I've tried, including The 12" Green Earth Frying Pan by Ozeri, with Textured Ceramic Non-Stick Coating from Germany (100% PTFE and PFOA Free) and Vinaroz Die Cast Aluminum wok with Ceramic Coating 30-Cm, Red, are always promising at the start but turned out to be a disappointment rather quickly. I had avoided using dish washer and detergent when washing my pans as instructed, but their non-stick performance still become deteriorated over a short time. However, I think my search finally ended with this pan from TeChef. I've been using it for 9 months now and it is still going strong. The instruction does not recommend dishwasher, but I have thrown it in the dishwasher for several months now and it still maintains its non-stick performance. This is the longest lasting non-stick pan I have ever owned, and I am glad it's no more expensive than those much inferior pans. I am fully expected it to last all over the year. Fingers crossed!
My Mom LOVES This Stir-Fry Pan / Wok - MOM APPROVED.
August 20, 2015
This is an unbelievably crafted Stir-Fry Pan. How do I know this? Simple, my mother will not stop talking about how great it is.

I purchased the TeChef Stir-Fry Pan for my mother as a birthday gift. She'd mentioned being interested in such a pan, so I did a little research on Amazon and read some rave reviews about the TeChef 12" Wok pan. The quality and feel of this pan is solid (literally). This is a well-built pan that's engineered to last.

My mother doesn't mess around in the kitchen (ie: she's a masterful cook) and she's usually a pretty brutally honest person. I trust her opinion and so should you. If you're in need of a good Stir-Fry Pan, look no further. This is the pan you want.

PS - Her Stir Fry has gotten even better since she purchased this pan. Didn't even think that was possible.
Just what I needed
June 20, 2014
I have purchased a lot of frying pans over the years, and have learned one thing. Don't go cheap, it costs more in the long ru n. I was looking for an 11 or 12 inch WOK in my local Walmart, but they seemed over priced for the quality. I came home and checked on Amazon and found this nice mid size wok that was reasonably priced, was on Amazon prime and the product and the couple of reviews that were there were quite positive. I have been using this a lot since I purchased it. It beats my old stainless steel fry pan (3 ply steel) because of the non stick surface. It really doesn't stick. I used to have to de-glaze my pan when cooking lean meats. With this wok I never have a problem with food sticking. I also love the little oil measurement design on the bottom. Takes the guess work out of knowing how much oil you put down. The pan has a large flat spot on the bottom which is great for stir fry because of the even heating. The deep sides enable an adequate supply of vegetables without spilling over the edge. So far my foods have turned out perfect with this pan. I would definitely recommend this product.

Best solution for breakfast sandwitch size and shape eggs
January 12, 2017
This is the best solution to making eggs in roughly breakfast sandwich size and shape. I tried the "rings" but they let the egg leak under and are very hard to clean. This pan can just be wiped out as it is truly non-stick. The only down side is that it is too small to easily fit on my burners, which are really geared to more like an 8" or 10" pan. I just have to cook at low flame and make sure the handle is not in the flame. Otherwise it works great.
I don't like egg yolk so I will usually cook egg whites
September 5, 2016
I don't like egg yolk so I will usually cook egg whites, which usually doesn't end well in a regular pan. This pan not only worked great but created uniform sizes for putting in breakfast sandwiches. I had an Joie Egg Fry Pan, which worked fine, but I had other T-fal pans and decided to give this one a try. The only downside is that the walls are much taller than my previous pan. While, I am good at flipping food in pans, not everyone is and that could present a problem for some buyers. If I don't feel like flipping the egg, I just use the Joie Egg spatula from my previous pan (I bought the spatula at Bed Bath & Beyond) and that one seems to work the best compared to other small spatulas. I have bought two of these and haven't had any problems with coating coming off. For anyone who isn't used to using these small pans, use a lower heat because although the handle is heat resistant, it isn't heat proof (Tip for all pans: you shouldn't have the flame larger than the pan anyways).
THIS PAN HAS CHANGED MY LIFE
June 16, 2016
I love this pan! It is super easy to make perfect sunny side up eggs with it! I wake up in the morning and just make an egg cause it's so easy! You can easily fit two eggs if you want, but one egg fills out the pan perfectly! It is lightweight and easy to clean. A little butter makes the egg slide right out of the pan and onto my toast! The two things that could possibly make this pan better are better balance and a lid. The balance isn't bad when an egg is in the pan but when I am heating it up before the pan leaning towards the handle, which is heavier than the pan itself. The lid would just be nice so that I can cover my egg and steam it while it fries. Since it doesn't have a lid I just cover it with a small toaster pan or foil. How to make the perfect fried egg with a runny yolk with this pan:1. Preheat the pan on medium heat2. Put about a teaspoon (or less) of butter/oil/nonstick something and spread it3. Drop that egg right in (season it with whatever you want)4. Cover it with something to hold in the steam(don't burn yourself taking it off)5. Cook it for a few minutes and peek at it every once in a while6. When you can't see any of the white jiggling around anymore you know its done.7. Slide that egg right onto your golden brown toast8. Take another piece of toast, break into that beautiful golden yolkCleanup is super easy!
This is a tiny pan and fits one egg easily. If you're scrambling an egg
February 14, 2016
I sought out a product to make just one egg, which is what I got. This is a tiny pan and fits one egg easily. If you're scrambling an egg, you do need to be careful so a little doesn't slip out of the sides onto the burner. I actually found it very easy to clean and didn't even need to pre-soak it. However, I have owned this product for about one year now and I have noticed it is becoming harder to clean, and parts of the pan appear to be coming off (possibly what makes it non-stick???) - so, it was a good product initially, but doesn't really work too well after one year.
Works Well if You're Patient
July 2, 2015
Works well for egg sandwiches, doesn't stick. The packaging makes it very clear that you are not supposed to use this on anything but low heat, but I always cook my eggs on low anyway. The handle is a bit on the heavy side when the pan is empty, which can lead to it being a little unstable on the burner. Overall it is a great pan for the price and I'm happy with my purchase. On a side note, the first time I saw something made by 'T-fal', I just glanced at the words and accidentally read it as 'The-Fail', which didn't exactly inspire a lot of confidence in their products. I now own several pans made by them and am quite happy with the quality of all of them though.

September 29, 2016
Don't remember how many non-stick stir fry pans I have gone through. Most will last for only about a year before it starts to burn my food because it starts sticking. This pan renews my hope for lasting a little longer because it is nicely coated. The pan heated much more evenly so I'll only need to use medium high on the gas stove and still gives a nice brown coating on food. Time will tell if this pan will last.
Heavy Duty
October 8, 2015
Product arrived as advertised and very well packaged. This pan does not come with a lid or any extra accessories (spatula, stirring spoon, etc.). This pan feels heavy duty and non-stick coating seems rugged and thick. Handle is sturdy and pan is heavy (about 3lbs with no lid and empty). I am not a foodie and just got tired of replacing regular/convenience store "non-stick" pans every few months because the non-stick coating rubs off even though I only use plastic spatulas. If this product last a couple of years I'll be more than happy.
I had it up to medium high & at times high & the beef just was not getting that nice brown glaze that I was expecting
April 15, 2015
I bought this mostly for stir frying & I really can't decide if this will work for that purpose. I think I should have selected a pan with more weight on the bottom of the pan. I had it up to medium high & at times high & the beef just was not getting that nice brown glaze that I was expecting. All in all, I just don't think non stick pans do all that well when high heat & browning is needed. As far as cooking eggs in minimum oil/butter, this works just perfect. Can cook several eggs at one time also.It is a huge pan & will take up valuable real estate on your stove. I have a glass top electric cooktop. Now only if I could find a good ol Lodge skillet with high sides & not quite that big, I think I would have better luck with my stir fries. Not sorry I purchased this pan, just underwhelmed with my success with getting protein brown in this thing.
Excellent quality
April 14, 2015
Have had this pan for a couple of month. i would give it 4.5 stars if there was a choice. Just like some other reviews said, this is not exactly an Asian style wok. The bottom is a little too wide for Traditional Asian style cooking. It is also a little heavy for me to use one hand to lift. But other than that the quality is very good. For a couple of times I left the empty pot heated for a little too long - bad practice of cuz - but it didn't do much damage to the pan. My previous pans would have died already. It heats fast and evenly. I also bought the lid which is also good quality but again a little heavy.

This is an amazing pan! It is very sturdy and does not require any assembly. However the only con about this pan is that it does not come with a lid. At the time when I purchased the lid it was $20 This pan is quite deep and it defiantly will give you lots of room to stir fry your vegetables + rice and etc.

Too small to use a regular spatula to flip your eggs!
Just okayish
January 2, 2017
Not the best. Very, very small, which we knew before purchase, so just stating it to confirm what other people wrote - not a problem. The issue is it sometimes sticks a little for fried eggs, which surprised us since it's brand new. We bought another pan at the same time, and that one beat this small pan hands down. 3 stars for being just okay.
Frying pan is very good quality. I would give it a 5
August 7, 2016
Frying pan is very good quality. I would give it a 5. The reason I didn't give it that rating is to inform others that the pan is sosmall that it's hard to flip over 1 egg. It's also hard to use because even on the smallest burner and with low heat, it's hard tocook anything in it without almost burning my hand while stirring or flipping.
Excited, but only for a week.
April 30, 2016
I would really want to give this product a five star, because its size and prize are just great. But after an excited week using it, I found part of the pan become sticky (about the size of a quarter, in the middle) and sunny side-up started to become difficult. I never used any hard material to wash the pan, and was careful not to have hurt the pan with other utensils. It was disappointing.
Nonstick is nonlasting
February 20, 2016
Nonstick coating seemed to only last a dozen times before eggs begin to stick on this.

Non stick coating didn't last long.
April 7, 2017
I liked the size and shape of this woke, I bought this one last year and coating has damaged for a year of use, I couldn't find other one I liked in the price range so I got a this brand again. However this one didn't last that long. Some times food sticks, it's only been 3 month, obviously I couldn't return it. They say they have a lifetime warranty but not sure how it is work. Won't buy it again.
Not bad, decent value
October 23, 2016
It works great at first, but I'm finding that the coating has come off after about 6 months of use with good care. I had to search high and low to find out that this is also not oven proof.
High-quality but with flaws.
July 30, 2016
This pan is high-quality, sturdy and have a beautiful color. But it has a few flaws that made it a 3-star for me:1) The bottom is not flat. The center is higher so that when pouring oil into the pan, it would flow to the side, thus making the oil measurement on the pan kind of useless.2) It's too heavy. With a heavy pan like this it would be better if there is a handle on the other side.3) The curve of the side makes things easy to spill out when stir-frying.
Works really well on induction. Light. (but heats up too slowly)
February 6, 2016
Finally - found one that's light and works on my induction stove (that green one didn't). It's a tad heavier than the green one, but it's no big deal. This one is able to activate all, even the largest diameter, induction burners that I have. If you have induction and want something light, this is the one to get.EDIT (2/13/16): I had to take away 2 stars, because just like some of the other reviewers using induction said in their reviews, this wok heats up TOO slowly and even after waiting a long time it never reaches temperature high enough for good cooking. Seriously thinking about returning this, now. Disappointed.
Non-stick works well...but can you really HEAT it up to stir fry????
March 23, 2015
This is one heavy duty pan! I have used it and found I didn't have the heat up high enough to really stir fry my veggies! So will try again with higher heat. The pan cleans up beautifully and the flat bottom is extra heavy so it holds and distributes the heat very well! I like the pan, just not sure how much the non-stick cautions of not pre-heating it over high heat are worth the trade off for non-stick (since it IS a wok)... But it also can work as a regular pan with high sides very well!

tiny pan - limited use
August 8, 2017
Read the Dimensions carefully - This pan is extremely small. I thought I'd use it for a couple of eggs, but it is designed for only one at a time. Also the handle is too short, forcing you to use the edge of a burner which in turn makes cooking with it a little unstable. This seems to fit a small campstove much better than a kitchen stove. I'll put mine into my backpacking supplies, but I can't recommend it to anyone for home use.I'll purchase a 4 or 6 egg poacher for home use

I wish I had gotten a larger one even though I don't cook a lot. At first I really liked it. It was light, deeper than a regular skillet, easy to clean, etc.I know that it's my error in retrospect however the manufacturer should have specified that it isn't ovenproof. Luckily I got it out in time so that I can still use the pan but it doesn't look as nice. After using two years, I have noticed significant discoloration inside the pan. It's a bit disconcerting.I got myself an Analon set. It may splatter a bit but it's oven safe and mostly doesn't discolor.

Terrible product - can no longer return, otherwise I would. Touted as "The world's finest cookware with DuPont Teflon Select / Coated 5 times with DuPontTM Teflon® Print Designs" this product worked great for about 3 months and then, curiously, I found that foods began to stick to the surface. Now, several months later, I can't even fry an egg on it without first spraying it thoroughly with a Pam type product. Very disappointing for the money paid for this product.
