Husqvarna quality

These chains can't be beat. They throw chips a long time. Have cut all types of wood with it and it stays sharp. Just make sure to keep oil in your oiler and you won't be disappointed.
Cuts stuff. Mostly wood items
December 9, 2016
This thing does exactly what it's meant for. It cuts right through sh!t. I had a bunch of limbs, cut right them. Sometimes you get on a terror and can't stop. I can advise that this will go right through a nightstand, which was frowned upon by my wife but wtf can you do. There is a door in my house that has been a bit lippy and i will let you know what happens.
and out of the package it was super sharp and pulled nicely through walnut
August 1, 2016
I sharpened my last chain, with a Dremel, and that seemed okay, but nothing beats a new chain. I've decided to stick with Husqvarna brand chains and oils and such for my relatively new Husqvarna saw, and this chain was the right price, delivered in 2 days with Amazon Prime, what more could I want? Put on the new chain over the weekend, and out of the package it was super sharp and pulled nicely through walnut. Love love love it. I'm trying to decide, really, if I should bother sharpening the chain more than a few times or just get a couple of these guys on hand and swap out when necessary - about $16 bucks for a new chain versus half an hour (probably less with some practice) sharpening my chain with the dremel... After 3 dozen cuts on 12-18 inch walnut logs, the teeth still feel very sharp.
Perfect fit and function
February 26, 2016
Perfect fit and function! My dad had been using the old, dull blade on his chainsaw and just running through oil on it. He said it was taking soooo long to cut down a a 4" diameter tree that he gave up on cutting trees and logs in the yard. I told him let me get a new chain and see the difference. Man, was he impressed. Definitely going to buy more of these as the chains wear out.
I'm not sure whether my husky or this chain deserves the five star rating but let's just say both of them
January 16, 2016
I have a pretty expensive still model chainsaw is well and I find myself going to the Husky so I'm not sure whether it's the chain or the Husky itself. Seems to hold a sharp thing very well. it's been doing extremely well on oak cedar and beachwood
Great Chain - Great Value
February 20, 2012
I used to use Oregon chains as my replacement chain. They are available at Farm and Fleet and on sale they were around $18.00. Now the price has gone up and on sale they are closer to $20. When I saw this chain at this price - I got a spare right away. It might be my imagination, but it seems like the Husqvarna chain stays sharper longer too. In any case, being able to get an actual Husqvarna chain for my Husqvarna saw at a good price, just seems right! As the other reviewer states - be sure that the chain will fit your saw. I have a 350 with a 16" bar - (narrow kerf, 0.050") and this is the right chain for that bar.

Cuts wood well. Easy to sharpen.

I bought this as a backup chain for my chain saw. I have always had good results with Oregon chains.

It's a great chain that lasts a long time and stays sharp ...
October 9, 2015
I bought a replacement Oregon bar for my Sears saw and it uses this chain! During the summer I've cut up a number of 40+ year old pine trees broken during a tornado.(they were green when broken and the pine tar and pitch gummed up everything but the chain) as well as Oak trees as large as 18" around. The chain outperformed the chains on the husky and stihl saw friends were using hands down. It's a great chain that lasts a long time and stays sharp for a surprising length of time.

Good chain. Better than most I have used.
July 9, 2015
The first one I bought arrived bent off center so it kept slipping the bar. But they immediately replaced it and the new one is good. The chain is more durable than most I have used. It stays sharp, I would estimate, about 25% longer than others I have had. I have cut down and broken down about 40 mid sized (4-10" trunk diameter) buck thorn trees this summer. I am at the point now that the chain finally needs sharpening. The way I look at it is that you should see chains as disposable. You should get one or two good sharpenings out of them so it is that initial stage before sharpening that sets most chains apart. This one has cut down a lot of stuff over many hours and I am happy with how it has held up.
It's a saw chain
December 17, 2013
It's a brand name saw chain. It's shiny. It's made of metal. It's a saw chain. It is what it is, and it does what it's supposed to do.
Great chain; came in a crappy cardboard carton.
April 23, 2013
My only complaint is the package. The chain is pictured in a plastic container. The chains I bought are the correct item but came in card stock boxes. Card stock boxes get crushed and torn easily. That is perhaps not a problem when the purchased chain is placed on a saw right away and used. It does become a problem when the chain is carried as a spare. The plastic container is vastly superior for storage. Others have mentioned the plastic container is difficult to open. That is true, one does need a knife to open the package. However, I would much prefer to have to carefully cut the package open one time than have to deal with cardboard that is readily crushed and torn. That is my only reason for 4 stars and not 5. It is a good chain. If the picture illustrated a cardboard box I would have given 5 stars. As for the comments that the chain did not fit the 445; I have one of those as well as a 440e. This chain fits both of mine. . There are many chain specs that must match properly; not only the length but the number of drive links, the width of the slot the chain runs in and the pitch. When I buy chains I start with the catalog listing but then also verify the specs of the new chain match the specs that came listed with my saw.

December 10, 2016
I use this for my Husky 460 Rancher. It is a good chain. It is a chain for the novice or intermediate. If you are looking for a more aggressive chain go with the Husqvarna 501842672 20" H47-72. A more more aggressive will cut faster but have more kick back potential so know what you are doing.
Better price than a Stihl chain

Works great on my stihl 039.
Decent chain

Longer than my original chain, had to crank the bar way out almost to max extension to fit, but otherwise worked fine.

Not a very long life between sharpening
May 10, 2012
This chain works very well to break down limbs and small branches. It will last for many hours in this use. However, once you use it to cut up a few (3 or 4) 10-12" hardwood logs you'll find it dulling quite quickly. The saw definitely has the power to get through the wood but the blades just don't last. I think it's the technique used to sharpen them. It produces a hollow bevel thats pretty thin and dulled easily. If all you plan on doing is pruning small 3-4" branches this chain is perfect and will last hours and hours. Anything larger and it'll be up in smoke in no time flat.

Oregon Chainsaw Chain
October 28, 2016
Fit is okay although this chain is wider than the one being replaced, and this caused mild rubbing. As to cutting ability, this chain is only fair. It is better than the completely dull chain but does not cut as quickly as that one did when it was new.
Did not fit.
February 25, 2016
I imagine it would be fine...It does not fit a Husqvarna 450 which is what I have. Could be clearer as to what it fits.
Good for the weekend warrior
July 19, 2015
I use Oregon chains on my Husky 455 Rancher with great success. This particular chain, the Vanguard is similar to the stock Husky chain and ones you'll find in hardware stores. These have the anti-kick back design which I find to be useless to anyone except for the occasional user or someone who probably shouldn't be using a chainsaw in the first place. I can maybe cut 1/8th of a cord with these before they wear enough that the depth gauge reduces cutting, even though it's still sharp. If you know what you're doing, you can grind down the depth gauge to allow it to cut longer, but it will kick back harder since you're altering the design and eliminating the extra material. The plus side is on a fresh resharpen I can get about 3 times the cutting time with an altered and reduced depth. If you're looking for a good chain and know how to use a chainsaw without needing an emergency room visit, I'd recommend looking into the SuperGuard and Chisel blades from Oregon. I can get a cord & more easily with those and they resharpen nicely, cut fast and are usually cheaper.

used on a Poulan Pro, it performed well but didn't take long for the chain to stretch past the adjustment capabilities of the Poulan, I'll have to see about removing some links.
NOT FOR POULAN
December 29, 2012
I am sure this is a good chain as I have used several in the past, however this will not fit a Poulan as advertised, I had to swap it out at a local store who was gracious enough to take it for a trade even though it was purchased here. Poulan uses an H-78 chain.

Take your saw to Ace Hardware instead.
March 15, 2015
Could never get this to work on my Husqvarna saw. Had to take to local Ace Hardware, who put on another brand, Stihl, that worked perfectly. Cost, including the labor, about $5 more than just this chain.
The chain length is 21.5" in a loop fold
June 25, 2014
I looked up blade length that corresponds with this package and it was the same as mine, So I thought it'd be the right one. NOPE!
Does NOT fit Husqvarna 445 16 inch bar
April 13, 2014
This product is fine - BUT IS DOES NOT FIT! The descriptions says it fits a 445 Husky chainsaw, but it is at least 3-4 links short!Do NOT buy for this chainsaw unless you are willing to take it to a chainsaw shop and have them add more links to make it the right length

Will not stay sharp
December 4, 2014
Got this for my boyfriend since he had heard good things about this chain and it was cheaper than the other one he gets. He has said nothing but bad about it. He uses his saw for a few hours a day and said he can not keep this chain sharp. He is going back to his old chain type that he uses. He would not recommend it to anyone. Hope this helps!
Two Extra Links
August 18, 2012
This 20" saw chain had two more links than the factory installed chain. What's up with that? Now, when I change chains, I have to go through some manipulations that are a nuisance.
Not the right chain
March 14, 2011
Please be careful when ordering chains on Amazon. I bought the 20" Poulan and they recommended this chain for the saw but it clearly doesn't fit. It should be the D70 not D72 chain for the saw. I damaged my saw a little becasue I couldn't get the chain tight enough. Lesson learned however.

Very poor quality chain. I recommend Oregon in the future. Ha s lasted on about 10 minutes of cutting wood and even when hand sharpened it didn't last more than 5 more minutes
Does NOT fit Husqvarna 435
January 6, 2012
I ordered this because the description says it fits the Husqvarna 435 chainsaw. This is not correct. This chain is WAAAAAY to short for the 435. I had to return it and buy the replacement chain at Lowe's for $20.
