Side by Side Comparison of: ESET vs Microsoft

Was a bit skeptical of buying this because of the price being so much lower than Eset themselves. I contacted Eset personally to see if they could drop the price for me renewing but they wouldn't. Purchasing here was like half the price and the CD key worked for 2017. Only thing that really scared me after I got it was the CD key requires dashes and I didn't add them the first time. Most of the time they add the dash for you. Only a brief panic until I figured it out. Love the software though. So lightweight and basically just hides in the background 99% of the time.

Save some money and buy your AV this way. The license for this product is meant for only new PCs -- I happened to be plugging it into a new PC, however, I had already installed a one-year license of this product onto it before I caught this deal. I added this license and it worked without complaining. Simply put the license code in (skip the CD) and you're all set.As far as ESET NOD32 is concerned, it works at least as well as all of the other AV products out there in catching malware (finding a "good metric" for what works well and what doesn't is almost impossible these days but ESET has had a good reputation in this area). Unfortunately, AV is becoming less and less useful at catching threats these days, but you'd be insane to run a PC without AV, so it's a necessity.I use ESET for a few reasons - the first is performance - ESET is consistently less resource intensive than other AV products. The second is that I've yet to have this product interfere with an application due to incompatibilities. That's about the best you can hope for.

I consistently purchase this product to protect my entire family's computers. scans incoming emails, website traffic, and files. After the initial scan, i don't really have to direct it to do very much else. the program is also fairly lean or resources and they don't use a lot of unnecessary graphics to many the application prettier or bigger.I personally have 5 computers in my house using this software, i have my neighbors and close family using it, and i suggest all my client purchase it when i build them computers or when they have to renew their antivirus software.

I primarily bought this for a netbook I use for surfing the net. Low system usage and the fact I had experience with the company before made me purchase it. I was working at a hotel and it was the Firewall and the AV from this company that was basically protecting the unpatched copies of XP. After the manager and owner refuse to renew the computers were infected with worms and trojans which took me awhile to fix.I like eset and the android logo they use for protection if you are going a paid route for AV this is one of the best software to buy.

I've been using ESET NOD32 ANTI VIRUS for several years now and have never had any type of intrusion problem on my desktop or laptops whatsoever. Great protection, auto updates, and a great price compared to what the "big boys" are charging for virus protection. I was first introduced to ESET by a tech friend who works for a large corporation who stated in his opinion ESET was the best virus protection out there. Others may disagree but I won't argue with success and I urge those looking for a good virus protection to do some research on this excellent company and their products.

ESET's NOD32 Antivirus software is renown for its' limited use of computer resources. I run it on a very old HP and it is utterly unobtrusive. It integrated seamlessly with both Windows 7 and Microsoft Defender. The updates are daily and automatic. I choose to run the scans manually but the Windows task manager can be used to automate those. The program size is as big as the ISP provided antivirus programs, greater than 100K, but it doesn't jam my single core AMD processor even when I'm running media files or surfing the internet.This software license may be run on a single motherboard but permits multiple operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Mac.

Only been 2 months but all is good and clear of problems.

The product was described as a "new 2015" ESET NOD32 antivirus program. While the CD was in a case labeled as 2015, the CD itself for the program inside was a 2014 product. I paid full price for a used product, and I am very unhappy about that.
