Fantastic TV!!!!
November 17, 2016
If you want a tv that looks great, then buy this one. The picture quality is outstanding. Looks like you can reach out and touch the people on it. Very easy to set up. Saw some negative reviews about this tv, but folks it's a Samsung and they are the best as far as technology is concerned. Dont be afraid to buy this tv.
Fast delivery. Protected the tv well. Working great so far.

Samsung UN50J6300 50-Inch (2015 model)Day 1: Five stars. Perfect packaging and fast delivery. Easy to put together TV stand and set up to antenna for over the air channels.Product works as designed so far. Speakers are good. I don't know that I will need to buy any others. I streamed music from Amazon Prime and it was a great sound. The stand is not as desirable as my last Samsung with a swivel base but it will suffice. Some reviews stated it wouldn't hold the TV or said it was wobbly. Mine is fine. The silver stand color may have been better if it were black. The picture is great. No adjustments needed. No ghosting seen yet. Viewed over the air TV channels and streamed Hulu using a Roku. No complaints. Paid $524.99 (new). Well worth it!Here are photos using my phone which does not do it justice. One is streaming from Hulu (stitchers) and one is Netflix (Last Man Standing). The pictures attached show more contrast (whiter whites and blacker blacks) than in person. The images are very crisp.Updated on 4/15/16 to add back panel pictures. So far great TV! I don't use the 'smart' options regularly but they worked well when I tried them out. 100% satisfied with my purchase. Beautiful picture.
It is an amazing TV. We've hung it on our wall

Cannot believe I got this for only $1099. It had to be some error and we snagged it and got free delivery. It is an amazing TV. We've hung it on our wall. Picture is great and smart TV capabilities are good. It does have the more advanced browser compared to most smart TV's but I rarely ever use that feature.Hooked up a Harmony smart remote to it with ease as well and it works great. Added a vizio 54" sound bar through HDMI Arc and it also works great. This is NOT a 4K tv. But honestly if you're chair is more than 8 feet away, your eyes cannot tell the difference anyhow so don't wast money on 4K. Not to mention they still have a lot of progress to do on the 4K before they are really a big step above. So go with this and you won't be disappointed.
Beautiful picture, smart and stylish.

Beautiful picture, very smart and stylish. Perfect for our new home. Love the stand.
Great big beautiful picture
June 5, 2015
I just purchased this as a long awaited upgrade for a smaller, aging Samsung as my primary TV in the living room. Like most I did a lot of online research and settled on the Samsung UN50J6300 because of the preponderance of positive reviews about this model across the web, and because of my past positive experience with Samsung TV's. I also read the negative reviews posted here suggesting that the set's LED arrays were inferior. While I respect those who have deep technical knowledge, all I know is a good picture when I see one. It looked great out of the box, but I also followed some calibrations suggested on the various sites to tweak its settings, and it's spectacular now. The smart TV functions are quick and responsive and work beautifully. This TV has a very elegant visual appeal -- basically its all picture with a very thin frame / edge. It's beautiful and I'm very happy. I would recommend this set to anyone in a heartbeat.
the J6300 looks amazing out of the box and doesn't require much tinkering
April 26, 2015
I wasn't ready to make the leap to 4K, especially considering that there's hardly anything currently being broadcast / streamed in 4K. I warmly welcomed Samsung's new 1080p display for 2015 and it delivers upon expectations. While initial settings could always use a slight tweak, the J6300 looks amazing out of the box and doesn't require much tinkering. The App selection is a little light at the moment, but considering the new model and new OS, it's to be expected. This TV is replacing an older set that was pretty useless during sunlight hours - the J6300 adjusts to ambient room light via its Eco-sensor and looks great under all circumstances. I was also pleasantly surprised by the sound on this unit considering its small frame. Good, bad, indifferent: I can now see every wrinkle, crack, freckle, crease, and mark on some of my favorite TV characters! Great quality, great price. Enjoy.

Love this TV. Outstanding picture. Super easy to set-up. Smart TV functions well. Nothing not to love about this product. I now own three Sharp Aquos TVs. Very pleased with all.
Excellent purchase
January 22, 2015
This TV is SWEET! So clear and sharp (no pun intended)! The first time I re-watched something on Netflix it looked like a whole different movie due to the increase in picture quality. I don't really use the smart apps aside from Netflix so I can't really comment on that, but just Netflix alone is worth having the smart TV functionality. I haven't had any issues or problems with the hardware or software. All in all, I'd buy 3 more of these if I had the money.
Great TV
January 1, 2015
This is a great TV for the price. I was worried based on reviews where people were having trouble with the TV. I have had zero of those issues. Once connected to the internet the TV updated its firmware to the latest and greatest. The settings mentioned in a previous review work well.
Love, love, love it!
December 9, 2014
Wow, what a beautiful picture! We need to do a little adjusting but not much. It is so clear--we can see things we don't want to see!! Like how old people look! It is a huge screen for our living room-perfect size for a 15 x 18 room. Everyone can see perfectly from all sides. We mounted it so we could tilt and angle but haven't moved it much. It was light enough for my husband to mount himself. We added a few more bolts than called for just because we wanted to make sure it didn't move. The Direct TV guy even thought it was great! Love, love, love it! The is the 3rd Sharp Aquos we have bought and we are very happy with it.
Excellent Smart LED TV - Great Value
December 4, 2014
Received delivery of this TV recently. Great service from Amazon as usual with their scheduled delivery. Moved into a new place and I sit about 14 ft or so from the TV so the old 42" LG 720p Plasma wasn't cutting it size-wise or technology-wise anymore. That was a 2007 or 2008 model. I was honestly a little worried after I placed my order as a slew of negative reviews came on here as my TV was in shipment noting that the TV continually reboots, freezes, etc. I was worried that I bought a lemon. Same thing with the reviews on Best Buy (though interestingly judging by the Best Buy reviews the random rebooting and problems seem to be concentrated to the 60" model and not the 70" model - which is evident from the average scores).Anyways the TV arrived and long story short I am very pleased. I can't believe that a 60" modern LED 1080p Smart TV from a reputable brand cost $797 (Black Friday deal but even at the currently quoted Amazon price of $897 it's still a great deal). The picture quality is superb - overall it is a definite upgrade to my old 42" plasma in several ways. I did notice the soap opera effect (never had even heard of this before until I was shopping for a new TV given I always had a plasma) so messed around with the settings and found the ones that work for me. Made some adjustments to the general settings (the ones that come out the box are not to my liking at all) and voila - very very good picture quality. 1080p movies (Netflix, Apple TV, etc.) look fantastic and way ahead of anything I am used to seeing from old TV. As does sports and if you want to turn on the 240mhz mode etc. that's the place to do it. I just left it at 120mhz and it's the film mode setting that makes all the difference to me - in the advanced settings put it at 0 for movies and it's great, for sports I put it at 5 to smooth out the frames a little more, or if you want it very smooth (to me its unnaturally smooth for video) put it at 10.Overall the picture quality is great, colors are saturated, sharpness is great and the overall quality of the panel is very good. Aesthetically it also looks a cut above its price range and peers with the super slim bezels and the race-track style stand. Being an edge-lit LED TV I did notice that the corners are a little brighter due to some white LED light bleed, but its minor and only really noticeable in a dark room in the Apple TV interface or other such pure black scenes. I didn't notice it in movies with dark scenes, or if it was there at all it was very faint. I guess this is where plasma still wins out with its purely uniform blacks but after reading about the superiority of plasma I was not underwhelmed with the Sharp's black levels at all. Another area plasma's are still better are the viewing angles - going to an extreme angle on the sides the image does get a little more washed out than a comparable plasma would. But for ordinary viewing angles (ie. a couch or a lounge chair on the side, etc.) it looks great so I wouldn't worry about it.I can't comment on the sound as I hooked it up to my sound system from the get-go. Connectivity is good, however as I have an Apple TV the only time I will probably use the 'smart' features are to update the firmware. That was super easy over wifi.Speaking of firmware on Dec 2nd Sharp released a firmware update and I updated my TV as soon as it arrived. To all those people that have reported a problem with rebooting/freezing I suspect this is Sharp's effort to fix that so I would give that a try right away. I can't guarantee that the update addresses the reboot problems for everyone but I installed it as soon as my TV arrived (and I did have one freeze before I updated the firmware on the day I got delivery - the menu screen froze and the remote became unresponsive forcing me to unplug the TV) and have not had an issue since updating the firmware. Will report back if anything changes but so far so good and thus I am very pleased with the purchase. Overall a very solid performer and great value then.

I like it !!!!
December 9, 2016
Bought this about 4 months ago and was concerned about making a big purchase via Amazon. Delivery was later in the day than expected but it wasn't a big deal. I decided not to get a 4K TV because I want the biggest size screen I could get for the money and the limited amount 4K content. I primarily watch sports via cable which probably won't be in 4K for while. Great Picture especially when its hooked up to and antenna (OTA).
Great TV. Beautiful and thin. Smart TV function otherwise good but for a few apps.
June 15, 2016
This picture on this TV is really fantastic. I'm really satisfied with my purchase. It's thin, very sheek, and the small border makes the screen look great when watching sports or a movie. However, with that being said, the smart TV function is somewhat inconsistent. The apps, in my experience, that work reliably are Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime video. However, HBO Go and MLB TV are the absolute worst--spotty and constant freezing. I have to sometimes restart my TV by unplugging it because the HBO sound will overlap onto my Netflix videos when I switch over. I also can't watch a single baseball game without it freezing or losing game feed at least once every 10 minutes with lag/freeze in between those times. I am considering a direct Ethernet cord connection to see if that solves the issues. Other than that, I am really happy with my purchase and would 100% buy this TV again if I had the chance.
Amazing TV, the stand is crappy and cheap
April 17, 2016
The delivery guys were great. Brought it in, took it out of the box, set it up on the stand and made sure it worked and nothing was wrong with it before leaving. The TV is great. Just the right size, the sound is amazing and the graphics and color are so wonderful. I was going to get a sound bar but it doesnt need it. I was also going to mount it on the wall but decided it was too much work and was concerned that the weight of the tv would be too much. Unfortunately as soon as I shifted my tv just a little to slide it back on the tv stand, it cracked and broke. The nails are not long enough and the plastic in the base that the nails are screwed into is also very cheap. So if you are leaving this TV on its original stand, DONT MOVE IT AT ALL, unless its 2 people picking it up just to shift it even an inch.
65J6300 Review: I-just-watch-TV version
April 16, 2016
This is for a normal person review. I get super confused from all the BS about black levels, ghosting, etc., etc. I pretty much want a TV to do the following well: (1) have a good picture when watching regular TV & sports, (2) have enough ports for HDMI, (3) be able to play next-gen video games and (4) look nice. This does all of those. It has a nice picture. Stuff on TV (shows/sports) looks nice. It has 4 HDMI ports. I can play Xbox1 & PS4. I'm done here. Its a great tv. Could it be better? Sure. Would I actually be able to tell the things that could make it better? Maybe. Can I get those things that make it better at a better price? Maybe in 3 years.Basically its a TV. It does what it's supposed to do better than other TVs.
Nice!
March 6, 2016
This TV was a replacement for another TV that could not be fixed. I was very surprised at how light weight it was and initially, very distressed by its lack of oomph! Yes it is thinner and I would have preferred a little more framing around the screen. But what it lacks in appearance it makes up for in functionality. It is brighter, cleaner, sharper and has some great features. Worth the price.

The TV is delivered on time as promised. Installation on the wall is relatively easier with proper tools (stud founder, etc.). Connection to WiFi and cable box is easy too.I do have problems when try to connect my ASUS computer to this TV as monitory although my other TVs have not problem connecting to my notebook ASUS computer. I searched internet, it seems that many customers of Samsung smart TV have the same issue when try to connect computer to the TV. I have to switch to my Dell notebook when connecting to this TV, Dell notebook works fine.I try to use the wireless keyboard to control the web surfing. The connection to the web is ok, but it is very slow. I am not sure if the Smart TV has enough processing power (CPU speed) to do a speedy surfing.I brought the TV one week before Thanksgiving at $2199.97, but noticed Amazon.com reduced the price to 1999.97 the next week, so was Samsung, Wlmart, etc. I contacted Amazon quoting the 30-day low price guarantee policy. The refund was processed promptly without any questions. Amazon is good at keeping its words.

Great tv for price.
Great performance/price combination
April 27, 2015
This TV has a beautiful picture and I haven't seen anything that I would knock it for, but I don't give 5 star reviews because that says there is never room for improvement. I was a little weary of buying it because of some of the reviews saying that the TV randomly turns off/on, but I haven't had any issues with it in the 3 months that I've had it. I did connect it to my wifi and run a firmware update when I received it, so maybe that had something to do with it?The main reason I got this TV is that it's positioned in front of an 8'x5' window and the glare on my plasma made it pretty much impossible to see what was on the TV before dark. The TV description said that it has a "semi matte" finish, so I thought that would eliminate most of the glare; it's definitely better than the plasma, but it probably would have been more cost effective to just buy blinds. If you are wondering, "Is this TV good for streaming?", you are asking the wrong question. What controls the quality if your stream is going to be more influenced by your ISP, WiFi speed, streaming provider and horsepower of your streaming player. I've got 60MBPS internet, 1GBPS wifi and use an Xbox One for Hulu Plus, Netflix and Amazon Instant Video. The picture quality and performance of everything across the board is great and I am very pleased. If you are thinking about buying this TV because you want better streaming performance or to eliminate glare from a window...don't. If you are thinking about buying this TV because you want a bad ass TV...do.
Great TV..connect wifi for firmware update and you're Golden!!!

Review for Sharp LC-60LE660 60-Inch Aquos .. I was very skeptical buying this TV and was fully prepared to return it if needed given the many reviews regarding it turning itself on and off and freezing etc. I was "lucky" (knock on wood) enough to find one under the used category in "like new" condition for $754. It arrived in it's original packaging, which was in perfect condition. The TV itself was packaged as originally from the factory as well as all the accessories,When first setting up the television, the first thing I did was connect the wi-fi because I was hoping the newest firmware update would be detected. While setting up the wi-fi the TV froze up and I had to unplug it. Once reconnected and powered back on it immediately displayed a message letting me know a new firmware update was detected and I opted to download it. It automatically downloaded and installed the update, which took about 15 minutes. The TV has operated perfectly since then. I bought this TV for my bedroom, but the picture rivals my Sony BRAVIA, which I paid 3X for. Loving it so far...what a great deal!!!

Delivery company Pilot Freight Services was excellent. Provided frequent updates; very courteous. Have an older model Aquos I'm happy with and the picture on this model is just as good. Would have given it 5 stars but it refuses to play MP4 files over a DLNA network. My older Aquos and an LG play the files just fine. Sharp CS is absolutely useless as they cannot understand the problem let alone assist in correcting it.

Disappointed
July 11, 2016
I'm disappointed in this tv. It is located downstairs with my modem and router located upstairs. My phone, computer, and iPad all pick up the signal from the tv location with no problem. The tv does not. The AT&T technician tells me this is a fairly common problem with smart TV's. Apparently, manufacturers skimp on the receivers. My smart tv is pretty dumb.

4 stars because this looks like it was opened and repackaged poorly, other then that TV is great.Edit:Been a few days watching the TV and there is a bit of light bleed on the one corner and bottom center. This light bleed problem is something I'm seeing with all these newer TVs. Prior to this TV I had gotten a more expensive 75 inch Sony 4k TV that I ended up returning because the light bleed problem was so much worse. I can deal with this but its still unacceptable, the older plasma TVs were alot better with the uniformity of the black.
Over processing ruins performance.
May 23, 2016
Picture is good, only after turning off all of the image processing features. Out of the box the motion on this TV is blurry and jumpy. I had to go in and turn off the "smooth motion" feature and dynamic contrast to make the motion smooth. Go figure, the "smooth motion" feature makes the motion look worse. What I have found with this is that all of the image processing makes the picture lag, I feel like the picture is better with all of this turned off. Maybe you will have better luck with another source but with Directv HD I think it is better with it all turned off. With all of the features on, the clarity is amazing, however I feel that the dynamic contrast makes things look artificial. Honestly this TV is mediocre compared to my Samsung Plasma that it replaced. The only thing I am impressed with is the smart features and RVU for use with Directv.

A very fancy, small Smart TV that fits nicely within a bookshelf in father's den. I love the well laid out remote! Has 4 HDMI plus on-board Netflix, browsing, Amazon Prime. It was difficult to set-up the wifi because of the poor, remote based entry screen for the password. (It may be possible to connect a wired USB keyboard and this would have helped.)But the GLARE makes it very difficult to watch. I'm going to have to try third-party anti-glare film to make it usable without closing the blinds.

It's over a week and trouble started. It turns on by itself every 2-3 hours even at night. Called Sharp Tech. Dept. They guide me thru. It did not work. It still turns on by itself.
Same issues as everyone else, but ok after hard reset from Sharp CS.
December 15, 2014
I'm having the exact same issues. I unboxed and set up this tv on Saturday 12/13/14 and it ran great for a few hours then the movie I was watching just froze. The tv remote would not do anything and neither would the power button on the tv. Unplugging the device and plugging back in was the only way to get it working again. Then Sunday morning 12/14/14 the tv would not power on and the power button also did not work. Unplugged and plugged back in. I did notice there was a system update so I went ahead and did the update and the tv worked great all day long. Then this morning 12/15/14 it would not power on. I had to unplug and plug back in for it to come on.I'll be calling Sharp CS and Assurant (since I also purchased the additional warranty) and I'm giving them this week to get it fixed or I'm sending back to Amazon and ordering a Samsung. The picture and sound are really great and I'd like to keep it, but right now I'm on the edge of going ahead and sending it back and not even calling Sharp or Assurant.I will follow up later.UPDATE 12/17/14 - So I called Sharp CS on Monday 12/15/14 and spoke with a very nice man (Dan) and we did a series of hard resets on the tv. After three days I have not had any further issues with the unit and the display looks even better than it did before the reset. It looks like I'm watching live action. Rating updated also.UPDATE 12/22/14 - No more issues since the resets on 12/15/14. Called Sharp CS and had them close out their ticket. If I can get another one at the price I got this one for, then I'm getting another one for my man cave.UPDATE 12/25/14 - see comments below.

I have had this TV for less than 2 months. At first everything seemed to be going great. Its super light weight, very good looking, full of great apps, and the picture and sound quality is good. Yesterday though I turned it on to get caught up on Game of Thrones and notices a line of dead pixels going across the screen. Confused I turned off the TV and turned it back on. The line was gone. Later I turned the TV off and on again and the line was back. It appears to be random at this time but I fear this will become permanent. The little research I have done makes it seem like this could be an irreversible problem. Not sure what I am going to do.

I've had this TV for barely a month and already issues with it. The picture is clear and is otherwise great, but about 2 minutes after powering it on it cuts out for a second or two before coming back on. Happens one or twice then is fine for however long you have it turned on.
Not what I was expecting!!!
December 9, 2015
I am writing an initial review until I receive a replacement. First off the tv was nice. It was packaged with big foam blocks on the end. So I'm thinking it was well protected. After going through and setting TV up to wi fi so I could test screen to make sure everything was good I did notice some acceptable light bleed on the black point testing. I thought it was more excessive than what Rting.com showed, but after looking at their screenshot I realized it was within tolerance and seemed to be uniform overall. However, when I tested the white point I noticed an issue at the top of the screen. I'm the type person that once I notice something my eye automatically focuses on it. I tried different movies and screen angles to make sure I wasn't being too maticulas. After putting a full white screenshot on the tv it was very noticeable. To the point that I noticed it during regular viewing. Damage was done during assembly or shipping. But it's definitely one of the two. We'll see how long I have to wait for a replacement. Took almost 2 weeks to get this one shipped from Amazon and I hope the next one isn't damaged or defective. Take a look at images below. I will post an update after I receive the new one.---UPDATE 12/28---So I received my replacement on 12/20 which was returned on 12/16. For some reason I had to call Amazon to get them to initiate the replacement. They had already received my return. I spent well over 30 mins on the phone. The rep (from India) had to keep putting me on hold b/c they were not authorized to proceed over $500. I'm not sure where the hold up was, but obviously Amazon does not have good auto return systems in place. It seems easy, but if you expect your order to be handled on its own (though their store return policy), you could be waiting a while. So I was hoping my replacement was all good. I did a test on it and noticed a brighter white spot (approx 1.5-2in dia) right of center (like something we pushing on back side of screen). At first I tried to ignore it, but once I notice something like that my eyes are immediately drawn to it. So the return/replacement process starts over.I called Amazon this time and wanted to make sure everything would be handled properly and if they would accept a second return so I wouldn't have to deal with Samsung. I asked if they could send the second replacement (3rd TV) before I sent the other back. After another 30 min phone call I got the rep to send out the replacement on the 23rd and I received on the 24th. I was pleased with fast ship. When I received the 3rd tv all looked well, but I did notice the screen was brighter at the bottom (light bleed). Much more than the second one. I compared the two (since I had both). I made all settings the same and the third one did have more of a warm (yellow) tint than the second one. The third one was also a month older. So I guess the light bleed is acceptable according to Samsung quality control. It is annoying because I notice it sense it runs the length of the bottom of the screen. I guess there are no near perfect tvs anymore. Technology quality sure has fallen off over the years. Darker colors are noticeably brighter and discolored due to the brighter light. It's like a band that runs across the bottom. I have adjust brightness to to make screen darker, but still there. What else am I going to do? Nothing!! So I just don't know if I got crappy lot of Tvs or if this is Samsung quality. This is the first Samsung TV I have owned and other than LG they are supposed to be one of the best. I'm not impressed. My 6 year old Toshiba is still flawless. As for the other options on the tv, everything seems to be ok. Anynet+ is kind of glitchy. The sound input cuts out on my Vizio 4051 soundbar sometimes when switching to Netflix and the speaker output doesn't stay synced. I had to go back and select it again under sound. I have it connected through HDMI-ARC. Sometimes the sound will skip (cut out). Not sure what this is. Also when switching channels on Directv, the screen will go completely black and it takes at least a second to change channels. Everytime. So I guess it is, what it is. I'm pretty much done messing with the whole thing. Mentally and physically drained from this whole return/replacement process. I had to call Amazon back today to setup pickup because all they did was send me a return label and want me to take to UPS. I cannot fit TV in my car. I spent over 30 mins again (with someone from India) trying to explain that I need a pickup for my return. They kept asking me about the other Tv (which was already returned). They kept going around in circles until they understood that I had two tvs and one needed to be returned because it was also defective. But that I was keeping the third one. Like I said. I'm done with this. It's taking one month to complete this process sense I placed my original order on 11/29. I bought this TV because of the good reviews and good price. Guess only part of that was right.
Could be better...

This is an excellent TV. Keep in mind, it is VERY heavy and awkward, due to its sheer size.I am not at all happy with the legs which came with the TV. They are made of plastic, not metal as they should be, and were very difficult to attach with only 2 small screws on each leg. Samsung's directions show that the TV should be laid flat on a table or bed to attach the legs, but NEVER in a million years would I lay a large TV down on its screen like that.I am still very worried that one day, one or both of these legs will crack, then break due to the sheer weight of the TV. If this happens, it will fall over, and be instantly be damaged beyond repair. This is a major failure on Samsung's part, and they need to correct this with new metal legs, with at least three attachment points on each leg.

Don't Buy This TV ...
November 14, 2016
I purchased this TV just under 2 years ago for my fiancée for his birthday. All was well, occasional freezing but nothing severe. Over the weekend, the television completely froze up, it was stuck on the "Sharp" logo on the screen and it would not do anything else. For 2 days we tried every reset imaginable and even called sharp and their suggested reset didn't work either. Sharp basically did nothing for us at all. I got so disgusted that we purchased a Samsung yesterday (which I should have done in the first place).I did not expect the tv to crap out on us so quickly. I am very disappointed. This is my first and last time buying a sharp product!
Not worth it
August 18, 2016
Didn't last very long. 1 year manufacturer's warranty, display went bad at about 18 months. Sharp doesn't offer the display parts, so the only option is to replace the television.

Within a week it started to turn on by itself, then lost the sound. Customer service suggested to disconnect power to fix the problem and it did.3 weeks later the problem came back.
Freezes Up, Doesn't Power On
November 12, 2014
This TV looked great long enough for me to sign for it and send the delivery guys on their way, but on day one it started freezing up randomly, and I would have to unplug the TV to turn it off and restart it. It also turned off on its own a few times. Now, it won't start up. It just displays the Sharp logo in red on a black screen, indefinitely. So I have a TV that worked great out of the box, but hours later worked poorly, and days later, it's useless. To Sharp's credit, they're sending technicians (from a local third-party company) who have ordered "a new PC board" to try and fix it under warranty.I'll update this review. But all I can share for now is that my experience has been awful.- - -Update: Day 7. The repair company tells me the part they tried to order is backordered at Sharp, with no ETA. Sharp says they'll look into it and get back to me by the end of next week. Enough was enough, I talked to Amazon, returning the Sharp and buying a Sony.

GREEN SCREEN
June 20, 2017
I received and installed the TV on my wall, when I turn it on for the first time, half of the screen was green and a big horizontal green line on the bottom of the screen, I was so mad I could not believe this was happening to me after paying so much for this Samsung 75 in TV. It looks like the LED screen its completely damage. I want a replacement part or exchange this for a new TV. Please help...
TV Didn't Work
December 18, 2016
The TV didn't work so I had to ship it back. I purchased the same model but a 43" from a local store and love it ! I ordered this same 50" model TV directly from Samsung and it arrived with a hole in the top right corner. Lesson learned - purchase a TV from a local store. This way if there are any issues you just drive back to the store and return it.

Amazing picture...but, sound is gone
June 2, 2016
Picture is amazing, easy set up, but sound is not the greatest--I have to turn volume way up (level 60+) in order to hear spoken words clearly...adding a sound bar is in the immediate future.Edit: after 6 weeks of purchase, the sound control has gone out and is no longer eligible for return. Buyer beware!
3 bad panels....
April 22, 2016
TV was originally great. Then about 5-6 weeks in I noticed a small, 1 pixel wide, vertical red line down the screen. I did my due diligence and made sure it was something like a bad HDMI cable, etc. No matter what source I used the line would appear. The line also appeared in the picture test that can be displayed on the screen regardless of the source. I was pretty confident I had a bad panel. Called support and I was walked through all of the troubleshooting steps that I had already tried. I expected as much, so I was not too irritated until I was told to do a picture reset, then call back in 2-3 days. Why did I need to wait 2-3 days I asked? I was told so that the picture reset could "do it's job". This was of course complete garbage. I waited 4 days and called back in. They finally admitted it was likely a bad panel and would dispatch a repairman to replace the panel. It took about a week for him to arrive with the new panel. He swapped it out in about a half hour. When we turned the tv on it was nothing but black and green blocks. Another bad panel. He said he would have to order another. 3 days passed and he returned with another panel. This one wouldn't even power on. It had a bad T-con board. At this point the repairman, who I can only say was doing his absolute best, said that it might be better to get a replacement TV. We called in to Samsung "Executive Customer Support" who basically told me there was nothing that they could do because the TV had not been deemed defective. I asked what she thought constituted defective? She said that they generally give the repair people 2 weeks to resolve the issue before considering replacement. I asked her what she considered 3 defective panels? I said I consider that to be extremely poor QA. She said there was nothing more that I can do and to have the repairman call back into tech support. He did so and stated what had been done to try to resolve the issue. The Samsung tech support person said, "What do you expect me to do"? Really? After getting everything documented on the support side, I was told to call back into customer support to again request a replacement. This time after additional questioning I was told the case would be put under review for consideration for replacement. It will take another 1-3 days. I work in IT. I make large purchasing decisions, and have always used Samsung panels. Personally I have always bought Samsung tablets, TVs, and phones as well. After this debacle I am fairly certain I will look elsewhere to purchase my devices....not that Samsung cares.
Beware of lesser quality outsourced LED panels
April 25, 2015
This information is strictly for prospective buyers who want a Samsung set with a Samsung panel. Samsung is increasing the amount of inferior panels out of Taiwan. These include panels from AUO and Innolux. Samsung also uses Sharp panels in their 60" sizes but this year the UN60J6300 has a AUO panel. AUO and Innolux panels will give your lower contrast ratios, poorer black levels and degraded motion handling. I know because I have last years UN65H6350 which has the exact panel as this years 65" size. I also did a side by side comparison with the 55" and the 75". I was fortunate to have several local folks agree to bring their sets over. We fed all three sets with the same Blur ray sources and FIOS tv. The 55" and 75" with the Samsung panels had superior contrast levels and black levels. Motion handling was also much better. There is a real world difference between these panels. Also you can find your panel at panel look and even the specs are different. You can find your version number on the outside of the box or on the back of the set opposite of the inputs. Here is a list of each size, version number and maker: UN32J6300= TD01-Samsung, UN40J6300=TS01-Samsung, UN50J6300=DH01-AUO, UN55J6300=TH01-Samsung, UN60J6300=MS01-AUO, UN65J6300=AH01-AUO, UN75J6300=TH01-Samsung. Stay clear of the 50", 60", and 65". Bump up to the 7 series if you are interested in the 50", 60" and 65" sizes of this model.. Again this is for information purposes only. More info on the panel lottery can be found at avsforum.com. With a Samsung panel this set is a great choice. With a outsourced panel, you are getting less picture quality then you are paying for. Also this set has a 60hz panel instead of a 120hz. That is why it only states motionflow of 120 vs last year's 6350 which had a motionflow of 240. I verified this on panel look and the panel is native 60hz. A real step back.

Do not buy !!!
July 27, 2017
Do not buy!!! This tv went out first time six months after buying. Was repaired under warranty and has now gone out again 3 months after warranty has expired. Less than 2 years old. Sharp is the worst electronics company out there. Stick with sony or samsung.
Sharp Sucks! Do NOT purchase Sharp!
May 8, 2017
My mother loved her first sharp tv, it was stolen. I purchased her this one and the HDMI port was faulty. I called Sharp to refund, and that is NOT AN OPTION for sharp. The picture would just blank out black for 15 minutes at a time! Sharp wanted me to buy another cable and then push buttons while powering down and then determine if a service guy should come out of if they would ship a possible refurbished one! (since this was a 2014 model! There were no exceptions and I called Sharp 4 times having to go throughout he vm tree to get to the same point!

I bought this TV 1 1/2 years ago for my vacation home. I can now turn the TV on but not off. The only thing that comes on the screen is the words SHARP. When I called the help line they gave me a list of things to try. None of them worked. Next I was given the name of a service center to take it to. I had to use the service center before. No matter what you take in "It can not fixed or it will cost over $600.00." I was also told that todays TVs are only suppose to last about 2 years. This was not a cheap TV. 2 years! are you kidding me! I have another Sharp Aquos TV and it is over 10 years old. I will not buy another SHARP product if this is what things have come to. I probably only have about 30 hours watch time on this tv. Do not buy the LC-60LE660U tv.
Great til it developed a green line at 4 days old.
February 13, 2015
TV seemed good until the 4th day when it developed a green line across the screen. It had the green line no matter what input it was on. I did a search and it seems this is a common problem for Aquos TV's. Returned the TV, Amazon was great, even though I threw the box out the didn't give me any problems about returning the TV and even offered to pay for a box to ship it back in.
Nightmare on SHARP Street
January 14, 2015
Had the TV professionally installed on 12-29..half hour after they left the TV pic went out. They came back and unplugged TV for a minute and replugged it and it worked for 4 hours before it happened again. They told me to call SHARP for help. Long story short..I called customer service and in order over the next few days spoke to David, Cardell and on 1-1 Kash. Kash set up a service call a few days later on 1-6. On 1-6 nobody showed. That evening I spoke to Bradley who said it wasn't SHARPs fault that the tech didn't come. When I asked about a call so as not to tie up the whole day waiting, he apologized but said again they aren't responsible for missed appointments. He asked if I wanted another appointment and I said we are going on vacation and wouldn't be home. Three days later while on vacation I received a call from D' Marion. He wanted me to turn on the TV and walk me thru a troubleshooting process. Explained I wasn't home and thru our convo he revealed a couple of disturbing items. First the service call was cancelled by SHARP because they wanted to troubleshoot first. (thanks for letting me know you cancelled appt) and that the model I purchased has been having numerous problems.(unbelievable). I really cant waste anymore time on this and will be contacting Amazon for help because after talking to SHARPs 5 different reps I am still at square 1 and I'm smart enough at my age to know what a "run around" is....steer clear of this TV!
Not worth the trouble
December 28, 2014
I have had many of the same issues as the others have noted. The TV will randomly shut off and turn itself back on. It doesn't matter if I'm watching Netflix or basic cable. Also, the internal wifi would not connect to my router. I own a Roku and used that to connect to Netflix, but eventually I decided to try to utilize Sharp's built in apps. I had a 25' ethernet cable that I was able to stretch to my TV from my router. I connected the TV through its wired settings and it easily recognized my router. I immediately did the factory update ( which I waited to do thinking it was causing the other people's TV issues, but threw that theory out the window when my TV shut itself off for no reason). I unplugged that cable and tried again to hook the TV up using its internal wifi and it was successful. I was happily surprised. I never had a connection issue after that, but unfortunately there were more issues. The Netflix app would work for about 2-3 hours and it would start to get wavy lines running through whatever show you were watching as if it was becoming unstable. From there, I couldn't exit Netflix fully before the TV would freeze up. I could shut it off, but the white power light would remain on and I couldn't turn the TV back on at all. I had to reach behind the TV which is on a wall mount and try to unplug it - which is very inconvenient because all the cords are so tight back there. I started using my Roku again so the only issue was the random shut downs. Regardless, I saved the box and started the return process after owning it for 3 weeks. I already ordered a Sony KDL60W630B 60-Inch 1080p 120Hz Smart LED TV. It was $300 more, but the reviews tend to be excellent and consumer reports rated it a best buy. It's too bad, this TV has excellent picture quality and looks great on my wall. This time, it seems you get what you pay for. Don't waste your time and energy on this TV.
