Five Star Reviews: | 72% Solid and sturdy from what I can tell... July 8, 2017 I saw some of the reviews talking about sub-par welding, but the ones I received look pretty decent. One thing I noticed was the min and max lift heights say similar specs to my 2 1/2 ton Craftsman jacks, but put side by side, the Craftsmans are distinctly lower-profile. Weird. I have a jeep and these are perfect for the lifted jeep April 14, 2017 Bought these to add to extra to the shop, I have a jeep and these are perfect for the lifted jeep, holds without me worrying about them falling off or breaking. small but worked good on my honda accord March 2, 2017 small but worked good on my honda accord. Obviously not made for larger vehicles but if you have a normal sized car then these work. I don't trust any jack stands but when I do... February 16, 2016 I've been happy with these jack stands so far. I double checked for any rust that some people mentioned but found none. Came in a sturdy box and nothing was bent. Of course I take every precaution especially when getting under my car being that it sits low to begin with I still leave the floor jack right next to the jack in case one were to fail. For the price it's a great jack stand. I'll probably end up getting the taller 6 ton one for our SUV sooner or later. In either case I'm very happy with the purchase! Holding up a 1 tone GMC Savania Cargo van. October 28, 2015 Okay, I got these, holding a GMC Savania 1 Tone Cago Van, on a dirt ground up in the air, and I can say, even as a blind person that isn't afraid of getting under the thing, since before I even got under, I litterly try my bet to get the thing to move a bit. FIrst off, make sure you know where the heck you are placing these jacks on a car, truck or what have you a Van to hold the weight of the thing its holding up.All I can say, these are well built jacks and its been holding up the van for over a month even through all the rain and getting in and out of the van to work on motor, dropping the tranny, no movement. Just make sure you got something that can stop the auto dropping on you if you ging to be under the auto at any time. I have two floor jacks one on each end jacked up, but not holding the weight just to be on the safe side. I got two sets one for each wheel. Pair of Torin 3 ton jack stands December 10, 2009 I've used the jack stands twice now and they work great. The design seems good, safe and are easy to use. I have a GMC Sierra 1/2 ton and went with the 3 ton design based on the company's recommendation. When I researched this product I was confused as to whether I was buying a box with two (2) jack stands in it or purchasing just one because they kept refering to "each".The box is a pair of jack stands for anyone wondering. | 43% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 18% ... 6 ton capacity Jack Stands and so far I'm happy with them September 22, 2017 I got the 6 ton capacity Jack Stands and so far I'm happy with them. They are able to hold my heavy 1/2 ton truck up with no problems. Of course I always do not rely on them 100% when i'm under my truck - so it's a good idea to add one more jack stand for insurance. they worked for me. though I haven't used both ... September 16, 2017 they worked for me. though I haven't used both at the same time. or had to extend the height. they look cheaply made which they are. Strong and work well. August 24, 2017 These work well and are sturdy. I bought four and I use these on my 2003 MR2 Spyder. I'm very happy with the performance and durability of these so far. Reliable and simple August 16, 2017 Am I tempted to trust these things with my life? Not entirely. But they are convincingly simple and reliable... so I would recommend these. I wish there was a safety pin for these May 12, 2016 I've used these about 4 times now and they do a great job, it's just I wish they had an extra security feature for the bars incase the notches fail. Like one of those safety pins above the red latch. The reason why I say this is because I bought 2 of these and they don't seem to line up perfectly when the black bar is all the way down. It's as if the red latch holding the notches isn't bent correctly and it's off by 1/2 inch or less. I'm always worried those notches might strip one day and then it will be a sad day for me. But then again, I make sure to have my regular jack as a 3rd stand as well as one of my tires underneath for extra insurance so godforbid my situation will become an Apollo 13 scenario if that makes any sense... Great jackstands. The product quality looks very high May 1, 2016 Great jackstands. The product quality looks very high. Would have given a perfect review but the customer is expected to complete assembly the black part of the stands need to be inserted into the red body(easy) and then bend a little retaining tab (not so easy) to keep the black parts from falling out. I bent the tabs using a vice but I imagine the process could be very difficult if you only have basic tools. | 22% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 5% The price is excellent but the lack of a lock makes them less ... June 25, 2017 The price is excellent but the lack of a lock makes them less comfortable to carry. However, they do their job just fine. I'm afraid the release lever is too easy to hit and drop the jack which makes me ... March 8, 2017 I'm afraid the release lever is too easy to hit and drop the jack which makes me nervous about using them while under the car. Something double locking would feel much better. The picture is a little deceiving too because the arms are cupped, not pinched, and the photo is at an angle so they look pinched. Make no mistake your pinch welds will not slot nicely into these, they will crush them, unless you have a flat or lightly rounded spot designated for jacks then I would only use these under that spot. Do not use under pinch welds. A bit disappointed but still debating if I should return them. Not for low profile vehicles. November 3, 2016 The item is prefect for what it is. If you have a low profile vehicle, you may want to consider another jack stands. I had to jack my vehicle substantially to slide in these jack stands, without the need to raise them. Ok stands September 23, 2016 These stands are ok. I don't like the tabs on the side that need to be bent in. Apparently there is a different model that has a pin instead. They do the job, but seem cheap. Not double locking as mentioned. January 7, 2016 Misleading description. It is not double locking as advertised. just one lever and it is dangerous if you accidentally hit the lever. Welding is good. rest of it is solid.Update* Just talked with customer service and they promised the replacement will be double locking with extra pin. waiting to see its true. Ok for the price but sketchy welds February 9, 2014 I originally bought these for $21 so I was inherently skeptical about the quality. Out of the 2, both had passable welds around the neck and honestly I would have kept the pair if ALL the welds were similar to those on the neck. The interior welds on one of the stands, however, only went 3/4 of the the way up and then appeared to veer off to the side of the seam. On the other one, the interior welds were extremely thin and too deep so they basically melted all the way through the base metal. It looked like a canyon. Very, very inconsistent quality on the ones I received. I would NOT trust my life to the welds on this pair of jack stands.I took several pictures of the welds but this item won't allow me to upload user photos (for obvious reasons) so you'll just need to take my word on it.Instead of gambling again on quality (as I've heard people have gotten a good pair of these), I'm just returning them (along with the Torin 3 ton double-locking pair I'm returning for similar reasons) and I'm going to go pick up a pair of 3-ton aluminum harbor freight ones that have a 1-piece casted body but are twice the price. | 15% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 2% Arrived bent June 5, 2017 The stands arrived in time but one was badly bent. This is a bit scary considering they are supposed to hold up 2 tons of car over my head while I work on the car, and they couldn't survive the trip to my house. I will be returning these and probably shopping for another brand. Regret buying these June 4, 2017 These work great for small vehicles only. I tried using them on my truck today on a very minimal slope, and the gave out. Other jack stands do well on this light slope, but it seems the base of these specific jacks require a dead even surface, or damn near. Just a bummer, seems to be a "get what you pay for" product. I'd reccommend shredding an extra $40 for something quality. Poor Quality October 2, 2016 Didn't pay much, didn't get much. These jack stands have a very small base, feel flimsy, too thin of gauge metal and poor quality even by Chinese standards. I will use these as a backup to a better pair as I would not slide under a car with only these between me and getting crushed. Not too Bad May 7, 2016 Not a bad product, just not what I expected. Takes up too much room in trunk needed to transport other things than only jack stands. Little bit expensive comparably April 16, 2014 Go to walmart. There cheaper there. You can get a better version for the same price. So save on the shipping and run down to your local store | 10% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 3% Bad welds September 25, 2016 Returned for a refund. The welds were very poor quality, I chose not to trust them with my life. and it looks like it could collapse April 3, 2016 it seems very unsafe, the welding is pour, and it looks like it could collapse. They don't really go as high as I'd like them to October 22, 2015 The jacks are yellow, not red. They don't really go as high as I'd like them to. Also, the cradles that hold the car up have a deep half-circle groove in-between some flat areas that are just a bit too far apart to hold my Jeep's main body frame safely. I ended up buying a 6-ton set at O-Riley's in town that are a much better set for close to the same price as these. Not only are they safer (it's unlikely that the Jeep will slip off a poorly designed stand top), they'll also go up higher and hold more weight. I might look into returning these because I just don't think I'll use them ever again. I am glad that I tested them out before putting them under ... August 17, 2015 The hinges were rusted when they arrived and the pin holding the stopper in place was rusted out in one of the jack stands . This prevented the jack stand from staying in place. I am glad that I tested them out before putting them under my car because this is very dangerous! Poor quality April 22, 2015 Poor weld quality. One was bent out of the box. I would stay away from these and spend a little more money and get something better. I sent mine back. I have an aluminum set of Torin stands that are great. Awful quality. My husband used one and the metal ... January 17, 2015 Awful quality. My husband used one and the metal bent! If youre getting this for saftey DON'T! | 10% There are no reviews yet |
